:00:53. > :00:57.One neighbour who didn't want to appear on camera told me
:00:58. > :01:00.that he and others in the area had done their best to help.

:01:03. > :01:14.Firefighters rescued a man found unconscious on the stairs.
:01:15. > :01:16.The revived him before he was sent off to hospital.
:01:17. > :01:19.Sadly, two others, a man and woman, were beyond saving.
:01:20. > :01:20.We believe the fire started on the ground
:01:21. > :01:25.Exactly where within that room we don't know.

:02:03. > :02:05.As you can imagine they have gone through a terrible tragic ordeal.
:02:06. > :02:07.They are receiving support from specialist trained officers.
:02:08. > :02:09.It seems that the neighbours in this area pulled together
:02:10. > :02:13.and did their best to help this family to get them out.
:02:14. > :02:18.I would like to play specific tribute to the help they have given.
:02:19. > :02:21.Without that I'm sure the people who are currently receiving
:02:22. > :02:25.treatment in hospital would have received far more serious injuries.
:02:26. > :02:28.Tonight the police appealed for anyone who might have seen
:02:29. > :02:31.anything in the moments leading up to the fire to come forward and help
:02:32. > :02:40.A woman from Lancashire is believed to be the first British woman
