:00:28. > :00:30.Robert Chilowa was awoken by the sound of screaming

:00:31. > :00:38.When he ran down the street, he found a house ravaged by fire.

:00:39. > :00:41.The eldest girl had already jumped, but more children were hanging out

:00:42. > :00:43.of the bedroom window as the smoke billowed out.

:00:44. > :00:46.The moment I saw them, I just put my hands out

:00:47. > :00:52.and I reassured them, "Jump, I will hold you," so the boy

:00:53. > :00:59.jumped first and I couldn't hold him there because of the smoke and heat,

:01:04. > :01:12.place and the girl jumped and I put her in a safe place.

:01:18. > :01:19.out of the house are recovering in hospital.

:01:26. > :01:28.They're using specially trained sniffer dogs who can detect

:01:29. > :01:37.accelerants to try and establish how the blaze began.

:01:38. > :01:41.The streets around the property on Parsonage Road remain

:01:42. > :01:43.closed as forensic teams carry out their work and it's

:01:44. > :01:47.an experience that will take some time to sink in for the man

:01:48. > :01:52.I feel happy that, you know, at least I managed to save two lives

:01:53. > :02:01.A fund set up to help care for the children of a terminally ill

:02:02. > :02:04.mum from Wirral has almost reached the half way point

:02:05. > :02:11.Mother-of-three Julie Bennet has cancer and is being cared
