:00:07. > :00:11.Good evening. Welcome to North West tonight.

:00:11. > :00:15.Accused of grooming under-age girls for sex. The trial begins of a gang

:00:15. > :00:19.of men from Rochdale. Eleven men deny the charges. All

:00:19. > :00:24.the victims were from broken homes or in care.

:00:24. > :00:27.Jailed for having a fake driving licence. This asylum seeker

:00:28. > :00:32.considers legal action after proving it was real.

:00:32. > :00:38.Save our nurseries, parents protest as the Isle of Man Government

:00:38. > :00:48.threatens to axe childcare. More than a happy end, the author

:00:48. > :00:49.

:00:49. > :00:58.who cheated death to finish her debut novel.

:00:58. > :01:08.We talk to the star of South Pa civic -- Pacific and why Liverpool

:01:08. > :01:20.

:01:20. > :01:23."No child should be exploited as these girls say they were". The

:01:23. > :01:25.words of a prosecutor as the trial began in Liverpool of 11 men

:01:25. > :01:28.charged with sexually exploiting and trafficking schoolgirls. The

:01:28. > :01:31.group are said to have plied the youngsters with drink and drugs

:01:31. > :01:35.before abusing them and passing them on to their friends. It's said

:01:35. > :01:37.to have happened mainly in Rochdale and Oldham over a number of years.

:01:37. > :01:40.The men all deny the charges against them. Our chief reporter,

:01:40. > :01:44.Dave Guest, joins us from Liverpool Crown Court. When the prosecutor

:01:44. > :01:49.made her opening remarks to the jury in court here, she said it was

:01:49. > :01:54.a case of very young, vulnerable children being exploited by a group

:01:54. > :01:58.of adult men. She said that sometimes these girls were given

:01:58. > :02:02.alcohol, food and money in return for sex. Sometimes they were

:02:02. > :02:06.subjected to violence to make them comply. In the dock are a total of

:02:06. > :02:12.eleven men. We have got some pictures of them arriving at court

:02:12. > :02:16.today. All of the defendants are of Asian heritage, their ages range

:02:16. > :02:21.between 22 and 59 and the men are connected with one another in a

:02:21. > :02:25.variety of ways. They face a total of 22 counts including sexual

:02:25. > :02:28.assault, rape and trafficking. They are said to have passed girls

:02:28. > :02:34.between themselves and passed them on to their friends and associates.

:02:34. > :02:39.They deny the charges against them. How is it said that they met the

:02:39. > :02:43.girls in the first place? Well, of course, we can't name the

:02:43. > :02:47.alleged victims in the case because they are under-age. But five girls

:02:47. > :02:51.were named in the charges. Their ages at the time range between 13

:02:51. > :02:56.and 15. For instance, of the girls was said to have fallen in with

:02:56. > :03:00.these men when she fell out with her parents and another girl was in

:03:00. > :03:04.care of the local authority. The prosecutor said these were classic

:03:04. > :03:08.cases that were easy to target and exploit. One of the girls, a 13-

:03:09. > :03:15.year-old, is said to have had an abortion before being made pregnant

:03:15. > :03:18.by one of the defendants. They met the men through a couple of take

:03:19. > :03:22.takeaway shops in Rochdale. It was said in court, these were the

:03:22. > :03:26.places where the girls were softened up with offers of free

:03:26. > :03:29.food and drink before things turned more sinister.

:03:29. > :03:33.A large number of defendants on trial here. A sizable group of

:03:33. > :03:36.victims too. One assumes the case will go on for sometime?

:03:36. > :03:41.That's right, yes. If you think about it, there are eleven people

:03:41. > :03:43.in the dock. They have got defence barristers hol want to cross -- who

:03:43. > :03:48.will want to cross-examine the witnesses who are being called in

:03:49. > :03:55.this case. Tomorrow, we are due to hear from one of the alleged

:03:55. > :04:00.victims who has made many hours of video recordings to give her

:04:00. > :04:04.testimony. The case is expected to last many weeks.

:04:04. > :04:07.A boy is one of two teenagers in custody after a man was seriously

:04:08. > :04:12.assaulted and left in a critical condition. This is after an

:04:12. > :04:17.argument with a group of mouths in mercy -- -- youths in Merseyside.

:04:17. > :04:21.Residents have spoken about their horror of the attack which took

:04:21. > :04:24.place last night and they say more needs to be done to make the

:04:24. > :04:29.streets safer. This street in Rockferry would have

:04:29. > :04:33.been well lit lit just after 8pm last night as the victim named

:04:33. > :04:39.locally as George Craddock, bought food before running into a group of

:04:39. > :04:42.youths. It is thought that George Craddock approached the group. The

:04:42. > :04:46.conversation is thought to have escalated into an argument. It is

:04:46. > :04:52.at that point that another adult has become involved and thrown just

:04:52. > :04:56.one punch that sent George Craddock to the ground. He was taken to

:04:56. > :05:02.Arrowe Park Hospital before being transferred to the Walton Centre

:05:02. > :05:06.for specialist surgery. George cad dock is well-known -- Craddock is

:05:06. > :05:10.well-known in the area. Neighbours are confused as to why and how he

:05:10. > :05:17.found himself in trouble. Harmless. He wouldn't go out to

:05:17. > :05:20.pick a fight with anybody. If he got caught names, he would try and

:05:20. > :05:23.avoid confrontation. Some neighbours say, they aren't

:05:23. > :05:28.surprised this happened on the streets of Rockferry, where they

:05:28. > :05:30.don't feel safe. You can't be safe around here. It

:05:30. > :05:34.is horrible. REPORTER: Why is it? I don't know.

:05:34. > :05:38.All you see is gangs of kids and all these people getting injured.

:05:38. > :05:43.They get drunk and they start on anyone for anything. They are just

:05:43. > :05:49.looking for trouble every night. A 13-year-old and an 18-year-old

:05:49. > :05:54.man remain in custody. Police say on a street as busy as this, there

:05:54. > :05:57.must be more witnesses to come forward.

:05:57. > :05:59.An asylum seeker who spent four months in Strangeways Prison,

:05:59. > :06:03.wrongly accused of having a fake driving licence says he is

:06:03. > :06:05.considering legal action. Syed Mansoor, who lives in the Rusholme

:06:05. > :06:08.area of Manchester, but is originally from Pakistan, was

:06:08. > :06:12.arrested by traffic police who thought his document must be fake

:06:12. > :06:22.because his photo was in colour. He has described the experience as

:06:22. > :06:22.

:06:22. > :06:26."hell" and says his health has suffered as a result. Ian Haslam

:06:26. > :06:29.reports. Syed Mansoor has been in Manchester for four months, four of

:06:29. > :06:34.those spent in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

:06:34. > :06:40.It is horrible. I can't sleep, OK, because it was my first time in the

:06:40. > :06:46.jail when I have been in the jail, OK. About four daysI was very, very

:06:47. > :06:52.upsetpm. It started on 4th October last year. A car he was a passenger

:06:52. > :06:55.in was double parked, when traffic officers approached and asked for

:06:55. > :07:03.ID, he produced his provisional licence.

:07:03. > :07:09.I showed them my ID. I showed my national insurance number. If my

:07:09. > :07:12.licence is fake, why do I show my provisional licence? Police

:07:12. > :07:15.contacted the DVLA who are responsible for maintaining a

:07:15. > :07:19.database. The Crown Prosecution Service says a decision was made to

:07:19. > :07:22.charge the defendant with possession of a false identity

:07:22. > :07:26.document with improper intent on the evidence available at the time.

:07:27. > :07:32.The case was kept under review by the CPS and on month, 30th January

:07:32. > :07:37.2012, we received confirmation from the DVLA that the driving licence

:07:37. > :07:42.was in fact genuine. The police could have checked out his version

:07:42. > :07:48.of events, his story and if they did, they would have found out

:07:48. > :07:52.quickly that the provisional driving licence was legitimate.

:07:52. > :07:54.The DVLA told us the correct information was provided to Greater

:07:54. > :08:00.Manchester Police as soon as it was requested. Greater Manchester

:08:00. > :08:06.Police say they are reviewing the circumstances around Syed's arrest

:08:06. > :08:12.and charge. A public inquiry is being called

:08:12. > :08:16.for after damning report on adult social services at Wirral Council.

:08:16. > :08:19.The authority's new leader says it is the only way to restore trust in

:08:19. > :08:21.the council. Councillors met last night to discuss how they can move

:08:21. > :08:24.forward after a review into allegations of abuse in social care.

:08:24. > :08:29.It was brought to light by the whistleblower Martin Morton who

:08:29. > :08:33.lost his job as a result. I know the Prime Minister has shown

:08:33. > :08:37.an interest. I know that ministers in London are showing an interest

:08:37. > :08:41.in terms of the Local Government ministers, and also social services

:08:42. > :08:44.ministers. We will be speaking to them to see if we can get a public

:08:44. > :08:48.inquiry. Salford City Council have announced

:08:48. > :08:51.that 360 jobs will be lost in the next year with the council needing

:08:51. > :08:54.to save 24 million. It's in addition to the 40 million of

:08:54. > :09:01.savings that were made last year and will lead to an inevitable

:09:01. > :09:05.reduction in services across the city.

:09:05. > :09:15.A man has died after being injured when a heavy goods tyre exploded at

:09:15. > :09:17.

:09:18. > :09:21.a Lancashire industrial unit. The incident happened in Preston.

:09:21. > :09:23.A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter and robbery

:09:23. > :09:26.of an Oldham grandmother. Nellie Geraghty died in November. She was

:09:26. > :09:29.injured when her handbag, containing the ashes of her late

:09:29. > :09:32.husband Frank, was stolen as she walked to a luncheon club. 37-year-

:09:32. > :09:35.old Mark Royle, of no fixed address, was today remanded in custody and

:09:35. > :09:38.will appear at Crown Court in Manchester next month.

:09:38. > :09:42.The Tasmanian Government has agreed to pay for the repatriation of a

:09:42. > :09:45.Lancashire girl currently in a coma on the island. Holly Raper fell off

:09:45. > :09:49.a quad bike in December, but her holiday insurance won't pay any

:09:49. > :09:51.expenses because she didn't have cover for extreme sports. Holly is

:09:52. > :09:58.entitled to a worker's compensation scheme because she was employed at

:09:58. > :10:01.the time of the accident. A High Court judge has ruled that

:10:01. > :10:05.Ryan Giggs can now be named as the man behind an injunction which

:10:05. > :10:08.prevented the details of an extra- marital affair being published. He

:10:08. > :10:12.took out the legal order last year to block reporting of an alleged

:10:12. > :10:18.affair with Imogen Thomas. Thousands of people broke the order

:10:18. > :10:21.by naming him on Twitter. It has been announced this morning

:10:21. > :10:24.that Sir Elton John will be the first artist to perform on

:10:24. > :10:28.Blackpool's newly restored Tower Headland. The concert will take

:10:28. > :10:37.place in mid June. The last time Sir Elton played in Blackpool was

:10:37. > :10:40.30 years ago. Tickets go on sale later this month.

:10:40. > :10:43.Any parent will tell you that a lack of childcare where you live

:10:43. > :10:46.can mean the difference between working and having to stay at home

:10:46. > :10:51.so when mums and dads on the Isle of Man were told 11 Government

:10:51. > :10:54.funded pre-schools were closing down, it prompted big protests.

:10:54. > :10:57.They were out in force today clearly angry that their service is

:10:57. > :11:01.being cut as part of the Manx Government's drive to make 35

:11:01. > :11:10.million of savings this year. Ministers say they have to go in

:11:10. > :11:13.order to save other services. Kelly Foran has more. Keeping children

:11:13. > :11:17.entertained over half term, but many parents had a day out with a

:11:17. > :11:23.difference today, protesting outside Government offices against

:11:23. > :11:27.the harsh cuts to free pre-school. The education of our children is

:11:27. > :11:30.right. It is not the Third World. It is the Isle of Man.

:11:30. > :11:34.These are the children that are going to be sorting out the mess we

:11:34. > :11:37.have got the economy into. It is not fair on them to be denied the

:11:37. > :11:41.chance to develop normally. As well as the hundreds of children

:11:41. > :11:46.affected, jobs will be lost. reaction of the staff was just to

:11:46. > :11:50.break down in tears. Not for themselves either, but for the

:11:50. > :11:52.people who depend on their service. To say the time has come to cut

:11:53. > :11:58.services and we're going to start with nurseries and libraries is

:11:58. > :12:02.something people are not going to wear. This is just one of many

:12:02. > :12:07.difficult decisions the mansion mansion had to make.

:12:07. > :12:12.D Manx Government had to make. If we don't take hard decisions now,

:12:12. > :12:16.we will have to take even worse decisions later on if we don't

:12:16. > :12:20.start addressing how many people work for Government, how we provide

:12:20. > :12:23.services. Time is ticking before September,

:12:23. > :12:27.when these mums want their toddlers to start in education.

:12:27. > :12:32.We hope to come up with a scheme that will give them some access

:12:32. > :12:37.into private or voluntary provision. The department policy for many

:12:37. > :12:45.years has been, we will open additional places as and when

:12:45. > :12:50.additional places allow. In the Still to come on North West

:12:50. > :12:57.Tonight: It is pancake tossing as you have

:12:57. > :13:07.never seen it before! Join me to show you how it should be done.

:13:07. > :13:11.

:13:11. > :13:15.Hi, I am Samantha Womack and join We will have your tips that you

:13:15. > :13:18.have been telling us on Facebook. It seems unlikely that Carlos Tevez

:13:18. > :13:20.will feature in Manchester City's Europa League match against Porto

:13:20. > :13:29.tomorrow night with Roberto Mancini refusing to comment on the

:13:29. > :13:37.Argentine today. Midfielder Samir Nasri says apologies need to be

:13:37. > :13:40.made to help the club win trophies. If he has to apologise, he has to

:13:40. > :13:48.do it and then he will be in the squad. We need a player of his

:13:48. > :13:50.quality to win the league and to win the Europa League.

:13:50. > :13:52.UEFA have announced they have opened disciplinary proceedings

:13:52. > :13:58.against Porto for the "improper conduct" of its supporters during

:13:58. > :14:01.the Europa League match against Manchester City last week. City

:14:01. > :14:08.complained that Mario Balotelli and Yaya Toure had suffered racial

:14:08. > :14:10.abuse from the crowd. In Rugby Union, Sale Sharks have

:14:10. > :14:12.confirmed that their owner, Brian Kennedy, has made "tentative

:14:12. > :14:15.enquiries" about buying Glasgow Rangers. The Scotsman was

:14:15. > :14:18.previously linked with a takeover bid for Hibernian FC in 1998.

:14:18. > :14:25.Rangers went into administration last week facing debts of up to 75

:14:25. > :14:28.million. I have never written a book, but it

:14:28. > :14:30.takes drive, determination and talent to get a book published and

:14:30. > :14:35.particularly at just 29-years-old, but Alexandra Singer's story is

:14:35. > :14:37.nothing short of inspiring. Just months after she started writing

:14:37. > :14:43.her novel, she almost died from a nerve condition called cerebral

:14:43. > :14:47.lupus. Alexandra spent the next three months in a coma and the next

:14:48. > :14:51.two years in hospital. When she first woke up she had no memory of

:14:51. > :15:01.her book and to finish it, she had to teach herself to write all over

:15:01. > :15:03.

:15:03. > :15:08.again. Laura Yates has been to meet The light was diminishing. Most

:15:08. > :15:13.writers would describe their book as a labour of love, but for

:15:13. > :15:17.Alexandra that doesn't come close. A trainee solicitor, she loved to

:15:17. > :15:21.travel and it was a trip to Morocco that inspired her book. She had

:15:21. > :15:27.sketched out its story and just begun to write it when she suffered

:15:27. > :15:34.an attack of cerebral lupus and spent the next three months in a

:15:34. > :15:37.coma. I was in a lot of pain and I was on

:15:37. > :15:43.so much medication. I came around. It may have been two months after I

:15:43. > :15:50.came out of a coma when I asked my family if I had been writing a book

:15:50. > :15:55.and at the time I didn't know if I had dreamt it or imagined it.

:15:55. > :15:59.was Alexandra's brother who found her manuscript and her family

:15:59. > :16:04.persuaded her her to start writing again.

:16:04. > :16:07.At that time I was weak. I was still having medical procedures. I

:16:07. > :16:14.was bed bound and my arms still weren't working and it was about

:16:14. > :16:16.forcing my hands to write again. Every day in hospital, alongside

:16:16. > :16:19.intensive physiotherapy, Alexandra set herself another target, to

:16:19. > :16:24.write a certain number of words a day.

:16:24. > :16:28.Creating this world and getting my fingers working again actually,

:16:28. > :16:35.when I did, you know, despair because I was in hospital for two

:16:35. > :16:38.years and I had a reason to get up and write and when I got three-

:16:38. > :16:43.quarters of the way through, I thought, "There is no way I can

:16:43. > :16:48.leave this. I have got to finish it."

:16:48. > :16:58.In just a few weeks, the book will be on the the shelves. Alexandra is

:16:58. > :16:59.

:16:59. > :17:04.That's amazing. It could be one for a few book

:17:04. > :17:07.clubs. I hope she does really well with it.

:17:07. > :17:12.He made his name as an actor in My Beautiful Laundrette and as a

:17:12. > :17:16.writer with East is East, both successful films. Now Ayub Khan Din,

:17:16. > :17:19.from Salford, has transformed one of the hit films of the 60s. All in

:17:19. > :17:24.Good Time is his take on The Family Way. Both are set in Bolton, both

:17:24. > :17:26.tell the story of newlyweds forced to live with the groom's parents.

:17:26. > :17:36.Plenty of scope for drama there! So what's changed? Stuart Flinders

:17:36. > :17:41.reports. It is a story about a couple finding it hard to let's say

:17:41. > :17:50.consummate the marriage with the groom's family around.

:17:50. > :17:54.As long as they are happy. Ayub Khan-Din's stage version was a

:17:54. > :17:58.success worldwide. This is a promotion for the stage show.

:17:58. > :18:04.Now there is a film version. Both were filmed in Bolton.

:18:04. > :18:08.OK, Jeff, take it away. And don't keep me waiting.

:18:08. > :18:12.Two films made 50 years apart, what do they tell us about the way towns

:18:12. > :18:16.like this have changed and the way they have remained the the same?

:18:16. > :18:21.Many of the buildings survived, but a working class family is almost as

:18:21. > :18:25.likely these days to be Asian as height. They are superficial things.

:18:25. > :18:32.Underlying that, there is family systems that might be there. They

:18:32. > :18:38.might be more fragmented and complicated, getting on with your

:18:38. > :18:43.parents, your in-laws, those things don't change. They feature in the

:18:43. > :18:49.soaps we watch. Suppose Jenny comes down, it is not

:18:49. > :18:53.nice a young girl seeing the hairs on a man's chest at breakfast.

:18:53. > :18:56.The original story was by Bill Naughton, author of Alfie and it

:18:56. > :19:01.reflects a bond with the community he wrote about.

:19:01. > :19:10.It is a feeling of kind of deepest empathy and relationship and all

:19:10. > :19:15.the rest of it. I have only to see the word "Bolton "I don't want to

:19:15. > :19:25.say too much about it. All In Good Time opens in cinemas

:19:25. > :19:34.

:19:34. > :19:44.There are universal scenes in Family Life, I think.

:19:44. > :19:44.

:19:44. > :19:47.It is 20 years since me and my my wife lived with my parents.

:19:47. > :19:50.We're more used to seeing her crying her way through the gritty

:19:50. > :19:53.storylines of EastEnders, but tonight Samantha Womack will be in

:19:54. > :19:56.cheerier mode as the musical hit South Pacific opens in Liverpool.

:19:56. > :19:59.Yes, the actress has swapped the Eastend for the North West,

:19:59. > :20:03.reprising the role of Nellie Forbush that won her rave reviews

:20:03. > :20:06.when it opened in London last year. But as Kate Simms has been finding

:20:06. > :20:16.out, her debut in Liverpool is giving her more than the usual

:20:17. > :20:20.You have to admit it is a lot more inviting than Albert Square, but

:20:20. > :20:24.Samantha Womack has been enjoying the change of scenery.

:20:24. > :20:34.I have really, really enjoyed it. It is a tough world because you

:20:34. > :20:39.have got your eight shows a week. It is a lovely show to do.

:20:39. > :20:42.# # I am going to wash that man out of my hair hb. This production

:20:43. > :20:47.opened in London last year and it is on tour and opens in Liverpool

:20:47. > :20:53.tonight. Far from her Cambridgeshire home, Womack knows

:20:53. > :20:58.the city well. She met her husband here while

:20:58. > :21:04.filming the drama, Liverpool One. My husband is from here, my kids

:21:04. > :21:05.are from here. I have got loads of friends and in-laws and so yeah, it

:21:06. > :21:11.feels like a home away from home really.

:21:11. > :21:13.That link and two weeks off with a chest infection left her feeling

:21:13. > :21:18.the pressure tonight. This is my first time back. Not

:21:18. > :21:23.only is it going to be in a place where I want to be great, but my

:21:23. > :21:27.middle voice is husky at the moment so I have no idea what is going to

:21:27. > :21:36.come out. If I sound terrible, please forgive me!

:21:36. > :21:41.Don't cry. What about Albert Square. Womack

:21:41. > :21:45.played Ronnie Mitchell for seven years. Has she washed her out of

:21:45. > :21:49.her hair? I have lots of fond memories and of the character. I

:21:49. > :21:53.played a character for four years. I have never done that in my life

:21:53. > :22:03.before. You heard her, never say never.

:22:06. > :22:15.South Pacific is at the Liverpool Now today is Shrove Tuesday or

:22:15. > :22:18.Pancake Day. Many of you will be rushing home to mix up your batter

:22:18. > :22:23.and then scrape your pancakes off the ceiling if, like me, you get a

:22:23. > :22:26.little too enthusiastic! Today, Rochdale's celebrity chef Andrew

:22:26. > :22:32.Nutter came to the BBC canteen to share a few tips on flipping the

:22:33. > :22:37.perfect pancake. Although there were a few casualties along the

:22:37. > :22:41.way! It was all in aid of Sport Relief as Abbie Jones explains.

:22:42. > :22:47.Lunch time in the BBC canteen. The batter is sizzling and the

:22:47. > :22:52.customers are hungry. Pancake is one of my favourite food.

:22:52. > :22:58.I'm classy. I am a traditionalist, lemon and sugar, but today I might

:22:58. > :23:08.go for maple syrup. That will be Andrew Nutter. Time

:23:08. > :23:18.

:23:18. > :23:23.You need a non stick pan. A nice hot pan. A small amount of oil and

:23:23. > :23:25.get a nice even colouring on one side and then quick flipping after

:23:25. > :23:31.that. BBC staff seem to be traditional

:23:31. > :23:37.when it comes to their pancake fillings, but Andrew has given his

:23:37. > :23:43.a gourmet twist. We have chocolate fudge brownie and

:23:43. > :23:51.lemon meringue cheesecake. Look at the calories. It is only

:23:51. > :23:57.once a year. Go crazy. Andrew is hoping to get people

:23:57. > :24:01.ready for Relief. A whole mile flipping pancakes.

:24:01. > :24:11.is clear Andrew needs to get practise in!

:24:11. > :24:13.

:24:13. > :24:17.She is a hard task master. She was bossing him around earlier. The

:24:17. > :24:24.pancakes were lovely. I had one. I noticed you had two!

:24:24. > :24:33.But it was all in aid of charity! If you need to run the Sport Relief

:24:33. > :24:38.Mile, you can find out how to do it I hope it is not raining pancakes

:24:38. > :24:40.in your household tonight. There is rain on the way. Some serious rain

:24:40. > :24:46.actually. The weather is not playing along.

:24:46. > :24:50.It is going to be wet. There is remarkable temperatures today. The

:24:50. > :24:54.cloud cover broke more than we anticipate and there was less rain

:24:54. > :24:57.rain than we anticipated. Temp Temperatures got up to 11 Celsius.

:24:57. > :25:01.If you saw 20 minutes of sunshine, it makes a massive difference.

:25:01. > :25:05.However, this is our picture right now, but had is nothing compared to

:25:05. > :25:11.what is coming towards us. The Met Office have a yellow warning of

:25:11. > :25:16.rain. This rain is going to be very, very heavy for Cumbria and

:25:16. > :25:20.Lancashire. All the way through tomorrow as well. This is our

:25:20. > :25:24.picture. It is largely cloudy. A couple of breaks in the southern

:25:24. > :25:28.parts of the region. The story is for the clouds to continue to build

:25:29. > :25:33.and for the rain to push into Cumbria. Into the Isle of Man and

:25:33. > :25:36.Lancashire as well. Anywhere to the south is dry tonight. Because you

:25:36. > :25:41.have got the cloud cover and we have got the south-westerly breeze,

:25:41. > :25:45.it is mild, indeed. Temperatures 7 Celsius to 9 Celsius through the

:25:45. > :25:49.night tonight. You could expect that at the day times at this time

:25:49. > :25:53.of year. That is a mild night, but it is all about that line of rain

:25:53. > :25:57.as it rises over the high ground and on the Isle of Man and into

:25:57. > :26:01.parts of Lancashire as well. It will just keep on coming and there

:26:01. > :26:06.will be a lot of rain through the day tomorrow. The sun is up 14

:26:06. > :26:12.minutes past 7am tomorrow. You will You will not see sight of it

:26:12. > :26:16.because look at this rain. It will linger and for Cumbria, there could

:26:16. > :26:19.be up to 80 millimetres of rain falling. For Lancashire, there

:26:19. > :26:23.could be 60 millimetres and we could add to the totals. You can

:26:23. > :26:29.see it keeps on coming through the day. Wherever you are, it maybe

:26:29. > :26:34.around 5pm before it starts to clear in places like the Isle of

:26:34. > :26:37.Man, but that's a horrible, wet day. The wind will be strong as well,

:26:37. > :26:40.gusting to gale force from time to time. You have got that to contend

:26:40. > :26:44.with and because there is a south- westerly, Lancashire and Cumbria

:26:44. > :26:54.will see the worst of the win, but look at the temperatures, they are

:26:54. > :26:58.

:26:58. > :27:03.Now, you looked scornful when I said I put pancakes under the grill.

:27:03. > :27:13.I outed myself on Facebook. Lots of people got in touch to tell me how

:27:13. > :27:20.we should properly do it. Two viewers buy ready-made batter
