:00:37. > :00:40.councillors, people were urged to sign a petition asking for his

:00:41. > :00:44.resignation. It's about time that he let somebody

:00:45. > :00:47.come in who wants to build Tyldesley up.

:00:48. > :00:52.Very disappointed. And time to go. Robert Bleakley was found to have

:00:53. > :00:56.racked up a bill of over ?2,000 on his council mobile phone, which he

:00:57. > :01:02.used to call sex chat lines and send explicit and sexist text messages.

:01:03. > :01:07.Wigan Council has now banned him from having any contact with women,

:01:08. > :01:10.but they don't have the powdr to remove him from his post.

:01:11. > :01:14.What kind of message would ht send to young people about polithcs if

:01:15. > :01:18.nothing is done? So there ndeds to be a right of recall of MPs and also

:01:19. > :01:21.an ability to remove councillors who don't meet the accepted standards.

:01:22. > :01:24.We've tried to contact Councillor Bleakley today at his house but have

:01:25. > :01:28.had no response. Earlier in the week he told North West Tonight he

:01:29. > :01:32.apologised to any women he had offended but said he had no

:01:33. > :01:36.intention of standing down. I've always said I'm going to serve

:01:37. > :01:41.a full term until 2016. I al not a quitter.
