:02:31. > :02:34.doing this social media and I spend four or five hours a day
:02:35. > :02:36.just thanking everybody. Facebook has played a massive part

:03:15. > :03:27.do now is search. They'll be back out tomorrow
:03:28. > :03:31.leafleting in the area We did the CCTV, we pointed him out
:03:32. > :03:35.so we can narrow down. We know what he was wearing
:03:36. > :03:38.so they can narrow down the search. We have CCTV of him leaving
:03:39. > :03:41.the club, turning right about 4:30am and that's the last we've got
:03:42. > :03:43.at the moment. They are still working on that

:05:21. > :05:22.in the Scilly Isles but there was never a criminal investigation.
:05:23. > :05:25.But now the coroner has ordered the police
:05:26. > :05:41.Before I take my last breath, we will know what happened to my boy
:05:42. > :05:43.without a shadow of the doubt. We will find out and we will get
:05:44. > :05:45.justice for Josh. The final resting
:05:46. > :05:47.place of Josh Clayton. But was his death just a terrible
:05:48. > :05:52.accident or was he murdered? I believe it was done through
:05:53. > :05:58.third-party involvement. His family have now spent the best
:05:59. > :06:01.part of ?70,000 trying They are convinced
:06:02. > :06:12.the police got it wrong. I have had a meeting with Devon and
:06:13. > :06:18.Cornwall police, a senior officer who has assured me he will be
:06:19. > :06:24.reviewing and hopefully will look for any gaps that happened
:06:25. > :06:28.throughout the investigation. It definitely wasn't an accident. I
:06:29. > :06:31.thought it from day one and still believe it now.
:06:32. > :06:34.When police on the Isles of Scilly found the body of Josh Clayton 16

:06:42. > :06:44.Last week an inquest into his death was dramatically halted
:06:45. > :06:50.This man Leroy Thomas told the hearing that he'd witnessed Josh
:06:51. > :06:53.arguing with a group of men after leaving the party.
:06:54. > :06:57.The coroner said the police needed to reinvestigate.
:06:58. > :07:02.Which has given his family some hope.
:07:03. > :07:05.Up until now they've been asking for a new force to take
:07:06. > :07:18.They just had tunnel vision as far as they were concerned. He was a
:07:19. > :07:19.drugged up drunk that had been washed out to sea and didn't think
:07:20. > :07:36.of anything else. The family say they want the truth
:07:37. > :07:43.and will not stop until they get it. As a family, we can't. There is a
:07:44. > :07:47.broken arm in our family and we want to know the reasons why.
:07:48. > :07:49.A little earlier the former Chief Constable of Gloucestershire,
:07:50. > :07:50.Dr Tim Brain, told me just how unusual it is for an inquest to be
:07:51. > :08:03.It is not unusual for inquests to be adjourned. Normally because the
:08:04. > :08:07.inquest is formally convened, police officers attend to give evidence and
:08:08. > :08:12.they ask for more time to complete the inquiry. Best is a standard
:08:13. > :08:18.process. It is unusual to get into the hearing of the inquest and get
:08:19. > :08:23.some days into it and pours in for the coroner to say new evidence has
:08:24. > :08:28.come to light, go back and find out what is going on here. This happened
:08:29. > :08:32.16 months ago so what are the chances of the evidence being fresh?
:08:33. > :08:37.Devon Malcolm police will have to go back to the witness who has added
:08:38. > :08:40.this new information at a late stage and interview him again and see
:08:41. > :08:46.whether he has something different to say in writing and how that
:08:47. > :09:00.differs from the account. It seems to differ. There was a party and
:09:01. > :09:10.there are people at that party. They may want to interview them again
:09:11. > :09:14.they will have to sift through the connections and that is what police
:09:15. > :09:19.are there to do and they have the facilities to do it. There was
:09:20. > :09:26.famously no crime there and people leave their doors open and about.
:09:27. > :09:30.Will be expertise have been taken seriously? There would have been a
:09:31. > :09:39.difficulty in understanding what this incident was. It was only later
:09:40. > :09:46.when the body turned up that they had a certain death to explain and
:09:47. > :09:51.they have treated it on the evidence they have got not as a suspicious
:09:52. > :09:55.death. Those steps that you would go through normally in an inquiry and I
:09:56. > :10:00.guess the fact that you have quite a few miles between the mainland and
:10:01. > :10:03.the islands making it logistically difficult, Devon, have a wide
:10:04. > :10:11.responsibility for a large force area and they have the equipment to
:10:12. > :10:14.deal with these incidents. You. -- thank you.
:10:15. > :10:16.It's David and Alex with you on this Monday evening.
:10:17. > :10:18.Thank you for starting your week with us.
:10:19. > :10:21.Stay tuned, we've got lots more still ahead before
:10:22. > :10:22.we leave you at seven, including...
:10:23. > :10:31.Join me as Prince Harry joins recovering servicemen in Wiltshire
:10:32. > :10:35.and why they have built this Iron Age roundhouse. We have a Met Office
:10:36. > :10:37.warning for fog through tonight and it do tomorrow morning. Some of it
:10:38. > :10:44.is dense in places. But first, we've been looking
:10:45. > :10:50.into allegations of historical child sexual abuse in football
:10:51. > :10:52.here in the West. Last week the National Police
:10:53. > :10:55.Chief's Council revealed number of alleged victims nationally now
:10:56. > :10:58.stands at 526, with 184 On Tonight's BBC Inside Out West,
:10:59. > :11:07.Geoff Twentyman investigates claims made by three football players
:11:08. > :11:15.from the West against Bob Higgins, who ran a youth academy
:11:16. > :11:18.near Bath in the 1980s. Earlier I asked Geoff's
:11:19. > :11:34.about the allegations. Bob Higgins was the man in charge.
:11:35. > :11:45.He was the youth development officer.
:11:46. > :11:56.A this is how it works. It was in Southampton and they allege Bob
:11:57. > :12:10.Higgins put pressure on him to stay at his house.
:12:11. > :12:13.Bob was there, the really bizarre thing is he's got two young boys sat
:12:14. > :12:20.He's got one leg across his front and one across his back.
:12:21. > :12:24.Again at my age, 12 or 13 at the time, I just accepted it
:12:25. > :12:26.for being a that's what you do sort of thing.
:12:27. > :12:29.I went and sat down on the floor and cuddled into his
:12:30. > :12:33.He did ask me to sit on his lap, which is not
:12:34. > :12:38.So Geoff what else do you find out in this programme?
:12:39. > :12:41.Well, all three of them tell me that as boys they were ordered
:12:42. > :12:44.to take part in naked soap and water massages.
:12:45. > :12:45.Here's what Jason Upshall, from Street in Somerset,
:12:46. > :12:50.tells me about an incident at the Gothia Cup in Sweden in 1988.
:12:51. > :12:59.We were told, get naked, one of your fellow man will do one leg and your
:13:00. > :13:04.team-mates will do the other. I didn't feel comfortable. I said I
:13:05. > :13:09.wasn't doing it. I left the area and he followed me down and said this is
:13:10. > :13:17.about team-building, bonding and relief forcibly told me to get back
:13:18. > :13:23.up there and do it. Dean Radford alleges that when on a car journey,
:13:24. > :13:29.he would touch him going to and from football. I remember one day driving
:13:30. > :13:35.along and he got my head and put my head down in his lap and for an hour
:13:36. > :13:42.and a half, drove with his head -- with my head in his left. It smells
:13:43. > :13:47.-- it is gross but there was the smell of your written through his
:13:48. > :13:55.trousers. It is graphic I know but it is disgusting. It is important to
:13:56. > :14:00.say that Inside Out West have put these allegations to Mr Higgins but
:14:01. > :14:06.he has not responded. He has always denied wrongdoing. The
:14:07. > :14:12.investigations is one of the stories to feature on Inside Out West. They
:14:13. > :14:14.will be looking at the role Bristol played in Kenny Everett's lie. That
:14:15. > :14:22.is here tonight at 7:30pm. Prince Harry has been in Wiltshire
:14:23. > :14:24.today to see how former members of the Armed Forces are being helped
:14:25. > :14:27.with their mental health. The Prince spent the afternoon
:14:28. > :14:29.at the Help For Heroes Recovery Centre in Tidworth,
:14:30. > :14:31.which supports ex-service personnel and their families
:14:32. > :14:33.who are living with anxiety, depression or stress. Our
:14:34. > :14:46.Wiltshire reporter No stranger to Help For Heroes
:14:47. > :14:50.Recovery Centre. He came to learn about the field of mental health.
:14:51. > :14:57.They call it the hidden wound service where men and women, injured
:14:58. > :15:00.or not, find themselves dealing with depression, stress, anxiety,
:15:01. > :15:06.sometimes turning to alcohol. The service has already helped over 1000
:15:07. > :15:12.people. There is a risk that people get used to experiencing low mood
:15:13. > :15:16.and anxiety and think they don't need that to sport. The more we can
:15:17. > :15:21.raise awareness and say there is things we can do, we can help you,
:15:22. > :15:25.if you can recognise those symptoms in yourself. He was shown the things
:15:26. > :15:31.they do come introduced to people they have helped. He talked to
:15:32. > :15:34.people who have had a tough time and in the process of rebuilding
:15:35. > :15:39.themselves. They found lots of ways to help people stop here they are
:15:40. > :15:43.building an Iron Age roundhouse and it gives them space to think but
:15:44. > :15:49.also there in the outdoors and using tools, using their hands and working
:15:50. > :15:53.as part of a team. For former servicemen, that can sometimes be
:15:54. > :15:58.just what they need. I've got physical and mental issues that I
:15:59. > :16:04.need to address. I am no longer the person I was. It is very therapeutic
:16:05. > :16:09.environment and we enjoyed being out and enjoy the company of our
:16:10. > :16:14.comrades learning new skills and defining ourselves by what we can do
:16:15. > :16:20.but not what we can do because of our injuries. Of my friends are
:16:21. > :16:25.still battling through what they need to but they haven't pointed in
:16:26. > :16:30.the direction of here like myself. It is invaluable. With Prince Harry
:16:31. > :16:34.highlighting the issue, Help For Heroes helps to remove any stigma of
:16:35. > :16:40.mental health problems. Service personnel know they can find the
:16:41. > :16:45.help they need to heal and not just the injuries you can see.
:16:46. > :16:48.Two friends of a student who is blind, have designed
:16:49. > :16:52.a unique map to help him find his way around college.
:16:53. > :16:55.Elliott Roberts goes to the National Star College
:16:56. > :17:09.He's using a special 3D printed map that helps him feel where he is.
:17:10. > :17:11.His friends hope it'll help make Elliott more independent.
:17:12. > :17:12.Here's our Gloucestershire reporter, Steve Knibbs.
:17:13. > :17:15.Elliott needs help to make even a short journey from A to B.
:17:16. > :17:18.He's blind and has limited sensitivity so can't read braille -
:17:19. > :17:20.he also finds it difficult to remember his way around.
:17:21. > :17:23.So his friends at college decided to make him a map,
:17:24. > :17:31.Using a 3D printer they've created tactile map of his
:17:32. > :17:36.With different shaped raised areas represent different rooms,
:17:37. > :17:43.And it's ultimate aim is to help Elliott achieve something that
:17:44. > :17:52.I can be more independent when I leave college.
:17:53. > :17:56.The map has gone through several designs - with feedback from Elliott
:17:57. > :18:09.There is quite a lot of failures we have had along the way and their
:18:10. > :18:13.students have made a lot of changes through Elliott's guidance so he can
:18:14. > :18:15.recognise certain rooms and certain shapes and feel the doorways,
:18:16. > :18:19.different bumps along the way. It's thought that this might be
:18:20. > :18:22.the first time a 3D map has been And something Elliott's friends
:18:23. > :18:34.feel rightly proud of. I am really excited about the
:18:35. > :18:41.project and I can help others. Happy it is being used and hard work has
:18:42. > :18:45.paid off. We hope it will make his life a bit more easier.
:18:46. > :18:47.The students are so pleased with their idea that they're taking
:18:48. > :18:50.it to a big educational technology exhibition in London this week.
:18:51. > :18:57.To maybe help others like Elliott to really feel their way around.
:18:58. > :19:02.Bristol City's head coach Lee Johnson says he's ashamed
:19:03. > :19:07.Their latest defeat set an unwanted club record.
:19:08. > :19:12.Our sports editor Alistair Durden is here - how bad has it got?
:19:13. > :19:16.Eight league defeats in a row - the worst run in City's history.
:19:17. > :19:21.Growing discontent amongst the supporters.
:19:22. > :19:24.What does this all mean for head coach Lee Johnson.
:19:25. > :19:27.Only one man can really answer that - owner Stephen Lansdown,
:19:28. > :19:44.Eight defeats is not what we want. I am not happy with that and don't
:19:45. > :19:50.expect any supporter or anyone associated with the club is either.
:19:51. > :19:56.We have to turn it around and I'm looking to the management team and
:19:57. > :20:03.players to do that for us. Is his job face? I will not discuss that as
:20:04. > :20:08.I do not discuss this in the public media. He has my full support of the
:20:09. > :20:14.board and my support and the support of the majority of the supporters
:20:15. > :20:18.and the players. We look forward to turning the situation around and
:20:19. > :20:24.climbing back up the league. Dursley need to get something from the next
:20:25. > :20:33.two home games, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham? -- does Lee. We need
:20:34. > :20:37.to get points quickly to restore the confidence of the supporters and the
:20:38. > :20:42.players because they will be filling it as well. It is not going the way
:20:43. > :20:47.they wanted to. We have brought in some very good players who have
:20:48. > :20:51.played at high level and have got that experience and can help the
:20:52. > :20:54.younger ones through. I don't feel panicked situation here. I feel
:20:55. > :20:58.disappointed that we have been using these games by the odd goal and I'm
:20:59. > :21:02.not trying to kid anybody. We need to win games and win them quickly.
:21:03. > :21:08.You have confidence you have a good squad of players. What has gone
:21:09. > :21:12.wrong? Some of these games, we think we have got them and they slip away.
:21:13. > :21:19.When you are struggling, it is difficult to turn it around. I feel
:21:20. > :21:22.very confident that we have the right infrastructure in the club and
:21:23. > :21:26.the right playing staff and management staff to make that
:21:27. > :21:32.happen. Have you got a message that the supporters who have perhaps lost
:21:33. > :21:37.faith? I understand the frustration. I hate people -- hate losing
:21:38. > :21:42.football matches. You could be pushing for the top six but we are
:21:43. > :21:47.not. What I would ask everybody to do is all the frustration they are
:21:48. > :21:51.suffering, gather it together, turn it into strong support for the
:21:52. > :21:58.management, players and help us turn it around. We need to get behind the
:21:59. > :22:03.team. Don't let anything sway us from doing that and work harder
:22:04. > :22:08.together to get the results we need. They have an FA Cup game on Saturday
:22:09. > :22:13.and that is a free hit. No one expects them to win that. Two home
:22:14. > :22:18.league games against Sheffield Wednesday a week tomorrow and bottom
:22:19. > :22:22.club rather on Saturday after that. You feel they have to get something
:22:23. > :22:25.from that. Lee Johnson will need something.
:22:26. > :22:32.Leah Johnson has his full support. Things can change. Thank you.
