:00:04. > :00:11.Good evening. Welcome to North West Tonight with Gordon Burns and

:00:11. > :00:13.Ranvir Singh. Our top story: the heroes return.

:00:13. > :00:17.77 years after their last county championship win Lancashire bring

:00:17. > :00:27.home cricket's top trophy. We'll be live at Old Trafford with

:00:27. > :00:34.Tony. For the conquering heroes are home.

:00:34. > :00:36.After 77 years, they have arrived. Eco-warriors set up camp in

:00:36. > :00:38.Lancashire, they're planning a big weekend protest against

:00:38. > :00:42.controversial plans to drill for gas.

:00:42. > :00:45.Strictly out of of line or telling a few home truths? Dance judge

:00:45. > :00:52.Bruno gives his verdict on Blackpool. It's full of drunks, he

:00:52. > :01:02.says. Not too keen, Blackburn's fans

:01:02. > :01:12.

:01:12. > :01:14.planning a demo calling for their It's been a long time coming but

:01:14. > :01:16.Lancashire's cricketers today returned home in triumph with

:01:16. > :01:23.cricket's top trophy, the County Championship. The last time they

:01:23. > :01:26.won it outright was back in 1934. The team arrived back in Manchester

:01:26. > :01:30.today after that nail-biting season finale at Taunton yesterday, tired,

:01:30. > :01:39.happy and very possibly hungover. Let's join Tony Livesey who's at

:01:39. > :01:44.Old Trafford now. I can confirm they were handover.

:01:45. > :01:48.It is quiet at the moment but the smell of successes in the air. If

:01:48. > :01:53.you've had a few beers, the last thing you want to do is spend six

:01:53. > :01:58.hours on a coach. When they got here, it looks as though the party

:01:58. > :02:04.was about to start again. -- it looked as though.

:02:04. > :02:09.You wait 77 years for a bus... And then it finally arrives. Lancashire

:02:09. > :02:12.have won the one-day trophies galore for decades. No one present

:02:12. > :02:19.Today has ever seen anything like this before. The coach wouldn't

:02:20. > :02:23.exactly have been a horse drawn one of these fellas just -- won the out

:02:23. > :02:30.right Championship him amounted it is seven. But today was about the

:02:30. > :02:37.new breed. I was so happy to be out there in the end. By wanted to get

:02:37. > :02:44.over the line. There were a few lads with thick heads on the bus

:02:44. > :02:48.but it was well deserved. There was a brilliant atmosphere. That is why

:02:49. > :02:58.we all play the game, four days like that. I've got the stump here.

:02:58. > :03:04.If you have signed it. -- a few. The skipper has been trying to win

:03:04. > :03:09.this for 20 years. Is this your Freddie Flintoff moment? They would

:03:09. > :03:13.not let us drink past 1am, the baht closed. We were lucky, it could

:03:13. > :03:17.have got a message. They will probably have another go tonight.

:03:17. > :03:24.After being run as a six-times over the last 14 years, these home-grown

:03:24. > :03:30.that boys have done what countless home -- household names have failed

:03:30. > :03:35.to do, they are champions. You couldn't stop them smiling once

:03:35. > :03:40.that bus arrived. It was a magic moment. The club gets a cheque for

:03:40. > :03:45.500,000 for winning the title. Couple that with a 30 million

:03:45. > :03:49.redevelopment of Old Trafford, and excitement lies ahead. I'll be back

:03:49. > :03:54.later with the sport and there will be speaking to the coach who has

:03:54. > :04:04.minded -- masterminded this historic victory.

:04:04. > :04:06.Terrific stuff. More of today's news now, and up to 200

:04:06. > :04:08.environmental protesters are expected to gather in West

:04:08. > :04:12.Lancashire over the next 24 hours. They're protesting plans to extract

:04:12. > :04:15.gas from underground shale beds. Green groups say burning more

:04:15. > :04:18.fossil fuels will exacerbate climate change. But there also more

:04:18. > :04:21.local concerns. Test drilling was stopped a few weeks ago after the

:04:21. > :04:31.area was hit by a series of small earth tremors. Let's join Colin

:04:31. > :04:32.

:04:32. > :04:35.Sykes who's at the camp at Hesketh Bank.

:04:35. > :04:38.The first protesters started arriving this morning and all day

:04:38. > :04:43.long, they'd been putting up tents in anticipation of what they hope

:04:43. > :04:47.will be 200 people taking part in a peaceful protest over the weekend.

:04:47. > :04:52.A couple of miles away from where the rigours drilling for shale gas.

:04:52. > :04:59.India, they got the chance to meet the men from the mining company. --

:04:59. > :05:02.earlier on. I know you guys are not trying to scare people... The boss

:05:02. > :05:08.of the mining company meets his critics head-on. It's about

:05:09. > :05:14.understanding of the sounds. can people not be scared of the

:05:14. > :05:16.catalogue... It is fair to say the eco campers did not buy the

:05:17. > :05:22.argument that shale gases called for them but they did make their

:05:22. > :05:28.points. A couple of miles away is the raid in its current location.

:05:28. > :05:32.It is portable and is trailing 9000 ft below into the share of. --

:05:32. > :05:37.drilling. This is part of the testing process. The company has

:05:37. > :05:41.not yet decided whether to apply for commercial licences. Dozens of

:05:41. > :05:45.protesters are expected over the weekend to voice their opposition

:05:45. > :05:50.to the process where rock deep underground has fractured using

:05:50. > :05:56.water and lubricants to release the gas. Some operations were suspended

:05:56. > :05:59.after a mini earth tremor which followed a trial. The results of an

:05:59. > :06:03.investigation will be known soon. There were two minor earthquakes in

:06:03. > :06:11.the area and we halted the operation to do a detailed study,

:06:11. > :06:18.to look at the effect between pumping and the seismic activity

:06:18. > :06:22.induced. We expect to have that report published within 30 days.

:06:22. > :06:26.Some local campaigners have joined the process. -- protest. They are

:06:26. > :06:29.worried about the wider impact. have seen some of the problems they

:06:29. > :06:35.have had in America and we are quite concerned about how it will

:06:35. > :06:39.be regulated, accidents. It will be going through a main route through

:06:39. > :06:45.the village. Obviously, we are concerned about any effect that

:06:45. > :06:49.might have on our local area. natural gas at record prices, the

:06:49. > :06:57.quest for new sources has become urgent. Convincing people this type

:06:57. > :07:03.of extraction is safe is not proving to be easy.

:07:03. > :07:07.Real concerns from the people there. But what about local opposition?

:07:08. > :07:10.As you say, a lot of protesters have come from all over the country,

:07:10. > :07:15.following for campaign on Facebook and Twitter. Locally, the feeling

:07:15. > :07:21.is mixed. A group of councillors say they are setting up their own

:07:21. > :07:23.working party to look at the possible impact of drilling. The

:07:23. > :07:26.local parish council say they recognise the company as a

:07:26. > :07:29.legitimate company operating under a government licence and with

:07:30. > :07:35.planning permission from the local council. The demonstration here

:07:35. > :07:39.will culminate in a protest on Sunday afternoon.

:07:39. > :07:42.Police said today that the deaths of a baby boy and his father in

:07:42. > :07:47.Preston would be the subject of a major case review by the

:07:47. > :07:50.authorities. Detectives believe Ollie McBride was suffocated by his

:07:50. > :07:57.father Paul, who then hanged himself. The family was known to

:07:57. > :08:02.social services. There is still a sense of disbelief

:08:02. > :08:06.in Preston, where the bodies of Oliver and his father, Paul, were

:08:06. > :08:12.discovered yesterday. A post-mortem examination revealed that the man

:08:12. > :08:15.had died from hanging, his six months old son from suffocation.

:08:15. > :08:18.Detectives said they were not seeking anyone else in connection

:08:18. > :08:22.with the deaths. It is understood Ollie's parents had been living

:08:22. > :08:26.apart and he had been on an access visit from the tragedy happened.

:08:26. > :08:30.Lancashire police today confirmed that their officers had attended a

:08:30. > :08:34.number of domestic incidents involving all these parents in the

:08:34. > :08:37.past, although they would not elaborate. -- Oliver's parents. It

:08:37. > :08:40.has also been reported that the family were known to social

:08:40. > :08:44.services, although Lancashire County Council today refused to

:08:44. > :08:48.confirm or deny those reports. However, they did say that a sub-

:08:48. > :08:51.committee of the county's safeguarding children board would

:08:51. > :08:55.be reconvened in early October to decide whether to carry out a

:08:55. > :09:01.serious case review. The aim is to try to discover whether any lessons

:09:01. > :09:04.can be learnt from the tiles death. For now, the immediate issue facing

:09:05. > :09:14.Oliver's mother and other relatives is dealing with the grief and shock

:09:15. > :09:15.

:09:15. > :09:19.of what has happened. Police are questioning a teenager

:09:19. > :09:22.after a 17 year old boy was stabbed to death in Birkenhead. It happened

:09:22. > :09:25.at a flat in Corporation Road in the early hours of this morning.

:09:25. > :09:28.Police have named the victim as Darren Brewster from Wallasey.

:09:28. > :09:31.Another 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

:09:31. > :09:34.A man whose wife died during pregnancy is taking legal action

:09:34. > :09:36.against Furness General Hospital in Barrow. The husband of Niran Aukhaj

:09:36. > :09:39.claims the hospital failed to properly monitor his wife,

:09:39. > :09:43.particularly her high blood pressure. Mrs Aukhaj and her unborn

:09:43. > :09:46.child died suddenly at home seven months into her pregnancy. The

:09:46. > :09:55.hospital says it cannot comment on the case because of the ongoing

:09:55. > :09:58.police inquiry into deaths in its maternity unit.

:09:58. > :10:01.A mother from Manchester is demanding an apology from the

:10:01. > :10:05.police after they used an electric stun gun to restrain her 16-year-

:10:05. > :10:10.old son. The woman called officers to her home in Wythenshawe after

:10:10. > :10:13.her son locked her out during a row. It's the latest in a series of

:10:13. > :10:17.controversies over the use of tasers. The Independent Police

:10:17. > :10:19.Complaints Commission is investigating the incident.

:10:19. > :10:22.Hundreds of business leaders gathered at Chester Racecourse

:10:22. > :10:28.today for an event aiming to attract jobs and investment to

:10:28. > :10:30.Cheshire. The Duke of Kent officially opened the exhibition.

:10:30. > :10:38.It highlighted the county's attractive locations, highly-

:10:38. > :10:42.skilled workforce and good transport links. Lots of locations

:10:42. > :10:52.around the country are being very vocal but Cheshire has been quiet.

:10:52. > :11:13.

:11:13. > :11:20.We are starting to tell that story He is paid to shoot to from the lip.

:11:20. > :11:24.You are like a true Vegas scrum but. While the BBC's Strictly Come

:11:24. > :11:30.Dancing programme says something about Blackpool. Bruno says

:11:30. > :11:34.something else. In an interview with a lad's mag, he says we are in

:11:34. > :11:43.a Blackpool this year which is interesting. Had he interest -- had

:11:43. > :11:47.he seen the resort's attractions? No, he'd only seen a lot of drug

:11:47. > :11:53.people fallen about the streets. is rubbish. We are not like that

:11:53. > :11:58.even though we come to Blackpool every year. It is a sorry sight. He

:11:58. > :12:02.has definitely got a point. About 250 million has been spent in

:12:02. > :12:07.recent years improving and upgrading. Merlin entertainment

:12:07. > :12:12.says they have invested heavily in new attractions. To be honest, I

:12:12. > :12:15.think it is unfair. I don't think Bruno has been in Blackpool for 12

:12:15. > :12:19.months so my message to him would be to come back and see what has

:12:19. > :12:24.happened during that period. comment from Bruno today, he is in

:12:24. > :12:34.LA, but when strictly his life final welcomes him to the resort,

:12:34. > :12:35.

:12:35. > :12:40.it will be warned. This is a great place for families, friends, stag

:12:40. > :12:46.nights and head and eyes. Come to Blackpool and have some fun. You

:12:46. > :12:50.worry misery! Have some Blackpool rock. They will be keen to show him

:12:50. > :12:53.the new attraction, including this dungeon. How long they will leave

:12:53. > :12:58.him -- leave him in there, that is to be decided!

:12:58. > :13:02.I think he will get a very warm welcome when he gets there.

:13:02. > :13:06.Something happened in Salford today. Something that used to be so

:13:06. > :13:10.commonplace that we wouldn't have bothered telling you about it.

:13:10. > :13:13.It was a ceremony to mark the building of 101 new council houses.

:13:13. > :13:21.They're the first new council houses in Salford for a quarter of

:13:21. > :13:24.a century. And, as Stuart Flinders reports, even though there's a

:13:24. > :13:27.housing shortage, it may be another 25 years before the next ones are

:13:27. > :13:32.built. I declare this development open.

:13:32. > :13:35.was treated as quite an occasion, a grand unveiling by the mayor, music

:13:35. > :13:40.and new tenants who cannot believe their luck. We never had a home,

:13:40. > :13:47.I've not anyway. We have always moved every year. We have had to.

:13:47. > :13:52.This is our first home and he can stay here now for ages. Thanks to a

:13:52. > :13:56.one-off government grant, Salford has built 101 new homes throughout

:13:56. > :14:00.the city. These are the first new houses to be built by Salford

:14:00. > :14:06.council and 25 years. There is a waiting list in this city of more

:14:06. > :14:09.than 10,000. Is this any more than a drop in the ocean? It is 50 years

:14:09. > :14:13.since the big push to end the housing shortage. By the 1980s,

:14:13. > :14:18.Salford had more than 40,000 council homes but there are now

:14:18. > :14:22.near a 10,000. The world has changed enormously from 25 years

:14:22. > :14:27.ago and even though this is the first new council housing bowled by

:14:27. > :14:31.Salford City Council, there has been a social housing, housing

:14:31. > :14:35.built by housing associations, during that time. Margaret

:14:35. > :14:39.Thatcher's right-to-buy was popular but it forced councils to sell

:14:40. > :14:43.their properties. Salford fears hit they may lose these as well.

:14:43. > :14:47.opportunity to buy is still there but we are looking to keep as much

:14:47. > :14:51.housing as possible for social housing, for all residents and all

:14:51. > :14:55.people who want to come into the city as well. As for when Salford

:14:55. > :15:00.may again be able to build homes, the council says the ball is in the

:15:00. > :15:04.Government's court. The Liberal Democrats kick off the

:15:05. > :15:08.conference season next week in Birmingham. Their supporters will

:15:08. > :15:13.be asking just how much impact they've had on Government policy.

:15:13. > :15:16.Well, one Lib Dem policy that did get through is the pupil premium.

:15:16. > :15:19.This is the scheme that gives schools extra cash to help poorer

:15:19. > :15:22.pupils. Schools in Lancashire have received one of the highest amounts

:15:22. > :15:32.of funding in the country. Elaine Dunkley has been to Burnley to find

:15:32. > :15:35.out if the scheme is working. This is St Leonard's Church of

:15:35. > :15:39.England Primary School, outstanding in its Ofsted report, despite

:15:39. > :15:44.having a high number of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. This is

:15:44. > :15:47.just the sort of school the Liberal Democrats had a mind. The party is

:15:47. > :15:52.hailing her its premium as a success but the head teacher says

:15:52. > :15:59.they must try harder. I've not really seen a difference. It has

:15:59. > :16:04.not been noticeable. We have had cuts in our budget. 430 per pupil

:16:04. > :16:07.for free school meals has not had that the impact that we have

:16:08. > :16:11.noticeably seen. We cannot say it has made a difference to attainment.

:16:11. > :16:18.The North West has the highest number of pupils eligible for the

:16:18. > :16:22.premium outside of London. Across the region, 192,000 pupils refuse

:16:22. > :16:26.funding of 82 million. -- receive. There is more money on the way.

:16:26. > :16:30.big benefit is that the money is being given to the school, not the

:16:30. > :16:38.council. The school can spend it on what they think the and people in

:16:38. > :16:47.their school needs. -- need for a stop in these times of austerity,

:16:47. > :16:50.many teachers are having to think outside the blocks. -- box.

:16:50. > :17:00.majority of head teachers did not come into this to be business

:17:00. > :17:04.people, we came in as teachers. It is scary being on your own so we

:17:04. > :17:07.have to work together. The Liberal Democrats say the pupil premium is

:17:07. > :17:12.adding value but there is concern amongst head teachers that the

:17:12. > :17:15.figures don't have. More on that on this Sunday's

:17:15. > :17:18.Politics Show at the Liberal Democrat party conference. Our

:17:18. > :17:21.political editor Arif Ansari has been talking to North West Lib Dems

:17:21. > :17:27.about the challenges they're facing. And he will be putting those

:17:27. > :17:30.concerns to the Party President and Cumbrian MP Tim Farron. That's the

:17:30. > :17:38.return of the Politics Show, this Sunday afternoon at 1.35pm on BBC

:17:38. > :17:40.One. Sport now and with more on that

:17:40. > :17:46.county championship win and storm clouds over Ewood Park, let's

:17:46. > :17:56.rejoin Tony at Old Trafford. Tony, has to be said, that famous old

:17:56. > :17:56.

:17:57. > :18:00.ground hasn't had a lot to do with the victory, has it?

:18:00. > :18:07.That is the incredible fact about this place. Because of the

:18:07. > :18:10.redevelopment, they have not played a single game here all season.

:18:10. > :18:16.They've played at Southport and Blackpool, the rest have been at

:18:16. > :18:20.Liverpool. Earlier, when I spoke to the coach, and I asked him what

:18:20. > :18:23.part Liverpool have played in Lancashire's success. Winning the

:18:23. > :18:28.championship has come from various places. We've had the weather.

:18:28. > :18:36.Liverpool has helped their. The also won five games on the road. --

:18:36. > :18:39.in a row. We have played good critic -- cricket. Liverpool have

:18:39. > :18:42.looked after us But Old Trafford as the home where we like to be as

:18:42. > :18:49.well. Things will move on and hopefully we can keep playing good

:18:49. > :18:54.cricket. It really is a North West, home-grown team. They are not

:18:54. > :19:03.household names though, are they? No, they are not. By next to the

:19:03. > :19:06.famous pavilion. Imagine the famous names to have stood there. None of

:19:06. > :19:10.those have won the County Championship, and yet these guys

:19:10. > :19:14.half. What they are is a real band of brothers. They are young players,

:19:14. > :19:18.who have grown up together, and they are a real success. I asked

:19:18. > :19:25.Peter Moores what that means for the future of the club. There are

:19:25. > :19:35.key senior players and their like the captain. -- been there. The

:19:35. > :19:40.exciting part is looking at other names, Kerrigan, Smith, and so on.

:19:40. > :19:43.It is not just a victory for Lancashire, it is a victory for

:19:43. > :19:47.English cricket some have said. English cricket is going very well

:19:47. > :19:50.at the moment, we have seen at international level. It is a great

:19:50. > :19:57.advert for local talent. The people have come to watch people who play

:19:57. > :20:05.for Fleetwood and so on. They love it. The last have responded. -- the

:20:05. > :20:08.lads. The spotlight now moves from this Old Trafford to the one a

:20:08. > :20:11.couple of hundred yards up the road at the weekend when Manchester

:20:11. > :20:14.United host Chelsea in the Premier League's Match of the Season so far.

:20:14. > :20:19.The Londoners have been overlooked because of 100% starts by United

:20:19. > :20:24.and Manchester City but Fergie says don't write them off.

:20:25. > :20:34.Manchester teams enjoyed a publicity of predictions we will be

:20:35. > :20:35.

:20:35. > :20:39.involved in at the whim of the week. -- the winner. Manchester will be

:20:39. > :20:42.enjoying it at the moment. They will be there at the end of the

:20:42. > :20:45.season, there is no doubt about that. The Blackburn Rovers manager

:20:45. > :20:48.Steve Kean says he has the full backing of the club's owners ahead

:20:48. > :20:53.of a protest by some supporters calling for him to be sacked.

:20:53. > :20:57.Rovers are bottom of the Premier League with just one point. They

:20:57. > :21:00.have won seven of 28 games since Kean took charge. But as Richard

:21:00. > :21:06.Askam reports ahead of tomorrow's match at home to Arsenal, the

:21:06. > :21:14.manager is confident the tide will turn.

:21:14. > :21:23.Lady Luck certainly has not smiled on Rovers. It is all over, it is

:21:23. > :21:26.one to one. Injury time... After a poor start to the season, some fans

:21:26. > :21:36.claim for managers luck has run out and just four games in, they wanted

:21:36. > :21:36.

:21:36. > :21:39.change. To want to be a -- to want to be having a protest, there is

:21:39. > :21:43.something wrong. The results have not been good enough. There is an

:21:43. > :21:47.issue which divides supporters, and many don't agree with tomorrow's

:21:47. > :21:54.demonstration. I don't think it is necessary. We should support the

:21:54. > :22:00.team. They should have a protest. It is justified. Do you agree with

:22:00. > :22:03.the protest? No, not really. About 10 million spent in the transfer

:22:03. > :22:06.window is evidence of the backing that they have from the club's

:22:06. > :22:10.owners. The manager says he does understand the sense of frustration.

:22:10. > :22:14.There is nobody more frustrated than myself, the players, because

:22:14. > :22:20.we feel we have done well enough in a couple of games to get all three

:22:20. > :22:23.points, never mind none. We share their frustrations and all we need

:22:23. > :22:26.now is for everybody to stick together. The club's owners have

:22:26. > :22:33.released a statement in which they say we understand there is a sense

:22:33. > :22:37.of disappointment and anger among staff fans. They also go on to say

:22:37. > :22:41.that in their view, the support of fans is even more important at this

:22:41. > :22:46.time and they conclude by saying we are fully committed to making sure

:22:46. > :22:50.that the team's performance improves. And the coach knows that

:22:50. > :22:57.only positive results will silence his critics. Three points tomorrow

:22:57. > :22:59.will certainly help to make his point. It's a big weekend in Super

:23:00. > :23:07.League with all three of the north west's play-off contenders in

:23:07. > :23:09.action. It's Wigan against St Helens on Sunday while Warrington

:23:09. > :23:13.hosting Huddersfield tonight knowing victory will put Tony

:23:13. > :23:19.Smith's side one game away from October's Grand Final.

:23:19. > :23:23.We have had a great year so far. Do come top of the table at the end is

:23:23. > :23:33.something we are very proud of. There are only three games to go

:23:33. > :23:34.

:23:34. > :23:36.now. I am sure we will be doing everything we can to Secure them.

:23:37. > :23:42.And there's full match commentary from the Halliwell Jones Stadium on

:23:42. > :23:45.BBC Radio Manchester tonight. Thanks to Lancashire's success

:23:45. > :23:50.yesterday, this region now holds the country's best football,

:23:50. > :23:53.cricket and rugby league team. You can add to that the FA Cup told --

:23:53. > :24:03.FA Cup holders and the Challenge Cup holders. Have a good weekend.

:24:03. > :24:08.

:24:08. > :24:13.And the best sports presenter! There was very heavy rain this

:24:13. > :24:20.afternoon, it's just thundered down. I am not sure whether we are in for

:24:20. > :24:23.more of this this weekend. Good evening. It has been a very

:24:23. > :24:27.lively at times through the day-to- day. It continues to be very, very

:24:27. > :24:32.unsettled as we go through the weekend. Look at this. Saturday,

:24:32. > :24:36.hefty showers. Sunday, still showery. The showers has to be the

:24:36. > :24:39.theme through the weekend. For a huge portion of today, many parts

:24:39. > :24:43.of the region avoided the rain that we were talking about yesterday.

:24:43. > :24:49.Over the last couple of hours, that line has worked its way through

:24:49. > :24:54.from the Irish Sea and there are four under storms within that. --

:24:54. > :24:58.thunderstorms. When you look at that, you can see the cloud and

:24:58. > :25:02.what you think is the package to those showers. Not a chance. They

:25:02. > :25:06.will kick off again as we had to deny it. They will come in from the

:25:06. > :25:10.Irish Sea. Some of them will be fairly lively. If any where will

:25:10. > :25:13.miss them, it will be parts of Cheshire and parts of Greater

:25:13. > :25:19.Manchester. That is true for tomorrow as well. They will catch

:25:19. > :25:25.up with all of us as the night goes on. Look how our computer brings

:25:26. > :25:30.the men. From time to come, they will merge together. The weather is

:25:30. > :25:34.saving grace is the breeze which is not terribly strong. Your

:25:34. > :25:38.temperatures well held at 9-11 degrees. In parts of Cumbria, 13

:25:38. > :25:42.degrees towards the early hours of the morning. For tomorrow, a case

:25:42. > :25:46.of showers, showers and more showers. Away from them, in

:25:46. > :25:49.southern parts, every now and again there will be a Denzel sunshine. If

:25:49. > :25:54.you look at the Scala, it just keeps on coming, those blue showers

:25:54. > :25:58.coming in from the Irish Sea. There is a fairly fresh westerly wind

:25:58. > :26:00.which will be a feature to the afternoon. Within them once again

:26:00. > :26:04.through the afternoon, they will merge together for longer spells of

:26:04. > :26:08.rain. Fairly hefty from time to time and that Thunder will continue

:26:08. > :26:13.to rumble on. In terms of temperatures, not very good at all

:26:13. > :26:19.over the weekend. Today, 17. Tomorrow, 15 or 16 degrees. On

:26:20. > :26:29.Saturday, more rain coming through and on Sunday, those showers keep

:26:33. > :26:42.on going. The start of next week is Mind you radio show is on Radio
