:00:55. > :01:00.This weekend, Greater Manchester Police took 31 calls about people
:01:01. > :01:08.14 of them had collapsed and needed an ambulance.
:01:09. > :01:10.On this glorious day here in Piccadilly Gardens,
:01:11. > :01:13.shoppers are being entertained, but, at the same time,
:01:14. > :01:16.police are out here and there's quite a presence.
:01:17. > :01:19.It's because Piccadilly Gardens has been quite a problem area when it
:01:20. > :01:25.Over this weekend, police have had special extra patrols on here,
:01:26. > :01:29.and have revealed they've made a number of arrests
:01:30. > :01:32.Police say their focus is on dealers of Spice,
:01:33. > :01:36.but they'll continue to tackle all anti-social users of the drug.

:02:59. > :03:03.and generally they don't take their litter home with them.
:03:04. > :03:05.That is the bane of your life, isn't it?
:03:06. > :03:08.As with other beach cleans across the region,
:03:09. > :03:09.there's been no shortage of volunteers.
:03:10. > :03:12.I was surprised by how much rubbish people discard.
:03:13. > :03:18.Yeah, yeah, bottles and sweet wrappers.
:03:19. > :03:20.There's plenty of bins along the coast line,
:03:21. > :03:23.but you know what it's like - families are at the beach
:03:24. > :03:27.And that, say local action groups, means an ongoing
:03:28. > :03:34.By reducing all of the plastic and the waste, it's safer for people
:03:35. > :03:36.to go out in the sea, which is also good for
:03:37. > :03:39.the marine life and animals, because they are dying
:03:40. > :03:41.It is killing thousands, hundreds of thousands
:03:42. > :03:47.Well, the volunteers have been cleaning the beach here now
:03:48. > :03:51.and this is what they've come back with -
