:00:44. > :00:46.On April the 5th, 1917, 24-year-old William Gosling found

:00:47. > :00:51.A faulty bomb fired from his own side landed in the mud just yards

:00:52. > :00:53.in front of his line, but didn't explode.

:00:54. > :00:55.William immediately jumped out of the trench to defuse it.

:00:56. > :01:13.His act was recorded in the London Gazette that same year.

:01:14. > :01:17.This event, 100 years on has given an opportunity for people

:01:18. > :01:20.to remember that extraordinary presence of mind that he had.

:01:59. > :02:06.A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with an incident

:02:07. > :02:08.on the Gloucester Road in Bristol, where a car hit a cyclist

:02:09. > :02:15.The cyclist, a 31 year-old man, remains in a life threatening
