:00:20. > :00:23.has been dedicated today at Quedgeley in Gloucestershire.

:00:24. > :00:25.Their names were fading from their old war memorial -

:00:26. > :00:27.and families decided something had to be done.

:00:28. > :00:39.A corner of Quedgeley that certainly does still remember.

:00:40. > :00:47.Nearly a century after it was first built -

:00:48. > :00:50.this morning a ceremony to rededicate this old war memorial.

:00:51. > :00:53.Like many war memorials across the country, this one in

:00:54. > :00:54.Quedgeley is about 100 years old and showing

:00:55. > :00:58.So much so that many of the names on it

:00:59. > :01:01.But that was something that relatives felt should not

:01:02. > :01:07.It made me feel quite sad because I thought

:01:08. > :01:10.eventually these won't be legible and these people will be forgotten.

:01:11. > :01:15.I feel very strongly that they shouldn't be.

:01:16. > :01:20.They sacrificed a lot for us and future generations.

:01:21. > :01:22.My uncle David Morgan was a member of

:01:23. > :01:24.the 5th Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment.

:01:25. > :01:30.And he died during the withdrawal to Dunkirk in May 1940 when he was 24.

:01:31. > :01:45.-- He's one of the names that's on there.

:01:46. > :01:47.He has no known grave and actually we didn't receive confirmation

:01:48. > :01:53.And as a result of her and their hard work,

:01:54. > :01:55.today this new section of the memorial was unveiled.

:01:56. > :01:57.Replicating all the names on the original, ensuring

:01:58. > :02:03.that they will not be forgotten - for generations more to come.

:02:04. > :02:07.There was some disruption in the centre of Bristol today

:02:08. > :02:09.as far right and anti-fascist campaigners held two demonstrations.

:02:10. > :02:12.Officers set up a special policing zone and the area was closely

:02:13. > :02:16.They say they had to work hard to maintain order,

:02:17. > :02:24.A number of people were injured in the early hours after a large

:02:25. > :02:26.fight outside a night club in Bristol.
