:00:00. > 3:59:59There's more throughout the evening on the BBC News Channel and I will

:00:00. > :00:09.Good evening. be back with the

:00:10. > :00:11.A Sussex woman, who raised concerns about hdr

:00:12. > :00:13.mother's treatment at the E`stbourne District General Hospital, has set

:00:14. > :00:16.up a pressure group, demandhng improvements to the services there.

:00:17. > :00:18.Betsy Langford won a legal case against the hospital,

:00:19. > :00:40.Working for a change. Betsy Langford's mother was receiving

:00:41. > :00:45.treatment at the Eastbourne General Hospital when she fell and broke her

:00:46. > :00:49.arm. Betsy Langford has lodged a pressure group to support other

:00:50. > :00:54.patients. I realised it was not just her, I watched other people having

:00:55. > :01:02.the same issues. This is not good enough. We deserve, as a colmunity,

:01:03. > :01:07.better than this. Is the general view that NHS is overstretched and

:01:08. > :01:10.does not have the necessary funds and people do not want to

:01:11. > :01:15.necessarily complain about the treatment that they are a loved one

:01:16. > :01:20.have received. Our hospital trust has been investigated by thd Care

:01:21. > :01:24.Quality Commission, what I will say truthfully is that I have h`d quite

:01:25. > :01:28.a large rubber of constituents contacting me with concerns about

:01:29. > :01:35.certain areas of care and elderly care is one of them. `` quite a

:01:36. > :01:40.large number. The local trust said that the vast majority of p`tients

:01:41. > :01:43.received good quality, safe and competitive care. And that hf a

:01:44. > :01:47.patient or their family as concerns then they should read it with the

:01:48. > :01:51.staff and the advice and li`ison services. As for Betsy Langford she

:01:52. > :01:54.said that her campaign will continue for others. Had promised my mother

:01:55. > :02:00.that I would. It is that silple A 26`year`old man's been arrested,

:02:01. > :02:01.after reports of two people threatened at gunpoint

:02:02. > :02:04.in Tonbridge last night. Armed officers were called to

:02:05. > :02:06.a house in Wilson Road at around half seven,

:02:07. > :02:09.where they recovered an air pistol. A man from Hildenborough relains

:02:10. > :02:11.in custody on suspicion of making threats to kill,

:02:12. > :02:14.and possessing a firearm with intent A 22`year`old man from Kent has been

:02:15. > :02:23.charged under the Football Offences Act, after running onto

:02:24. > :02:25.a pitch during a premiership match. Jordan Matthew Dunn

:02:26. > :02:28.from Dover ran from the stands to take a free kick, during thd game

:02:29. > :02:30.between Tottenham Hotspur and His shot was saved by

:02:31. > :02:46.the goalkeeper, then he was chased His shot was saved by the goalkeeper

:02:47. > :02:48.and then he was chased before being arrested.

:02:49. > :02:51.Charlton won a dramatic latd victory against Wigan in the Championship.

:02:52. > :02:55.The win means the Addicks are sixth in the table, but the game was

:02:56. > :02:57.marred by an argument betwedn the managers at the final whistle.

:02:58. > :03:00.With details of this and the weekend's other fixtures,

:03:01. > :03:10.. Now one likes to lose in football matches and no one wants to lose in

:03:11. > :03:15.the 94th minute. The Charlton manager was delighted and pdrhaps

:03:16. > :03:20.celebrated too readily. So when he came to shake his opposite number at

:03:21. > :03:26.hand it was not welcomed. You can understand the disappointment,

:03:27. > :03:33.because a second`half replacement needed a hand to pick the go away.

:03:34. > :03:40.With the second goal I was dmotional and I went to his corner, I do not

:03:41. > :03:45.think I went to his corner `nd he did not say very nice things to me

:03:46. > :03:51.and pushed me away. Brighton went to Birmingham and returned. `` and

:03:52. > :03:59.returned with nothing. No goals and no points. The manager is not happy.

:04:00. > :04:06.In League 1, one goal is all that it was needed as Crawley took on

:04:07. > :04:09.Swindon. The Crawley manager would be pleased with his side positive

:04:10. > :04:19.start to the season and so true gelling 's manager, Joe Martin made

:04:20. > :04:20.it 1`0 after 35 minutes. It was made 2`0 ten minutes into the second

:04:21. > :04:23.half. Kent's Adam Gemili has pickdd up

:04:24. > :04:26.a second gold medal at the Duropean The 20`year`old

:04:27. > :04:29.from Dartford led the men's 4 by 100 metres team to glory, on

:04:30. > :04:32.the final day of the compethtion. He'd already claimed Gold

:04:33. > :04:35.in the 200 metres on Friday, Let's see how the weather is

:04:36. > :04:54.looking. As we have come through this weekend

:04:55. > :05:01.we have seen the wind picked through this afternoon. We have somd

:05:02. > :05:03.blustery showers being pushdd towards us through north`westerly

:05:04. > :05:08.winds especially through thd second half of the afternoon. A slhghtly

:05:09. > :05:12.autumnal feel to the weather developing, especially throtgh the

:05:13. > :05:15.next few days. Tonight we h`ve some clear spells, and enough wind to

:05:16. > :05:20.keep the temperature is up hn double figures. That will not be the story

:05:21. > :05:24.right through the weekend. Tomorrow morning and right across Kent and

:05:25. > :05:27.Sussex and into London it whll start dry with some good plate or sunny

:05:28. > :05:32.weather, with cloves developing through the day and eventually the

:05:33. > :05:36.wind will start to push the showers towards us from the north and west.

:05:37. > :05:40.All of us at risk of seeing the showers, but some places will avoid

:05:41. > :05:45.them. When we get the showers it will feel cruel at times and in fact

:05:46. > :05:49.we continue to see this northerly winds developing as we go through

:05:50. > :05:53.but largely starting to space out in the middle part of the week. We run

:05:54. > :05:58.the risk of some showers and some cool nights through the week ahead.

:05:59. > :06:08.That is it from me. I am back at quarter past ten tonight. Goodbye.

:06:09. > :06:16.Good evening. It was a slow start for England and Wales. We got there

:06:17. > :06:21.in the end today. A cloudy morning, with some outbreaks of rain. As that

:06:22. > :06:25.weather front sank south, breaks in the cloud developed. Different

:06:26. > :06:30.further north - it stayed windy and wet, with showers and longer spells

:06:31. > :06:36.of rain at times. That low area of pressure drifts off to the east A

:06:37. > :06:40.few showers drifting further south, inWales and northern England.

:06:41. > :06:44.The strongest of the winds first thing tomorrow morning across the

:06:45. > :06:51.far north-east of Scotland. Rough seas. Hopefully fewer showers than

:06:52. > :06:56.we have seen today. A cloudy start and we run the risk of a few showers

:06:57. > :07:04.through Wales, the Midlands, into the south-east corner. By the end of

:07:05. > :07:07.the day to North Sea-facing coasts. As we move towards Tuesday, we run

:07:08. > :07:08.the risk
