:02:05. > :02:08.would ever put this there? I do not think anyone should ever dared to
:02:08. > :02:13.suggest that they would put a nuclear dump here but this is a
:02:13. > :02:16.county that heavily relies on two very different types of industry.
:02:16. > :02:21.Places like this rely on the tourist trade but for many
:02:21. > :02:24.generations further north, people have relied heavily on of the
:02:24. > :02:29.nuclear industry when the government asked for communities to
:02:29. > :02:33.step forward to volunteer can so during a new nuclear establishment
:02:33. > :02:39.and their patch, Cumbria did so. But today, the county council said
:02:39. > :02:43.it was time to step back and to abandon any idea of the projects.

:04:27. > :04:31.burial. The problem of what to do with the nuclear waste has not gone
:04:31. > :04:34.away but it sees this particular solution will not now be coming to
:04:34. > :04:40.Cumbria. So is this the end of the matter as
:04:41. > :04:44.far as Cumbria is concerned? This morning before Cumbria County
:04:44. > :04:48.Council had its vote, the district council voted to move on to the
:04:48. > :04:51.next stage of the project. This afternoon, their local MP said he
:04:51. > :04:55.would go to Westminster to see if it was possible to carry out
:04:55. > :05:02.geological testing. The Liberal Democrat said that would not be
:05:02. > :05:05.fair because Cumbria County Council has made a democratic decision. A

:05:10. > :05:16.the ideal geology. That side happens to be in the constituency
:05:16. > :05:19.of the Prime Minister. Today's news has been welcomed by
