:01:25. > :01:34.The Big Wheel was given the go-ahead by Stratford-on-Avon District

:01:35. > :01:37.Council for a six month trial at the Recreation Ground,

:01:38. > :01:38.despite opposition from the Town Council

:01:39. > :01:40.and hundreds of local residents.

:01:41. > :01:42.People come from all over the world in their

:01:43. > :01:43.thousands to visit Stratford-upon-Avon because of

:01:44. > :01:46.I think visitors who come to share that experience

:01:47. > :01:50.will be horrified when they see that going round and round in their face.

:01:51. > :01:52.Those in favour believe it will offer more choice to tourists

:01:53. > :01:54.and will bring money into Stratford.

:01:55. > :02:01.We have a number of attractions in Stratford

:02:02. > :02:03.but diversifying them and

:02:04. > :02:07.giving people more things to do is often on everyone's agenda.

:02:08. > :02:09.As the first punters took to the skies, young

:02:10. > :02:15.I can see that tourists will enjoy it all,

:02:16. > :02:17.you know, will be able to have another

:02:18. > :02:21.facility in Stratford but in

:02:22. > :02:23.terms of the edge historical significance of Stratford I'm not

:02:24. > :02:28.sure it really fits with the kind of view of Stratford, really.

:02:29. > :02:32.The wheel's fortune will be reviewed in six months,

:02:33. > :02:38.but it's here to stay till the end of summer.
