:00:40. > :00:41.of people connected to Clarksfield Primary School

:00:42. > :00:43.in Oldham and claims of a Trojan Horse style plot

:00:44. > :00:46.The Sunday Times reports the head teacher, Patricia O'Donnell,

:00:47. > :00:49.has expresed concerns about her own safety

:00:50. > :00:51.after receiving death threats and aggressive verbal abuse,

:00:52. > :00:54.and that the head teachers' union NAHT is currently supporting

:00:55. > :00:57.a number of members in the Oldham area with a variety of apparent

:00:58. > :01:10.Now, the school was criticised by Ofsted in 2013 for its

:01:11. > :01:21.quotes a confidential report on the views of local authority

:01:22. > :01:23.officers at the time - they claimed a former governor,

:01:24. > :01:25.Nasim Ashraf, and others were "seeking to secure changes

:01:26. > :01:28.to reflect their interpretation of Islam, and were behaving in a way

:01:29. > :01:30.which harassed and sought to intimidate school staff,

:01:31. > :01:34.It is important to add here that the report concluded this

:01:35. > :01:37.did not constitute a Trojan plot and that Mr Ashraf was not

:01:38. > :01:39.an extremist and was not found to have intimidated anyone.

:01:40. > :01:42.You spoke to Mr Ashraf today - what did he tell you?

:01:43. > :01:46.He stated categorically that he had nothing to do with any Trojan Horse

:01:47. > :01:48.plot against the head teacher and had only got involved in

:01:49. > :01:51.the school to improve it because of his Muslim beliefs.

:01:52. > :01:53.Mr Ashraf is known locally for his charity work and said

:01:54. > :01:57.he was concerend about the damage this could do to his reputation

:01:58. > :02:08.They said they take allegations of this kind very seriously

:02:09. > :02:25.We were not able to contact the head teacher or her union

:02:26. > :02:28.or the current chair of governors, but I'm told that a number of people

:02:29. > :02:31.connected with this story will be making a comment in the coming days.

:02:32. > :02:34.Hundreds of police investigations are being reviewed, after two men

:02:35. > :02:36.who work at a forensic science lab in Manchester were arrested

:02:37. > :02:38.on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

:02:39. > :02:40.Randox Testing Services in Blackley provides drug

:02:41. > :02:43.and alcohol tests for police forces across the UK.

:02:44. > :02:46.The company has been working with Greater Manchester

:02:47. > :02:51.It said the investigation centred on the manipulation of data,

:02:52. > :02:53.rather than any tampering with actual tests.

:02:54. > :02:56.Six people have been treated by paramedics after a fire
