:00:00. > :00:00.BBC One we join Good evening. Welcome to NorthWest

:00:07. > :00:09.Tonight with Annabel Tiffin and Roger Johnson. Our top storx: The

:00:10. > :00:12.?70 million cocaine smuggling operation foiled by police before

:00:13. > :00:15.the drugs flooded the streets of Liverpool. One of the gang, Ian

:00:16. > :00:18.Stanton, was today jailed for 1 years.

:00:19. > :00:22.Also tonight: The fatal plane crash en route to Everest ` an inpuest

:00:23. > :00:25.hears how four local men didd in Nepal.

:00:26. > :00:30.Survivors of the lightning storm ` the Cheshire family who walked away

:00:31. > :00:36.unharmed from this. And the cup glory in Claret `

:00:37. > :00:47.I heard a bang, a big noise, and it was completely like that. And some

:00:48. > :00:50.residents are calling in thd bin tax here in Pendle. They will soon have

:00:51. > :00:55.to pay to have their green waste taken away.

:00:56. > :00:57.And the cup glory in Claret ` celebrations to mark the 100th

:00:58. > :01:05.anniversary of a famous Burnley victory.

:01:06. > :01:11.They'd planned to flood the streets of Liverpool with cocaine worth more

:01:12. > :01:15.than ?70 million. But their plot was foiled by pure chance. Police

:01:16. > :01:18.stumbled across the drugs dtring a routine dockside check. Offhcers

:01:19. > :01:22.then launched a sting of thdir own to catch the gang. Today, two of the

:01:23. > :01:24.men involved in what's been described as a very sophisthcated

:01:25. > :01:28.operation were jailed. They join others of their number who're

:01:29. > :01:30.already locked up. But as otr chief reporter Dave Guest explains, the

:01:31. > :01:32.mastermind behind the plan remains at large.

:01:33. > :01:37.This container was supposedly packed with frozen beef from Argentina It

:01:38. > :01:41.had travelled from Buenos Ahres to Tilbury docks last May. But when

:01:42. > :01:46.officials decided to check the meat for signs of E coli, they got far

:01:47. > :01:49.more than they bargained for. Stashed inside were more th`n a

:01:50. > :01:54.dozen holdalls stuffed with blocks of cocaine worth in excess of ? 0

:01:55. > :01:57.million. Over 400 kilograms of cocaine, high`purity, cut cocaine.

:01:58. > :02:01.As a result of that, the National Crime Agency took on the

:02:02. > :02:05.investigation. But the gang didn't know thdy'd been

:02:06. > :02:08.caught out. So officers filled the holdalls with bricks and thd

:02:09. > :02:14.consignment was sent on to hts intended destination, a cold store

:02:15. > :02:17.in Wigan. When James Mossman collected a couple of those

:02:18. > :02:22.holdalls, he soon realised the stash was gone, but didn't realisd the

:02:23. > :02:25.police had it. It became apparent that the individual behind the

:02:26. > :02:29.actual invitation believed they had been ripped up by another crime

:02:30. > :02:32.group. So this man, Ian Stanton, w`s called

:02:33. > :02:38.in to organise a search and recovery operation. He and associates met on

:02:39. > :02:43.a retail park at Aintree to discuss tactics, unaware their everx move

:02:44. > :02:46.was being monitored by the police. During that meeting, it was quite

:02:47. > :02:49.apparent that the criminal gang were intent on using extreme violence to

:02:50. > :02:57.identify the individuals behind the rip`off, if you will.

:02:58. > :03:00.Completely unaware that these drugs were in the possession of the

:03:01. > :03:03.police? Absolutely. Gary Keating and Francis Oakford

:03:04. > :03:07.were at that meeting. They `nd Mossman are all now serving jail

:03:08. > :03:13.terms. Stanton fled to Holl`nd, but was tracked down and extradhted last

:03:14. > :03:17.December. Today, he got 12 xears for conspiracy to supply cocaind. Beside

:03:18. > :03:21.him in the dock at Liverpool today, Anthony Short. He'd been involved in

:03:22. > :03:27.importing the drugs and was sent down for 22 years. Judge Al`n Conrad

:03:28. > :03:32.QC said this had been a sophisticated plot to import a huge

:03:33. > :03:35.quantity of drugs into the TK. He said it was obvious that St`nton and

:03:36. > :03:38.his associates had the determination to discover what had happendd to

:03:39. > :03:46.their consignment, to track it down, and then distribute it.

:03:47. > :03:49.But two of the men involved in that meeting at Aintree are still on the

:03:50. > :03:52.run. Anthony Saunderson and David McDermott are thought to be

:03:53. > :03:55.overseas. Meanwhile, the iddntity of the mastermind who had over`ll

:03:56. > :04:03.control of the drugs import`tion plan is as yet unknown.

:04:04. > :04:14.the daughter of one of the lost well known Hillsborough campaigndrs has

:04:15. > :04:17.told the new inquests into the disaster of her mother's relentless

:04:18. > :04:20.determination to find the truth Sara Williams was speaking `bout her

:04:21. > :04:23.mother Anne, who died last xear Anne Williams lost her 15`ydar`old

:04:24. > :04:26.son Kevin in the disaster in 19 9. Today the inquest heard personal

:04:27. > :04:33.tributes to ten more of the 96 victims, including Kevin Williams.

:04:34. > :04:35.Andy Gill was in court. Sara Williams came to Warrington

:04:36. > :04:41.knowing she faced a emotion`lly gruelling appearance in court.

:04:42. > :04:44.Sara's brother Kevin was just a teenager when he was killed. His

:04:45. > :04:47.mum, Anne, from Crosby, wagdd a lengthy legal battle against the

:04:48. > :04:50.decision at the original inpuests not to hear evidence about what

:04:51. > :04:59.happened after 3:15 on the day of the disaster. She felt the response

:05:00. > :05:02.of the emergency services h`dn't been examined. Anne died from cancer

:05:03. > :05:06.three days after attending last year's Hillsborough memorial

:05:07. > :05:33.service. Today Sara Williams said this of her brother.

:05:34. > :05:38.That statement that Sara made was perfect. He was such a

:05:39. > :05:47.happy`go`lucky lad, mischievous bright, good`looking lad.

:05:48. > :05:52.The jury also hard another tribute to Eric Hankin from his father Eric

:05:53. > :05:55.Senior. He read his statement for us afterwards.

:05:56. > :05:59.I feel very hurt and cheated that I've lost my son at the young age of

:06:00. > :06:08.33, with all his life still in front of him. I love my son, and H miss

:06:09. > :06:11.him every day. Among other tributes, the jtry also

:06:12. > :06:14.heard about the oldest victhm, 67`year`old Gerard Baron from

:06:15. > :06:20.Preston. His son, also Gerard, was at the match with him. Gerard Baron

:06:21. > :06:23.Junior said he and his fathdr expected to be safe at a

:06:24. > :06:29.high`profile football match, and not, as he put it, "witness hell

:06:30. > :06:32.before their eyes". He said the last thing he said to his father was

:06:33. > :06:35."You'll be OK." "How wrong H was," he said. There'll be more tributes

:06:36. > :06:51.tomorrow. Michael Adebolajo has launched an

:06:52. > :06:54.appeal against his life sentence for the murder of the soldier Lde Rigby.

:06:55. > :06:57.Fusilier Rigby, who was frol Middleton, was killed outside the

:06:58. > :07:01.Woolwich Barracks in May last year. The trial judge said the barbaric

:07:02. > :07:04.nature of the murder justifhed a whole life sentence.

:07:05. > :07:07.A review into part of the Isle of Man's health service has fotnd that

:07:08. > :07:09.less than 50% quality stand`rds were met. The emergency department,

:07:10. > :07:13.theatres, anaesthetics and critical care were all looked into. @reas of

:07:14. > :07:17.concern included a shortage of staff and trauma management.

:07:18. > :07:22.National Museums Liverpool will shut six venues for a day later this

:07:23. > :07:26.month. The closure on April 24th is for staff to be briefed on cuts The

:07:27. > :07:30.organisation says its budget has been cut by nearly a third over the

:07:31. > :07:34.past four years and more job losses are needed.

:07:35. > :07:40.More details have been given of the Giants' return to Liverpool this

:07:41. > :07:43.summer. It's one of the country s main World War One commemor`tions.

:07:44. > :07:46.The girl and her dog will vhsit Kensington and Newsham Park, taking

:07:47. > :07:52.the performance outside the city centre.

:07:53. > :07:56.A father whose twin daughters were delivered by a doctor who dhed

:07:57. > :07:59.trying to save her son from drowning has said it's no surprise she died a

:08:00. > :08:02.hero. Uma Ramalingam was a consultant obstetrician at Royal

:08:03. > :08:05.Oldham Hospital and has helped bring hundreds of children safely into the

:08:06. > :08:08.world. Tributes have been p`id today, describing the 42`ye`r`old as

:08:09. > :08:14.caring and inspirational. Abbie Jones reports.

:08:15. > :08:19.Identical twins Grace and Lhly Mae Wilson are happy and healthx. But it

:08:20. > :08:22.was a high risk pregnancy for parents Adam and Zoe from Rochdale.

:08:23. > :08:31.They saw Dr Uma Ramalingam dvery fortnight until she deliverdd their

:08:32. > :08:36.daughters. It's no surprise to me that she was doing something heroic.

:08:37. > :08:41.She was fantastic with thesd. She was obviously an expert in what she

:08:42. > :08:45.did, excellent at her job, `nd we were all a bit upset, last night,

:08:46. > :08:49.because she had a big part hn these being born. Dr Ramalingam, from

:08:50. > :08:52.Altrincham, was on a family holiday in Tenerife. She drowned along with

:08:53. > :08:56.a relative after trying to rescue their two children off the coast of

:08:57. > :08:59.Playa Paraiso. Today it emerged the death is the second tragedy to hit

:09:00. > :09:03.the family. Dr Ramalingam's first husband, her son's father, was

:09:04. > :09:06.killed in a road accident in 20 7. In Tenerife, an investigation has

:09:07. > :09:20.now been opened by the police and civil guard. It's just shows you the

:09:21. > :09:23.power of the see. I gather the children were standing on rocks not

:09:24. > :09:27.far from the sea and were hht by large ways that came across the top

:09:28. > :09:31.of it. We are all very shocked to know what happened, and to hear

:09:32. > :09:35.about this tragedy. It was only the second day into the group's holiday.

:09:36. > :09:37.Today, those she'd helped p`id tribute to her on social media.

:09:38. > :09:56.Donella O'Donnell wrote: "I am Adam and his wife say they will

:09:57. > :10:08.always be grateful for the care they and their daughters received.

:10:09. > :10:11.A campaign to give women earlier access to cervical screening moved a

:10:12. > :10:14.step closer today. It comes after the death of Merseyside teenager

:10:15. > :10:18.Sophie Jones, who died from the illness aged 19. At the momdnt, the

:10:19. > :10:21.age for routine smear tests is 5, but almost 320,000 people h`ve

:10:22. > :10:24.signed an online petition asking for that to be reviewed. Today, the MP

:10:25. > :10:28.Steve Rotheram presented thd case for a full debate on the issue.

:10:29. > :10:32.Earlier I asked him, that whth so many people signing the pethtion, if

:10:33. > :10:34.there was any doubt that such a debate would go ahead.

:10:35. > :10:39.Well, unfortunately, there hs still doubt. The decision by the committee

:10:40. > :10:43.won't be known until tomorrow. I put forward a very strong case saying

:10:44. > :10:47.that it should be in the mahn chamber and not in Westminster Hall.

:10:48. > :10:51.The main chamber debate means that we could put forward a motion that

:10:52. > :10:54.can go to a vote, and that's after all what the family have asked for

:10:55. > :10:59.and certainly what the camp`igners believe, by signing the pethtion,

:11:00. > :11:03.they'll get. A lot of medic`l experts believe it has little or no

:11:04. > :11:06.impact on the rates of cervhcal cancer by lowering that scrdening

:11:07. > :11:11.age, and if anything, it can cause more harm to those girls. I think

:11:12. > :11:13.what the argument that was put forward today would be, that it s

:11:14. > :11:17.routine screening for all pdople under 25, and that's not wh`t the

:11:18. > :11:23.family have called for, and that's not what the campaigners have signed

:11:24. > :11:26.a petition about. It is that if anybody under that age belidves that

:11:27. > :11:30.they've got some sort of sylptoms that could lead them to belheve that

:11:31. > :11:39.they've got the condition, that they have the right to ask for a smear,

:11:40. > :11:43.and that's all there is, re`lly That's why I think that if we can

:11:44. > :11:47.get this debate, the governlent will be forced to act upon it. So that is

:11:48. > :11:51.quite an important point to make, then, isn't it, that you're not

:11:52. > :11:54.actually calling for the agd of routine screening to be brotght down

:11:55. > :11:59.to 16, just for those that request it? In Sophie's case, what happened

:12:00. > :12:05.is, she went to the GP and was denied the opportunity to h`ve a

:12:06. > :12:08.smear test. A smear test obviously would have found that she w`s

:12:09. > :12:13.suffering from cervical cancer, and if you catch it early enough, her

:12:14. > :12:16.life could have been saved. All the parents want is to ensure that

:12:17. > :12:21.nobody else has to go through what they have been through with the loss

:12:22. > :12:32.of their child. Thank you vdry much for joining us.

:12:33. > :12:39.Interesting thoughts there. Still to come: A bolt from the blue. It must

:12:40. > :12:43.have been really scary. We need the Cheshire family who survived the

:12:44. > :12:51.chaos of a lightning strike. I heard a bang, a big, big noise, and it was

:12:52. > :12:55.completely dark. And Doobie Sturridge Liverpool star striker

:12:56. > :13:06.surprises young fans and te`ches them his famous goal celebr`tion.

:13:07. > :13:10.He has been practising! The family of a man from Chdshire

:13:11. > :13:14.who died in a plane crash in Nepal has told an inquest he would not

:13:15. > :13:17.have flown if he had been aware of the country's air safety record

:13:18. > :13:21.Timothy Oakes was one of seven British tourists killed in the crash

:13:22. > :13:24.in 2012. Four of them were from the North West, including Mr Oakes. Mark

:13:25. > :13:28.Edwardson reports from the hnquest in Warrington.

:13:29. > :13:36.It was September 28, 2012, when a twin engine turboprop operated by

:13:37. > :13:40.Caesar airlines, crashed at Kathmandu airport in Nepal.

:13:41. > :13:44.On`board, tourists looking forward to a trekking holiday near the base

:13:45. > :13:47.camp of Mount Everest. Everxone on board was killed, including Vincent

:13:48. > :13:54.and Alan Kelly from Bolton, Timothy Oakes from Warrington, and Raymond

:13:55. > :13:59.Eagle from Macclesfield. Inpuests are being held here at Warrhngton

:14:00. > :14:02.town hall, and the issue of the poor air safety record of the airline has

:14:03. > :14:08.been important. Relatives h`ve said that if the deceased had known about

:14:09. > :14:10.this, he would never have flown His widow Angela said, he loved

:14:11. > :14:14.adventure, but he loved his family more. The inquest in Warrington also

:14:15. > :14:19.heard about the possible catses for the crash, from UK investig`tors.

:14:20. > :14:24.There had been a bird strikd, but that was ruled out as a cause. While

:14:25. > :14:30.the plane overloaded? Not according to official documentation. `` it is

:14:31. > :14:35.thought it was probable, however, saying it is common practicd for

:14:36. > :14:38.Nepalese passengers to take cash for an extra bag or two without the

:14:39. > :14:43.knowledge of the pilot. One even admitted he noted he had bedn lied

:14:44. > :14:47.to join the investigation. The tour firm said it had switched to the

:14:48. > :14:51.airline after its previous carrier suffered an accident. Quizzdd by

:14:52. > :14:55.families and representatives at length, its spokeswoman said the

:14:56. > :14:59.firm had now stop using Nep`lese carriers, but only since thdy were

:15:00. > :15:05.blacklisted by the EU at thd end of last year. What actually happened to

:15:06. > :15:10.that flight may never be known, but before rising to consider hhs

:15:11. > :15:13.conclusion, the coroner stated that this was the most comprehensive

:15:14. > :15:19.investigation he had encountered in the 21 years of his current job

:15:20. > :15:24.A family from Crewe have bedn forced to leave their home after lhghtning

:15:25. > :15:26.struck, wrecking much of thd house. As a powerful electric currdnt

:15:27. > :15:32.surged through the property, sockets were blown off the walls, and holes

:15:33. > :15:41.were burnt into the floor. The damage will take months to repair.

:15:42. > :15:47.Stuart Flinders reports. Broken windows, hold in the roof. It

:15:48. > :15:53.must have been quite a storl. I heard a bang, a big, big nohse, and

:15:54. > :15:57.it was completely dark. This man was on the phone when power surged

:15:58. > :16:02.through the walls, burning ` hole through the floor next to where he

:16:03. > :16:09.stood. So that is your. 's bowl and that was struck by the lightning?

:16:10. > :16:17.Yes. What is funniest is, mx dog was here. Your dog was there? Hd was

:16:18. > :16:21.sleeping. Did he wait? Definitely! The dog appeared to have recovered

:16:22. > :16:24.from the shock. You can see where the lightning smashed through the

:16:25. > :16:28.roof of the loft there, and the current has travelled through the

:16:29. > :16:34.ceilings and walls, wrecking and forcing nails and screws out of the

:16:35. > :16:40.walls. A new roof, new windows, new electrics. The insurers say it will

:16:41. > :16:44.be three to four months before the family can move back in. How are the

:16:45. > :16:49.children? As my husband told me they were just screaming and hiding

:16:50. > :16:53.under the blankets. What ard the chances of your house being struck

:16:54. > :16:58.by lightning? Smaller than winning the lottery. I bet you would rather

:16:59. > :17:03.do that! Yeah! The family are currently staying in a hotel,

:17:04. > :17:06.shocked but glad to be alivd. Absolutely terrifying.

:17:07. > :17:10.Some residents in Pendle ard calling it the bin tax. From June, they ll

:17:11. > :17:13.have to pay an extra ?25 a xear if they want their green bins dmptied.

:17:14. > :17:20.The borough council says it's because of budget cuts. Lots of you

:17:21. > :17:23.have got in touch. We will read your e`mails at the end of the programme.

:17:24. > :17:27.They're the latest council to introduce the fee, and say those who

:17:28. > :17:29.opt out of the scheme will have to recycle garden waste themselves Our

:17:30. > :17:33.environment correspondent Jtdy Hobson reports.

:17:34. > :17:36.Residents in Foulridge near Colne had their green bins emptied for

:17:37. > :17:41.free this morning. From Jund, that will all change. Harry is a keen

:17:42. > :17:44.gardener and regularly fills his green bin. He doesn't think the

:17:45. > :17:52.council should start charging for taking his garden waste awax. In

:17:53. > :17:58.principle, I think they havd a bit of a nerve. An extra charge for

:17:59. > :18:02.this, what can there be an dxtra charge for next? Pendle Borough

:18:03. > :18:06.Council says it has no choice. The ?25 annual charge won't makd them a

:18:07. > :18:11.profit, but will cover the cost of the service. That service w`s

:18:12. > :18:13.provided in the heyday of local government spending, when money was

:18:14. > :18:17.being thrown from central government. It is not any more. You

:18:18. > :18:21.have to save money, but what will people do with their green waste?

:18:22. > :18:25.They will either choose to take up the service for the extra ?25 per

:18:26. > :18:29.year, compost it at home, or take it one of our recycling centres. But

:18:30. > :18:32.the County Council closed the nearest recycling centre at Colne,

:18:33. > :18:36.so that option would be a shx`mile round trip. I think we will probably

:18:37. > :18:41.actually just pay it, because we don't have the time to make a trip

:18:42. > :18:45.to the local tip every two weeks. At the moment, we cut the grass, so I

:18:46. > :18:53.suspect we will be begrudgingly pay it. Karen Clark doesn't havd a green

:18:54. > :18:57.bin. She says the council rdfused to collect it because she lives in a

:18:58. > :19:00.remote area. She thinks the new charge is fair. I think it hs not

:19:01. > :19:02.before time. We have never had a green refuse collection, from when

:19:03. > :19:06.it was first introduced. My argument with the council was, why are we

:19:07. > :19:11.paying for something we don't get? I think it is only fair that hf people

:19:12. > :19:16.wanted, they pay for it. Thd council say they are not considering cuts to

:19:17. > :19:21.other bin collections. Lots of you have been in totch, as I

:19:22. > :19:24.said, about this issue. We will read some e`mails at the end of the

:19:25. > :19:26.programme. First, let's get some sports news.

:19:27. > :19:28.Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore has admitted a Football Association

:19:29. > :19:31.charge of misconduct and repuested a personal hearing. The 61`ye`r`old

:19:32. > :19:34.was suspended by the club in February and was last week charged

:19:35. > :19:38.over "multiple breaches" of betting rules. A statement on Rovers'

:19:39. > :19:48.website revealed the club whll review Moore's position at Prenton

:19:49. > :19:53.Park over the next 24 hours. Crickets next, and the openhng day

:19:54. > :19:56.of Lancashire's match and Nottinghamshire. The first latch of

:19:57. > :20:00.their return to the top flight is proving to be testing. They shot out

:20:01. > :20:06.for just 144 in their first innings. Nottingham cracked 271st tile

:20:07. > :20:08.around, leading the visitors needing a large total to win, and I suspect,

:20:09. > :20:12.praying for rain. Some sad news for Everton f`ns.

:20:13. > :20:17.Sandy Brown, part of the 1970 League Championship winning side, has died

:20:18. > :20:24.aged 75. Sandy Brown was signed from Partick Thistle in 1963 and played

:20:25. > :20:27.251 times for the Blues. Wayne Rooney is expected to play for

:20:28. > :20:30.Manchester United against B`yern Munich in their quarterfinal

:20:31. > :20:40.tomorrow. He trained this morning, having been absent at the wdekend

:20:41. > :20:44.with a with a bruised toe. No truth in the rumour that he droppdd his

:20:45. > :20:47.pay packet on it! Burnley might well be just ` few

:20:48. > :20:50.games away from promotion to the Premier League. But the distance

:20:51. > :20:54.between them and winning thd famous FA Cup has reached an incredible 100

:20:55. > :20:57.years. The Clarets last picked up the famous old trophy in April 914,

:20:58. > :21:01.just a few months before thd start of the First World War. A ndw

:21:02. > :21:11.exhibition at Towneley Hall has been telling fans all about it.

:21:12. > :21:17.For Clarets fans, these memories are pure gold. April 20 five, 1814.

:21:18. > :21:22.Burnley take on Liverpool in the last final to be played at the

:21:23. > :21:26.Crystal Palace. They win 1`0. The goal was scored by Bert Fredman His

:21:27. > :21:31.winner 's medal is till herd, and so is the fading shirt he wore. Just to

:21:32. > :21:38.think that the goal`scorer `ctually wore that shirt will stop absolutely

:21:39. > :21:42.fantastic. That final was played when Boots were sturdy and shin pads

:21:43. > :21:47.were built to last. It was played within a few months of the start of

:21:48. > :21:51.the great War. Shortly after lifting the cup, footballers became foot

:21:52. > :21:56.soldiers. Some of the players actually went off in servicd, and

:21:57. > :22:01.they did die. Edward Hodgson was a member of the 1914 cup winndrs. He

:22:02. > :22:06.went off on active service, and by the end of the war, he had caught an

:22:07. > :22:11.infection, and that resulted in his death. The 1914 final was the first

:22:12. > :22:15.to be attended by the reignhng monarch, King George V. Burnley s

:22:16. > :22:21.should then bought a special crest which will reappear the end of this

:22:22. > :22:25.season. It is the royal crest, which we have special permission from the

:22:26. > :22:30.palace to use, so we will bd putting that on for the Ipswich homd game,

:22:31. > :22:34.our final game of the season. Hopefully celebrating promotion

:22:35. > :22:40.Obviously, I can't say the P word, but you never know! Speaking as a

:22:41. > :22:44.Burnley fan, it may never h`ppen again that Burnley win the FA Cup,

:22:45. > :22:47.so a display like this is tremendous. I was reading that

:22:48. > :22:51.apparently all the factories and schools close on the day afterwards

:22:52. > :22:56.to celebrate. There will be many hoping for a similar promothon party

:22:57. > :22:59.very soon. They are still enjoying the glory

:23:00. > :23:03.days in Burnley! People in the glory days back then probably just

:23:04. > :23:06.celebrated by shaking hands, but these day they're often renowned for

:23:07. > :23:09.their extravagant goal celebrations. Peter Crouch had the robot. Lomana

:23:10. > :23:13.Lua Lua did somersaults. Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has a

:23:14. > :23:17.unique dance of his own. And pupils at a school in Anfield got real

:23:18. > :23:27.surprise when he popped in to give them some pointers. Have a look at

:23:28. > :23:30.this. Hello. I am a Liverpool fan. My

:23:31. > :23:38.favourite player is Daniel Sturridge.

:23:39. > :23:50.I have my own celebration. Ly own celebration is a front flip.

:23:51. > :24:01.What is happening? URI? I think his goal celebration is really fun. What

:24:02. > :24:12.are you doing, like a five? What is happening, player? How are xou

:24:13. > :24:16.doing? You're right? I think you have to do it better though. In my

:24:17. > :24:22.opinion, I think you have to get into it a little bit more. Why did

:24:23. > :24:28.you come to Liverpool? Becatse of you. What a charmer!

:24:29. > :24:32.Is he there? I don't know what he was doing.

:24:33. > :24:36.And you can see the full ephsode of Daniel Sturridge's visit to that

:24:37. > :24:45.school on LFCTV's Kop Kids, which is on Thursday and Friday this week.

:24:46. > :24:53.I'm sure you could do a better job! Right, Diane, now for the wdather.

:24:54. > :24:57.Good evening. A blustery dax today. That wind was really roaring, really

:24:58. > :25:02.quite cold, giving a wintry feel to the weather. Good news in the next

:25:03. > :25:06.few days, particularly towards the weekend. High`pressure returns, and

:25:07. > :25:10.things should be quiet and lore settled. A relatively fine spell.

:25:11. > :25:14.This is how it looks right now. The wind went down through the

:25:15. > :25:18.afternoon, with temperatures around 11 degrees. It felt OK eventually,

:25:19. > :25:22.but the morning was pretty raw. This is how it looks through the night.

:25:23. > :25:27.Over the next few hours, thd cloud cover will come and go, so ht is

:25:28. > :25:31.50`50. If you see any long breaks, you could have temperatures falling

:25:32. > :25:35.to around two or three degrdes. For most towns and cities, they are a

:25:36. > :25:42.lot better, temperatures of around six and seven. First thing hn the

:25:43. > :25:46.morning, we are looking at ` north`south divide. Anywherd to the

:25:47. > :25:50.south of the river rebel, you should be dry. Anywhere to the north, there

:25:51. > :25:54.is a line of weather coming in temporarily first thing tomorrow

:25:55. > :25:57.morning, so part of the Isld of Man, Cumbria and northern Lancashire will

:25:58. > :26:00.start the day with rain arotnd. Everywhere else should be dry but

:26:01. > :26:04.fairly cloudy. It is an improving picture. He high`pressure area

:26:05. > :26:08.manages to push that weather system out of the way through the day, so

:26:09. > :26:13.dry, brighter skies started spreading to Cumbria, Lancashire and

:26:14. > :26:16.the Isle of Man. To the south, cloud cover will take some time bdfore it

:26:17. > :26:21.thins and breaks, but eventtally it will, and you might not see a

:26:22. > :26:25.massive amount of sunshine, but the winds are lighter than todax, when

:26:26. > :26:30.they were 30 to 40 miles now. Tomorrow, a quiet today, so it will

:26:31. > :26:33.look OK, and we will be tot`lly about 12 and 13. Rain for Thursday,

:26:34. > :26:40.but high`pressure returns after that and things that'll down.

:26:41. > :26:45.I am getting excited! Thank you very much. We have had plenty of e`mails

:26:46. > :26:51.and comments about the storx about the charges for emptying grden waste

:26:52. > :26:56.bins. One review essays, just because some houses don't h`ve

:26:57. > :26:59.gardens, that is no reason to charge. I have no children, but have

:27:00. > :27:05.the paper Children's Servicds. Another says, I think it is right to

:27:06. > :27:08.charge people to pay for thhs. People in flats generally are less

:27:09. > :27:12.affluent than people in houses. Hillary says, we had to takd green

:27:13. > :27:17.waste to take a mile away, but that is now closed. Now they want to

:27:18. > :27:21.charge for taking away wastd we can't take ourselves. And Rdbecca

:27:22. > :27:25.Wilkins says, people will jtst end up filling their normal reftse bins

:27:26. > :27:30.with green waste if there's goes ahead. I suppose the Warriors, if it

:27:31. > :27:35.is garden waste, people think that it is all right, and fly`tipping it.

:27:36. > :27:40.We are not suggesting that. We are, however, sending someone on our team

:27:41. > :27:44.to a South American geography course tonight. Good night.
