:02:27. > :02:29.But two years ago, it was a very different story,

:02:30. > :02:32.after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

:02:33. > :02:35.Feels like the floor's gone from under you, really.

:02:36. > :02:37.Just feel like your whole world's collapsed.

:02:38. > :02:41.You get that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach,

:02:42. > :02:47.But his life was saved by Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

:02:48. > :02:49.That's our inspiration, really, to try and help and give

:02:50. > :02:52.back in some small way, to thank them for what

:02:53. > :02:57.So how do you thank the people who saved your child's life?

:02:58. > :03:01.Well, raising lots of money for them is always a great start.

:03:02. > :03:04.Over the last two years, the family has raised almost ?10,000

:03:05. > :03:06.by collecting old Christmas trees, like these, in return

:03:07. > :03:13.And this year, they've collected over 300 trees.

:03:14. > :03:20.We are collecting trees to make lots of money for Alder Hey.

:03:21. > :03:26.They hope to raise enough money to pay for a projector

:03:27. > :03:29.to distract young patients before general anaesthetic.

:03:30. > :03:32.It's a great opportunity for people in the local area

:03:33. > :03:39.And this is where they're brought, to Forby Beach, where they're used

:03:40. > :03:41.by the National Trust to prop up the sand dunes.

:03:42. > :03:49.The family say they'll never be able to thank hospital staff enough,

:03:50. > :03:55.but thanks to Alder Hey, the Force is strong with this one.
