:00:07. > :00:12.Welcome to South East Today, I'm Natalie Graham.

:00:13. > :00:13.And I'm Rob Smith. Tonight's top stories.

:00:14. > :00:16.The Home Secretary pledges to do more to tackle sexual exploitation,

:00:17. > :00:17.following our exclusive investigation into so

:00:18. > :00:27.2,500 jobs are set to come to Bluewater

:00:28. > :00:33.as the shopping centre announces huge expansion plans.

:00:34. > :00:37.The mother of a toddler who drank methadone and died breaks down in

:00:38. > :00:38.court. Verging on extinction -

:00:39. > :00:40.the campaign to save rare flowers which exist only on roadsides

:00:41. > :00:43.and a regimental restoration for the Queen's Own Buffs -

:00:44. > :00:45.who've reopened their chapel The Home Secretary and Hastings MP

:00:46. > :01:00.Amber Rudd has told this programme that tackling sexual exploitation

:01:01. > :01:06.is a key government priority. It follows our investigation

:01:07. > :01:12.into adverts offering Charities have condemned

:01:13. > :01:13."sex-for-rent" as exploitative It comes as another South East MP

:01:14. > :01:33.has revealed he plans to raise Somewhere to live for those who have

:01:34. > :01:37.nowhere to go. Adverts offering free accommodation with sex as payment.

:01:38. > :01:42.Our investigation has prompted calls for action to be taken across the

:01:43. > :01:46.UK. I'm extremely concerned, horrified, Ashley to read the report

:01:47. > :01:49.is a member refers to and the Minister for Housing has written to

:01:50. > :01:54.the website concerned that posted these adverts, asking them to take

:01:55. > :01:57.action. Today the Home Secretary told me that she cared deeply about

:01:58. > :02:05.this issue. In a statement, she said... She says that protecting

:02:06. > :02:10.women and girls and tackling exploitation are both key government

:02:11. > :02:14.priorities. Despite the reaction to our investigation, more adverts are

:02:15. > :02:21.appearing on craigslist every single day. Last week, this one on East

:02:22. > :02:24.Grinstead offering accommodation to a passive female partner to attend

:02:25. > :02:29.adult parties. One in Canterbury was posted this morning aimed at

:02:30. > :02:35.Aviemore student on a friends with benefits basis. And one in

:02:36. > :02:39.Sittingbourne offering in exchange for sex four times a week and basic

:02:40. > :02:42.help with the upkeep of the house. These adverts show a bigger problem

:02:43. > :02:46.in this country which is that there is just not enough affordable

:02:47. > :02:51.housing for young people who have no roast ago, and too often, young

:02:52. > :02:55.people have to take some desperate measure to find a roof for the

:02:56. > :03:00.night. One Southeast politician says that he will raise the issue as a

:03:01. > :03:04.matter of urgency. I have two days left in Parliament before the

:03:05. > :03:07.general election and I intend to do everything I can do drag an answer

:03:08. > :03:10.out of the government, before the election. We haven't got time to

:03:11. > :03:12.wait until after the election because vulnerable young people are

:03:13. > :03:18.being put at risk right now because of these websites. We need an answer

:03:19. > :03:21.now. We have approached craigslist several time for comets but have had

:03:22. > :03:31.no response. One landlord who didn't want to go on camera defended his

:03:32. > :03:36.ardour, saying... -- defended his advert. Charities out that this

:03:37. > :03:42.could be addressed as soon as this summer. -- charities hope that.

:03:43. > :03:45.A mother broke down in tears in court today as she described

:03:46. > :03:47.how she tried desperately to save her two-year-old daughter's

:03:48. > :03:49.life after she had taken the heroin substitute methadone.

:03:50. > :03:51.Frankie Hedgecock died after swallowing the drug

:03:52. > :03:53.which her mother had left out in the sitting room

:03:54. > :04:02.Lucy King, who's 39, denies manslaughter by gross

:04:03. > :04:05.Piers Hopkirk has been at Maidstone Crown Court today

:04:06. > :04:16.Lucy King took to the witness stand and told the jury that she had been

:04:17. > :04:26.a long-term methadone user and that a long-term methadone user and

:04:27. > :04:26.ordinarily, she would go to the ordinarily, she would go to the

:04:27. > :04:27.pharmacy and take the drug under close

:04:28. > :04:29.what she had been doing is going to what she had been doing is going to

:04:30. > :04:34.a friend and buying pop-up doses of the drug and taking it at home. In

:04:35. > :04:37.June 2015 she said that one evening, she had full back-up with methadone,

:04:38. > :04:43.with a view to taking up the following morning, but when that

:04:44. > :04:46.morning arrived she saw that the cup was empty and realised that

:04:47. > :04:49.two-year-old Frankie had taken it, with, of course, fatal consequences.

:04:50. > :05:00.She admits that she panicked. She says she tried to make frankly sick,

:05:01. > :05:05.but that hadn't worked. It had been very distressing, so she had stopped

:05:06. > :05:08.that. She said as time progressed, Frankie was nationally showing any

:05:09. > :05:14.signs of being sick and she started believing that she perhaps had not

:05:15. > :05:18.taken the drug at all. But, then, a couple of hours later, Frankie

:05:19. > :05:22.actually stopped breathing and she broke down in tears as she described

:05:23. > :05:27.how she had tried to resuscitating. Frankie was taken to hospital, but

:05:28. > :05:35.she died a few short hours later. Lucy King denies the charges against

:05:36. > :05:39.and the case continues. In a moment, after the murder of Shana Grice,

:05:40. > :05:41.Sussex Police introduce specialist training for officers to help them

:05:42. > :05:48.recognise stalking. The South East's biggest shopping

:05:49. > :05:51.centre is to expand, Bluewater in Dartford has been given

:05:52. > :05:57.planning permission for five separate extensions to the main

:05:58. > :05:59.shopping centre, Our reporter Simon Jones

:06:00. > :06:04.joins us live now Simon, what else do

:06:05. > :06:18.the plans include? Bluewater already occupies a huge

:06:19. > :06:23.amount of their former quarry behind me. If you are a regular shopper

:06:24. > :06:27.there you will know that doing a circuit of the place can take quite

:06:28. > :06:30.a long time, and it is going to get even bigger. Under these plans some

:06:31. > :06:36.of the buildings are going to be demolished. Others are going to be

:06:37. > :06:42.rebuilt. There are plans to move the lake. Interestingly, they are not

:06:43. > :06:46.actually going to add to the car parking spaces. Some raised eyebrows

:06:47. > :06:51.about that. And we are not sure which new retailers may come in.

:06:52. > :06:55.What have the management at Bluewater had to say about this?

:06:56. > :07:00.They say they are pleased the planning application has been

:07:01. > :07:03.approved. They want to continue to add to a continuing -- compelling

:07:04. > :07:07.customer experience. There has been some concerns raised by neighbouring

:07:08. > :07:11.councils fear that this place already has the monopoly and a

:07:12. > :07:12.detrimental affect on the town centres, and also, concern about how

:07:13. > :07:18.traffic in the area will cope. Sussex Police still needs

:07:19. > :07:21.to do more to recognise the crime of stalking according

:07:22. > :07:23.to the county's Police Crime Commissioner,

:07:24. > :07:25.as it emerged that more than 200 people had reported the offence

:07:26. > :07:27.last year, with a sharp

:07:28. > :07:28.increase towards Christmas. An investigation is already

:07:29. > :07:30.underway into the force's treatment of Shana Grice,

:07:31. > :07:36.a young woman from Portslade who was killed by her

:07:37. > :07:38.stalker last summer. As John Young now explains,

:07:39. > :07:40.Sussex Police has now become one of the first forces in the country

:07:41. > :07:43.to bring in specialist training

:07:44. > :07:46.for its officers. Shana Grice is a name that

:07:47. > :07:49.haunts Sussex Police. More than five times she told them

:07:50. > :07:52.that Michael Lane was stalking her and on one occasion, she told her

:07:53. > :07:55.she was wasting their time. Today the county's Police

:07:56. > :07:58.and Crime Commissioner admitted to the BBC that the force's response

:07:59. > :08:01.to stalking in general, as she put it,

:08:02. > :08:04."wasn't what it should be". I think it's very

:08:05. > :08:05.difficult for police officers to understand in the first

:08:06. > :08:08.instance the severity of the crime of stalking because, often,

:08:09. > :08:10.incidents are reported in isolation and what we want to see

:08:11. > :08:14.is police officers actually joining up

:08:15. > :08:16.the dots and understanding that this

:08:17. > :08:18.is about a pattern of abuse. So, in a training centre

:08:19. > :08:20.in Worthing today, The training is

:08:21. > :08:27.organised by a stalking victim herself, who now runs

:08:28. > :08:30.courses to raise awareness. It's extremely encouraging,

:08:31. > :08:32.and they are engaging And that's the whole point

:08:33. > :08:38.of what we're doing. We need to increase

:08:39. > :08:40.the communication And to get people to

:08:41. > :08:44.thoroughly understand what There is plenty of evidence that

:08:45. > :08:47.it's a real problem. This man is pretending to be

:08:48. > :08:50.a hospital doctor in Haywards Heath A stash of weapons

:08:51. > :08:55.was later found in his van. The singer, Lily Allen, helped

:08:56. > :08:57.campaigners by talking publicly about the moment a man

:08:58. > :09:00.who harassed her for seven years It's far too frequent

:09:01. > :09:05.that we hear stalking victim say to us that they had

:09:06. > :09:09.reported it to the police but they The police have said, well,

:09:10. > :09:13.come back when he does something or "he may just go away",

:09:14. > :09:16.or that doesn't sound very serious. The research we've

:09:17. > :09:18.released this week really does underline how

:09:19. > :09:27.very serious this is. The research has led to a list of

:09:28. > :09:33.tell-tale signs, hanging around outside the house, to the more

:09:34. > :09:36.bizarre, rearranging furniture in a victim's garden, or falsely

:09:37. > :09:40.reporting a victim to social services for bad parenting. They can

:09:41. > :09:44.also say I have told them to stop and ask them know, and that is

:09:45. > :09:49.therefore stalking. That is the message I would get across today. We

:09:50. > :09:53.should be really clear about what is wanted and unwanted. And if you do,

:09:54. > :09:59.Sussex Police are now promising that they will listen more and future.

:10:00. > :10:01.Our reporter John Young joins us now from Brighton.

:10:02. > :10:03.John, you saw the training in action today.

:10:04. > :10:12.Not the front-line staff who might pick up the phone if you call them,

:10:13. > :10:17.or if you attend a police station like this, but those able helping

:10:18. > :10:21.the victims of stalking, the experts to deal with people we know how the

:10:22. > :10:24.problem. The idea is that those people getting this extra training

:10:25. > :10:28.will spread the word to the people you might report it to at a police

:10:29. > :10:32.station or on the phone and, as a result, the culture of the force

:10:33. > :10:36.will change. That is the idea, and the next few months and year or so

:10:37. > :10:42.will show whether it is working. An inquest into the death

:10:43. > :10:45.of a 16-year-old boy at a Kent jail has heard how a prison officer

:10:46. > :10:48.who couldn't find him decided and didn't return to his cell

:10:49. > :10:51.for 18 minutes. Daniel Adewole, who suffered

:10:52. > :10:53.from epilepsy, was later found unresponsive at Cookham Wood

:10:54. > :10:55.prison in Rochester. Officer Philip O'Neill said

:10:56. > :10:57.he hadn't considered The former Liberal Democrat Business

:10:58. > :11:05.Secretary, Sir Vince Cable, has urged his party not to field

:11:06. > :11:07.a candidate in Brighton Pavilion, where the Green MP Caroline Lucas

:11:08. > :11:10.is seeking re-election. Mr Cable says he's told the local

:11:11. > :11:14.party to back Ms Lucas who he described as a

:11:15. > :11:16."good, progressive MP" when they hold

:11:17. > :11:20.a meeting on Wednesday. The current Lib Dem candidate

:11:21. > :11:21.has told us he would be

:11:22. > :11:24.willing to stand down. In a moment we'll be speaking

:11:25. > :11:26.live to Vince Cable. First, this was the reaction

:11:27. > :11:27.from people in the Brighton Pavilion

:11:28. > :11:40.constituency today. I understand the need for alliances.

:11:41. > :11:45.I think people will vote with common sense in the end. Nothing in

:11:46. > :11:49.politics is going to surprise us, in this day and age. Does really bother

:11:50. > :11:53.me? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If they decide to go

:11:54. > :11:58.that way that is up to them. Let's talk to the former

:11:59. > :12:00.Business Secretary Vince Cable who joins us now from south

:12:01. > :12:02.West London where's he's campaigning

:12:03. > :12:04.to get back into Parliament. Why are you supporting

:12:05. > :12:07.Caroline Lucas? The Conservatives lost

:12:08. > :12:09.Brighton Pavilion 20 years ago There's no real prospect

:12:10. > :12:26.of a pro-Brexit Tory I thought it was the right thing to

:12:27. > :12:30.do. Caroline is one of those MPs with whom I think myself and my

:12:31. > :12:36.colleagues have a great deal in common. A very strong line in

:12:37. > :12:38.opposing the hard Brexit the government is pursuing,

:12:39. > :12:43.environmental values, support for voting reform, all of those things.

:12:44. > :12:46.And it isn't part of any central agreement or anything of that kind.

:12:47. > :12:52.I think it was the right thing to do, and I think our members in

:12:53. > :12:57.Brighton think it is the kind of gesture we can have with parties

:12:58. > :13:02.where we have a strong, common view. Presumably you are getting something

:13:03. > :13:09.in return, maybe a local deal. Are they helping you out in Eastbourne

:13:10. > :13:13.and in Lewes, the seat she lost two years ago? There was no quid pro

:13:14. > :13:20.quo. I thought it was the right thing to do. And hoping that

:13:21. > :13:23.like-minded people, Green supporters and others will support others in

:13:24. > :13:28.Eastbourne and in Lewes and elsewhere. That is down to them. I

:13:29. > :13:33.am not trying to plan some agreement from the top. Our party operates

:13:34. > :13:36.very much from the grassroots. This was from other party members and

:13:37. > :13:44.supporters, and they will form their own view. The kind of gesture I have

:13:45. > :13:47.made might well be interpreted in different ways across the country

:13:48. > :13:52.and it is the kind of politics people want to see instead of narrow

:13:53. > :13:56.tribalism. Is it about money? You have limited resources. Everyone is

:13:57. > :13:58.scamming to get candidates and campaigns organised. This would

:13:59. > :14:05.enable you to focus resources on other Sussex seats. That wasn't

:14:06. > :14:09.actually part of my thinking. I just go back to the point I said at the

:14:10. > :14:16.beginning. I thought it was the right thing to do. With Caroline

:14:17. > :14:19.Lucas Beeney force were good. The same as my colleagues did in the

:14:20. > :14:22.coalition in terms of supporting environmental issues, setting up a

:14:23. > :14:25.green investment bank which has now been trashed by the Conservative

:14:26. > :14:31.government and, I think it's very important that we stand together to

:14:32. > :14:38.fight them. So Vince Cable, thank you very much for joining us. -- Sir

:14:39. > :14:40.Vince. You can follow the election campaign

:14:41. > :14:43.over the coming weeks - and find out more about

:14:44. > :14:45.the candidates on our Radio stations Kent, Sussex and Surrey

:14:46. > :14:55.and on our websites... This is our top story tonight. Home

:14:56. > :15:00.Secretary and Hastings NPR Barat says that tackling sex for rent is a

:15:01. > :15:03.key government priority, following Alex Lees investigation. Questions

:15:04. > :15:14.are set to be raised in Parliament this week. Also tonight, a restored

:15:15. > :15:19.chapel is unveiled in Canterbury Cathedral. And we have called and

:15:20. > :15:22.clearer conditions or tomorrow, after rain this evening. I will have

:15:23. > :15:30.the full details of the forecast later in the programme.

:15:31. > :15:33.Roadside verges are becoming the last refuge for some

:15:34. > :15:35.of the rarest wild flowers and plants in the UK,

:15:36. > :15:38.Plantlife is calling for better management of grassy verges

:15:39. > :15:40.to preserve a wealth of different flowering plants.

:15:41. > :15:42.Britain's verges are home to more than 700 species

:15:43. > :15:50.They include the Spiked Rampion of them are under threat.

:15:51. > :15:52.which is one of the UK's rarest plants

:15:53. > :15:55.and found at only eight sites, all of them in East Sussex.

:15:56. > :16:03.Amanda Akass has tonight's special report.

:16:04. > :16:09.carpet chalk grasslands and meadows carpet chalk grasslands and meadows

:16:10. > :16:20.in England. Now roadside verges are often the only territory they have

:16:21. > :16:22.sprayed quite a lot, so we lose a sprayed quite a lot, so we lose a

:16:23. > :16:25.lot of plants, losing one of the areas where they are not sprayed as

:16:26. > :16:28.much with herbicide. Conservationists say that even these

:16:29. > :16:32.last havens are increasingly under threat as many councils cut back

:16:33. > :16:35.grass verges early in the year, not giving plants enough time to sow

:16:36. > :16:42.seeds, and swamping new growth with cuttings. But some Kent verges are

:16:43. > :16:46.back -- bucking the dead. If you come along this road outside

:16:47. > :16:50.Maidstone you might think this was like any other grassy bank. Actually

:16:51. > :16:56.it is one of 90 roadside nature reserves run by the Kent Wildlife

:16:57. > :17:01.Trust to provide the kind of environment native plants need to

:17:02. > :17:06.thrive. Other areas have to be cut as much as every two weeks. That's

:17:07. > :17:12.the main thing highway safety. The trust doesn't think that is always

:17:13. > :17:16.necessary. Lots of verges which, if it's a long, straight road, it could

:17:17. > :17:22.be left until later in the season, even if they left it until late

:17:23. > :17:24.August, September. One of the country's ten rarest plants, the

:17:25. > :17:28.Spiked Rampion, only grows in Sussex. It is not yet in flower this

:17:29. > :17:34.year. East Sussex County Council says it had by many wild flower

:17:35. > :17:38.verges and they are constantly designating more. We put up marker

:17:39. > :17:42.posts to indicate that there is a wild flower birch, so that the

:17:43. > :17:46.community are aware of that and most importantly, when the grass covers

:17:47. > :17:50.come along, they leave it alone. We are introducing new technology with

:17:51. > :17:55.GPS locations, which shows them exactly where the wild flower verges

:17:56. > :18:01.are. Conservation charities argue that more grass verges need to be

:18:02. > :18:06.actively protected to protect some of our most fragile natural Heritage

:18:07. > :18:11.and prevent it being lost or good. -- lost for good.

:18:12. > :18:15.Former soldiers who are among the last to serve in

:18:16. > :18:18.the Queen's Own Buffs Regiment - which was the regiment for Kent

:18:19. > :18:21.for almost 400 years - have taken part in a special

:18:22. > :18:23.ceremony to mark the re-opening of their Warriors Chapel

:18:24. > :18:30.The chapel's been closed for eight years so repair work

:18:31. > :18:32.including the restoration of the regimental colours.

:18:33. > :18:44.A simple moving moment which has happened here each weekday from 90

:18:45. > :18:49.years. The ringing of the bell from HMS Canterbury, a cruiser in the

:18:50. > :18:54.Great War, is followed by the turning of a page from the book of

:18:55. > :18:57.life. It records the names of soldiers from the Queen's Own Buffs

:18:58. > :19:07.who fell in the first and second world Wars and other conflicts. I

:19:08. > :19:12.marched down the hill from the barracks down to this chapel to turn

:19:13. > :19:16.the page in May 1957, and here we are, 60 years on, about to do the

:19:17. > :19:21.same thing. The colours have all been cleaned, where they can, and it

:19:22. > :19:28.is a remarkable day, to see open again. The Queen's Own Buffs were

:19:29. > :19:31.originally the East Kent Regiment amalgamated in the 60s with the

:19:32. > :19:35.Royal West Kent Regiment. The chapel and ceremony was their special place

:19:36. > :19:38.of remembrance, until it was closed to allow restoration of parts of the

:19:39. > :19:42.cathedral. We took the decision to move the ceremony to another part of

:19:43. > :19:45.the cathedral for a few months and here we are seven years and nine

:19:46. > :19:51.months later and the last piece of the jigsaw is back in its own in

:20:04. > :20:08.the walls, which form a key part of the conservation effort. The trick

:20:09. > :20:12.was to have them cleaned and to remove all that surface dust, but

:20:13. > :20:16.not to interfere with the natural disintegration and the gate, which

:20:17. > :20:20.is what is expected that the colours will achieve. -- disintegration and

:20:21. > :20:26.decay. So the covers which were cut carried into battle during the

:20:27. > :20:29.Crimean War will be allowed to fade away, but the regiment will be

:20:30. > :20:36.honoured here, as long as there are people who remember it.

:20:37. > :20:39.Brighton failed to read the script on Friday,

:20:40. > :20:42.and missed out on the opportunity to clinch the Championship title

:20:43. > :20:45.both goals freakishly deflecting in off the keeper.

:20:46. > :20:48.But there is a chance they will be crowned champions this evening,

:20:55. > :20:56.Juliette, the club have their annual awards evening

:20:57. > :21:05.tonight, and there should be plenty to celebrate.

:21:06. > :21:10.There is lots to celebrate. There is a great atmosphere here tonight with

:21:11. > :21:16.players and fans arriving in the last hour. There is, as you say,

:21:17. > :21:20.lost to celebrate such a successful season. There could be a double

:21:21. > :21:25.celebration tonight. If Newcastle lose tonight, they are currently

:21:26. > :21:28.second in the table, then the seagulls could be crowned the league

:21:29. > :21:31.winners. We'll be showing highlights of the season tonight and as

:21:32. > :21:36.Chrissie Reavie reports, there are plenty of those that choose from.

:21:37. > :21:40.Brighton may have spent the week celebrating their promotion to the

:21:41. > :21:46.Premier League but the weekend was won by two freakish and goes against

:21:47. > :21:51.Norwich. Despite the 2-0 defeat, they could secure the championship

:21:52. > :21:59.title if Newcastle lose tonight. After getting promoted, it was

:22:00. > :22:03.almost a holiday, the atmosphere was really nice and it was a special

:22:04. > :22:07.night. League 1 Gillingham find themselves in a relegation fight

:22:08. > :22:11.after they lost to Fleetwood town. An injury time goal at the begin

:22:12. > :22:15.designing Gillingham to a 3-2 defeat. They could be saved if Port

:22:16. > :22:20.Vale did them a favour on Tuesday night, but if it goes to the final

:22:21. > :22:23.game, Gillingham might need to beat Northampton town, who are managed by

:22:24. > :22:31.Justin Edinburgh, the man sacked as Gillingham manager in January. A

:22:32. > :22:36.number of awards are being handed out tonight, including Player of the

:22:37. > :22:48.Year. I'm delighted to be joined by a player who won that award last

:22:49. > :22:53.year. Thank you for joining us. For everyone of us, the players, it is

:22:54. > :22:57.to achieve more in the team, but the hard work we did all season is

:22:58. > :23:02.coming in now. And probably the fans are going to vote for Player of the

:23:03. > :23:06.Year. For us, now, what we achieve like a team is the most important

:23:07. > :23:10.thing, but obviously it is nice winning this evening to pick this

:23:11. > :23:16.trophy up. It is something special. And I am happy for every one of the

:23:17. > :23:19.players because we did have an unbelievable season and we achieved

:23:20. > :23:23.something so special. So I want to say congratulations to the winner,

:23:24. > :23:27.because everyone deserves this trophy this evening. Sum up what it

:23:28. > :23:32.means to be promoted to the Premier League. It is a great achievement

:23:33. > :23:38.for this club. Something special. We really enjoyed every moment. We

:23:39. > :23:43.still have some more to do to win the league, but it is like a dream

:23:44. > :23:48.for us, and something big for us, for the players. Thank you so much

:23:49. > :23:50.for joining us this evening. There could be a double celebration

:23:51. > :23:57.tonight. That really would be a dream tonight. They are going to

:23:58. > :24:10.have a good evening, anyway, aren't they? It is turning nice and cold at

:24:11. > :24:13.the end of the football season. It is going to get cooler over the next

:24:14. > :24:19.couple of days. Earlier, it was quite a bright start. And overnight

:24:20. > :24:23.temperatures should not be too bad but we have a cold front heading our

:24:24. > :24:29.way and behind that is some much cooler air conditions from the

:24:30. > :24:32.North. For the first half of this evening there will be some rain. It

:24:33. > :24:37.passes through really quite quickly. Behind it, we have clearer skies.

:24:38. > :24:43.Temperatures falling away. A little bit below freezing in rural spots.

:24:44. > :24:49.Hovering at one or 2 degrees in towns and cities. It is chilly with

:24:50. > :24:55.a frosty start for Tuesday. Holding onto that cold, northerly wind. We

:24:56. > :24:59.start the day dry, with more cloud around and one or two scattered

:25:00. > :25:04.showers, potentially do some hail mixed in. Lots of sunshine, a chilly

:25:05. > :25:09.start, temperatures by the afternoon reaching highs of around 10 Celsius.

:25:10. > :25:17.Feeling much cooler. The reason for that, those northerly winds, ticking

:25:18. > :25:22.up at around 10-15 mph. On Tuesday, into Wednesday, we have the

:25:23. > :25:25.scattered showers and it will be very chilly with temperatures in

:25:26. > :25:31.rural spots hovering around freezing and around two or three Celsius

:25:32. > :25:37.around the coast. Sunshine and showers throughout the day. We still

:25:38. > :25:41.have this northerly airflow. Temperatures at around 10 Celsius,

:25:42. > :25:45.still feeling cooler, and on Thursday, eventually a warm front

:25:46. > :25:48.means what warmer conditions. A chilly start and lots of sunshine by

:25:49. > :25:55.the afternoon, and some scattered, wintry showers. We don't want Frost!

:25:56. > :26:00.Before we go, let's take a look at the closing headlines. France's
