:00:09. > :00:13.Good evening. Police have made a second arrest following the murder

:00:13. > :00:15.of a 17-year-old boy in Hastings. A 31-year-old man is also being held

:00:15. > :00:20.in custody in relation to the incident, which happened yesterday

:00:20. > :00:24.afternoon. Friends have described the boy who died as "sporty,

:00:24. > :00:34.football-loving and someone who gave 100% to everything he did".

:00:34. > :00:37.Nicola Haseler reports. His friends say he had so much to

:00:37. > :00:45.live for. He was a well nice lad, everybody

:00:45. > :00:49.knew him and had nothing bad to say about him. I just wish he was here

:00:49. > :00:56.now. The 6th form student named -- was

:00:56. > :01:02.stabbed outside his pub yesterday afternoon. Police are yet to

:01:02. > :01:05.confirm his name. He was a lovely boy, an active

:01:05. > :01:10.sportsman and he wanted to get on with his life and enjoy it. He

:01:10. > :01:15.loved his family and his family loved him. It is a massive waste of

:01:15. > :01:22.life and potential. He had so much to live for. It is a shock. He will

:01:22. > :01:26.be missed dearly. The family are devastated and there is some

:01:26. > :01:29.concern in the community. I want to reassure the community that we

:01:29. > :01:35.don't believe this to be a random attack and I am very grateful for

:01:35. > :01:38.the support given while the road was closed and the disruption that

:01:38. > :01:41.that caused and the people who have come forward to help the

:01:41. > :01:50.investigation. Throughout the day, while people

:01:50. > :01:55.who knew Jacob laid flowers, police have pieced together what happened.

:01:55. > :02:01.They have arrested a man from Bexhill on suspicion of murder. A

:02:01. > :02:08.31-year-old man is also in custody. Friends here say they are coming to

:02:08. > :02:11.terms with the fact that there is no more Jacob. It

:02:11. > :02:13.a 72-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells has died in a road collision

:02:13. > :02:17.in Dorset. Police say his car collided with a 26-tonne refuse

:02:17. > :02:19.truck while trying to do a U-turn. It happened on the A35 between

:02:19. > :02:22.Bridport and Dorchester just after 1 o'clock this afternoon.

:02:22. > :02:25.Eurotunnel services travelling to France were delayed for up to three

:02:25. > :02:28.hours today. Part of the M20 was temporarily closed to ease the

:02:28. > :02:33.backlog of traffic. Services were suspended when an alarm sounded on

:02:33. > :02:36.a freight shuttle travelling from Calais to Folkestone. Eurotunnel

:02:36. > :02:40.say safety checks have now been carried out and services in both

:02:40. > :02:43.directions are getting back to normal.

:02:43. > :02:46.Tourism chiefs in Hastings say they are furious that Network Rail have

:02:46. > :02:50.decided to close all three routes into the town over the Bank Holiday

:02:50. > :02:55.weekend. The rail company says essential work must be carried out

:02:55. > :02:58.and that an Easter closure is preferable to a summer one. The

:02:58. > :03:04.council says this weekend marks the start of the visitor season and

:03:04. > :03:07.couldn't come at a worse time. People throughout Kent and Sussex

:03:07. > :03:11.have been marking this Good Friday bank holiday with a series of

:03:11. > :03:14.special events. As well as Easter egg hunts and lambing activities in

:03:14. > :03:24.Kent, crowds turned out in Hastings for a re-enactment of the Passion

:03:24. > :03:27.

:03:27. > :03:31.of Christ, as Charlie Rose reports. It is a Good Friday service with a

:03:31. > :03:36.twist. Oh re-enactment through Hastings' old town of all well-

:03:36. > :03:43.known biblical story. It is a reminder to everybody that Jesus

:03:43. > :03:47.was taken and tried by both the Jewish authorities and ultimately

:03:47. > :03:53.the Roman government, Pontius Pilate, condemned to death, made to

:03:53. > :03:58.carry the instrument of his own execution and crucified with two

:03:58. > :04:06.others. It is scary for the little ones, seeing blood all over. He

:04:06. > :04:12.fell down the steps and they didn't care at all. I'm not a practising

:04:12. > :04:16.religious person but I find it very moving to see the story enacted.

:04:16. > :04:20.The procession is now making its way through the old town towards

:04:20. > :04:22.All Saints Church, where there will be a re-enactment of the

:04:22. > :04:29.Crucifixion in about half an hour's time.

:04:29. > :04:36.It was not the only event of its kind taking place in the South East

:04:36. > :04:43.today. There also East a recurrence and other activities including an

:04:43. > :04:50.Easter Rick -- a lambing event. Back in Hastings, the ultimate

:04:50. > :04:55.symbol of what Easter is all about. I have been involved with it for

:04:55. > :04:59.the last 10 or so years and it was good to take on the main role and I

:04:59. > :05:04.hope it got across the message that we are trying to get across to

:05:04. > :05:09.people. That message - the Easter story

:05:09. > :05:12.brought to life for the people of All Saints Parish.

:05:12. > :05:14.On to football now, and in the Championship Brighton could be

:05:14. > :05:17.pushed out of the play-off places by tomorrow's results, after losing

:05:17. > :05:20.1-0 away to Burnley. Meanwhile, in League Two, Gillingham salvaged a

:05:21. > :05:23.point against Bristol Rovers. The Gills took the lead early in the

:05:24. > :05:27.second half but Rovers hit back immediately and then went ahead in

:05:27. > :05:34.the 80th minute. However, substitute Dennis Oli headed in a

:05:34. > :05:36.late equaliser to keep the Gills in touching distance of the play-offs.

:05:36. > :05:40.Crawley may also be out of the automatic promotion slots after

:05:41. > :05:43.only managing a draw at home to Crewe. Crewe took the lead midway

:05:44. > :05:47.through the first half through an 18 yard strike from Byron Moore,

:05:47. > :05:50.but right at the death Lee Bell handled in the box and Gary

:05:50. > :06:00.Alexander kept his cool to fire home a penalty and deny the

:06:00. > :06:05.

:06:05. > :06:09.It has been a lovely, bright day today. How is the weekend looking?

:06:09. > :06:14.There will be some sunshine for a time but it is increasingly

:06:14. > :06:20.unsettled through Sunday. Today, decent spells of sunshine,

:06:20. > :06:24.increasingly cloudy through the afternoon. Tomorrow is cloudy,

:06:24. > :06:28.mostly dry, increasingly unsettled by Sunday. Decent spells of

:06:28. > :06:32.sunshine through the morning. The weak front has been sinking

:06:32. > :06:38.southwards, bringing more cloud. Temperatures not too bad for the

:06:38. > :06:46.time of year, highs around 12 degrees. Three tonight, mostly dry,

:06:46. > :06:51.a mixture of cloud and clearer spells. -- through tonight.

:06:51. > :06:55.Temperatures tonight certainly milder than last night. A cloudy,

:06:55. > :06:59.mild start to the day tomorrow. Another weather front sinks

:06:59. > :07:04.southwards, bringing outbreaks of light rain through the morning.

:07:04. > :07:11.Still a dull picture. By the afternoon, the north-easterly winds

:07:11. > :07:16.picking up a touch, taking the edge of the temperatures as a result.
