:00:00. > :00:10.again. Something to look forward to. That is all from the BBC News

:00:11. > :00:13.Welcome to North West Tonight with Roger Johnson, and Annabel Tiffin.

:00:14. > :00:16.The legacy of grooming scandals here, as Lancashire Police tell us

:00:17. > :00:18.they're receiving 25 calls ` week from potential abuse victims.

:00:19. > :00:21.We'll ask the Ramadan Found`tion what efforts have been made stop

:00:22. > :00:36.Keeping Merseyside on track. New stations and better services as a 30

:00:37. > :00:40.year plan is revealed. We are in Liverpool at the National thssue

:00:41. > :00:41.bank is a new documentary focuses on the young people who do vit`l work

:00:42. > :00:42.here. The Dutchman's reign at Manchester

:00:43. > :00:48.United reaches a new low. Why the North West is getting

:00:49. > :00:51.a reputation Lancashire Police are receiving

:00:52. > :01:07.an average of around 25 referrals a week

:01:08. > :01:10.about concerns over child sdxual The number, more than 1,200

:01:11. > :01:15.in the last year, follows yesterday's report into mord than

:01:16. > :01:21.a decade of abuse in Rotherham. Meanwhile, it's also emerged this

:01:22. > :01:23.afternoon that the current Chief Executive of Liverpool City Council

:01:24. > :01:26.was in charge of Rotherham `t the time a report into the scandal

:01:27. > :01:29.was suppressed and the rese`rcher The scandal on the other side

:01:30. > :01:36.of the Pennines has echoes of past problems here in thd

:01:37. > :01:38.North West, but organisations here Yesterday's report follows

:01:39. > :01:45.a series of high profile cases here The biggest was the sentenchng two

:01:46. > :01:50.years ago of nine men for a total of 77 years for grooming vulnerable

:01:51. > :01:54.girls in Rochdale. The men trafficked girls to towns

:01:55. > :01:58.including Oldham and Nelson, and there have also been cases

:01:59. > :02:02.in Burnley and Blackpool. Councils, police and other `gencies

:02:03. > :02:07.are now co`ordinating closely on projects like Sunrise in Rochdale,

:02:08. > :02:12.Phoenix across Greater Manchester, The Stockport MP, Ann Coffex, is

:02:13. > :02:18.chairing an inquiry into how child sexual exploitation can be better

:02:19. > :02:22.prevented across Greater Manchester. This small charity

:02:23. > :02:27.in Oldham works with young girls They agree a lot

:02:28. > :02:46.of progress has been made, One of the barriers we have had to

:02:47. > :02:50.overcome is the stigma attached to sign `` child sexual exploitation.

:02:51. > :02:56.Modi wants to have that problem All young people by virtue of their age

:02:57. > :02:57.have no relationship experidnce And they need that support and guidance

:02:58. > :03:03.and education. The Rotherham report highlighted a

:03:04. > :03:05.reluctance to engage the Pakistani Here in the north west, Polhce have

:03:06. > :03:09.been talking to key industrhes like taxi firms and takeawax owners

:03:10. > :03:12.raise awareness of the issud. Again, the feeling among calpaigners

:03:13. > :03:25.is that things are much improved. Community groups, faith grotps,

:03:26. > :03:28.youth groups, schools, everxbody has a part to play in this. And we all

:03:29. > :03:34.need to be more vigilant and take our duty and care seriously, which I

:03:35. > :03:38.don't doubt people do. Meanwhile, it's now emerged that a

:03:39. > :03:40.former chief executive of Rotherham borough council during the cover`up

:03:41. > :03:43.of child sexual exploitation is the current chief executive of Liverpool

:03:44. > :03:45.City Council, Ged Fitzgerald. It's understood that Mr Fitzgerald

:03:46. > :03:48.is on holiday, and no one from With us

:03:49. > :04:07.in the studio now is Mohammdd Shafiq Thank you for coming in. We have

:04:08. > :04:13.heard progress has been madd in Rochdale. What is your view? I

:04:14. > :04:16.always believed that Rochdale was a catalyst for change. The molent when

:04:17. > :04:22.people woke up to the reality of these crimes, I have been speaking

:04:23. > :04:27.out since 2007, and I was accused of doing the work of the far rhght but

:04:28. > :04:30.now we know this has gone on. The systems and institutions th`t were

:04:31. > :04:34.there to protect children h`d failed. And all of those with

:04:35. > :04:37.responsibility should resign which is why I think the Chief Exdcutive

:04:38. > :04:43.of Liverpool City Council should consider his position as well. There

:04:44. > :04:47.was also the issue of racisl brought up in the Rotherham report which

:04:48. > :04:52.also raised its head in Rochdale as one of the reasons that the abuse

:04:53. > :04:57.wasn't exposed earlier. Do xou think there's still a problem now in

:04:58. > :05:01.institutions? No, I don't. @s you referred to it in the report, there

:05:02. > :05:05.is a number of instances whdre the council and the police in

:05:06. > :05:10.partnership have worked togdther in Rochdale, running awareness sessions

:05:11. > :05:14.in child sexual exploitation is There are activities going on in

:05:15. > :05:18.schools for teenage children. So the lessons are being learned, `nd there

:05:19. > :05:22.is more partnership with thd projects. We are never complacent,

:05:23. > :05:29.we must do more, but there hs an element that thinks that whhte girls

:05:30. > :05:33.are worthless. This is the same position since 2007. Becausd they

:05:34. > :05:37.are white, they are able to use them. So, there are still pdople

:05:38. > :05:47.with those thoughts and atthtudes in Rochdale? Yes. So, is there any

:05:48. > :05:50.abuse at the moment? There `re some investigation is ongoing in

:05:51. > :05:52.Manchester. We will have to see what happens there.

:05:53. > :05:55.Now, to a 30 year plan that'll avoid massive overcrowding on Merseyside's

:05:56. > :05:57.trains and bring huge econolic benefits to the whole region.

:05:58. > :06:02.Mersey travel has published proposals that could mean more

:06:03. > :06:04.stations, modern trains and better services

:06:05. > :06:07.for commuters in Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashird.

:06:08. > :06:10.They could be given the gredn light as early as next month.

:06:11. > :06:17.Another busy day on Liverpool's underground.

:06:18. > :06:19.And it's only going to get busier according to Merseytravel,

:06:20. > :06:27.which oversees Merseyside's public transport.

:06:28. > :06:34.By 2043, if we did nothing, most of our network would be over 160% over

:06:35. > :06:37.capacity, so we are talking hundreds of thousands of extra passengers.

:06:38. > :06:39.There are 12 main points to Merseytravel's 30 year plan.

:06:40. > :06:42.Amongst them, a new station serving the centre of Liverpool,

:06:43. > :06:54.As the growth is increasing, anything that persuades people to

:06:55. > :06:56.use public transport rather than car is very good. I think it will bring

:06:57. > :07:00.a lot of investment. We need that. With the prospect of high speed rail

:07:01. > :07:02.arriving in the region, Merseytravel wants to electrify rail

:07:03. > :07:04.routes between Merseyside It also wants to extend Merseyrail

:07:05. > :07:09.services to John Lennon Airport And build entirely new stathons

:07:10. > :07:26.at point across the network, It is home to 40,000 people but it

:07:27. > :07:31.is connected to the railway network. Under the new proposals, it would

:07:32. > :07:36.get railway station. Long overdue, according to some. It could do with

:07:37. > :07:41.one. It is mayhem if you want to go anywhere. Because the popul`tion has

:07:42. > :07:43.grown so much, there is too much transport on the road. I wanted

:07:44. > :07:46.Everybody wants it. West Lancashire Borogh Council's

:07:47. > :07:53.already on board. It is the second`biggest town that

:07:54. > :07:56.doesn't have a railway stathon and is essential to the prosperhty and

:07:57. > :08:00.The 30 year plan prosperity and future prosperity of the town. goes

:08:01. > :08:05.Combined Authority on the 18th of next month.

:08:06. > :08:08.An inquest has heard an eight`year`old boy from Oldham

:08:09. > :08:10.died from an asthma attack after a 999 call was wronglx

:08:11. > :08:15.categorised by an operator `t the North West Ambulance Service.

:08:16. > :08:18.Clayton Barker began struggling for breath at his grandmothdr's

:08:19. > :08:23.But the 999 call operator thought the emergency was less serious

:08:24. > :08:29.than it was, so the next wahting ambulance was sent elsewherd.

:08:30. > :08:32.A murder investigation's been launched in Heywood.

:08:33. > :08:35.A woman, believed to be in her 0s, was found dead at a propertx

:08:36. > :08:40.Her body's believed to have been there for more than a month.

:08:41. > :08:49.A three`year`old boy's been found riding, alone,

:08:50. > :08:52.It's thought the toddler may have travelled

:08:53. > :08:55.from Droylsden, almost five miles, away after apparently getting onto

:08:56. > :08:59.The child's mother is due to be spoken to by the police

:09:00. > :09:07.The Westmorland and Lonsdald MP Tim Farron is calling for an independent

:09:08. > :09:09.review into the regional fire control centre at Warrington.

:09:10. > :09:11.He's described it as a "white elephant" after reports a

:09:12. > :09:14.crew from Carlisle was calldd out to a fire near Bolton.

:09:15. > :09:17.But the Fire Service says no engine was ever sent, and the

:09:18. > :09:28.Salford's Mayor says he has no regrets about committing more than

:09:29. > :09:31.?160,000 to help a rugby cltb while making huge budget cuts.

:09:32. > :09:34.And Ian Stewart has defended his decision to fast track `

:09:35. > :09:37.redundancy payment for the council official who brokered the ddal.

:09:38. > :09:41.That officer then went on to work for the club.

:09:42. > :09:44.Councillors have today been considering an auditor's report

:09:45. > :09:46.which concluded the Mayor dhd nothing wrong, but recommended

:09:47. > :09:49.changes to the rules governhng pay offs for top officials.

:09:50. > :09:53.Our Chief Reporter, Dave Gudst, has the story.

:09:54. > :09:57.Martin Vickers was the council officer who drew up a deal to help

:09:58. > :10:00.It involved the authority agreeing to mdet

:10:01. > :10:07.the club's match day costs tp to a total of ?164,000 for 2013/14

:10:08. > :10:11.Salford's Mayor Ian Stewart sanctioned the deal.

:10:12. > :10:16.The Mayor also agreed that Mr Vickers could take voluntary

:10:17. > :10:20.redundancy from the council weeks later.

:10:21. > :10:24.Mr Vickers then went to work for the rugby club.

:10:25. > :10:26.Councillors today endorsed a report which recommended

:10:27. > :10:34.tightening the rules governhng pay outs to top officials.

:10:35. > :10:39.The mayor says that he didn't know Mr Vickers was going to work for the

:10:40. > :10:40.red Devils. The lack of a formal record of

:10:41. > :10:44.the rugby club deal was described as a failing, but the report concluded

:10:45. > :10:51.the Mayor had done nothing wrong. The system allows the electdd mayor

:10:52. > :10:55.to make the decision. That hs correct. I gave strong leaddrship,

:10:56. > :11:01.and made, in my view, the rhght decision. So why do is you decide to

:11:02. > :11:06.commit so much money to a rtgby club at a time when your council is

:11:07. > :11:11.making widespread cuts? The money is used for investment in the rugby

:11:12. > :11:14.club and the rugby stadium `re actually capital money. You cannot

:11:15. > :11:17.use capital money for front line services.

:11:18. > :11:19.Salford Council part owns the stadium where the Red Devils play.

:11:20. > :11:22.The Mayor says securing the future for their main tdnants

:11:23. > :11:34.Turning to the severance de`l, Mr Vickers applied for it, and the

:11:35. > :11:38.money was there in his accotnt within a couple of days. If

:11:39. > :11:42.unemployed has extenuating circumstances, they can apply to

:11:43. > :11:49.receive their money early. So if it was a dinner lady or a bin lan. .

:11:50. > :11:53.Exactly the same. Do you regret any decisions you've made? I believe I

:11:54. > :11:58.gave strong, sound leadershhp, I'd do the same again, and I will

:11:59. > :12:00.continue to do so for as long as I am in this post.

:12:01. > :12:12.I am not shocked. Is Manchester United's manager the only one not

:12:13. > :12:16.taken aback by their latest humiliation? The north`west is now

:12:17. > :12:21.home not only to the best rdstaurant in the country but also this place,

:12:22. > :12:33.the best pub. I'll find out what makes the region such a draw when it

:12:34. > :12:38.comes to drinking and dining. Is that not the best job of thd night?

:12:39. > :12:40.I wouldn't mind spending my time in the pub. But you would rathdr be

:12:41. > :12:47.here doing the sport. Manchester United fans will be

:12:48. > :12:49.wondering just what happened And it does leave you scratching

:12:50. > :12:54.your head at just how a League One team put together

:12:55. > :12:57.for less than half a million pounds That's less than two weeks wages

:12:58. > :13:04.for Wayne Rooney and when you think that, United have just splashed out

:13:05. > :13:10.?59.7 million on Angel Di M`ria it Having said that the Capitol One Cup

:13:11. > :13:16.isn't a priority for United and it was far

:13:17. > :13:18.from their first choice lind`up But it was still a team with several

:13:19. > :13:22.established internationals on show. And it may well have left ndw boss

:13:23. > :13:25.Louis Van Gaal with Louis van Gaal,

:13:26. > :13:31.one of football's note`takers, will have had some rather unpleasant

:13:32. > :13:35.bedtime reading last night. If his Manchester United nedded

:13:36. > :13:40.a wake`up call, surely this was it. But it is only the start

:13:41. > :13:44.of the season. For such a young squad out hn pretty

:13:45. > :13:51.much a major cup, it's disgraceful. Van Gaal put up a couple

:13:52. > :13:57.of youngsters but his starting line`up also

:13:58. > :14:00.contained five players with over 100 One of them, Jonny Evans,

:14:01. > :14:05.gifted the opener. The second also came from United

:14:06. > :14:08.giving the ball away. This excellent improvised fhnished

:14:09. > :14:15.giving David de Gea no chance. MK Dons took further advant`ge of

:14:16. > :14:19.United mistakes to score a third. We have made the biggest errors

:14:20. > :14:25.in building up situations. And when we do that,

:14:26. > :14:30.you give always... A performance that will not

:14:31. > :14:34.have impressed new star He has, though,

:14:35. > :14:39.been impressed by United's fans I'm very happy with the fans

:14:40. > :14:41.from Manchester United and I have received many messages,

:14:42. > :14:45.particular my wife. His arrival takes United's transfer

:14:46. > :14:53.spending in 2014 to around ?170 And on last night's showing,

:14:54. > :15:15.his signing is unlikely to be Plenty for Louis Van Gaal to think

:15:16. > :15:22.about after a less than impressive Now if you're a United fan,

:15:23. > :15:26.you'll probably know it's Red Wednesday on BBC Radio

:15:27. > :15:28.Manchester with former striker I caught up with him just

:15:29. > :15:34.before he went on air and asked him first of all how long the rdbuilding

:15:35. > :15:47.process is likely to take? It won't take a season, it light

:15:48. > :15:54.take a year, maybe more. It has happened where he has been before.

:15:55. > :16:02.He has had to get his way of playing into the players. And... I lean he

:16:03. > :16:08.knows what he wants, but it is just getting the players to actu`lly do

:16:09. > :16:13.what he wants. You think he has been shocked by the depth of the problems

:16:14. > :16:19.he has to solve? I think he might be because, you know, the squad, I

:16:20. > :16:23.think... Needed bolstering. We knew that from after last season. They've

:16:24. > :16:27.done that. I don't think thdy can have a go at the glaziers to say

:16:28. > :16:31.they haven't spent the monex because they have, especially with ` Geordie

:16:32. > :16:40.Maria coming in. So now it hs about the coach getting one or two more

:16:41. > :16:44.in. That is what he would love to do before the transfer window closes.

:16:45. > :16:49.And then moulding those plaxers into the players we have got. Whdn you

:16:50. > :16:55.look at the problem is eviddnt in the team, how much does that

:16:56. > :17:02.exonerate David Moyes? It illustrates the problems were there

:17:03. > :17:07.before David Moyes came in. The hierarchy didn't think he w`s going

:17:08. > :17:12.to get the chance to change that around. They thought the signs were

:17:13. > :17:16.bad. Unfortunately, they felt that David had to be fired. How luch do

:17:17. > :17:21.you think the signing of Angel di Maria could be a spark for the whole

:17:22. > :17:28.season? He is a magnificent player with pace, he can cross the ball, he

:17:29. > :17:30.can get shots around, and hd has a range of passing as well. I think he

:17:31. > :17:33.will be a very big player. In the other Capital One Cup

:17:34. > :17:35.matches, it was also a bad night for our

:17:36. > :17:38.other Premier League team Btrnley who lost at home to Championship

:17:39. > :17:40.side Sheffield Wednesday. Preston were knocked out

:17:41. > :17:42.by Middlesborough. But it took extra time

:17:43. > :17:44.and two goals from Jermain Beckford With the score at 1`1, Beckford

:17:45. > :17:49.thought he'd volleyed in thd winner in the 98th minute but seconds later

:17:50. > :17:52.Marcus Haber made in 2`2 to send Beckford finally scrambled

:17:53. > :18:03.in the winner for a 3`2 win. And you can see highlights

:18:04. > :18:06.of those matches on the Football Samuel Eto'o will give Everton

:18:07. > :18:11.an unpredictable "fear factor" according to lanager

:18:12. > :18:16.Roberto Martinez. The 33`year`old Cameroon striker,

:18:17. > :18:18.who was a free agent after being released by Chelsea

:18:19. > :18:21.has signed a two`year contr`ct with Martinez could hand Eto'o hhs debut

:18:22. > :18:38.against his former club on Saturday. When you see him in the teal as

:18:39. > :18:40.opposing manager, you know he is unpredictable, the unpredictable

:18:41. > :18:44.play he has, that fear factor that you want. It is an interesthng

:18:45. > :18:46.thing. Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish got

:18:47. > :18:49.his first win since dislocating his shoulder during a crash in Harrogate

:18:50. > :18:52.during the Tour de France. The 29`year`old completed the 1 2

:18:53. > :18:55.kilometre stage one of the Tour de Poitou`Charentes through La Ronde

:18:56. > :18:59.in France with a sprint finhsh. It was his 10th victory

:19:00. > :19:08.of the season. And there is a silver lining

:19:09. > :19:15.for one Manchester United f`n. Holly Griffiths from Cheshire got

:19:16. > :19:17.a free bet with a bookie and thought she'd put ?2.50 on the

:19:18. > :19:21.Reds to win 4`0 against MK Dons But it seems she filled

:19:22. > :19:23.in the form incorrectly and had With odds of 500 to one,

:19:24. > :19:36.she pocketed ?1,250. Congratulations to her! One I make a

:19:37. > :19:38.mistake, it costs me money. That will have sweetened it for her.

:19:39. > :19:45.Thank you. We We often hear

:19:46. > :19:47.about people waiting for vital organ transplants, but a new TV programme

:19:48. > :19:50.filmed on Merseyside is hophng to show viewers that you're far more

:19:51. > :19:53.likely to be able to help someone It follows the team of men

:19:54. > :19:58.and women who work at the It's not something people often want

:19:59. > :20:02.to think about, but the two`part series shows how donations of skin

:20:03. > :20:05.and bone from the dead are crucial The Human Tissue Squad follows

:20:06. > :20:09.a group of ordinary young pdople from Merseyside,

:20:10. > :20:11.who play an extraordinary role often skin is one of the most in

:20:12. > :20:17.demand tissues the team takd... It shows the demanding work done

:20:18. > :20:20.by the team based in Speke, and the camararderie needed to get through

:20:21. > :20:30.the emotional challenges it creates. Standing in a more jury at 2am, when

:20:31. > :20:34.it is not actually for the greater good, you wouldn't want to do it,

:20:35. > :20:36.the motivation wouldn't be there, so I still get that massive sense of

:20:37. > :20:38.achievement after every retrieval. The team hope this will makd more

:20:39. > :20:41.people aware that by agreeing to donate tissud

:20:42. > :20:44.after death, one person can help or This is the only tissue bank in

:20:45. > :20:48.the UK that's involved in the whole process, from initial donor referral

:20:49. > :21:02.through to the hospitals who use it It'll be something that thehr

:21:03. > :21:07.parents can consent to when they have passed away. It will bd

:21:08. > :21:11.referred to the centre, and then I will go out and coordinates the

:21:12. > :21:16.donation, so physically removing the tissue from that patient so it can

:21:17. > :21:19.be shipped out as a graft. We will try to get some donated skin.

:21:20. > :21:22.The programme also features some of those whose lives are ch`nged

:21:23. > :21:30.I hope it escalates tissue donations to the wider public and givds them

:21:31. > :21:34.more information because thd idea is the information is out therd for

:21:35. > :21:37.them to make their own choices, and hopefully make an informed choice of

:21:38. > :21:38.whether or not they want to become a donor in the future.

:21:39. > :21:47.The programme will be broadcast on BBC Three next Monday at 9pm

:21:48. > :22:01.Just occasionally, we get a bit of a jealous pang for our colleagues who

:22:02. > :22:05.get to do something really good The second year running, the Northwest

:22:06. > :22:08.is officially home to the bdst restaurant in the country and mouth

:22:09. > :22:24.for the first time, the best pub as well. L'Enclume has taken the

:22:25. > :22:31.restaurant prize and our reporter is it was well. What are they serving

:22:32. > :22:34.up in the pub tonight? Welcome to the Freemasons, the best

:22:35. > :22:38.pub in the country officially according to the good food guide.

:22:39. > :22:43.This isn't any place getting accolades because the best

:22:44. > :22:46.restaurant in the country is Simon Rogan's place in Cumbria. That is

:22:47. > :22:51.where I have spent the day finding out what the secret is to their

:22:52. > :22:54.success. There is a noticeable lack of

:22:55. > :23:00.swearing in the kitchen at L'Enclume. It is calm. Everxthing is

:23:01. > :23:04.precise. And, for the second year in a row, it is the best restatrant in

:23:05. > :23:08.Britain. Is there still that stereotype that all you get in the

:23:09. > :23:14.North as pies and if you want good food you've got to go to London It

:23:15. > :23:17.can be at times. I think, though, that there is so many good

:23:18. > :23:24.restaurants in the area, in Cumbria itself, and food producers, that is

:23:25. > :23:29.on the decline now. I think, hopefully, we have shrugged that

:23:30. > :23:32.off. With the award is stacking up, it's not just the restaurant itself

:23:33. > :23:38.feeling the benefits. Locals will tell you that they now have their

:23:39. > :23:44.own micro`economy, key to bringing in visitors. We have a brewdry,

:23:45. > :23:50.bread shop, wine shop, cheese shop. And all of that is something else.

:23:51. > :23:54.And it is brilliant. The village is getting a reputation for behng a

:23:55. > :23:59.foodie place. And people ardn't only buying food while they are here

:24:00. > :24:08.Steve set up shop a long daxs `` set up a shop a Kopelev shops down from

:24:09. > :24:13.L'Enclume because of the tr`de. The clientele are the kind that will

:24:14. > :24:19.spend the money. They get a nice restaurant experience and then they

:24:20. > :24:28.come here. People come, people eat, and people people spend. Thhs is the

:24:29. > :24:32.go`to place for good food and fine dining.

:24:33. > :24:36.That is the restaurant side of things. After the eating coles the

:24:37. > :24:41.drinking and so we find ourselves at the bar. This is Steven Smith who

:24:42. > :24:45.owns the Freemasons. You must be so pleased to be the best pub hn the

:24:46. > :24:51.country. Over the moon, supdrb. What's the secret of your stccess?

:24:52. > :24:57.You took it over five years ago how have you made it work? Take each day

:24:58. > :25:02.as it comes, being personable, never let things be too much trouble for

:25:03. > :25:08.our customers. If we can do it, we will do it for you. And makhng sure

:25:09. > :25:12.that we keep the pub in it. People were saying that has become an area

:25:13. > :25:20.known for local produce and good food, is it the same thing here It

:25:21. > :25:25.is similar. The Northwest, `cross the board, produce is fantastic The

:25:26. > :25:30.Ribble Valley has a fantasthc reputation already, which m`kes it

:25:31. > :25:35.easier for us to start up and hopefully, enhance that repttation.

:25:36. > :25:39.Some people might think the guide is a bit elitist, the places are

:25:40. > :25:47.expensive, is that your takd on it? Definitely not. I mean, obvhously,

:25:48. > :25:52.we have three courses for ?05, fantastic value for money. @nd there

:25:53. > :25:56.is something for everybody there. Thank you very much, and

:25:57. > :26:00.congratulations. Now my work is over and so I will leave you to think on

:26:01. > :26:06.that. I wonder what she's going to do The

:26:07. > :26:07.Northwest is the best place to eat, than! Except for my microwave meal

:26:08. > :26:17.tonight. Weather`wise today, it was just

:26:18. > :26:21.lovely. Tomorrow, a day of two halves, staying dry, but thd

:26:22. > :26:25.rain`bob will turn up in thd afternoon. Tonight, a band of

:26:26. > :26:31.rain`bob to the south`west of us. And then it pushes its way hn. Once

:26:32. > :26:36.the sun comes in, by midnight you will see it. You will see it as it

:26:37. > :26:41.rises over the high ground with heavy burst of rain from tile to

:26:42. > :26:45.time. There's a few good thhngs about it, the cloud cover associated

:26:46. > :26:51.with it keeps the temperatures up. The other good news is it is a

:26:52. > :26:59.fairly narrow band. Tomorrow, temperatures, 13, 14, 15, and the

:27:00. > :27:03.morning isn't too bad. That rain and drizzle might continue for the first

:27:04. > :27:08.hours but through the morning on a brighter and drier skies. Don't be

:27:09. > :27:12.full sway you set out thinkhng that weather will last all day bdcause

:27:13. > :27:16.that is the next line of rahn, moving in after lunch. It moves

:27:17. > :27:26.across the region, falling `part in many places, so not everywhdre will

:27:27. > :27:32.be wet. By tea`time, brightdr skies. Temperatures, around 19. It doesn't

:27:33. > :27:39.feel too bad. There will be arraigned sandwich, we

:27:40. > :27:56.could put that on the menu! `` there will be a rain sandwich.

:27:57. > :27:59.You asked for it. You got it. SHRILL WHISTLE

:28:00. > :28:02.I promise not to take off all my clothes.

:28:03. > :28:05.I'm going up in the world, babes, and from today,

:28:06. > :28:11.one can't sack someone for going, "Bleuh-huh-huh-huh"

:28:12. > :28:16.I'm going to teach you a lesson, Churchy.

:28:17. > :28:19.Where's your shoe? It's in the car. I'll get it later.

:28:20. > :28:27.Big School returns for a new term. Oh, ha-ha-ha-ha!

:28:28. > :28:29.Old friends John Thomson and Simon Day

:28:30. > :28:31.are swapping comedy for Argentina and the gaucho life...

:28:32. > :28:34.I AM going to moisturise. It will be secret.

:28:35. > :28:36...where men are men, and the cows aren't laughing.

:28:37. > :28:41.You won't see gauchos sitting down watching...
