:02:48. > :02:51.and of course we want safety, but one functioning women's Hospital

:04:36. > :04:38.The proposed line through that part of Northwich and this counyryside

:04:39. > :04:41.just south of it was shifted to here last November

:04:42. > :04:45.It means people living here who thought they wouldn't be

:04:46. > :04:49.affected have had just a few months to digest the fact that their corner

:04:50. > :04:54.People like Gary - he and his neighbours

:04:55. > :04:57.in Billings Green found out late last year they'd be

:04:58. > :05:05.I hoped I would stay here for a long time,

:05:06. > :05:07.and it's not looking like I'll be able to.

:05:08. > :05:10.It's going to be a lot of uncertainty for a number

:05:11. > :05:15.But today was a chance for Gary to get out and find out more.

:05:16. > :05:18.He was invited to this official consultation event, where questions

:05:19. > :05:24.It just confirmed some of the things I already knew, really.

:05:25. > :05:27.There's still a lot of unanswered questions, and part of the problem

:05:28. > :05:31.is there's so much uncertainty and it's going to go on for years.

:05:32. > :05:33.But with so many people newly affected, there

:05:34. > :05:39.I sympathise with people who are affected by the proposals.

:05:40. > :05:44.What we've tried to do is balance the considerations.

:05:45. > :05:48.Obviously we need to have a safe railway, balanced against

:05:49. > :05:55.We believe that what we've now got represents the best balance.

:05:59. > :06:01.because the railway town will be the only HS2 stop between

:06:02. > :06:16.From where the trains will thunder past the bakery at up to 250 mph.
