:00:00. > :00:00.tomorrow's talks when he will try to persuade Russia to end

:00:00. > :00:00.Welcome to North West Tonight with Roger Johnson...

:00:00. > :00:14.And Annabel Tiffin. Our top story:

:00:15. > :00:17.This contains some images you might find it distressing.

:00:18. > :00:19.An animal charity releases undercover footage, which it says

:00:20. > :00:20.shows barbaric cruelty at a Burnley slaughterhouse.

:00:21. > :00:22.The owners say animal welfare is paramount.

:00:23. > :00:24.The Food Standards Agency is investigating.

:00:25. > :00:28.Back to business for some shops caught up in the New Ferry

:00:29. > :00:33.explosion, but it could be a year before others can return.

:00:34. > :00:35.Battling against the barriers - the Lancashire student

:00:36. > :00:39.just hoping to live an independent life.

:00:40. > :00:42.I feel like we're in the forgotten category,

:00:43. > :00:56.But in actual fact, we are, because we do struggle.

:00:57. > :00:59.Low-mac I will be back soon, you will be OK.

:01:00. > :01:01.How a film made in Manchester's Victoria Baths is helping

:01:02. > :01:14.a teenager take the plunge into the movie big time.

:01:15. > :01:17.The Food Standards Agency is investigating a slaughterhouse

:01:18. > :01:21.in Lancashire after being given a secretly recorded video

:01:22. > :01:26.by campaigners, who allege animals are being cruelly treated.

:01:27. > :01:28.The campaigners say the images show animals in severe

:01:29. > :01:34.You may find some of the images in the piece coming up distressing.

:01:35. > :01:37.The FSA is looking into the claims and said

:01:38. > :01:40.The slaughterhouse says the welfare of animals is paramount.

:01:41. > :01:45.This is the room where sheep are prepared for slaughter.

:01:46. > :01:49.One animal is picked up by its fleece and thrown down.

:01:50. > :01:53.What happens in the next room is too graphic for us to show you.

:01:54. > :01:56.But campaigners say it shows acts of great cruelty,

:01:57. > :01:58.the slaughtermen, they say, failing to kill the animals

:01:59. > :02:10.The campaigners claim the video was recorded secretly at Malik Foods in

:02:11. > :02:13.Dunnockshaw near Burnley. Here, animals are killed according

:02:14. > :02:32.to Islamic halal methods. If the company are as they claim

:02:33. > :02:36.great cheer of animal welfare, why is it that we found sheep being

:02:37. > :02:39.picked up and thrown on several different occasions? Why is it that

:02:40. > :02:45.animals have their throats cut with blunt knives up to seven times in

:02:46. > :02:48.one case with one animal? This is something the management of the

:02:49. > :02:51.company should have known about and they should have known what is

:02:52. > :02:52.happening on their premises and stopped it.

:02:53. > :02:54.This part of the video records an exchange between staff

:02:55. > :03:09.The company told us Malik Group will work closely with the FSA

:03:10. > :03:11.to ensure that any findings or recommendations made

:03:12. > :03:13.by the FSA are addressed, and where required,

:03:14. > :03:28.Nobody from Malik Foods was prepared to talk to us today. The Food

:03:29. > :03:31.Standards Agency has begun an investigation, which could lead to

:03:32. > :03:35.criminal proceedings. In the meantime, some of the staff here

:03:36. > :03:40.have had their way since removed and an enforcement order has been

:03:41. > :03:41.issued, requiring the company to meet basic standards.

:03:42. > :03:45.Stuart Flinders, BBC North West Tonight, Lancashire.

:03:46. > :03:48.A senior Greater Manchester firearms officer has told an inquiry that

:03:49. > :03:53.a man who was shot was complying and had surrendered before he died.

:03:54. > :03:55.X7, as he's being referred to, was the most senior officer

:03:56. > :04:00.there when Anthony Grainger was shot in 2012.

:04:01. > :04:02.He told the inquiry that from what he saw,

:04:03. > :04:06.there was no reason to justify the shooting.

:04:07. > :04:07.Our social affairs correspondent Clare Fallon is live

:04:08. > :04:13.Clare, this is the evidence of the police officer

:04:14. > :04:21.who was effectively running the operation on the ground?

:04:22. > :04:28.Yes, that's right. We have heard several different versions of what

:04:29. > :04:33.happened that night in 2012 and Anthony Grainger, an unarmed man,

:04:34. > :04:38.was shot dead by police who are part of an operation designed to shock a

:04:39. > :04:42.suspected armed robbery. Today we heard from the police officer we

:04:43. > :04:46.know as X7, the most senior police officer who was there when all of

:04:47. > :04:50.this happen and I think it is there to save some of his evidence today

:04:51. > :04:54.did the evidence we heard last week from the police officer who pulled

:04:55. > :05:00.the trigger. X7 told the enquiry that he shouted at Anthony Grainger,

:05:01. > :05:04.armed police, show me your hands! And that Anthony Grainger did what

:05:05. > :05:09.he has told, put his hands up and surrendered. X7 was asked by the

:05:10. > :05:13.lawyer representing the Grainger family, if Anthony Grainger was

:05:14. > :05:17.complying with your instructions, you could not see any reason why you

:05:18. > :05:22.were there to justify shooting Anthony? And the response to that

:05:23. > :05:26.was, no, sir, he agreed that he could not see any justification. But

:05:27. > :05:30.important to point out that there is some disagreement about the exact

:05:31. > :05:33.chronology of what happened and some questions about whether Anthony

:05:34. > :05:40.Grainger had already been shot by the point officer X7 had his eyes on

:05:41. > :05:45.the situation. The enquiry has already heard that X7 had failed a

:05:46. > :05:52.firearms course not long before this had happened. Yes, that is a

:05:53. > :05:55.training course for specialist firearms officers, run by the

:05:56. > :05:59.Metropolitan Police down in London, and it was a couple of weeks ago

:06:00. > :06:03.when we were told that X7 had failed that course, that concerns had been

:06:04. > :06:07.raised about him becoming overloaded when under pressure, that was the

:06:08. > :06:11.phrase that was used about the impact that it had upon his

:06:12. > :06:15.decision-making. X7 was asked about those concerned today and said he

:06:16. > :06:19.thought the criticisms were unfair, he said, I do not think it is

:06:20. > :06:24.correct, I think I handle pressure well. The public hearings that form

:06:25. > :06:28.part of this enquiry are expected to continue until the end of this

:06:29. > :06:32.month, but it will likely be many more months before we get the

:06:33. > :06:33.findings of the enquiry. Thanks very much.

:06:34. > :06:36.An officer will face a gross misconduct hearing after a man died

:06:37. > :06:39.in a crash following a police chase in Greater Manchester.

:06:40. > :06:41.24-year-old Luke Campbell died after the car he was driving crashed

:06:42. > :06:46.An investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission found

:06:47. > :06:49.that PC Simon Folwell, the driver of the police car,

:06:50. > :06:53.has a case to answer for gross misconduct.

:06:54. > :06:57.A man has been charged with murder after the death of Vikki Louise Hull

:06:58. > :07:01.Detectives were called early Sunday morning to a house in Heaton Close.

:07:02. > :07:04.31-year-old Mark Geoffrey Mahoney is being kept in custody

:07:05. > :07:10.Drone footage has been released, showing how the construction

:07:11. > :07:11.of the Mersey Gateway bridge is progressing.

:07:12. > :07:14.The images taken last month show how hundreds of workers

:07:15. > :07:16.across the site are working to ensure the bridge opens

:07:17. > :07:25.The whole project will cost around ?600 million to complete.

:07:26. > :07:30.It to be a year before some New Ferry residents can return to live

:07:31. > :07:31.in homes. The area was hit by a huge

:07:32. > :07:34.explosion over two weeks ago, which is still being

:07:35. > :07:36.investigated by the police. As some businesses re-opened today,

:07:37. > :07:38.other shopkeepers and residents were seeing the damage

:07:39. > :07:40.to their properties Sue Evans is delighted

:07:41. > :07:50.to be trading again. It has been hard work getting

:07:51. > :08:01.the shop ready to open today. They the electorate off, so we have

:08:02. > :08:05.a lot of meat to dispose of and fruit and veg to dispose of. That

:08:06. > :08:12.had to be done specially. -- they turned the electrics off. But after

:08:13. > :08:13.that, it was just a matter of deep cleaning everything and getting

:08:14. > :08:14.everything sorted to reopen. Further down the road,

:08:15. > :08:17.it is still a scene of devastation. This is the restaurant which bore

:08:18. > :08:20.the brunt of the blast. A glass and jug still on a table

:08:21. > :08:23.where customers were dining. And in this shop a few doors down,

:08:24. > :08:37.staff assessed the damage We have lost everything, all the

:08:38. > :08:41.stuff that the general public donate to us, we have lost everything. It

:08:42. > :08:45.looks like there is damage to the roof as well. So it is certainly not

:08:46. > :08:46.going to be a short-term closure for us.

:08:47. > :08:48.Residents who were allowed into their homes told us

:08:49. > :08:58.The uncertainty of when they can return is taking its toll.

:08:59. > :09:02.That can only really happen after all the repair works have been done,

:09:03. > :09:04.so it could be a period of approximately six to 12 months, on

:09:05. > :09:06.what information we currently have. Wirral Council say they are holding

:09:07. > :09:09.regular community meeting to support residents and traders,

:09:10. > :09:10.whilst Merseyside Police say Lindsey Prosser,

:09:11. > :09:25.BBC North West Tonight, New Ferry. Really hard for them, to have to

:09:26. > :09:26.wait for a year to get back into their homes. We will follow their

:09:27. > :09:27.progress with interest. Still to come

:09:28. > :09:29.on North West Tonight... It's starting to get serious -

:09:30. > :09:32.Super League's new season moves towards an Easter packed

:09:33. > :09:37.with local derbies. The warrant and skipper will be here

:09:38. > :09:41.on the sofa. -- Warrington. Drawing on the success of his idol -

:09:42. > :09:51.the Manchester teenager hoping to It is a thing that I have always

:09:52. > :09:53.loved doing, it is exciting but daunting.

:09:54. > :09:57.Now to a determined young man who is doing all he can to improve

:09:58. > :09:59.life for disabled people in his home city of Lancaster.

:10:00. > :10:01.Teenager Cameron Redpath says the authorities are failing

:10:02. > :10:06.And now he's taking those authorities to task -

:10:07. > :10:09.urging them to remove the barriers that prevent him and others

:10:10. > :10:11.from living as independent a life as possible.

:10:12. > :10:25.See you later! 15-year-old Cameron Redpath is on something of a

:10:26. > :10:30.mission. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, but some of the

:10:31. > :10:33.payment -- pavements around his are inaccessible, which means he has to

:10:34. > :10:40.use the road. Could you not use the pavement to get to this position?

:10:41. > :10:48.No, because at the end of it is a massive curve that is on a slant, so

:10:49. > :10:53.you can see a peer -- kerb, but if I came off that, it would be too

:10:54. > :10:57.dangerous. The problem, he says, is not enough dropped kerbs for

:10:58. > :11:01.wheelchair access. This is a long-running problem. I feel like we

:11:02. > :11:05.are in the forgotten character dubbed category, we are not high

:11:06. > :11:10.priority. But in actual fact, we are, because we do struggle. And we

:11:11. > :11:16.want to be independent as much as we can. So, the teenager has cultivated

:11:17. > :11:20.friends in high places. He seems like a young man who could change

:11:21. > :11:25.the world. I think the world had better watch out because Cameron is

:11:26. > :11:29.on his way! Local MP Cat Smith has joined the campaign and says it has

:11:30. > :11:32.struck a nerve. I have since been approached by other wheelchair users

:11:33. > :11:35.who have told me about other problems they have and also saying

:11:36. > :11:39.that the problem is Cameron has violated by the problems they face

:11:40. > :11:44.daily so he has really got people talking locally about disability

:11:45. > :11:49.access. The campaign is not confined to pavement issues. Tick the city's

:11:50. > :11:51.bus station, designed to meet disability legislation, but even

:11:52. > :11:57.here he can struggle to complete his journey. It is mainly embarrassing,

:11:58. > :12:02.because you do not want always help, but then, you want to be as

:12:03. > :12:07.independent as much as you can, and that is not the case. Lancaster City

:12:08. > :12:12.Council says the bus station was built to comply with the disability

:12:13. > :12:15.discrimination act. There appear to be some isolated issue with the

:12:16. > :12:20.smaller bosses that use the station. It says it is working with

:12:21. > :12:24.Stagecoach to identify potential solutions. As for the pavements,

:12:25. > :12:30.Lancashire County Council says dropped kerbs in key places are a

:12:31. > :12:34.priority. Better watch out, Cameron is coming!

:12:35. > :12:39.It is interesting, if you're lucky enough to not need the dropped kerbs

:12:40. > :12:43.Laika you do not notice. But for someone like Cameron, you

:12:44. > :12:49.do. As a child of the 1980s, you will

:12:50. > :12:58.remember the TV series Knight Rider? Would you like to travel in

:12:59. > :13:01.a sports car that drives itself It sounds like something from

:13:02. > :13:05.the TV series Knight Rider, but from next year, it could become

:13:06. > :13:08.reality in Greater Manchester, People travelling between Stockport

:13:09. > :13:11.and Manchester Airport will be able to hail a driverless car

:13:12. > :13:14.by using an app on their phone. Driverless pods like these could

:13:15. > :13:20.one day be taking you from your car to the terminals

:13:21. > :13:23.at Manchester Airport. This was how the Government's

:13:24. > :13:26.?100 million investment in low-carbon, autonomous vehicles

:13:27. > :13:33.was launched in London. And this was how they announced

:13:34. > :13:36.the Manchester project. They are doing something called

:13:37. > :13:39.platooning, so they are driving So, automatically, that is using

:13:40. > :13:43.a lot less road space. As well as the pods

:13:44. > :13:46.at the airport, it's hoped cars like this will take

:13:47. > :13:48.passengers to the airport. These petrol sports cars

:13:49. > :13:50.still required drivers as they tested out the new A6

:13:51. > :13:57.relief road near Poynton. But the company behind them

:13:58. > :14:00.hopes one day they'll be hybrids or electric cars and capable

:14:01. > :14:02.of moving without anyone Members of the public will be able

:14:03. > :14:06.to book a journey in them from Stockport Railway

:14:07. > :14:08.Station to the airport People may look at it and think

:14:09. > :14:12.this isn't very safe, but if you go to race tracks

:14:13. > :14:15.all over the world, you see that this is actually

:14:16. > :14:17.happening on a regular basis. Are you talking about turning

:14:18. > :14:20.the A6 into a race track? So, the technology that we are

:14:21. > :14:24.looking at here is to reduce congestion, and to try

:14:25. > :14:29.and improve the air. Driverless cars are already

:14:30. > :14:32.on the roads in the US. But their involvement in several

:14:33. > :14:34.accidents has hit the headlines, leaving some motorists with concerns

:14:35. > :14:38.about their safety. Well, the vehicles themselves

:14:39. > :14:41.have a lot of very sophisticated equipment on them, including

:14:42. > :14:44.sensors, radar, that kind of thing, so they are able to react much

:14:45. > :14:49.quicker than a person would. We appreciate that they are

:14:50. > :14:52.sports cars, and that might not look super accessible,

:14:53. > :14:54.but the technology we are trialling could then be fitted on

:14:55. > :14:56.larger vehicles and be Transport for Greater Manchester

:14:57. > :15:00.says we can expect to see the sports cars being

:15:01. > :15:02.trialled on public roads Naomi Cornwell,

:15:03. > :15:17.BBC North West Tonight. A problem with the luggage, though!

:15:18. > :15:19.Some people suggesting the only reason I preferred the Dukes of

:15:20. > :15:21.Hazard was Daisy Duke. Sport now, and Stuart Pollitt

:15:22. > :15:24.is here with news of a boxer Not Ricky Hatton or anyone Laika? --

:15:25. > :15:37.like that? Yes, and a boxer coming back

:15:38. > :15:40.to the ring after giving birth. We're talking about

:15:41. > :15:42.Liverpool's Natasha Jonas - the first British woman to box

:15:43. > :15:45.in the Olympic Games at London 2012. Natasha, who recently had her first

:15:46. > :15:47.child, announced today She'll train at Joe Gallagher's gym,

:15:48. > :15:52.which has produced several men's world champions and is home

:15:53. > :15:54.to the Smith brothers OK, my job's slightly different,

:15:55. > :16:03.but I am just a working mum. So she's at the age where

:16:04. > :16:06.she could go to the nursery, as you've seen, I've got a big,

:16:07. > :16:08.massive, supportive family, When you've boxed at the level

:16:09. > :16:13.that I have, and I've got the skills that I possess,

:16:14. > :16:18.I think, to be a World Champion. On to rugby league, and St Helens

:16:19. > :16:21.say they won't rush into replacing Assistant coaches Sean Long,

:16:22. > :16:25.Jamahl Lolesi and Derek Traynor could be in charge for the rest

:16:26. > :16:29.of the season as the club target Saints' first game without

:16:30. > :16:32.Cunningham is against rivals The first thing he did was to ring

:16:33. > :16:40.up and make sure that the players went out and trained and got

:16:41. > :16:43.prepared as best they can to win the game on Friday night,

:16:44. > :16:45.because there will be no-one cheering louder in St Helens

:16:46. > :16:47.than Kieron Cunningham, he's a St Helens supporter,

:16:48. > :16:50.he is passionate about the club, he wants just to win

:16:51. > :16:52.and be successful. Regardless of his situation,

:16:53. > :16:54.he wants his group to Well, that Saints-Wigan game is one

:16:55. > :17:02.of three derbies this week. and then Salford host Leigh

:17:03. > :17:05.on Good Friday. To discuss all that,

:17:06. > :17:13.we've got Warrington captain and Great Britain international

:17:14. > :17:20.Chris Hill with us this evening. What is your reaction to the Keiron

:17:21. > :17:25.Cunningham News? It was a bit of a shock. I thought

:17:26. > :17:31.they might have given him until after Easter. But it is the nature

:17:32. > :17:35.of the beast, we're not getting results, so he goes first as the

:17:36. > :17:39.coach. I thought they might have given the Easter period to get maybe

:17:40. > :17:44.two wins. Let's move on to talking about Warrington. The shield winners

:17:45. > :17:49.last year, two finals, it has not gone to plan this year, what has

:17:50. > :17:54.gone wrong? It has not gone too well at all. We couldn't put our finger

:17:55. > :17:57.on it. We just were not quitting. The boys have stuck to it, been

:17:58. > :18:03.working hard in the gym and on the field, doing longer days than usual.

:18:04. > :18:09.But I think the second half of that game as may be given us the cake we

:18:10. > :18:14.needed. You can see you turning it around against Leeds. You have

:18:15. > :18:21.Widnes on Thursday, bottom two, these sides, so it is a tough game.

:18:22. > :18:28.Yes, it is. It probably makes it more important, we are sitting on

:18:29. > :18:32.the same points. I do not think we are bringing too much form into the

:18:33. > :18:41.game, so hopefully we will both turn it round on the day. How do you see

:18:42. > :18:45.Wigan against Saints? When you lose a coach it is going to go one way or

:18:46. > :18:52.the other. I could see it being a close game. But I should imagine

:18:53. > :18:56.Wigan will get it. Then softened against Leigh, two sides who have

:18:57. > :19:02.probably exceeded expectations. -- Salford. They had a great result

:19:03. > :19:06.against us and Saints and they have been through a bad patch over the

:19:07. > :19:10.last couple of weeks. They will be more than determined to turn it

:19:11. > :19:15.round against a good Salford side at the minute. I would have to say I

:19:16. > :19:20.would go with Leigh at home as well. I live in the Leigh area as well!

:19:21. > :19:25.You have got to go for them! But Salford have impressed. We went to

:19:26. > :19:31.their place and they beat us convincingly. I played with the

:19:32. > :19:35.coach and he is a very good man manager as well as coach so he will

:19:36. > :19:40.have them drilled every week, and that is what he seems to be doing. I

:19:41. > :19:45.will bring in these to know because they want to talk about the other

:19:46. > :19:48.Laika we are not going to ask you about your sport, but you have

:19:49. > :19:55.another business, a plumbing business, how do you fit it all in?

:19:56. > :19:59.That's my life! No, it is quite tough to clock in with my other job,

:20:00. > :20:04.and my kids, but that is how I want to do something after rugby. So this

:20:05. > :20:08.is your long-term plan? So you are a bit like Tom Finney

:20:09. > :20:14.used to be when he turned up in Preston and went to peace -- six

:20:15. > :20:21.people's sinks? You will not get me on-the-job match! -- on the job

:20:22. > :20:30.much. That's a shame I have got a leaking tap.

:20:31. > :20:35.You must have gone to a Warrington town Bob Monkhouse and they have

:20:36. > :20:39.said, you have turned up... You do get some strange looks when you

:20:40. > :20:43.knock-on the door. But I do enjoy it, it is something different and

:20:44. > :20:47.hopefully when the rugby career is finished and the business is up and

:20:48. > :20:48.running I can just settle into that. Good for you, thanks so much for

:20:49. > :20:50.coming in. Sam Jones from Manchester

:20:51. > :20:51.started making films His idol is director Danny Boyle,

:20:52. > :20:56.from Radcliffe, and those in the know in the film-making world

:20:57. > :20:59.say Sam has the talent At 16, the British Film Institute

:21:00. > :21:05.gave him a grant to make at an Oscar-qualifying

:21:06. > :21:08.film festival. Our reporter Abbie Jones

:21:09. > :21:10.has been to meet him. Manchester's magnificent

:21:11. > :21:12.Victoria Baths. Spectacular in the sunlight,

:21:13. > :21:14.but more eerie and gritty as the setting for Sam Jones's

:21:15. > :21:24.award-winning short film. Sam made Lifeline while

:21:25. > :21:28.doing his A-levels. Shot in five days, it tells

:21:29. > :21:31.the story of the lengths The teenager beat off 1,500

:21:32. > :21:49.other young film-makers I really wanted to film here because

:21:50. > :21:54.it is so cinematic, so haunting but beautiful at the same time.

:21:55. > :21:59.Something I wanted to get onto film. And how do you feel about this buzz

:22:00. > :22:04.around you? It is great to get recognition from festivals because

:22:05. > :22:09.people see the festival and they take a bit more notice. Matt Lucas

:22:10. > :22:10.tweeted me, which was kind of unbelievable.

:22:11. > :22:14.Sam's been storyboarding films from his bedroom in Altrincham

:22:15. > :22:17.His inspiration is Trainspotting director Danny Boyle,

:22:18. > :22:26.Those in the know say Sam could be just as big.

:22:27. > :22:32.I got no doubt at all that Sam will be collecting more awards in future.

:22:33. > :22:36.He is one of the most talented young film-makers we have come across in

:22:37. > :22:40.recent years. His films are beautiful looking, he tells

:22:41. > :22:43.ambitious stories and knows how to work with a team so I am positive he

:22:44. > :22:45.will make it in professional film-making.

:22:46. > :22:47.Sam's latest film, Big Night, set in a Manchester nightclub,

:22:48. > :22:50.was made for a fifth of the budget of Lifeline,

:22:51. > :23:03.We did not have any of the great support from the BFI for this one so

:23:04. > :23:05.I had a screening at home in Manchester, invited family and

:23:06. > :23:09.friends to come along so they donated the money and clubbed

:23:10. > :23:13.together, I always try and find people who are as excited to make

:23:14. > :23:14.the film as I am and I think that does come across in the film in the

:23:15. > :23:14.end. Sam's already started

:23:15. > :23:16.work on a new film. It's a passion -

:23:17. > :23:19.but with his success so far, he hopes it will now

:23:20. > :23:29.become a career. I think we need to keep our eye on

:23:30. > :23:32.him! Sam Jones, you heard it here first,

:23:33. > :23:40.when he picks up one of those Oscars.

:23:41. > :23:42.Yesterday, we brought you the story of the poets from

:23:43. > :23:45.the Young Identity Initiative - a poetry project encouraging people

:23:46. > :23:47.living in inner city areas to express themselves through verse.

:23:48. > :23:49.They're so good, they've now been asked to perform

:23:50. > :23:52.at the the Hay Festival - one of the country's most

:23:53. > :23:55.And we'll be featuring the poets' individual stories every day

:23:56. > :24:11.So you will be able to see lots more of them there on her Facebook page.

:24:12. > :24:16.How about the weather forecast? It has not been too bad today.

:24:17. > :24:22.This week it is all about the temperature profile. On Sunday, all

:24:23. > :24:27.of this yellow, it was so warm, by the time it got to about five p.m.,

:24:28. > :24:31.it will be dropped, and this week you can see the cool air pushing in,

:24:32. > :24:35.and it stays with us all the way through. It looks like it will be

:24:36. > :24:40.fairly cool through the weekend as well. But fine and dry weather to

:24:41. > :24:44.offer us, our weather watchers cut this in Cheshire, plenty of

:24:45. > :24:48.sunshine, but right now, a little sunshine to end the day, but the

:24:49. > :24:52.story tonight is about a weather front coming towards us. We will see

:24:53. > :24:56.a few more of these over the next couple of days. The high pressure

:24:57. > :25:01.kills of the activity within the weather front so while they get to

:25:02. > :25:04.us the ballot there should not be that much rain. But the one that

:25:05. > :25:09.comes through in the early hours could bring her some heavy rain.

:25:10. > :25:13.Let's concentrate on the evening. You have some time to enjoin that

:25:14. > :25:24.fine weather. The cloud will build, but we have 99.6% of a full mind

:25:25. > :25:27.tonight. -- full moon. But the cloud keeps coming through and as we head

:25:28. > :25:30.towards the early hours of the morning, the first signs of rain

:25:31. > :25:35.stopped to come into part of Cumbria and Isle of Man. The strong breeze

:25:36. > :25:39.we had today which has kept things chilly stays with us through the

:25:40. > :25:42.night. Overnight, it is a much better thing because it gives the

:25:43. > :25:46.temperatures up, so with a stiff breeze and cloud cover the numbers

:25:47. > :25:51.will be pretty good. Seven or eight Celsius, nine here and there.

:25:52. > :25:54.Tomorrow, the first spots of rain will stop to push everywhere.

:25:55. > :25:59.Through breakfast and the rush hour, the rain pushes in. It could be

:26:00. > :26:04.heavily from time to time but it does not last too long. By the time

:26:05. > :26:11.we get to lunchtime, it will be gone. The sun comes out, brighter

:26:12. > :26:15.skies developing into the afternoon. Every now and then, the small chance

:26:16. > :26:19.of a shower but the area of high pressure should kill off many of

:26:20. > :26:24.them. Sunny spells and scattered showers, you will be unlucky if you

:26:25. > :26:28.catch more than 12 showers. But once again, the wind coming from the

:26:29. > :26:38.North West, 2220 files mph along along the coast. -- 20 to 25 mph. It

:26:39. > :26:42.is going to feel cooler and fresher in the afternoon. The sunshine will

:26:43. > :26:46.be there but it will not feel brilliant. It will look OK hand over

:26:47. > :26:47.the next couple of days, lots of dry weather, but temperatures fairly

:26:48. > :26:54.low. There is nothing at all off-putting

:26:55. > :26:57.about having people cheering in your ear!

:26:58. > :27:02.I'm surprised you have walked over in this direction rather than going

:27:03. > :27:07.the other way because Chris Hill is still in the room, and Dianne is

:27:08. > :27:09.desperate to meet him! Stage where you are, Chris!

:27:10. > :27:38.Goodbye. -- stay. There have never been

:27:39. > :27:41.so many people in work -
