:00:14. > :00:15.Good evening. news where you are.

:00:16. > :00:18.Police are searching a block of flats in Bristol in connection

:00:19. > :00:20.with a man who was found dead on Christmas Eve.

:00:21. > :00:22.Mohammed Abduerezak suffered multiple stab wounds.

:00:23. > :00:24.The 31 year old, who friends say was an asylum seeker,

:00:25. > :00:27.was found in the village of Siston in South Gloucestershire.

:00:28. > :00:35.And the communal bins outside these flats in Bristol.

:00:36. > :00:42.Dumped by a roadside in the days before Christmas.

:00:43. > :00:46.Police say Mohammed Abdurezak died from multiple stab wounds.

:00:47. > :00:49.He was discovered in the village of Siston on Christmas Eve.

:00:50. > :00:54.But officers believe he was killed elsewhere.

:00:55. > :00:56.This morning on a housing estate in Bristol, several police vans

:00:57. > :01:00.converged on these flats and taped off the area.

:01:01. > :01:06.A shock to those living nearby. So far no weapon's been found.

:01:07. > :01:12.There has been quite a bit of activity with the police fans, but

:01:13. > :01:17.no one knew what was going on. It is a nice place to live. Well

:01:18. > :01:20.maintained, well looked after. No trouble as far as I know. So far no

:01:21. > :01:22.weapon has been found. It's believed Mr

:01:23. > :01:32.Abdurezek lived here. Several police vans arrived here

:01:33. > :01:35.today and they have been searching, not just in, but outside over the

:01:36. > :01:40.past few hours. They are looking through the bins, we do not know

:01:41. > :01:43.what they are looking for but we know that when the body was

:01:44. > :01:44.discovered, there was no wallet and also his mobile phone was missing as

:01:45. > :01:46.well. This picture shows him

:01:47. > :01:48.in October before running He was also keen on football

:01:49. > :01:51.and a friend described him as a joyful character

:01:52. > :01:53.who was seeking positive Rest in peace Mo.' Police

:01:54. > :02:05.are working to trace his missing personal belongings and piece

:02:06. > :02:06.together what happened A fund set-up to help a scaffolder

:02:07. > :02:12.from Somerset who was badly injured following an electric shock has

:02:13. > :02:16.exceeded its target. Jamie Mines had to have a leg

:02:17. > :02:19.and hand amputated after the incident in Swindon just before

:02:20. > :02:25.Christmas. A GoFundMe page has raised more

:02:26. > :02:27.than twenty one thousand pounds. The Health and Safety

:02:28. > :02:31.Executive is investigating. There's a call for more people

:02:32. > :02:34.in the region to give blood Filton in Bristol is home

:02:35. > :02:37.to the biggest blood More people miss their appointments

:02:38. > :02:43.at this time of year so they need A couple from Wiltshire are taking

:02:44. > :02:49.on an aviation challenge that's Julian Midder and Sarah Brown

:02:50. > :02:54.are going to fly the Paris to Dakar Rally route

:02:55. > :02:57.in a microlight. If they make it, they'll

:02:58. > :02:59.set a new world record. Here's our Wiltshire

:03:00. > :03:04.Reporter Will Glennon. They regularly are seen

:03:05. > :03:06.in the skies over the West, but how about flying thousands

:03:07. > :03:11.of miles in a microlight? Julian is an instructor

:03:12. > :03:14.at Membury Airfield and his partner is Sarah, known as Jez,

:03:15. > :03:20.also a qualified pilot. They want to take on the Paris

:03:21. > :03:26.to Dakar Rally route. It is going to take us to parts

:03:27. > :03:31.of the world we have never been to and it will stretch our flying

:03:32. > :03:34.experience into new ways. Microlights look like small planes,

:03:35. > :03:36.but the wings are essentially made of thick fabric,

:03:37. > :03:39.the panels are extremely thin The couple will take off

:03:40. > :03:49.from Wiltshire, flying down through France and Spain and then

:03:50. > :03:52.across to Africa, to Morocco, western Sahara and Mauritania

:03:53. > :03:56.to Dakar in Senegal. The terrain will be

:03:57. > :03:58.remote and inhospitable It is called the Skeleton Coast,

:03:59. > :04:05.there are literally miles where the Sahara desert goes

:04:06. > :04:07.straight into the Atlantic Ocean We are a very long

:04:08. > :04:12.way away from help. There's really not much

:04:13. > :04:18.between you and the outside world. Microlights do not have

:04:19. > :04:19.complex instruments, Bad weather, even the cloud

:04:20. > :04:27.can force you down. This is a little cockleshell

:04:28. > :04:30.of a plane and if that changes, if it gets windier or it looks

:04:31. > :04:33.like there might be rain to content with, we effectively

:04:34. > :04:35.have to fly around it, Julian and Jezz hope to raise money

:04:36. > :04:42.for the charity WaterAid but before that they still need about ?10,000

:04:43. > :04:46.in sponsorship to cover costs. They are hoping to set off

:04:47. > :04:50.sometime next spring. Will Glennon, BBC

:04:51. > :04:55.Points West, at Membury. Football now and four

:04:56. > :04:57.of our teams play tonight. In the championship Bristol City

:04:58. > :05:01.are away at Ipswich. In league One, Swindon

:05:02. > :05:02.take on MK Dons. League Two Cheltenham host

:05:03. > :05:04.Wycombe Wanderers and Yeovil Now as the end of the year

:05:05. > :05:17.approaches, keepers at Bristol Zoo have been busy counting

:05:18. > :05:18.all the animals. The annual census

:05:19. > :05:20.revealed they have 14,200 One of the biggest challenges was

:05:21. > :05:25.working out what's in the aquarium! The count helps the zoo keep

:05:26. > :05:27.track of species that Well, the keepers know their animals

:05:28. > :05:36.very well and for animals like meerkats, we know we have got

:05:37. > :05:38.ten animals in here, and it is something

:05:39. > :05:42.that is easy to do. Seven gorillas, three pygmy hippos,

:05:43. > :05:45.but when it comes to big colonies of leaf-cutter ants or spiny mice,

:05:46. > :05:47.something like that, or bees or something, then of course

:05:48. > :05:54.it is much more difficult. To help stay on top of things

:05:55. > :05:57.the zoo also keeps a daily Let's get the weekend weather

:05:58. > :06:12.forecast now with Ian. Thank you. Met Office provisional

:06:13. > :06:18.figures suggest that 26 team will be the warmest year on record for the

:06:19. > :06:23.UK going back to 1910. We will start 2017 on a decidedly cold note, but

:06:24. > :06:27.prior to them, through the course of tomorrow, it will be a fairly mild

:06:28. > :06:31.day, it is looking dry or thereabouts but by the time we get

:06:32. > :06:34.to midnight and into New Year's Day, there might be some rain around but

:06:35. > :06:44.most of the rain will arrive in the early hours and it is behind that

:06:45. > :06:47.that we find colder air appearing from the North, quite quickly. Here

:06:48. > :06:49.is a wider look at how the story unfolds. A warning for fall, not as

:06:50. > :06:52.extensive as this morning. You will notice the cold front running

:06:53. > :06:56.southwards, through late tomorrow night and in comes the colder air

:06:57. > :07:00.which we can trace all the way back up to the Arctic Circle. For

:07:01. > :07:08.tonight, temperatures should remain frost free. There will be fog

:07:09. > :07:11.around, quite dense in places, watch out for that tomorrow morning,

:07:12. > :07:15.particularly in parts of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. When that

:07:16. > :07:19.clears, we will have generally a lot of cloud, some brighter spells, it

:07:20. > :07:23.will remain dry in the South West until we get laid into the evening,

:07:24. > :07:30.approaching midnight, in comes the cold front. -- late into the

:07:31. > :07:36.evening. Most of the rain holding off until the early hours of Sunday.

:07:37. > :07:40.Temperatures will be fairly mild, between nine and 10 degrees, but

:07:41. > :07:44.watch the change as we head into New Year's Day and I think it will be

:07:45. > :07:46.even colder as we head into Monday. That visit from me.

:07:47. > :07:49.I'm back with an update in the late news.

:07:50. > :08:15.Good evening, fog has been a problem in recent days, slow changes over

:08:16. > :08:20.the next 48 hours or so as this weather front moves south bringing

:08:21. > :08:21.rain and behind it, much cleaner, cold arctic air which will sweep

:08:22. > :08:23.that
