:00:30. > :00:34.were deployed here to Queens Park in Bolton just after 10:20am this

:00:35. > :00:39.morning after reports that six pit bull-type dogs were dangerously

:00:40. > :00:44.out of control and that at least two people had been attacked.

:00:45. > :00:47.In the operation that followed, two dogs were seized

:00:48. > :00:49.and another two dogs were shot dead

:00:50. > :00:51.just a short distance away from here.

:00:52. > :00:55.All of this happened in front of witnesses.

:00:56. > :00:59.I thought maybe they are looking for somebody else,

:01:00. > :01:06.So somebody told me, they shoot the dogs.

:01:07. > :01:12.the police didn't have any choice

:01:13. > :01:18.Police say a woman was bitten on the hand

:01:19. > :01:21.and a man was also injured on the leg.

:01:22. > :01:25.They also add that a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion

:01:26. > :01:27.of affray and allowing a dog to be dangerously

:01:28. > :01:34.The pit bull is one of a number of breeds banned

:01:35. > :01:46.In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said today...

:01:47. > :01:57.People are advising people not to approach the animal.

:01:58. > :01:59.Detectives in Merseyside are questioning three teenagers

:02:00. > :02:03.after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in St Helens on Friday night.

:02:04. > :02:07.The victim was knifed on Parr Stocks Road.

:02:08. > :02:09.The three aged 19, 18 and 16 have been arrested

:02:10. > :02:16.The victim's condition is described as stable.

:02:17. > :02:19.Runners from across the region have taken part in the Liverpool Half

:02:20. > :02:22.and the Greater Manchester Marathons today.

:02:23. > :02:26.But two competitors were given quite a surprise this afternoon

:03:40. > :03:42.are attempting to bounce into the Guiness World Record books

:03:43. > :03:45.to raise money to expand their Bromborough respite centre.

:03:46. > :03:49.They aim to trampoline continuously for 25 hours.

:03:50. > :03:53.They started at midday and by the time they're finished

:03:54. > :03:54.tomorrow, it's estimated they will have bounced

:03:55. > :04:01.That's the equivalent of reaching Everest five times over.

:04:02. > :04:08.with plenty of pleasant spells of sunshine.

:04:09. > :04:10.There's been quite a lot of cloud around and

:04:11. > :04:13.that's a theme we'll keep as we head through this week.

:04:14. > :04:15.But for tonight, clear spells to begin with so

:04:16. > :04:20.Further inland, we'll see our temperatures falling away

:04:21. > :04:23.but at the coast, they manage to stay a little bit higher.

:04:24. > :04:26.We could get a touch of frost in some sheltered spots.

:04:27. > :04:28.For tomorrow, high pressure still largely in control of things

:04:29. > :04:30.so keeping things nice and settled but this rain band,

:04:31. > :04:32.this is going to bring with it

:04:33. > :04:34.some cloud and some rain later in the day

:04:35. > :04:38.Lots of lovely sunshine through the day with light winds.

:04:39. > :04:41.Then that cloud starts to thicken up before the rain

:04:42. > :04:43.arrives in the Isle of Man by about lunchtime.

:04:44. > :04:46.Temperatures up to around 14 Celsius.

:04:47. > :04:53.Staying settled though for the remainder of the week.
