:00:42. > :00:47.A single parent, Gary's been his sole carer for years.

:00:48. > :00:50.They found support here, at Beaumonds, an overnight respite

:00:51. > :00:52.centre for young people with disabilities in Bath.

:00:53. > :00:58.Shay's been coming every week for 12 years.

:00:59. > :01:01.He gets to socialise with friends giving Gary a break and valuable

:01:02. > :01:24.Without them I would have really struggled, there is no denying that.

:01:25. > :01:26.People say to me that I do a fantastic job and

:01:27. > :01:30.that a lot of people would walk away, while that was never going to

:01:31. > :01:33.But it would have been extremely difficult.

:01:34. > :01:37.But Beaumonds could soon close -

:01:38. > :01:40.along with three similar centres in Melksham, Chippenham and

:01:41. > :01:43.Swindon, all run by the charity Quarriers.

:01:44. > :01:44.Staff face redundancy but their concern

:01:45. > :02:10.the families - their lives will be changed so completely.

:02:11. > :02:17.The Scottish charity said they can no longer afford to run the centres.

:02:18. > :02:20.Gary and other families have met with their local MP

:02:21. > :02:24.in their campaign to keep Beaumonds open.

:02:25. > :02:31.Now nearly 21, Shay will soon be too old for the respite centre.

:02:32. > :02:35.But Gary says it's vital other families continue to get the same
