:01:30. > :01:30.was jailed for nine years for sexually abusing ten school boys at
:01:31. > :01:35.In a moment we'll we speaking to one of his victims.
:01:36. > :01:38.But first, our reporter Clare Fallon is outside the college now.
:01:39. > :01:44.Clare tell us what happened in court today.
:01:45. > :01:55.It was described as a sustained campaign of abuse.
:01:56. > :01:57.For more than 20 years, the name Alan Morris instilled fear
:01:58. > :02:01.As the school's self`styled head of discipline ` the beatings he dished
:02:02. > :02:09.They satisfied his sexual desires for schoolboys.
:02:10. > :02:28.That moment marked the beginning of years of sexual abuse
:02:29. > :02:43.The sexual abuse... It was the final straw.
:02:44. > :02:44.Run by the Christian Brothers ` when corporal punishment was legal `
:02:45. > :02:48.Discipline enforced with leather straps, blackboard rubbers `
:02:49. > :02:52.But when Alan Morris hit boys it went beyond corporal punishment.
:02:53. > :02:56.Some were were abused on a weekly basis.
:02:57. > :03:07.Others were forced to hit each other ` while he watched.
:03:08. > :03:27.75 people came forward. For me, that shows the confidence these people
:03:28. > :03:31.have in the justice system. But despite
:03:32. > :03:57.a major police investigation. He had access to thousands of boys.
:03:58. > :03:58.I always thought sex was dirty after what he did.
:03:59. > :04:00.And many of the victims are still living with the impact
:04:01. > :04:04.Although many knew the truth about Alan Morris ` for decades `
:04:05. > :04:11.Tonight though ` he's behind bars ` starting a nine year sentence.
:04:12. > :04:26.Questions now about how he went unpunished for so long. He was
:04:27. > :04:38.interviewed in the past but no action was taken. Allegations were
:04:39. > :04:50.made against two other teachers. But they died. Alan Morris's abuse was
:04:51. > :04:55.brought to light by a former in 2012. He reported an incident
:04:56. > :05:02.which had happened to him in visited the teacher's house for an
:05:03. > :05:09.extra lesson. We won't go into but earlier his victim ` who asked
:05:10. > :05:13.to remain anonymous ` told I wonder whether that has
:05:14. > :05:21.something to do with it. I was frightened I was going
:05:22. > :05:26.to be sexually assaulted. I never want to feel
:05:27. > :05:33.powerless again. Why had you not gone to
:05:34. > :05:39.the authorities before? To this day,
:05:40. > :06:04.I feel guilty about that. Potentially,
:06:05. > :06:06.I could have let other people down That is
:06:07. > :06:15.a great personal embarrasment. How do you feel now `
:06:16. > :06:20.your actions led to this trial coming forward, and so many other
:06:21. > :06:27.victims have now come forward? I hope I've been able to give some
:06:28. > :06:32.of those people who hadn't had their day in court,
:06:33. > :06:35.or had unpleasant experiences like What do you think of him now,
:06:36. > :06:53.personally? That sounds odd,
