:00:00. > :00:14.Keep up-to-date online. That's all from the

:00:15. > :00:17.top story. A soldier is questioned about suspected right`wing extremism

:00:18. > :00:23.after a nail bomb is found is a Salford house. Another man who was

:00:24. > :00:30.held on suspicion of possession of extremist right wing material. Also

:00:31. > :00:36.tonight: find out how fracking can change the face of your community.

:00:37. > :00:42.I am in the states. Why one man thinks this could be the

:00:43. > :00:45.best way to beat the jams. The '60s icons which aren't enjoying

:00:46. > :00:49.a revival. These Blackpool tower blocks are about to be gone forever.

:00:50. > :00:58.And why getting a lift from a fan means Peter Pan won't be wired this

:00:59. > :00:59.Christmas. It is risky but it is not dangerous because I have soft

:01:00. > :01:15.cushions underneath. Also tonight, , familiar faces in

:01:16. > :01:21.new surroundings. Moyes and Martinez meet again ` and Richard's at Old

:01:22. > :01:25.Trafford. Yes, Manchester United David Moyes goes up against his

:01:26. > :01:29.former club Everton for the first time tonight. Roberto Martinez has

:01:30. > :01:36.really got the Blues firing, and we are looking forward to the game

:01:37. > :01:39.First night, a soldier from Salford has been questioned about suspected

:01:40. > :01:43.links to right`wing extremism after a nail bomb was found at a house in

:01:44. > :01:49.Eccles. In 19`year`old was arrested under the Terrorism Act and a Street

:01:50. > :01:55.was evacuated as officers dealt with the device. Our report is on Mellor

:01:56. > :02:00.Street in Patricroft for us now Tonight, as you can see, this looks

:02:01. > :02:04.like a typical Salford Street. People have started putting out

:02:05. > :02:08.their Christmas decorations on their front doors and there is no sign of

:02:09. > :02:12.what happened here last Thursday. But the evacuation of this street

:02:13. > :02:18.and discoveries by police have shocked people living here. This

:02:19. > :02:20.Street in Patricroft is now at the centre of an investigation that

:02:21. > :02:25.spans two countries. The least say it began when they

:02:26. > :02:28.received information alleged that indecent material could be found at

:02:29. > :02:32.a house here. While searching the address, they found a device

:02:33. > :02:36.believed to be a nail bomb. A 20`year`old man was arrested on

:02:37. > :02:44.suspicion of possessing abusive images. It has been reported that

:02:45. > :02:50.this included right`wing leaflets. I came home and we were not allowed

:02:51. > :02:56.in. I asked what was going on. I thought someone had been murdered.

:02:57. > :03:00.Army disposal experts were brought in and the whole street was

:03:01. > :03:05.evacuated. Residents were brought to the local school here, set up as an

:03:06. > :03:11.evacuation centre. I never would have thought it was anything to do

:03:12. > :05:41.with a nail bomb. Following events here, a second man, a Shale gas,

:05:42. > :05:42.with a nail bomb. Following events here, a second man, a Shale gas is

:05:43. > :05:46.here, a second man, a Shale gas, is it a bright new world for Carroll

:05:47. > :06:00.County? Night and day this is the latest epicentre for fracking.

:06:01. > :06:07.At the last count, 250 wells have been drilled into the shale rocks

:06:08. > :06:16.around here, with permits for many, many more. If anyone knows the

:06:17. > :06:19.effects of a shale gas boom, it is this community here. I worry about

:06:20. > :06:25.our small town growing into something a lot different. Who knows

:06:26. > :06:31.what this place will look like five or six years from now? It is like we

:06:32. > :06:38.hit the lottery. It is not the old town it used to be. I do not see a

:06:39. > :06:44.lot of people locally getting tired. I am worried. It is picturesque. In

:06:45. > :07:02.part it is almost Cumbria in character. Only from above do you

:07:03. > :07:07.get a clear pick And places where shale gas and oil are processed. All

:07:08. > :07:18.shale gas and oil are processed All the different dots are oil wells. ``

:07:19. > :07:24.gas wells. It will cut everybody in the United States' income tax by 1%.

:07:25. > :07:28.The county is at its prettiest in this lake area. The hotel here

:07:29. > :07:37.closed in 2010, a victim of the recession. Now it has reopened with

:07:38. > :07:45.funds gained by leasing land to fractures. `` to fracking. No

:07:46. > :07:51.fracking has yet taken place in this area. People say the view will not

:07:52. > :07:58.be very different in a few years down the line. The long`term picture

:07:59. > :08:03.is what worries this man. We moved here because it was a quiet and

:08:04. > :08:08.cultural, rural community. It is not becoming that. It is becoming an

:08:09. > :08:17.industrialised community. We are already seeing an increase in crime,

:08:18. > :08:21.in traffic accidents. Industrialise action `` industrialisation is the

:08:22. > :08:25.big fear. Previous traffic counts were 1500 cars a day. They are now

:08:26. > :08:36.saying it is closer to about 1000 saying it is closer to about 10 0

:08:37. > :08:40.and our Sundays. `` on some days. Tomorrow we will find out what it is

:08:41. > :08:44.like living next door to a drill rig. And tomorrow Peter will also be

:08:45. > :08:48.meeting the local sheriff to find out how his life has been changed by

:08:49. > :08:54.the fracking boom there. You can of course enter the debate

:08:55. > :08:57.which has been lively over the past couple of nights. You can contact us

:08:58. > :09:04.in any of the usual ways. Still to come: familiar faces in new

:09:05. > :09:08.surroundings. Martinez and David Moyes meet again

:09:09. > :09:14.in the Premier League. Why getting a lift from a fan means

:09:15. > :09:18.Peter Pan will be flying free this Christmas. It is risky but it is not

:09:19. > :09:25.dangerous because I have a soft cushion underneath.

:09:26. > :09:28.The roads are full of traffic, rail fares keep going up, so what is the

:09:29. > :09:33.best way to get around? For some people it could be by hovercraft.

:09:34. > :09:38.Probably only if you live by the coast... A lifeboat volunteer from

:09:39. > :09:42.Merseyside wants to start a new hovercraft service from new Brighton

:09:43. > :09:47.in Wirral will stop if you get the financial backing he plans to run

:09:48. > :09:54.services to North Wales, Blackpool and possibly even the airport.

:09:55. > :10:00.One hovercraft seats 130. Yours for about ?5 million. Or you could lease

:10:01. > :10:03.it. This one operates on the South coast but a vessel like this is what

:10:04. > :10:11.Simon Clitheroe wants to run from New Brighton. This is what we will

:10:12. > :10:15.use for landing... Simon is a volunteer from the RNLI. He got the

:10:16. > :10:19.idea when it took in just 20 minutes to travel from Wirral to Southport

:10:20. > :10:24.in a hovercraft. He is convinced there is a market. We are trying to

:10:25. > :10:33.bring in a transport link that could work for Disney's people,

:10:34. > :10:39.tourists... The plan is to originally carry out these routes.

:10:40. > :10:47.Then there might be one to Liverpool Airport.

:10:48. > :10:53.People have an hovercraft around here before. A flight between real

:10:54. > :10:58.and Wallasey in the 1960s lasted only a few months. One also ran

:10:59. > :11:03.between Southport and grapple in the 1980s. The dodger is one thing, I

:11:04. > :11:11.heart conversion to reality is another, `` nostalgia is one thing.

:11:12. > :11:19.So what makes silents are confident that his scheme will work? We want

:11:20. > :11:22.to help communities. Almost like a bus service or a link train service

:11:23. > :11:29.is what we are trying to do, bring it back onto the water. The idea

:11:30. > :11:33.already has the backing of a Welsh MP and Simon is talking to Liverpool

:11:34. > :11:40.Airport next week. If it goes ahead, the new service could be running by

:11:41. > :11:44.2015. Interesting idea. I have never been

:11:45. > :11:51.on a hovercraft. You imagine it would be a smooth ride. Lovely blue

:11:52. > :11:55.skies in that report. We will hear soon if they are going to stick

:11:56. > :11:58.around longer. Extra feeling in Blackpool about the imminent

:11:59. > :12:01.demolition of two tower blocks which have been at the heart of a

:12:02. > :12:05.community since the 1960s. Any people on the Queens Park estate

:12:06. > :12:13.of error, cannot wait to move out of the high rises. `` many people on

:12:14. > :12:19.the Queens Park estate cannot wait to move out.

:12:20. > :12:24.The block contains 51 two`bedroom flats... They were once the answer

:12:25. > :12:29.to our post`war social housing needs, that over the years they have

:12:30. > :12:33.disappeared from our towns and cities and now it is Blackpool's

:12:34. > :12:37.turn. Paul Wainwright has lived on the Queens Park estate for 17 years.

:12:38. > :12:44.He moved out of one of the blocks five years ago. When they were first

:12:45. > :12:49.conceived, these blocks, there were actually waiting lists for people to

:12:50. > :12:53.get into them. Five years ago there were waiting lists for people to get

:12:54. > :13:01.out. That is how bad they had become. In their place will be 98

:13:02. > :13:07.new homes. 70% of housing stock in Blackpool at the moment is

:13:08. > :13:13.one`bedroom flats. That is not what we need any more. If you are waiting

:13:14. > :13:18.for a big bank and the tower collapsing, you will have to wait

:13:19. > :13:27.for that one over there to go, too, in 2015. Ann and Clive, have lived

:13:28. > :13:32.in that block for many years. I would rather stay here, but you have

:13:33. > :13:38.got to move with the times. I would miss the view and memories. I am

:13:39. > :13:41.always having to go to hospital and things like this, so it would be

:13:42. > :13:47.better because we are down when the new estate is done for a ground

:13:48. > :13:52.floor two`bedroom. So is this the future for the post`war tower block?

:13:53. > :13:56.In Chester or in Manchester there have been really good examples where

:13:57. > :13:57.local need has highlighted a requirement for elderly

:13:58. > :14:03.accommodation when modifying structures, by improving access and

:14:04. > :14:07.improving the fabric of the buildings. Really successful schemes

:14:08. > :14:11.that meet the needs of elderly communities have been created. Here

:14:12. > :14:18.in Blackpool, high`rise living is being consigned to the past.

:14:19. > :14:23.A North West MP has spoken out about his battle with depression. John

:14:24. > :14:27.Woodcock, the Labour MP for Barrow in Furness, says he is clinically

:14:28. > :14:32.depressed and on medication. On his website, he says he hopes he's still

:14:33. > :14:35.doing a decent job but admits he hates himself for some time

:14:36. > :14:44.struggling to cope with his young family. Earlier I ask him why he had

:14:45. > :14:46.made his condition public. One in four people will suffer from mental

:14:47. > :14:54.health problems at some point in their lives. I was only able to go

:14:55. > :14:58.to a GP and get help because of what other people, friends in the public

:14:59. > :15:02.eye, have done over recent months and he's in talking openly about

:15:03. > :15:08.suffering from depression. That made such a difference in prompting me to

:15:09. > :15:13.go and get help and get sorted that I thought, really, I thought to do

:15:14. > :15:18.the same and just be open about this. I know you have spoken quite

:15:19. > :15:24.openly in your blog but can you give us an idea of how it manifests

:15:25. > :15:30.itself in you? How low can you and have you got? I have been recovering

:15:31. > :15:33.for over a year now from falling off a ladder and banging my head and

:15:34. > :15:38.that has really decreased what I have been able to do. I get very

:15:39. > :15:42.tired very quickly and when I get tired and I am frustrated at not

:15:43. > :15:46.being able to do as much as I want as an MP or quite often spent time

:15:47. > :15:53.with my family and my young kids, that makes me feel really low and

:15:54. > :15:58.often you are just feeling that everything is bad, nothing you do is

:15:59. > :16:07.write and I'm a bit of nightmare. Have you considered taking time off

:16:08. > :16:10.from being an MP to recover fully? Admitting my depression is hopefully

:16:11. > :16:15.a part of just getting better and hopefully being able to do the job

:16:16. > :16:18.better and function better as a human being, rather than the way we

:16:19. > :16:22.sometimes viewed it in the past as an indicator of a problem rather

:16:23. > :16:30.than a problem that is being sorted out. We wish you well. Thank you.

:16:31. > :16:35.Very courageous of him to speak to us. A typical thing to talk about,

:16:36. > :16:39.very personal. But we wish them well.

:16:40. > :16:45.Sport. A busy programme in the Premier League tonight. All four of

:16:46. > :16:49.the region's clubs have tough matches that none catches the eye

:16:50. > :16:56.more than evident's trip to Manchester United. It is the first

:16:57. > :17:01.time David Moyes has faced his former club and successor. History

:17:02. > :17:06.is not an Everton's side? No, they have a terrible record here at all

:17:07. > :17:12.travelled. You have to go back to 1992 for the last time they won. You

:17:13. > :17:16.mention David Moyes going up against his former club for the first time.

:17:17. > :17:20.It will be interested in interesting to see the reception he gets.

:17:21. > :17:25.Roberto Martinez has imposed a different style on the team and

:17:26. > :17:32.perhaps find one or two critics as well.

:17:33. > :17:40.With just one Premier League defeat so far, a record no other team can

:17:41. > :17:43.match. And plenty of goals going in at the other end. Roberto Martinez's

:17:44. > :17:49.players are doing his talking for him. We are getting stronger on the

:17:50. > :17:52.pitch, growing and improving. We have done that in the last five

:17:53. > :17:56.months. When Martinez was appointed in June, many Blues fans were unsure

:17:57. > :17:58.whether he was the right man. In Liverpool city centre today,

:17:59. > :18:06.unsurprisingly, I found plenty who'd changed their minds. Surprised,

:18:07. > :18:12.actually. With the success that David Moyes had had it was a bit of

:18:13. > :18:16.a worry. It really is fantastic After the departure of David Moyes

:18:17. > :18:21.last season I was really worried. Very pleased. Manchester United

:18:22. > :18:25.manager David Moyes will put out a side against his former club for the

:18:26. > :18:29.first time this evening. At home and with Wayne Rooney ` once an Everton

:18:30. > :18:32.Blue, of course ` in outstanding form, United will be favourites to

:18:33. > :18:35.take the points. But Moyes for one will not be underestimating the

:18:36. > :18:40.threat of his old charges. I used to always say to them, you would be

:18:41. > :18:46.able to do without a manager, you boys. You know your job. You are

:18:47. > :18:55.well organised. But Roberto has done a really good job and kept it going.

:18:56. > :19:00.Everton's manager still knows he has plenty to prove but as starts go,

:19:01. > :19:04.it's certainly something to write home about.

:19:05. > :19:09.I have been looking ahead to the game with former Everton striker

:19:10. > :19:12.Graeme Sharp and I asked him whether Everton would come here confident of

:19:13. > :19:18.getting that elusive victory here at Old Trafford tonight. Definitely.

:19:19. > :19:22.They have only been beaten once, They have only been beaten once

:19:23. > :19:28.yes, in Manchester, but I think the performance will be good. We had a

:19:29. > :19:34.4`for a couple of years ago and hopefully we can go one better. Only

:19:35. > :19:38.time will tell. Are you surprised by how quickly Roberto Martinez has

:19:39. > :19:43.been able to impose his style successfully on the team? Yes. When

:19:44. > :19:48.he came in pre`season and they worked very hard, they have to

:19:49. > :19:51.change style. David Moyes had a different approach to the game. All

:19:52. > :19:56.credit to Martinez and the players. They have taken everything on board.

:19:57. > :19:59.He has brought in one or two players that have added to the squad. He had

:20:00. > :20:05.a good squad that they inherited from David Moyes but he has added

:20:06. > :20:09.wisely and those players are performing from that moment in time

:20:10. > :20:15.will stop but still a long way to go. David Moyes will be particularly

:20:16. > :20:20.keen to get a result tonight. Yes. He is fantastic for Everton football

:20:21. > :20:25.club. He was there for a long time. When he came in at first and they

:20:26. > :20:28.were at the bottom of the league, he got us challenging for European

:20:29. > :20:32.positions ninth and out of ten. What David did for them should not be

:20:33. > :20:37.forgotten. I am not sure what kind of reception he will get this

:20:38. > :20:40.evening, but I think the majority of Everton fans will realise what a

:20:41. > :20:46.good job he did. He has moved on now. He has started very well and

:20:47. > :20:51.hopefully that can continue. It is not just United and Everton in

:20:52. > :20:54.action tonight. All four of the North West Premier League are

:20:55. > :20:57.playing this evening. Third`placed Manchester City hope to improve

:20:58. > :21:00.their shaky away form at West Brom, while Liverpool, who are fourth, are

:21:01. > :21:02.hopeful of bouncing back from Sunday's defeat to Hull when they

:21:03. > :21:08.host Norwich. Commentary and coverage on BBC

:21:09. > :21:12.Radios Manchester and Merseyside, while you can catch the highlights

:21:13. > :21:19.on Match Of The Day on BBC One at 10.35pm.

:21:20. > :21:23.Blackpool are facing selection problems for Saturday's match at

:21:24. > :21:26.Derby after they had three players sent off in the last five minutes of

:21:27. > :21:31.last night's defeat at Yeovil. Defender Kirk Broadfoot was the

:21:32. > :21:34.first to go. He was dismissed for a second yellow card in the 90th

:21:35. > :21:38.minute. Striker Ricardo Fuller was shown a straight red card less than

:21:39. > :21:42.two minutes later, for this incident off the ball, and a second defender,

:21:43. > :21:45.Gary McKenzie, was also sent off, as The Seasiders ended the game with

:21:46. > :21:51.eight men. Boxing news. Liverpool heavyweight

:21:52. > :21:54.David Price has relinquished his British and Commonwealth belts in a

:21:55. > :21:57.bid to revive his career after back`to`back defeats. The

:21:58. > :22:00.30`year`old must let go of the belts after turning down a fight with

:22:01. > :22:01.fellow Briton Dereck Chisora. Instead, Price will face Russia's

:22:02. > :22:09.Instead, Price will face Russia s Evgeny Orlov after signing a deal

:22:10. > :22:16.with a promoter in Germany. No word as yet definitively, on the

:22:17. > :22:21.teams. But talking to a lot of man United fans they expect Robin van

:22:22. > :22:27.Percy to play some part. Everton will be hoping he does not. Six

:22:28. > :22:33.goals in ten Premier League starts. But I bet he will be wearing gloves.

:22:34. > :22:37.It is absolutely freezing. It sounds like his friends have

:22:38. > :22:41.arrived as well. Yes. I was talking to a Blackpool fan after they had

:22:42. > :22:47.the three players sent off at the end last night and he said that if

:22:48. > :22:51.they had had another one sent off they would have had to abandon the

:22:52. > :22:54.game. The producers of a high`tech panto in Manchester are hoping the

:22:55. > :22:59.audience will be blown away by their new version of Peter Pan.

:23:00. > :23:04.Hopefully not literally blown away. For the first time, a powerful wind

:23:05. > :23:08.turbine will allow Peter to fly without wires or harness. The

:23:09. > :23:10.machine is usually used to train skydivers and produces winds of up

:23:11. > :23:17.to hundred and 50 miles an hour. to hundred and 50 miles an hour

:23:18. > :23:21.Peter Pan hovering over the stage, a site we have come to expect with the

:23:22. > :23:26.panto season upon us. But how about this, without a cable attached?

:23:27. > :23:30.Before the start of a UK tour, this famous character was in an indoor

:23:31. > :23:36.skydiving centre in Manchester. When Peter Pan was written, J M Barrie

:23:37. > :23:46.did not envisage wires on the back of the main character. But this is a

:23:47. > :23:53.modernisation. He balances on a 155 mph last using technology used to

:23:54. > :23:59.train astronauts. It is a world first onstage. You get a real rush

:24:00. > :24:03.when the engine starts. As one volunteer discovered, it is not an

:24:04. > :24:09.easy as it looks. That is probably why a stunt double is used. It is a

:24:10. > :24:20.little bit risky, especially when I am pretty high. What if there is a

:24:21. > :24:27.power could? Then I would just land down on the safety cushion. We have

:24:28. > :24:34.a few different systems to fly. We have 3D flying and I am allowed to

:24:35. > :24:39.do that and it is really cool. I am a daredevil so maybe I can give it a

:24:40. > :24:42.go later on. You can see the cast in action in Manchester later this

:24:43. > :24:48.month. It is amazing. How pantomimes have

:24:49. > :24:54.changed. You would think it would be too noisy, but obviously not. We

:24:55. > :24:58.hope not. Talking about 150 mph wind, it is
