:00:44. > :00:45.There are hundreds of people here today to show solidarity
:00:46. > :00:49.and support to keep the 24-hour, seven day a week accident
:00:50. > :00:51.and emergency department and the fully functioning
:00:52. > :00:57.And they're not being fooled or misled by those people who say
:00:58. > :00:59.we're going to keep a women's and children's centre at Telford.
:01:00. > :01:02.The protest was organised by Telford and Wrekin Council.
:01:03. > :01:06.People who live in the area share the council leaders' concerns.
:01:07. > :01:09.They've spent millions of pounds on the women's and children's
:01:10. > :01:13.To close it is a complete waste of money.
:01:14. > :01:16.This facility is here and should remain here,
:01:17. > :01:18.and is of great benefit to this community.
:01:19. > :01:21.What we need for our hospital is more funding
:01:22. > :01:28.But Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust say the proposed emergency centre
:01:29. > :01:38.would be 50% larger than the current A and attract more staff.
:01:39. > :01:40.There would also be accident and urgent care centres at both
:01:41. > :01:42.hospitals, which would be open 24 hours a day.
:01:43. > :01:44.Local MPs Lizzie Allen and Mark Pritchard have suggested
:01:45. > :01:49.that Telford would keep the women's and children's unit,
:01:50. > :01:55.Around 900 people turned out for this protest today,
:01:56. > :02:00.No final decision has been made on the proposals, and there will be
:02:01. > :02:09.It's St George's Day which means it's the start
:02:10. > :02:13.But in the Vale of Evesham there's more celebrate than usual
:02:14. > :02:15.because the Worcestershire-grown vegetable has been granted European
:02:16. > :02:19.It means it joins the likes of champagne and Parma ham,
