:20:50. > :20:52.was looted by the Nazis. You cannot forgive it so easily with something
:20:53. > :20:57.that happens in war, anything that happens in war but the stealing
:20:58. > :21:00.property from even the belligerent, not even the people who were
:21:01. > :21:06.fighting, just ordinary innocent citizens because they were Jewish.
:21:07. > :21:10.In a mountain cave near the garden, the secret treasure trove was
:21:11. > :21:13.located by American soldiers. Like many Jewish families in World War II
:21:14. > :21:21.the Nazis abraded campus houses and commerce credit card. This footage
:21:22. > :21:24.shows American soldiers discovering Hermann Goring's Sigrid collection.
:21:25. > :21:30.This is depicted the struggle of a woman to be wrote reunited with some
:21:31. > :21:35.of the paintings by Gustav Klimt. Hitler would have first choice,
:21:36. > :21:40.Hermann Goring, the senior leaders would have a chance to acquire and
:21:41. > :21:45.take them. Some were sold on the art market. It did in fact room in the
:21:46. > :21:51.Nazi occupation of Europe because there were hundreds of works of art
:21:52. > :21:56.flooding the market. The Nazis continue their obligation -- --
:21:57. > :21:59.occupation and Vernon came to England on the Kindertransport. His
:22:00. > :22:03.father and grandparents were sent to a concentration camp. The painting
:22:04. > :22:07.ended up in the hands of some art dealers before it was finally
:22:08. > :22:13.purchased by a museum in Hanover. Were it hangs today. After five
:22:14. > :22:20.years of wrangling the museum has agreed to give back the watercolour.
:22:21. > :22:24.We would like a more positive effort from German museums and art
:22:25. > :22:29.galleries and say that really we should try and find the family to
:22:30. > :22:34.give this back to because it was obtained wrongly. While the family's
:22:35. > :22:40.efforts have paid off it is a bitter sweet victory, he says.
:22:41. > :22:43.A man from Brighton is celebrating the safe return of their beloved
:22:44. > :22:45.exotic pet, a genet, after it went missing
:22:46. > :22:47.and turned up in Bedforshire - after apparently falling asleep
:22:48. > :22:57.Genets are originally from Africa and although they look like a cat,
:22:58. > :22:59.they're actually belong to a different species.
:23:00. > :23:01.They are solitary animals in the wild, although they are very
:23:02. > :23:04.friendly if they're socialised as a kitten, but once they've
:23:05. > :23:06.bonded with a family, they don't cope well with change
:23:07. > :23:10.Which is why Kyle Watson is so delighted to be
:23:11. > :23:24.Sometimes he will rub his face up against you. Like a cat. Glad to
:23:25. > :23:33.have him back after 18 days away from home. The genet went missing
:23:34. > :23:37.just before Christmas. It was a one-week period, then a week and a
:23:38. > :23:41.half and by this point we had had minus weather out there. It was so
:23:42. > :23:45.cold. He is from Africa. I was thinking, he's gone. Four days he
:23:46. > :23:52.went looking for his four-legged friend in the early hours hoping to
:23:53. > :23:55.find him. He was eventually found in Milton Keynes, 150 miles away, where
:23:56. > :24:00.he was taken to a veterinary surgery. I have never seen anything
:24:01. > :24:07.like this in my professional life. I have been a vet 20 years. We have
:24:08. > :24:11.not had any locally. It was a bit of a learning experience. The family
:24:12. > :24:19.had to look after the genet from three days old, meaning feeding
:24:20. > :24:25.every two house for six months. Two years later the bond between man and
:24:26. > :24:28.beast is strong. I got upset and tearful and emotional more on the
:24:29. > :24:35.way home when I was on my own with him. Because out there it was
:24:36. > :24:42.overwhelming. I did not believe... Is this a dream? I have got him
:24:43. > :24:46.back. You missed him, why is that? Because he is such a character
:24:47. > :24:48.around the house. The family is taking steps to make sure that he
:24:49. > :25:00.never gets lost again. It is going to be called in the
:25:01. > :25:09.snow. Rachel is herewith the forecast. The snow we have talked
:25:10. > :25:13.about has eventually arrived. Expect to see between four and five
:25:14. > :25:19.centimetres falling widely, maybe more over higher ground. Earlier it
:25:20. > :25:24.was falling as rain. It has been turning into sleet and snow. The
:25:25. > :25:29.reason for that is these bitterly cold wind is coming in from the
:25:30. > :25:33.north-west. Going through tonight that is mostly falling as snow. It
:25:34. > :25:38.is going to be very unsettled in the first part of the evening and then
:25:39. > :25:43.clearing. The wind is really picking up with that system as well. Gusting
:25:44. > :25:50.40 to 50 mph on the south coast. Bitterly cold temperatures. Anything
:25:51. > :25:53.falling on the ground will freeze. Minus two or three degrees is
:25:54. > :25:58.possible in rural areas and widely dropping below freezing in towns and
:25:59. > :26:03.cities. First thing tomorrow morning, problems with ice. Met
:26:04. > :26:06.office warnings as we go through the day and on Friday temperatures stay
:26:07. > :26:12.at freezing on the ground and we expect more outbreaks of rain, sleet
:26:13. > :26:16.and snow in the morning. Frosty, I see. Take care if you're out and
:26:17. > :26:20.about on the road first thing. This is the weather front we will see in
:26:21. > :26:24.the morning. Tightly spaced isobars and the direction of the winds,
:26:25. > :26:27.coming from the north-west, indicating blustery and bitterly
:26:28. > :26:34.cold. First thing, some brightness and some cloud. Unsettled for a
:26:35. > :26:37.time. That clears and again really blustery, temperatures by the
:26:38. > :26:43.afternoon reaching highs may be of four degrees but with the wind chill
:26:44. > :26:47.feeling like subzero. As we finish on Friday, mostly dry with clearing
:26:48. > :26:50.skies and as a result these temperatures are really plummeting.
:26:51. > :26:57.Overnight lows from Friday, going into Saturday, -3, maybe minus four
:26:58. > :27:02.degrees. Another very hard frost as we start on Saturday. And we stayed
:27:03. > :27:05.bitterly cold as well. Heading through the day the chance of a
:27:06. > :27:10.winter flurry. For the most part we stay dry. Temperatures at five or 6
:27:11. > :27:16.degrees. With the wind, feeling cooler. In the South east corner
:27:17. > :27:20.over into Sunday we will see some rain, mostly falling as rain, but a
:27:21. > :27:26.very grey, cold and not pleasant day. Into the new week for Monday
:27:27. > :27:31.and Tuesday and a risk of unsettled weather, staying bitterly cold. In
:27:32. > :27:35.the next 24 hours, do take care with potential problems for black eyes
:27:36. > :27:41.tomorrow morning. That is not looking good at all, Rachel. Thank
:27:42. > :27:47.you very much for that. Sara Smith is in Crowborough. Warnings for
:27:48. > :27:57.travellers to night, Sarah? -- tonight # it only started snowing
:27:58. > :28:00.about one hour ago. -- tonight? People are being warned not to go
:28:01. > :28:04.out at all that they can help it because black ice on the road. At
:28:05. > :28:08.Gatwick Airport six flights have already been cancelled so far. They
:28:09. > :28:14.say people need to check before travel. There is gritting on the
:28:15. > :28:16.roads but people are saying there are are already treacherous
:28:17. > :28:20.conditions and people are struggling. For the trains, no
:28:21. > :28:25.updates yet apart from check before you travel. If you are a Southern
:28:26. > :28:29.Rail customer, from midnight they will not be any trains because of
:28:30. > :28:34.the strike action. OK, thank you. That is about it for now. We will
:28:35. > :28:37.have more about the situation with the weather at eight o'clock and
:28:38. > :28:39.half past ten. And I will be back tomorrow. Keep in touch on local
:28:40. > :28:44.radio and online as well. Goodbye. Bring on the boys.
:28:45. > :28:56.Potential is massive with you. The stage is yours. When you're born
