0:00:09 > 0:00:12Good evening from Points West.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15More than 500 people had to be moved on by the police

0:00:15 > 0:00:16over the Easter weekend,

0:00:16 > 0:00:18as two illegal raves took place in Wiltshire.

0:00:18 > 0:00:22On Saturday night, officers seized sound equipment at Quebec Farm

0:00:22 > 0:00:25at Chitterne, on the edge of Salisbury Plain,

0:00:25 > 0:00:28and were then called to another event 15 miles away, the next day.

0:00:28 > 0:00:30Andy Howard has this report.

0:00:30 > 0:00:32Another bank holiday weekend, another illegal rave

0:00:32 > 0:00:35near Salisbury Plain.

0:00:35 > 0:00:40This old farm shed was turned into a remote nightclub.

0:00:40 > 0:00:43About 500 to 1,000 people crammed into here on Saturday night

0:00:43 > 0:00:46and this is what's left today - bags of alcohol, broken glass on the

0:00:46 > 0:00:53floor, there is even a tent left from someone's Easter weekend.

0:00:53 > 0:00:57Today, when we were filming, one late-night raver came back,

0:00:57 > 0:00:59with fond memories.

0:00:59 > 0:01:00It was amazing, really.

0:01:00 > 0:01:02Everyone having fun, everyone chilled out, loved up.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05There's fighting in town centres, brawling with people,

0:01:05 > 0:01:07but when you come to a party like this they

0:01:07 > 0:01:11are all from different walks of life and it's all happy and fun, and then

0:01:11 > 0:01:13you go home and get back to your normal day jobs.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16But it all makes the day job more of a night shift

0:01:16 > 0:01:17for the neighbouring farmers.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20Yeah, they were coming across the field, right across the farm.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22Any which way they could.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24Jane and her staff were up all night.

0:01:24 > 0:01:28Police were called to stop the hundreds turning into thousands.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31The Force helicopter flew above the farm.

0:01:31 > 0:01:34We had cattle in this field which are now

0:01:34 > 0:01:37in the shed because the fence is broken, there and at the other end,

0:01:37 > 0:01:39where, obviously, people just went through.

0:01:39 > 0:01:44This all brings back memories of 2009, when 4000 turned up

0:01:44 > 0:01:48here for a similar party.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Anger.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Just real anger and the adrenaline was just rushing

0:01:52 > 0:01:54because I was so angry at just...

0:01:54 > 0:01:57The sheer recklessness of it all.

0:01:57 > 0:02:00They just do not understand the damage they can cause

0:02:00 > 0:02:01when they are en masse.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04And they just think they have the right to just go anywhere

0:02:04 > 0:02:06they like and do what they like.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Things like that shouldn't really be happening.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11People should have a bit more respect when they are coming down

0:02:11 > 0:02:12these sort of places.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14But I think it's everyone trying to get

0:02:14 > 0:02:17there, and once you're trying to get back and you've had your parties

0:02:17 > 0:02:20and things, trying to find your way home, you just stumble

0:02:20 > 0:02:21across everywhere.

0:02:21 > 0:02:23But I don't think it is at all done deliberately.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25But with a second illegal rave just 15 miles away

0:02:25 > 0:02:28near Amesbury the following day, it's been quite an Easter weekend

0:02:28 > 0:02:31for the farmers and villagers around the Salisbury Plain.

0:02:31 > 0:02:35Andy Howard, BBC Points West.

0:02:35 > 0:02:39A cash machine has been stolen from inside a supermarket in Malmesbury.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42Thieves broke into the town's Waitrose store sometime

0:02:42 > 0:02:47between Saturday and Sunday - it's thought a vehicle was used

0:02:47 > 0:02:49to take away the cash machine, after windows were smashed to get

0:02:49 > 0:02:50into the supermarket.

0:02:50 > 0:02:53Its not clear how much money was inside at the time.

0:02:53 > 0:02:55An original 18th Century theatre wall, which has been hidden

0:02:55 > 0:02:58for hundred of years, has been exposed as part

0:02:58 > 0:02:59of the building's restoration.

0:02:59 > 0:03:03The Bristol Old Vic theatre is undergoing major building work.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05And, as a 1970s structure was demolished, the original wall

0:03:05 > 0:03:08of the theatre can been seen for the very firs time -

0:03:08 > 0:03:09Lee Madan explains.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11After years of fundraising and months of demolition work

0:03:11 > 0:03:14knocking down the building that blocks it from view.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18The Bristol Old Vic now stands exposed.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21Behind us you can now see the original theatre wall.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24When it was first built, it was hidden behind two houses

0:03:24 > 0:03:29which stood here on King Street, owned by a Mr Foot and a Mr Gill.

0:03:29 > 0:03:33If you wanted to get to the theatre, you had to knock on the door and ask

0:03:33 > 0:03:34to be taken through.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Depending who you ask, it was either because it was really

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Either way, without Mr Foot and Mr Gill's cooperation

0:03:42 > 0:03:44there would never have been in Old Vic.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47Their houses have been be placed several times over the years,

0:03:47 > 0:03:49meaning that the theatre itself has stayed hidden - until now.

0:03:49 > 0:03:52But, despite the many rebuilds, parts of Mr Foot's house remain

0:03:52 > 0:03:54visible among the rubble.

0:03:54 > 0:03:56We're finding little bits of his house still in existence actually,

0:03:56 > 0:03:59because even though much of the 18th-century fabric was taken

0:03:59 > 0:04:02down in the early 20th century, and of course, it's all gone again

0:04:02 > 0:04:03now, we're were still finding...

0:04:03 > 0:04:06We found a fireplace, bits of brickwork from his house,

0:04:06 > 0:04:09so we're trying to bring his character alive again.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12Maybe when people become and visit here next year when we're reopened,

0:04:12 > 0:04:15we'll be able to tell the story of Mr Foot a little bit.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18Not all of the money for this multi-million pound rebuild

0:04:18 > 0:04:19has been raised yet.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22There's still ?300,000 to go.

0:04:22 > 0:04:25The public will be asked to contribute to the final push

0:04:25 > 0:04:28with donations this autumn, then the building work is due to be

0:04:28 > 0:04:31completed next summer.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34Lee Madan, BBC Points West, Bristol.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37A quick catch up with with today's football matches:

0:04:37 > 0:04:39Bristol City drew 1-1 against fellow Championship

0:04:39 > 0:04:42strugglers Blackburn Rovers.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44In League One, it was a narrow 1-0 victory

0:04:44 > 0:04:47for Bristol Rovers against Oldham while Swindon's League One survival

0:04:47 > 0:04:50hopes suffered a setback after defeat at Walsall.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52Cheltenham Town fans will be happy with their 2-1

0:04:52 > 0:04:55victory over Grimsby Town.

0:04:55 > 0:04:57Yeovil had a comfortable 3-0 win over Crewe.

0:04:57 > 0:05:00But in the National League Forest Green Rovers lost 2-0 to bottom

0:05:00 > 0:05:03of the table Southport.

0:05:03 > 0:05:05Back to work for some tomorrow, holidays continue for others.

0:05:05 > 0:05:08Bee Tucker has your weather forecast.

0:05:08 > 0:05:09Hello, good evening.

0:05:09 > 0:05:12A lot of the cloud that has been with us all day

0:05:12 > 0:05:13is starting to break up.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15We have one or two isolated showers out there

0:05:15 > 0:05:18but, with largely clearing skies, overnight tonight it is going to

0:05:18 > 0:05:21turn rather chilly, and that sets the scene for the rest of this week.

0:05:21 > 0:05:25We are going to see some fairly cool nights, one or two spots tonight

0:05:25 > 0:05:28could get down close to freezing, so do be prepared for a touch

0:05:28 > 0:05:29of frost first thing tomorrow.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31A beautiful day, dry and bright, plenty of

0:05:31 > 0:05:36sunshine, almost broken for many of us, just a bit

0:05:36 > 0:05:38sunshine, almost unbroken for many of us, just a bit

0:05:38 > 0:05:41of fairweather cloud building at times during the afternoon.

0:05:41 > 0:05:42Temperatures recovering quite nicely, we have light winds

0:05:42 > 0:05:44tomorrow so pleasant enough in the sunshine.

0:05:44 > 0:05:46One or two spots could hit 14 degrees.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49And as we head through the rest of this week very little

0:05:49 > 0:05:52rain in the forecast, if at all - so, dry and bright, a lot

0:05:52 > 0:05:55of sunshine, but by night it is staying cold and frosty.

0:05:55 > 0:06:00Have a good night.
