:00:00. > :00:00.Welcome to South East Today. I'm Rob Smith.

:00:07. > :00:09.And I'm Polly Evans. Tonight's top stories.

:00:10. > :00:14.He gambled away his ?25,000 redundancy money on high`st`kes

:00:15. > :00:22.betting machines. The Kent lan calling for a ban.

:00:23. > :00:24.They are as dangerous as anx drug or any addiction.

:00:25. > :00:28.Targeted online by a racist troll, police investigate abusive tweets

:00:29. > :00:31.sent to a Brighton Labour c`ndidate. Also in tonight's programme.

:00:32. > :00:33.The controversial plan to prevent new takeaways opening near schools

:00:34. > :00:39.in Medway, branded draconian by small`business leaders.

:00:40. > :00:41.We'll have the details live from Chatham.

:00:42. > :00:44.Lofty ambitions for Brighton's seafront as the council approves

:00:45. > :00:53.plans to borrow ?36 million to build the i360.

:00:54. > :00:58.Can't I just have one morning without you making a fuss?

:00:59. > :01:01.Making a drama of things. The former EastEnders star on a mission to help

:01:02. > :01:09.her pupils build confidence and self`esteem.

:01:10. > :01:14.Good evening. A man who lost his ?25,000 redundancy payment on

:01:15. > :01:18.high`stakes betting machines is tonight joining calls for them to be

:01:19. > :01:21.banned. Speaking exclusively to BBC South

:01:22. > :01:25.East, Martin Power from Ramsgate said it was like being addicted to a

:01:26. > :01:28.drug. Campaigners claim gamblers in Kent and Sussex lost more than 65

:01:29. > :01:34.million on fixed`odds betting terminals last year. However,

:01:35. > :01:38.bookmakers insist the machines are not in themselves addictive, and are

:01:39. > :01:44.bringing in new regulations to help combat problem gambling.

:01:45. > :01:53.After losing his job, Martin Power time and redundancy money on his

:01:54. > :02:01.hands. On a bad day, he would lose ?1200 in a single session. To be

:02:02. > :02:07.dragged in for a crack cocahne hit, I found it uncontrollable. When your

:02:08. > :02:14.money has gone, you can not wait to get on it gain. You cannot sleep,

:02:15. > :02:19.you go home and you are thinking of getting it back again the ndxt day,

:02:20. > :02:24.but it does not work that w`y. The machines and largely to bet ?10 in

:02:25. > :02:30.22nd. The Campaign for Fairdr Gambling claims and gamblers lost

:02:31. > :02:37.?30 million last year. In Stssex, the loss is 29 million. Hotspots

:02:38. > :02:42.include Medway, Barnet and Brighton. This is what happens when you allow

:02:43. > :02:47.casino gaming in accessible areas, you speak them up and make ht a

:02:48. > :02:52.solitary activity on a machhne, and people can stake up to ?200 every 20

:02:53. > :02:59.seconds, a lot more than anx other fruit machine. The maximum stake

:03:00. > :03:04.needs to come down to ?2 of. The machines can provoke strong

:03:05. > :03:07.reactions. The industry says the scale of losses is being

:03:08. > :03:15.exaggerated, based on crude estimate. Most people bet ?7 55 and

:03:16. > :03:20.play for 20 minutes. You have to keep it in perspective, we have 8

:03:21. > :03:26.million customers, the majority that safely and responsibly. Martin Power

:03:27. > :03:30.is in no doubt. Get rid of them completely, they are as dangerous as

:03:31. > :03:36.any drug or any addiction. Hf it works you and you are not brave

:03:37. > :03:42.enough to stop, you will end up with nothing. Martin knows some will say

:03:43. > :03:46.he has got himself to blame, but he wants temptation taken away from

:03:47. > :03:47.others. Why has Martin Power decided to

:03:48. > :03:59.speak out now? This is one of the many bookmakers

:04:00. > :04:03.that he used to frequent, btt not any more, because he has now got a

:04:04. > :04:09.voluntary ban from every bookies in Thanet. He is speaking out not

:04:10. > :04:13.because he wants sympathy, but because he wants to warn others The

:04:14. > :04:20.kids say they have introducdd a new code, you can set a maximum level of

:04:21. > :04:24.what you want to spend or the length of time you want to play. Btt Martin

:04:25. > :04:29.wants to see reduced steaks or even a ban. Tonight, the governmdnt is

:04:30. > :04:32.indicating it does not plan to go down that route.

:04:33. > :04:35.Police in Sussex are investhgating a series of racist tweets sent to a

:04:36. > :04:39.female politician in Brighton. Purna Sen, who lives in the city `nd is

:04:40. > :04:41.Labour's parliamentary candhdate for the Brighton Pavilion seat, was

:04:42. > :04:45.repeatedly abused on the social`networking site Twitter last

:04:46. > :04:47.week. Campaigners have renewed calls for tougher laws to protect victims

:04:48. > :04:59.of online abuse. She shares comments and ide`s on

:05:00. > :05:04.social networking sites, but last week, bonus and found herself the

:05:05. > :05:11.subject of a barrage of rachst tweet from a stranger. The person told her

:05:12. > :05:14.that she should go back to her own country, questioned why she was

:05:15. > :05:21.still here and her right to remain in the country. You put your head

:05:22. > :05:25.above the parapet and you go into public life, you expect somd people

:05:26. > :05:30.to attack you, and as a brown skinned person, that is going to be

:05:31. > :05:36.part of what I am going to face but it does not make it pleasant. You

:05:37. > :05:40.expect it, but you feel, my goodness, is this still going on?

:05:41. > :05:47.Celebrities and politicians are targets. Jonathan Ross's wife

:05:48. > :05:51.deleted her account this wedk after he became the target of abusive

:05:52. > :05:56.messages. Two people were j`iled in January after sending a femhnist

:05:57. > :06:01.writer death threats by Twitter The MP for Walthamstow received rape

:06:02. > :06:06.threats, leading to increashng pressure on the side to revhew its

:06:07. > :06:12.procedures for reporting abtse. There should be more legisl`tion, we

:06:13. > :06:17.believe that social media ottlets should produce an external `udit to

:06:18. > :06:19.measure the cyber`bullying. What happened as a result, and what

:06:20. > :06:28.action was taken. That should be publicly available. The MP has taken

:06:29. > :06:32.steps to stop further tweet from the same account. The police ard

:06:33. > :06:36.investigating. The identity and whereabouts of the offender is not

:06:37. > :06:41.straightforward online. Those who have fallen victim feel mord should

:06:42. > :06:46.be done. The harm, hurt and pain it causes should not be belittled, I

:06:47. > :06:50.would not advocate anybody `ccept this sort of abuse.

:06:51. > :06:52.In a moment. Blazing a trail for the new

:06:53. > :06:53.apprenticeship scheme, our ferry companies welcome the latest

:06:54. > :07:05.initiative. In an effort to tackle childhood

:07:06. > :07:08.obesity, Medway Council is to start a public consultation over proposals

:07:09. > :07:14.to ban takeaways opening ne`r schools. The area has one of the

:07:15. > :07:18.highest rates of obesity in the country, more than one in fhve

:07:19. > :07:22.ten`year`olds are classed as obese. After the idea was first mooted a

:07:23. > :07:25.year ago, the council wants to know what residents thing about tsing

:07:26. > :07:27.planning laws to stop new ottlets opening within 400 metres of

:07:28. > :07:40.schools. A lunchtime takeaway for thdse

:07:41. > :07:42.pupils, but soon, schools could find themselves surrounded with `n

:07:43. > :07:48.exclusion zone, banning new fast food outlets. Not a great idea, we

:07:49. > :07:53.should be able to make our own decisions, and it will not be

:07:54. > :07:57.helpful for local businesses. The only people who are allowed are our

:07:58. > :08:03.age, you are old enough to decide what you should eat. The owners will

:08:04. > :08:09.lose out on revenue, and we will lose out on our chip shop! The

:08:10. > :08:14.proposed move comes after it emerges 20% of children in Medway are obese.

:08:15. > :08:18.Planning policy could be altered to make it harder to put new t`keaways

:08:19. > :08:24.near schools or in places whth an already high volume of fast food

:08:25. > :08:28.shops. Medway Council will `pprove a month`long public consultathon on

:08:29. > :08:33.the idea. Where there is a great entity of fast food outlets close to

:08:34. > :08:38.schools, there is a greater incidence of obesity. We wotld not

:08:39. > :08:43.consider consulting on it if we did not think it would work. Kings

:08:44. > :08:48.Rochester is yards from the town's High Street. It is an interdsting

:08:49. > :08:52.idea, you look at most teen`gers, they are capable of making choices

:08:53. > :08:58.for themselves. Prohibition very rarely works. It is an extrdme

:08:59. > :09:03.measure. If the pupils are lature enough, they can make the ddcisions

:09:04. > :09:06.themselves. Whether it is the right thing to do to focus on restricting

:09:07. > :09:11.businesses rather than educ`ting young people first and stopping them

:09:12. > :09:17.from eating the wrong things is a question. Medway Council insists the

:09:18. > :09:22.measure would be just one p`rt of ongoing efforts to tackle the issue

:09:23. > :09:25.of obesity. The public now look set to have their say.

:09:26. > :09:32.You've spent the day in Medway, what have the takeaway businesses there

:09:33. > :09:37.had to say about this? They consider themselves to be the fall gty is in

:09:38. > :09:43.this debate. I have spoken to the Federation of Small Businesses in

:09:44. > :09:50.Kent, they think that proposals like this Draconian. They urged the

:09:51. > :09:53.council to remember positivd impact that these businesses have on the

:09:54. > :09:57.High Street, the money they generate and the jobs that they create. The

:09:58. > :10:01.council are adamant this will have an effect, it will reduce obesity,

:10:02. > :10:05.and they compare it to publhc of campaigns like the smoking ban and

:10:06. > :10:08.seat belts. A powerful Parliamentary colmittee

:10:09. > :10:11.says Sussex Police made a sdrious mistake when it issued an MP and

:10:12. > :10:16.former minister with a warnhng notice relating to a speech he made

:10:17. > :10:19.in the House of Commons. Thd Commons Privileges Committee found the force

:10:20. > :10:22.to be in contempt of Parlialent for issuing a Police Information Notice

:10:23. > :10:25.to the East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton, who told the committee

:10:26. > :10:36.the force's actions had caused considerable stress.

:10:37. > :10:41.There has been a long enquiry, it has taken up a lot of time `nd

:10:42. > :10:45.taxpayers' resources, and the police have been found in serious breach of

:10:46. > :10:48.parliamentary privilege, a serious right to make sure that MPs can go

:10:49. > :10:54.about their job without fear or favour. There are serious qtestions

:10:55. > :10:56.to be answered, I hope therd will be a review.

:10:57. > :10:59.A 21`year`old man has been `rrested at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of

:11:00. > :11:03.receiving terrorist training abroad. The suspect was held after he got

:11:04. > :11:07.off a flight from Istanbul this afternoon. He was held on stspicion

:11:08. > :11:09.of an offence under Section Six of the Terrorism Act.

:11:10. > :11:12.The controversial multi`million`pound i360 project for

:11:13. > :11:18.Brighton seafront has been given the green light. In the last hotr,

:11:19. > :11:21.councillors agreed to doubld the amount of money they want to borrow

:11:22. > :11:24.from the Government. Planning permission for the 600`foot`tall

:11:25. > :11:27.tower was given seven years ago but the project hit the buffers when a

:11:28. > :11:35.major private backer pulled out last autumn.

:11:36. > :11:39.We would not have done this if we did not think this was a very good

:11:40. > :11:43.option. My view is that the financial risk is greater if we did

:11:44. > :11:49.nothing, because the structtres are coming to the end of their life we

:11:50. > :11:55.have got a repair bill, this is the only option on the table th`t will

:11:56. > :12:00.generate money. This looks as if it is actu`lly

:12:01. > :12:05.going to happen, when are wd likely to see the i360 being built? As far

:12:06. > :12:09.as the developers and counchllors are concerned, this was the last

:12:10. > :12:12.hurdle, they hope that work will get under way in the next three months

:12:13. > :12:19.and that the tower will be open by June 2016. What was agreed today was

:12:20. > :12:24.a loan of ?36 million from ` central government pot, administered by the

:12:25. > :12:30.council. They hope it will bring up to ?25 million the local economy,

:12:31. > :12:35.humming from the estimated 750, 00 visitors it is expected to bring in

:12:36. > :12:41.every year. But the scheme still has its critics. Yes, it was voted

:12:42. > :12:44.through here in the council chamber and our ago, it split the

:12:45. > :12:48.Conservative group and the Labour Party are posted. They disptte that

:12:49. > :12:53.the visitor numbers can be maintained. Even if it is money

:12:54. > :12:57.coming from the central govdrnment, they say, it is still taxpaxers

:12:58. > :13:06.money that is at risk. This is our top story tonight.

:13:07. > :13:09.A man who lost ?25,000 on hhgh stakes betting machines has joined

:13:10. > :13:14.calls for them to be banned. Martin Power said it was like being

:13:15. > :13:19.addicted to a drug. Campaigners say gamblers here lost more than six to

:13:20. > :13:22.?5 million on fixed odds betting terminals last year.

:13:23. > :13:26.Also in tonight's programme. Charlton are one victory aw`y from a

:13:27. > :13:32.Wembley semifinal, two victories away from the FA Cup final.

:13:33. > :13:35.Later, I will tell you about my new drama courses here in Kent.

:13:36. > :13:39.If you have a story you think we should be covering on South East

:13:40. > :13:43.Today, we'd like to hear from you. You can call us on 0845 300 37 7,

:13:44. > :13:46.or send us an e`mail to southeasttoday@bbc.co.uk. Wd are

:13:47. > :13:52.also on Facebook, or you can tweet us, @bbcsoutheast.

:13:53. > :13:56.Ferry companies in Kent are welcoming an announcement that ship

:13:57. > :13:59.ratings, doing roles in enghneering, navigation, catering and others

:14:00. > :14:04.will be included as one of the Governments Trailblazer

:14:05. > :14:06.apprenticeships. It's billed as a new kind of apprenticeship training

:14:07. > :14:11.to meet standards required by employers. Last year, half ` million

:14:12. > :14:15.people started an apprenticdship. That's up more than 200,000 on a

:14:16. > :14:17.couple of years ago. The Government hopes that by 2018 all new

:14:18. > :14:32.apprenticeships will be Trailblazers.

:14:33. > :14:38.A young man learning his tr`de on an apprenticeship scheme aboard a

:14:39. > :14:47.cross`channel ferry. In this case, the teacher is also his father. It

:14:48. > :14:50.is an easier way to learn, people learning in the classrooms `re not

:14:51. > :14:56.doing the job, but if you are doing the job, you will be better at it.

:14:57. > :15:00.In this job, you need to be hands`on, you cannot learn hn a

:15:01. > :15:07.classroom. You need to be ott here with the crew that you are working

:15:08. > :15:15.with. This is one of the colpanies offering Trailblazer

:15:16. > :15:18.apprenticeships. I am trainhng to become an able seaman. He w`s at

:15:19. > :15:25.Downing Street today with the Chancellor, he talked about the new

:15:26. > :15:32.scheme. This is the employers getting involved with us, s`ying,

:15:33. > :15:35.this is what you need, which means a lot to the apprentices, you know

:15:36. > :15:39.what you are learning is relevant to the jobs that you are doing.

:15:40. > :15:43.Apprenticeship schemes are ` great alternative to college, not

:15:44. > :15:47.everybody wants to go to college, this is an agility to get into a

:15:48. > :15:57.career for life, to learn a new skill and to get yourself onto a

:15:58. > :15:59.fantastic career. Brandon hopes the apprenticeships will help hhm

:16:00. > :16:04.achieve his dream of captaining a ferry within a decade. The

:16:05. > :16:08.government hopes it will increase the quality of apprenticeshhps and,

:16:09. > :16:15.as they put it, but employers in the driving seat.

:16:16. > :16:19.Over the last few years, a fishmonger's in East Sussex has been

:16:20. > :16:24.steadily building its reput`tion for providing really good fish. Now all

:16:25. > :16:27.the hard work put in by Veasey and Sons in Forest Row could be

:16:28. > :16:30.recognised with a national `ward. They pride themselves on getting the

:16:31. > :16:32.freshest produce they can, `nd judges, including the formidable

:16:33. > :16:34.MasterChef critic Charles C`mpion, have short listed them for BBC Radio

:16:35. > :16:49.4's Food Retailer of the Ye`r. They are sticking their nosds into

:16:50. > :16:53.this fishy business, the judges are here from BBC Radio 4 to sed whether

:16:54. > :16:57.these young sons should be named food retailer of the year. One of

:16:58. > :17:01.those who will decide is Ch`rles Campion from MasterChef, he thinks

:17:02. > :17:06.this fishmonger 's is doing a great job, as he believes we have a tricky

:17:07. > :17:12.relationship with seafood. Hn our hearts, we crave having it battered

:17:13. > :17:15.or as a fish finger. It is ` pity, properly prepared fish is one of the

:17:16. > :17:20.great treat. We know we shotld be eating better things, this hs a

:17:21. > :17:26.better thing. That is why fhshmonger 's are imported. Easy and Sons has

:17:27. > :17:29.become an institution here. But the successful business has been far

:17:30. > :17:35.from immune to the recent b`d weather. Fewer fish being c`ught

:17:36. > :17:42.means higher prices. Increases of between 30 to 40%. The less there is

:17:43. > :17:46.of one Fish, the more peopld will pay at market, which dictatds our

:17:47. > :17:51.price. People noticed a price rise, but they were understanding.

:17:52. > :17:57.Sometimes, my husband will say, wow, and I say, divide that by two or

:17:58. > :18:02.four, if we are having people for a meal, it is no more expensive than

:18:03. > :18:07.meat. The business has its own boat, but the bad weather h`s

:18:08. > :18:11.limited its days at sea, and the boat is currently out of thd water.

:18:12. > :18:16.Since Christmas, it has been hard to get a decent amount of a regular

:18:17. > :18:20.supply of fish, the prices have gone up, because we have been having to

:18:21. > :18:26.purchase fish from Iceland `nd Norway. The only way is up, things

:18:27. > :18:30.are going to get better. Thd good weather lifts the spirits, `nd if it

:18:31. > :18:34.continues, it will help the business. A food award would not

:18:35. > :18:38.help's not hurt, either. And you can hear more about the

:18:39. > :18:44.judges' visit on BBC Radio 4's You And Yours programme on Frid`y, after

:18:45. > :18:47.midday. She's the former EastEnder whose

:18:48. > :18:51.on`screen death was one of the programme's most talked`abott

:18:52. > :18:54.storylines for years. Now, Cheryl Fergison, who played Heather Trott,

:18:55. > :18:56.is putting her Albert Squard experiences to good use, setting up

:18:57. > :19:15.her own drama school in Kent. What can I get you? She bec`me a

:19:16. > :19:19.household name playing Heather Trott, but today, Cheryl Fergison

:19:20. > :19:22.was being upstaged by the ptpils here. I'd used to be on East

:19:23. > :19:58.Enders, accessible to those less well off. I

:19:59. > :20:03.would live to give those pl`ces free to people who can not afford to go.

:20:04. > :20:09.At the moment, I am tweeting like mad, I cannot tell you, to try and

:20:10. > :20:13.get companies on board and individuals who would like to

:20:14. > :20:19.sponsor a dog person for a week `` sponsor a young person. I al from a

:20:20. > :20:25.family who cannot afford expensive courses, and this would givd me a

:20:26. > :20:31.lot of help. This student ndeds an extension on her feminist poetry

:20:32. > :20:36.essay. Cheryl has got some `dvice for the next generation of stars. Be

:20:37. > :20:42.prepared to be knocked down 90% of the time and be prepared to get up

:20:43. > :20:47.again and say, I will go to the next audition, and I will keep going I

:20:48. > :20:54.will find out what it is yot want, and I will give it to you. She is

:20:55. > :20:57.still putting smiles on facds. Kent's golden girl Lizzy Yarnold,

:20:58. > :21:00.who won Britain's only gold medal at the Winter Olympics, has bedn

:21:01. > :21:04.granted an open`top bus par`de in her honour. The parade for the

:21:05. > :21:07.25`year`old skeleton athletd will take place on Friday 21st M`rch

:21:08. > :21:14.beginning in Sevenoaks and dnding in her home village of West Kingsdown.

:21:15. > :21:19.And after Lizzy was given the honour of flag bearing at the Wintdr

:21:20. > :21:22.Olympics closing ceremony, the South East is to get another flag bearer,

:21:23. > :21:25.this time at the Paralympic Games in Sochi. 15`year`old Millie Knight,

:21:26. > :21:29.who is Britain's youngest`ever Paralympian, will carry the flag at

:21:30. > :21:31.the opening ceremony tomorrow. The visually`impaired Canterburx

:21:32. > :21:40.schoolgirl will be competing in the skiing.

:21:41. > :21:44.This morning, I was told I had a meeting, I was not sure what it was

:21:45. > :21:50.about at all. I thought, and I in trouble? I was in the meeting and

:21:51. > :21:54.they were like, as you might be aware, the opening ceremony is

:21:55. > :21:58.tomorrow, and we would like you to be our flag bearer. It was `mazing!

:21:59. > :22:01.Quite a facial expression! Charlton Athletic are just one

:22:02. > :22:04.victory away from a Wembley semifinal, ` and two wins from the

:22:05. > :22:08.FA Cup final itself. Over 5,000 fans, many from the South E`st, will

:22:09. > :22:17.be going to Sheffield United on Sunday for their quarterfin`l tie.

:22:18. > :22:24.The shorts were back here and the commentators less passionatd,

:22:25. > :22:28.perhaps, but Charlton's 1947 FA Cup success remains a high point. The

:22:29. > :22:36.trophy retains its indefinable magic to this day. I am frightened to

:22:37. > :22:40.touch it! There is a big gale to negotiate before we can talk about

:22:41. > :22:45.Wembley or the semifinals. Ht is a tough game. But I think it hs a

:22:46. > :22:51.wonderful competition, I always have done. People of my age and older,

:22:52. > :22:55.you grew up on that game, the showpiece game of the season. The

:22:56. > :22:58.Charlton players have struggled for much of this season and are aware

:22:59. > :23:03.how important victory on Sunday would be. It would be huge. This

:23:04. > :23:11.club has been through the mhll in the last five, ten years, coming out

:23:12. > :23:15.of the Premier League and down to League One. We are on the w`y back

:23:16. > :23:21.now, and it would be a reward to all the fans for their loyalty. It is 67

:23:22. > :23:26.years since Charlton last triumphed in the FA Cup final. It still

:23:27. > :23:30.matters, but only if they avoid relegation. I would not want to see

:23:31. > :23:36.Charlton go down under any circumstances, that includes the

:23:37. > :23:44.cup. I was there in 1947, I was 16. I enjoyed it, although it w`s not a

:23:45. > :23:50.brilliant game. It is an important cup, definitely. It is big,

:23:51. > :23:54.moneywise. We realise that. But at the moment, we are down the bottom

:23:55. > :24:00.of the league, and these gales have to be put in hand. It may bd some

:24:01. > :24:08.time before Charlton win thd cup again, but a trip to Wemblex is

:24:09. > :24:12.definitely on the cards. You would not have thought this a

:24:13. > :24:16.few weeks ago, but we have had the hottest day of the year so far, and

:24:17. > :24:18.it has been a really lovely. Sunny, warm, dry.

:24:19. > :24:30.Yes, we were the warmest pl`ce in the country. We saw 15.5 degrees in

:24:31. > :24:33.Gravesend. All of us have h`d sunshine and a warm afternoon. The

:24:34. > :24:39.warmest temperature of the xear so far. Over the next couple of days,

:24:40. > :24:44.cloud around tomorrow, but hnto next week, this area of high pressure.

:24:45. > :24:50.That means we will see lots of welcome dry weather, very w`rm

:24:51. > :24:55.sunshine, some frosty starts, but by the afternoon, it will be clear blue

:24:56. > :25:00.skies. Earlier, lots of cle`r blue sky. A bit more cloud cover as we

:25:01. > :25:01.went through the afternoon, but on the whole, it has been very pleasant

:25:02. > :25:17.indeed. The wind picked up a little bit As

:25:18. > :25:20.we go into tonight, initially, clearer skies, we start to see a bit

:25:21. > :25:24.more cloud cover towards thd early hours of tomorrow morning, but

:25:25. > :25:32.mostly, we stay dry. It is puite a mild night. The temperatures hold up

:25:33. > :25:37.along the coast. As we start the day tomorrow, cloud cover, and ` week

:25:38. > :25:45.weather front, which clears. Behind it, high pressure builds, whth some

:25:46. > :25:49.clearer skies. Quite a mild and cloudy start tomorrow, the rain is

:25:50. > :25:51.patchy and light, clearing through by the afternoon. Behind it, quite

:25:52. > :26:06.similar temperatures to tod`y. The south`westerly breeze. @s we go

:26:07. > :26:12.from Friday over into Saturday, the clearer sky again. The tempdratures

:26:13. > :26:18.are not particularly cold. Ht holds up along the coast. As we start

:26:19. > :26:22.Saturday, a bit more cloud cover around, but the high pressure is

:26:23. > :26:26.going to build, and by the afternoon, lots of sunshine. The

:26:27. > :26:33.wind is often as well. The temperature could reach 15 or 1

:26:34. > :26:38.degrees. A clearer sky means that as we go into Sunday, it is a cold

:26:39. > :26:42.night. As we go through the day on Sunday, lots of sunshine from the

:26:43. > :26:50.word go. It will be a warm `t a warm day than Saturday. Potentially a bit

:26:51. > :26:56.of cloud from Sunday into Monday, but as we head through the week

:26:57. > :27:00.lots of sunshine, a cold st`rt to the day, but lots of sunshine, it

:27:01. > :27:05.will be warm. You cannot argue with that!

:27:06. > :27:13.The top national and local stories. Theresa May has announced a public

:27:14. > :27:16.enquiry into undercover polhcing in response to a damning review of the

:27:17. > :27:21.original Stephen Lawrence mtrder investigation.

:27:22. > :27:24.A Kent man who lost ?25,000 on high stakes betting machines has joined

:27:34. > :27:35.obesity, Medway Council will start a public consultation over proposals

:27:36. > :27:40.to ban takeaways from opening near schools.

:27:41. > :27:45.We will have the late bulletin. We will see you tomorrow. Goodbye.
