:00:03. > :00:07.Welcome to South East Today, I'm Polly Evans.

:00:07. > :00:10.And I'm Rob Smith. Tonight's top stories:

:00:10. > :00:12."Dangerous and selfish" - passengers who climbed onto the

:00:12. > :00:14.tracks from a stranded train are condemned by police and other

:00:14. > :00:16.commuters. Jail for a disgraced Sussex

:00:16. > :00:21.policeman who downloaded and distributed more than 50,000 images

:00:21. > :00:24.of child pornography. Also in tonight's programme:

:00:24. > :00:31.The Conservative councillor in hot water for calling a constituent a

:00:31. > :00:34."village idiot" on Twitter. We're live tonight in Lewes.

:00:34. > :00:39.Got 25 million to spare? Just what would prospective buyers of

:00:39. > :00:45.Brighton Pier get for their money? # You done too much, much too

:00:45. > :00:55.young... #. And Folkestone is two- tone-tastic as the town gears up

:00:55. > :01:01.

:01:01. > :01:04.Good evening. Rail passengers who forced their

:01:04. > :01:07.way off a stranded Southern train and walked along the tracks to the

:01:07. > :01:11.nearest station - after becoming frustrated with the delay to their

:01:11. > :01:15.journey home - have been condemned by transport police. Officers say

:01:15. > :01:18.the commuters, who forced power to the line to be shut down for an

:01:18. > :01:28.hour during last night's rush hour, put their own lives at risk and

:01:28. > :01:33.

:01:33. > :01:38.caused massive disruption. Jon Hunt And so here I am, walking the in

:01:38. > :01:43.high heels. At the side of the tracks. Their passenger makes a

:01:43. > :01:49.video as she and others leave the train in frustration. They had

:01:49. > :01:53.forced open the doors after being stranded for nearly two hours.

:01:53. > :01:58.not going to lie, I am actually quite scared. She has reason to be.

:01:58. > :02:03.But the third rail has just been switched back on after a trespasser

:02:03. > :02:07.was clear from the line. Police, who had to rush to switch the power

:02:07. > :02:12.off-again, said these passengers were taking serious risks as well

:02:12. > :02:15.as breaking the law. Obviously, it is illegal. It is a criminal

:02:15. > :02:19.offence to trespass on the railway and we will be looking to identify

:02:19. > :02:24.people from this and deal with them appropriately. Because the power

:02:24. > :02:28.had to be shut off again it caused delays to other commuters. It is

:02:28. > :02:31.really, really annoying, because they are putting their own lives at

:02:31. > :02:38.risk and they are being selfish, holding up thousands and thousands

:02:38. > :02:41.of other people. The author of the video today defended her actions.

:02:41. > :02:45.We had absolutely no information as to what was going on. The driver

:02:45. > :02:49.didn't have a clue when we would start moving again. We waited and

:02:49. > :02:51.we waited and saw more and more people getting off and it was when

:02:51. > :02:57.we realised that that pretty much the entire train had got off that

:02:57. > :03:02.we thought, let's get off. Can you poor clear-up that one there? That

:03:02. > :03:05.is the electric one. Because they passengers took matters into their

:03:05. > :03:11.own hands, hundreds of other commuters were stuck for an

:03:11. > :03:13.additional hour on heart and stationary trains. -- hot.

:03:13. > :03:15.A Sussex police sergeant who was commended for his bravery has

:03:15. > :03:20.admitted downloading and distributing over 54,000 indecent

:03:20. > :03:23.images of children. 26-year-old Philip Savidge used the

:03:23. > :03:30.username "babypass 2004" on a file- sharing website to distribute

:03:30. > :03:35.indecent images. He told detectives his collection of child pornography

:03:35. > :03:43.spiralled out of control. Today he was jailed for 27 months. Our Home

:03:43. > :03:46.Affairs correspondent Colin Campbell has the story.

:03:46. > :03:50.He was a Sussex police sergeant commended for outstanding bravery,

:03:50. > :03:54.but what nobody knew was that at home, Philip Savidge had compiled a

:03:54. > :03:59.massive library of child pornography. Tens of thousands of

:03:59. > :04:03.extreme images of young children, which he shared over the internet.

:04:03. > :04:08.All indecent images of children being sexually abused are

:04:08. > :04:16.disturbing. At all levels. And that they were particularly disturbing

:04:16. > :04:21.with babies and toddlers. It is a case of distribution, file sharing

:04:21. > :04:25.it, for the sexual gratification of some like-minded offenders.

:04:25. > :04:28.Sussex police officer for six years, he told detectives his fascination

:04:28. > :04:34.with child pornography had spiralled out of control. In total,

:04:34. > :04:40.he admitted to 42 charges, possessing over 54,000 indecent

:04:40. > :04:46.images, still and moving. At least 1,400 were graded at a level five,

:04:46. > :04:55.the most extreme. In court, it was alleged he had shared the images

:04:55. > :04:59.with other paedophiles, using the user name "babypass 2004".

:04:59. > :05:03.Sentencing Philip Savidge to 20 -- 17 months in prison, the judge told

:05:03. > :05:06.the former police sergeant that his offences were wicked and evil and

:05:06. > :05:10.that each picture of represented a child being abused and that there

:05:10. > :05:15.were an horrendous number of images being involved. Philip Savidge

:05:15. > :05:19.resigned the day he was arrested. He was involved in various youth

:05:19. > :05:24.organisations, a scout leader and a cricket coach. Police said they are

:05:24. > :05:28.now trying to trace all of those he shared images with online.

:05:28. > :05:37.In a moment, he wasn't acting alone, say Kent police hunting the

:05:37. > :05:39.A Conservative councillor who called one of her constituents "a

:05:39. > :05:44.village idiot" on the social networking site Twitter has been

:05:44. > :05:47.forced to apologise. Donna Edmunds, from Lewes District

:05:47. > :05:55.Council, made the remarks to Jim Cornelius during an online row

:05:55. > :06:01.about whether the NHS should be privatised. Nick Miles reports.

:06:01. > :06:04.Another political gaffe on Twitter. And this one goes to the heart of

:06:04. > :06:10.concerns some people have about Tory Party attitudes towards the

:06:10. > :06:20.NHS. Councillor dollar Edmonds was debating the NHS's cancer -- cancer

:06:20. > :06:30.

:06:30. > :06:35.survivor rates on Twitter with Jim The statement about cancer has been

:06:35. > :06:38.slightly misconstrued. My point was, and I made it very badly, was that

:06:38. > :06:43.I thought cancer outcomes could be better in this country, especially

:06:43. > :06:47.for the level of taxes we pay. Of course, I apologise unreservedly to

:06:47. > :06:52.anyone who was offended by the comments, cancer sufferers or NHS

:06:52. > :06:56.staff. It is a sensitive issue and for that reason, with the response

:06:56. > :06:59.that has come from her, she should consider her position. I don't

:06:59. > :07:03.think it is a resigning matter but it takes more than saying sorry on

:07:03. > :07:08.Twitter, due need to make a very public apology to bigger channels.

:07:08. > :07:15.-- you need. This isn't the first time people have been caught out on

:07:15. > :07:19.social media. Ashford Tory Jacquard were told a person to go back to

:07:19. > :07:23.washing dishes. One person was told to resign after making jokes on

:07:23. > :07:27.Twitter about blind people and anorexia. Another resigned from the

:07:27. > :07:31.Conservative Party after reserve -- referring to local women as sluts.

:07:31. > :07:36.None of those mistakes probably caught the eye of the Prime

:07:36. > :07:40.Minister. This latest one just might, it is so off message. I want

:07:40. > :07:46.politics not to take risks with the NHS, not to threaten the NHS in any

:07:46. > :07:50.way, but to safeguard and improve the NHS for today and for future

:07:50. > :08:00.generations. The people of Lewis and elsewhere are likely to be

:08:00. > :08:01.

:08:01. > :08:06.Back row and is it a party that says, great NHS, or died of cancer

:08:06. > :08:09.NHS? It is a mixed message Nick Miles joins us live from Lewes

:08:09. > :08:13.now. What does the conservative leader of Lewes District Council

:08:13. > :08:19.have to say about this? -- Conservative.

:08:19. > :08:23.Tania Nicol says quite a reserved man and he had some quite strong,

:08:23. > :08:27.it's to make -- Tony Nicholson is. He said it was wholly appropriate

:08:27. > :08:32.and it was a bash in appropriate and it was embarrassing for the

:08:32. > :08:37.party. -- he had said it was totally inappropriate. She has made

:08:37. > :08:41.a full apology, but nevertheless, he wants to have a full face-to-

:08:41. > :08:44.face talk with that as soon as possible. We did try to contact

:08:44. > :08:47.Conservative Central Office but they gave no comment.

:08:47. > :08:51.A mother from Camber in East Sussex has pleaded not guilty to the

:08:51. > :08:53.murder of her three-year-old daughter more than seven years ago.

:08:53. > :08:56.33-year-old Lesley Dunford, seen here during an earlier hearing,

:08:56. > :09:02.denies killing her daughter in February 2004. It's alleged Lucy

:09:02. > :09:05.died from asphyxia caused by a blockage.

:09:05. > :09:09.Train passengers on a high-speed service from London to Kent had to

:09:09. > :09:12.be rescued this morning following a power surge on the high-speed line.

:09:12. > :09:16.The Southeastern train was stuck in a tunnel under the Thames for more

:09:16. > :09:22.than an hour. It was caused by electrical problems at St Pancras

:09:22. > :09:25.International and Ebbsfleet International.

:09:25. > :09:27.Some south-eastern and Eurostar services suffered delays of up to

:09:27. > :09:30.two hours. Children's charities have called it

:09:30. > :09:32."horrifying" that a mum from Sussex is giving her four-year-old

:09:33. > :09:35.daughter spray tans. Jools Willis, who's a trained beautician, claims

:09:35. > :09:39.the treatment helps boost the confidence of her youngest child,

:09:39. > :09:43.Tate. But Kidscape believes her actions -

:09:43. > :09:51.which have become front page news - helps sexualise young children.

:09:51. > :09:56.Rebecca Barry reports. A Sussex mother making national

:09:56. > :10:01.headlines. And it is all down to this. Her four-year-old daughter

:10:01. > :10:05.with a fake tan. So is Jools Willis forcing her child to grow up too

:10:05. > :10:09.soon? She runs a beauty salon inside this leisure centre. Adults

:10:09. > :10:13.come here for everything from their extensions to take widening, but it

:10:13. > :10:17.is news that she is offering beauty treatments to her own children that

:10:17. > :10:21.is causing controversy -- to the widening. My daughter is the same

:10:21. > :10:28.age and I wouldn't do a spray tan. I don't see why she would want one,

:10:28. > :10:33.and why I would need to do it. should be doing children's thinks.

:10:34. > :10:38.That is an adult thing to do. she should be enjoying it, not

:10:39. > :10:46.worrying about what she looks like. Ena Brown is serious, Sky enters

:10:46. > :10:50.the world of pushy parents. Jools Willis and her children appear in a

:10:50. > :10:53.new documentary starting next week. Some parents say they are

:10:53. > :10:58.centralising their children. Predators believe that children are

:10:58. > :11:02.sexual beings and best plays right into their court. It is really an

:11:02. > :11:07.necessary. -- this. This summer, a government report called for tough

:11:07. > :11:11.measures to tackle just this. Four year-old Tate was born be done in

:11:11. > :11:18.one hand. Her mother says beauty treatments help to boost her

:11:18. > :11:22.confidence -- with only. You've been commenting on this

:11:22. > :11:25.story on our Facebook page - here are a couple of your views.

:11:25. > :11:28.Simon James says "That's just wrong, totally wrong!".

:11:28. > :11:32.While Chris Searle says "Surely there must be other ways to boost

:11:32. > :11:36.her daughter's confidence? If however the mother has narrowed it

:11:37. > :11:44.down to this one issue and it does her no harm then why not give it a

:11:44. > :11:47.try? We want to know what you think. So should parents be free to give

:11:47. > :11:49.their young children these beauty treatments or does it amount to the

:11:49. > :11:59.sexualisation of children? You can get involved in the debate

:11:59. > :12:01.

:12:01. > :12:04.on our Facebook page or send us an email.

:12:04. > :12:08.In the 112 years of its existence, Brighton Pier has survived being

:12:08. > :12:10.rammed by a barge, storms and a fire - and now the agents selling

:12:10. > :12:13.it say there has been strong interest from potential buyers.

:12:13. > :12:16.The current owners have invested some 35 million and anyone taking

:12:16. > :12:21.it on may have to pay out a similar sum.

:12:21. > :12:25.Chrissie Reidy is at the pier now - so what do you get for your money?

:12:25. > :12:29.Well, what you see is what you get above which this evening, isn't a

:12:29. > :12:33.great deal, but for nearly 30 million, you even get the

:12:33. > :12:37.fairground rides are thrown in. It is Grade 2 listed so there will be

:12:37. > :12:40.restrictions, but speaking to people today, whoever buys it, they

:12:40. > :12:44.wanted kept as a tears. Visitors have been flocking to

:12:44. > :12:47.Brighton Pier since the late 19th century, symbolising an era when

:12:47. > :12:52.the South Coast became more accessible and British folk could

:12:52. > :12:55.holiday by the sea. It survived two world wars and some of the harshest

:12:55. > :13:00.weather conditions, I get the Victorian structure is still

:13:00. > :13:05.standing and is as popular now as it was then -- yet. It is a symbol

:13:05. > :13:10.of the resurgent seaside. It is a key focus attraction for Brighton.

:13:11. > :13:16.And I think that in itself really keeps the appeal of Brighton Pier

:13:16. > :13:20.going and going. Fashions may have come and gone but the pier remains

:13:20. > :13:24.one of the most treasured landmarks on the south coast. I don't really

:13:24. > :13:29.wanted to change. I am quite happy with everything we have got here.

:13:29. > :13:33.Brighton is a wonderful place at the Pier is superb. I like the

:13:33. > :13:40.architecture. I like the way they have brought some of it then, like

:13:40. > :13:43.the night -- nice art by the fish- and-chip shop. I was brought up in

:13:43. > :13:49.Brighton and I would like to bring my boy, we don't live here and come

:13:49. > :13:53.down time to time. It is Brighton Pier, the one and only. And the one

:13:53. > :13:57.and only pier comes with a whopping price tag of around 30 million.

:13:57. > :14:02.Mind you, that does include all fixtures and fittings. It does have

:14:02. > :14:05.its own security. Is it a bargain? I think it is that there is

:14:05. > :14:09.potential for the new owners to make more money. But it is like the

:14:09. > :14:13.Forth Bridge, you have to keep painting it from one end to the

:14:13. > :14:19.other constantly. It has been here 100 years, could it be here another

:14:19. > :14:22.100? I think so, another 300 or 400 if it is maintained properly.

:14:22. > :14:26.Whoever buys it will have to appreciate its importance to the

:14:26. > :14:30.people of Brighton. The only thing you cannot be sure of here is the

:14:30. > :14:35.sunshine. So the Noble Group took over the

:14:35. > :14:39.peer back in 1984. I understand this evening that there is interest

:14:39. > :14:41.from foreign investors -- took over the pier. But we probably won't

:14:41. > :14:45.until the new year what is happening.

:14:46. > :14:48.The top story tonight: rail passengers who forced their way off

:14:48. > :14:51.of a stranded Southern Trains and walked along the tracks to the

:14:51. > :14:55.nearest station after becoming frustrated with delays have been

:14:55. > :15:02.condemned as dangerous and selfish by Transport Police and other

:15:02. > :15:09.commuters forced up Also tonight: the louder than a low flying

:15:09. > :15:14.aircraft, German Touring cars come to Brands Hatch this weekend.

:15:14. > :15:21.And a collection of ska: Folkestone revise the Two Tone beat than the

:15:21. > :15:26.night -- late 1970s. -- from the late 1970s.

:15:26. > :15:29.Detectives investigating two bomb hoaxes that caused major lads in

:15:29. > :15:33.Canterbury say they believe the offender was not acting alone --

:15:33. > :15:38.alerts. A week on from the incident, police have been speaking to

:15:38. > :15:44.shoppers as part of the investigation.

:15:44. > :15:47.We are just appealing for one of these. Seven days after a suspect

:15:47. > :15:53.packages caused lockdown in Canterbury city centre, at the

:15:53. > :15:58.police still want to identify this man, he was caught on CCTV near

:15:58. > :16:03.Marks and Spencers. That was before a fire alarm was set up under hoax

:16:03. > :16:06.bomb was found in the store. actually believe there is more than

:16:06. > :16:10.one person connected to these offences, but the principal person

:16:10. > :16:17.is the person who is in the imagery that we have put out from the Marks

:16:17. > :16:21.& Spencer CCTV. This is an organised and well planned attempt,

:16:21. > :16:26.a serious attempt to disrupt the people of Canterbury. So what

:16:26. > :16:30.happened and went last Friday? At 4:21pm, a suspect package was found

:16:30. > :16:36.on the railway line by the Phoenix Park on the Old Dover Road. Nearly

:16:36. > :16:40.an hour later, a fire alarm was activated in Marks & Spencer and

:16:40. > :16:46.just minutes after that, the city centre was evacuated, well into the

:16:46. > :16:50.early hours of Saturday morning. Security experts say that any

:16:50. > :16:57.suspect package that took hours for bomb disposal teams have to make

:16:57. > :17:01.safe must have been unusually sophisticated. When it gets to this

:17:01. > :17:07.degree of sophistication, I think we are talking about several people.

:17:07. > :17:11.One may be leading a, one may be competent to deal with creating an

:17:11. > :17:15.atmosphere and the technical work associated with a bomb. This

:17:15. > :17:19.afternoon, police were asking shoppers if they noticed anything

:17:19. > :17:23.suspicious last Friday. They also confirmed that no one has claimed

:17:23. > :17:33.responsibility for the hoax bombs, and therefore the motive remains a

:17:33. > :17:42.

:17:42. > :17:45.Folkestone is preparing to welcome crowds of skinheads and Mods this

:17:45. > :17:48.weekend as Skabour Festival gets under way. It kicks off tonight

:17:48. > :17:53.with two of the big bands that trace their history to the two-tone

:17:53. > :17:59.music of the seventies, the selector and Beat.

:17:59. > :18:03.Ska kicked off in the 1950s, drawing on a fusion of jazz, reggae

:18:03. > :18:13.and blues. In the sixties, it became popular with British bards

:18:13. > :18:15.

:18:15. > :18:21.and was actually a pre- cursor of There was a time when an influx of

:18:21. > :18:29.crew-cut it skinhead son would have been a cause for concern in a

:18:29. > :18:33.seaside deserter -- skinheads. They still turn heads. A lot of people

:18:33. > :18:39.perceive us as outsiders, whereas we don't. We perceive other people

:18:39. > :18:48.as outsiders! It is the first time I have ever come back here. When

:18:48. > :18:51.you hear that peak, you can't help but tap your feet. -- beat.

:18:51. > :18:56.weekend is a big celebration for people who feel this sort of music

:18:56. > :19:01.has never really been away. There is no doubt about their looks or

:19:01. > :19:10.their manager, but what do they all talk about? The music -- that their

:19:10. > :19:16.manner. Ska was at the heart of reggae and Two Tone beat in the

:19:16. > :19:20.1970s and the 1980s. I don't think ska music has ever gone away. It

:19:20. > :19:28.hadn't gone away when we first started. I see what we do as to

:19:28. > :19:36.turn music. And that was political in its day? -- two-tone. Is any

:19:36. > :19:42.music not political? Here are two celebrities of the ska scene.

:19:42. > :19:50.to come from Jamaica. And we are right by the sea. It is Neville

:19:50. > :19:58.staple of The Specials and his lifelong friend and DJ, Trevor.

:19:58. > :20:02.The I will tell you what keeps it fresh, but fans. The bash at the

:20:02. > :20:08.fans. I am working on a new album, but they keep shouting out for the

:20:08. > :20:13.old stuff. That is what we do. And I love it. And he is just here to

:20:13. > :20:21.mingle and there to watch, like them. To be together, to remember

:20:21. > :20:25.the good old days and celebrate their music, that is still alive.

:20:25. > :20:28.And lovely weather for it as well. Vorsprung Durch Technik will be the

:20:28. > :20:30.catchphrase of the weekend at Brands Hatch, where the latest leg

:20:30. > :20:36.of the German touring car championships are taking place.

:20:36. > :20:39.Not only that, but there's some important football matches. Neil

:20:39. > :20:44.Bell is in Chatham - and Gillingham and Crawley are both looking to

:20:44. > :20:50.bounce back from defeats tomorrow. Yes, both teams came down to earth

:20:50. > :20:56.with a bit of a bump. The Gills will be keen to forget their 3-0

:20:56. > :20:59.thumping at Rotherham. All of them second half goals. It won't be easy,

:20:59. > :21:04.because they have been beset by a virus which has hit a number of

:21:04. > :21:12.players, including striker Dani cared well. We have had quite a lot

:21:12. > :21:16.of illness. There is concerns over Danny for the weekend. I think it

:21:16. > :21:19.has gone around the staff as well and it has not been particularly

:21:20. > :21:26.nice. We are hoping they will be OK for the weekend but at the moment,

:21:26. > :21:29.they are doubtful. It's a long long time since Crawley

:21:29. > :21:32.lost three games in a week. Last Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Cheltenham

:21:32. > :21:35.was sandwiched by early exits from the Carling Cup and Johstone Paint

:21:35. > :21:37.Trophy, but they will be confident of getting back on track against

:21:37. > :21:42.Bristol Rovers tomorrow. Now, what travels at close to

:21:42. > :21:48.200mph and is louder than a low flying aircraft? The answer is a

:21:48. > :21:53.German touring car. There will be plenty of them in action this

:21:53. > :21:57.weekend. The big race on Sunday has attracted a number of Formula One

:21:57. > :22:03.legends, including Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard. They are

:22:03. > :22:07.expecting crowds of up to 25,000. Rottingdean Cricket club are the

:22:07. > :22:09.third Sussex side in the last five years to make it through to the

:22:09. > :22:12.final of the National Village Cup competition. They will take on

:22:12. > :22:22.Lancashire side Woodhouses on Sunday in a 40-over match at the

:22:22. > :22:23.

:22:23. > :22:30.home of cricket, Lords. It is great, having seen them come up through

:22:30. > :22:36.the ranks. I just hope they win, but as long as it is a good game,

:22:36. > :22:39.the game first, the team's second than yourself a third. Let's hope

:22:39. > :22:45.they have a great day out. A friendly, Brighton & Hove Albion

:22:45. > :22:48.fans, they have finally signed Rodriguez. He will hopefully be

:22:48. > :22:52.involved in the next day made over a week's time.

:22:52. > :22:56.Sunshine in Chatham, sunshine in Rottingdean, it is everywhere.

:22:56. > :23:00.I think it is a case of enjoy it while you can.

:23:01. > :23:04.I think so, the weekend will be part of two halves. It has been

:23:04. > :23:05.lovely and bright today, and lovely and bright today, and

:23:05. > :23:10.Saturday will be slightly similar but unfortunately, there are some

:23:10. > :23:15.thundery showers overnight into Sunday and Sunday itself, it will

:23:15. > :23:18.be a wet picture, particularly compared to Saturday. Earlier today,

:23:18. > :23:24.there was some fair weather cloud around but it hasn't affected the

:23:24. > :23:28.Bryden has too much, just turning the sunshine hazy. -- brightness. A

:23:28. > :23:37.slightly humid and muddy field to the day and temperatures in the 20s

:23:37. > :23:41.So plenty of the evening sunshine around, and we are holding on to

:23:41. > :23:46.those clear skies overnight. So mist around and some ploughed

:23:46. > :23:51.reforming it, but despite those clearer skies, a pretty mild night

:23:51. > :23:55.-- cloud of reforming. Not getting above 13 degrees. Saturday, it will

:23:55. > :23:58.be warm unsettled and bright. Will we start off with a little more

:23:58. > :24:03.cloud and as we move into the afternoon, the cloud cover will

:24:03. > :24:08.burn off Mallett -- plenty of sunshine. South-westerly winds,

:24:08. > :24:13.pretty light, and temperatures very similar to today. Highs of 24

:24:13. > :24:16.degrees. As we move into tomorrow night, it will initially stay dry

:24:16. > :24:20.but we do have some thundery showers moving up from the near

:24:20. > :24:25.Continent and currently, there is some level of uncertainty about how

:24:25. > :24:30.far inland they are going to go but they look like they will clip the

:24:30. > :24:35.far east coast of Kent. Elsewhere, plenty of cloud around, pretty mild,

:24:35. > :24:39.temperatures not much below 14 degrees. Sunday, it is all change.

:24:39. > :24:43.We have a weather front, and an associated band of rain. A wet

:24:43. > :24:48.start to the day and that's the front players, we are left with

:24:48. > :24:51.some showery outbreaks of rain -- as the front players. Temperatures

:24:51. > :24:57.will feel significantly cooler, struggling to get much above 18

:24:57. > :25:01.degrees. As you can see, we have this weather front, clearing East

:25:01. > :25:05.on Sunday morning, and we will see some further outbreaks of rain. As

:25:05. > :25:10.we move into next week, it will be fairly quiet weather-wise, still

:25:10. > :25:14.feeling cooler and temperatures in the top teams. A weekend of two

:25:14. > :25:20.halves, tomorrow should be dry and settled, and thundery outbreaks as

:25:20. > :25:23.we move into Sunday, which will be unsettled. Highs of around 18

:25:24. > :25:29.degrees and as we move into next week, settled but still feeling

:25:29. > :25:33.week, settled but still feeling rather call. -- Pool.

:25:33. > :25:36.Let's recap tonight half backs top story. Libya's National

:25:36. > :25:40.Transitional Council says most of the country is now secure and safe

:25:40. > :25:46.and it is just a matter of time before Colonel Gaddafi is caught or

:25:46. > :25:52.killed. The former Libyan leader has about two -- fared to fight a

:25:52. > :25:57.long guerrilla war. A member of Lewes District Council

:25:57. > :26:01.who called a constituent a village idiot on Twitter has been forced to

:26:01. > :26:05.apologise. And outrage at a woman who giving a

:26:05. > :26:08.her four-year-old daughter spray tan. She claims that it boost the

:26:08. > :26:13.confidence of her youngest child. We ask your views and we have had

:26:13. > :26:17.lots of comments. One says, more and more children

:26:17. > :26:19.losing their innocence. What happened to being covered in mud at

:26:19. > :26:23.the age of four? Another says it is putting out a

:26:23. > :26:28.terrible message that the that the lovely skin and hair tone of a

:26:28. > :26:31.child can be changed to make them look more attractive. It is more

:26:31. > :26:34.invasive than playing with lipstick for fun.

:26:34. > :26:38.Victoria has gone against this and says she remembers putting on her

:26:38. > :26:42.mother's make-up when she was about six and she got told off for doing

:26:42. > :26:49.good. Most kids play with the parents' break-up, is this not just

:26:49. > :26:54.a more controlled and less messy She believes children should be

:26:54. > :26:57.children and should not be moving - - wearing make-up at that age. She

:26:57. > :27:01.thinks that children should enjoy their childhood and not grow up too

:27:01. > :27:05.fast. Robert says it is a thin line, or

:27:05. > :27:09.we allow children to dress up and use their mother's make-up, but

:27:09. > :27:13.spray tan and adult clothing is way beyond any line a sane adult would

:27:13. > :27:16.draw. This one from Valerie says she

:27:16. > :27:20.thinks it is disgusting and that if her daughter has such low

:27:20. > :27:24.confidence at such a young age, the question should be why and how to

:27:25. > :27:29.boosted. This is the wrong way to do it. She says that in slightly

:27:29. > :27:32.stronger language! And Linda Wilson says, how lovely,

:27:32. > :27:37.just the right thing to show up that pierced belly button.
