:00:10. > :00:11.A potentially lethal batch of the Class B drug Black Mamba

:00:12. > :00:14.is being distributed around Birmingham, according

:00:15. > :00:18.It comes after a man died in the city centre overnight

:00:19. > :00:24.The man who died was found in Fletcher's Walk in the early

:00:25. > :00:29.Police say he was homeless and believed to be in his 30s.

:00:30. > :00:31.Despite help from paramedics, he couldn't be saved.

:00:32. > :00:35.He'd been helped in the past by Birmingham homeless outreach.

:00:36. > :00:38.This lad that died this morning was very, very popular.

:00:39. > :00:44.He had a lot of friends on the streets, they loved him,

:00:45. > :00:50.And we're seeing young kids out here with drink and drug problems,

:00:51. > :00:53.family problems out here, off their face on this.

:00:54. > :00:56.You know, they can't move, they can't talk.

:00:57. > :01:10.And within a few months, I'll be honest, most of them die.

:01:11. > :01:14.-- within a few months of being on this.

:01:15. > :01:16.Black Mamba, also known as Spice, was recently reclassified

:01:17. > :01:21.A number of homeless charities told me use initially dropped,

:01:22. > :01:23.but in the last few months, it's surged.

:01:24. > :01:27.We're having ambulances out three, four times a morning,

:01:28. > :01:32.it's not a Class A drug, so the law is not so strict on it.

:01:33. > :01:35.And it's available everywhere, on the internet, they just ring

:01:36. > :01:37.people up, people will bring it out to them.

:01:38. > :01:41.West Midlands Police say they believe the current batch

:01:42. > :01:44.of drugs on the streets of Birmingham is potentially lethal.

:01:45. > :01:46.Officers say they will take strong action against anyone involved

:01:47. > :01:49.in the production or supply of the drugs as they work

:01:50. > :01:56.to stamp out the supply chain across the region.

:05:32. > :05:38.rain bearing weather front in the far north-west. As the front pushes

:05:39. > :05:46.south, it will weaken. We will not see rain, but it introduces cooler

:05:47. > :05:50.air behind. The showers overnight in Scotland will fall as sleet and

:05:51. > :05:51.snow. It will be a cold start first
