:03:20. > :03:22.When it was built 251 years ago the Bristol Old Vic theatre

:03:23. > :03:26.But now, for the very first time the outside wall can

:03:27. > :03:30.It's all part of demolition work taking plae as part of a 25 million

:03:31. > :03:35.pound refurbishment project Lee Madan reports.

:03:36. > :03:38.After years of fundraising and months of demolition work

:03:39. > :03:40.knocking down the building that blocks it from view.

:03:41. > :03:43.The Bristol Old Vic now stands exposed.

:03:44. > :03:48.Behind us you can now see the original theatre wall.

:03:49. > :03:54.When it was first built, it was hidden behind two houses

:03:55. > :03:57.which stood here on King Street, owned by a Mr Foot and a Mr Gill.

:03:58. > :04:02.If you wanted to get to the theatre, you had to knock on the door and ask

:04:03. > :04:05.Depending who you ask, it was either because it was really

:04:06. > :04:12.helpful to hide the theatre, because it was quite a secretive,

:04:13. > :04:15.quite polemic activity to put to put theatre on,

:04:16. > :04:19.and maybe it was just a bit of land that was available and they took

:04:20. > :04:23.Either way, without Mr Foot and Mr Gill's cooperation

:04:24. > :04:25.there would never have been in Old Vic.

:04:26. > :04:27.Their houses have been be placed several times over the years,

:04:28. > :04:32.meaning that the theatre itself has stayed hidden - until now.

:04:33. > :04:35.But, despite the many rebuilds, parts of Mr Foot's house remain

:04:36. > :04:40.We're finding little bits of his house still in existence actually,

:04:41. > :04:42.because even though much of the 18th-century fabric was taken

:04:43. > :04:45.down in the early 20th century, and of course, it's all gone again

:04:46. > :04:49.We found a fireplace, bits of brickwork from his house,

:04:50. > :04:51.so we're trying to bring his character alive again.

:04:52. > :04:54.Maybe when people become and visit here next year when we're reopened,

:04:55. > :04:57.we'll be able to tell the story of Mr Foot a little bit.

:04:58. > :05:01.Not all of the money for this multi-million pound rebuild

:05:02. > :05:08.The public will be asked to contribute to the final push

:05:09. > :05:11.with donations this autumn, then the building work is due to be

:05:12. > :05:22.To football and all of our local sides played today.

:05:44. > :05:46.And in the National League Forest, Green Rovers bid for promotion

:05:47. > :05:55.was not helped by a 2-0 defeat by bottom of the table Southport.

:05:56. > :05:57.Now, just before the weather, many of you may been looking

:05:58. > :06:00.for the Easter bunny and eggs this weekend but there've been

:06:01. > :06:01.reports of something very different in Somerset.

:06:02. > :06:05.This photo of what looks like a big cat was taken on the Quantocks

:06:06. > :06:14.They managed to get this snap before it disappeared.

:06:15. > :06:19.Well, we did see a little bit of sunshine today,

:06:20. > :06:21.but for most of us it has been largely cloudy.

:06:22. > :06:24.I think as we head through the week, we should see a bit more sunshine.

:06:25. > :06:27.We've got a few showers out there, but they are tending

:06:28. > :06:29.to clear and they've been very isolated today.

:06:30. > :06:31.As we go to tonight, skies will clear and, actually,

:06:32. > :06:36.We got light winds and we could even get temperatures temperatures

:06:37. > :06:39.a little bit lower than this in sheltered rural spots.

:06:40. > :06:41.So, do be prepared for a touch of frost first thing tomorrow.

:06:42. > :06:44.But, it's going to be a beautiful day, dry and bright,

:06:45. > :06:46.a lot of sunshine, almost unbroken for many of us.

:06:47. > :06:49.We might see a bit of fair-weather cloud builing

:06:50. > :06:52.Light winds again, and I think in the sunshine, one

:06:53. > :06:54.or two spots could hit 14, perhaps even 15 degrees.

:06:55. > :06:57.So, it's staying rather settled as we head through this week and,

:06:58. > :06:59.actually, there is very little rain in the forecast.

:07:00. > :07:03.I think on Wednesday we'll see a widespread and quite severe frost,

:07:04. > :07:07.temperatures could well dip below freezing in some rural spots.

:07:08. > :07:09.By day, a lot of sunshine, light winds.

:07:10. > :07:12.We'll see a little bit more cloud pushing in towards the tail end

:07:13. > :07:15.of the week, so perhaps not as cold overnight and temperatures

:07:16. > :07:28.Gosh, I thought we had seen the last of the frost. That's all for the

:07:29. > :07:42.moment, we'll be back later with another date. By my.

:07:43. > :07:49.Hopefully you managed to enjoy some good weather this Easter. It has not

:07:50. > :07:54.been ideal but it has not been that bad. Pretty cold tonight. Sharp

:07:55. > :07:57.frost on the way in role areas and across northern parts. The skies are

:07:58. > :08:08.not clear just yet but they are starting to clear. By the end of the

:08:09. > :08:15.night, those temperatures will tumble across Scotland, maybe as low

:08:16. > :08:19.minus eight. No surprise this time of the year. We do get frost, but

:08:20. > :08:25.this could be even damaging. Tomorrow morning, it is looking

:08:26. > :08:28.sunny for most of us but the wind is light in the sun will be out. A

:08:29. > :08:29.beautiful day
