:00:17. > :00:19.As the sun beamed down on Brighton for the annual marathon, expectant

:00:20. > :00:26.At Preston Park, some 12,000 runners set off just after 9am, all ages,

:00:30. > :00:35.spurred on by the many spectators along the route.

:00:36. > :00:45.This is his third time doing the Brighton one but he's done

:00:46. > :00:48.six marathons in the last couple of years.

:00:49. > :00:50.He's actually just on the Manchester one last weekend.

:00:51. > :00:58.I've not been to Brighton before so it is a lovely place.

:00:59. > :01:00.While others got a different soaking but with shade in

:01:01. > :01:04.short supply it was a welcome cooldown.

:01:05. > :01:07.BBC Sussex presenter Neil Pringle got in on the action as did

:01:08. > :01:11.Although for some it was all too much.

:01:12. > :01:14.A lot of the runners are now coming in over the finish line.

:01:15. > :01:17.Some are running, many are walking, some are even hobbling.

:01:18. > :01:23.They have completed the 26 mile route, a phenomenal achievement.

:01:24. > :01:30.First marathon so it is a good effort, pleased with it.

:04:57. > :04:58.into the early hours of tomorrow morning.

:04:59. > :05:04.In fact, we will stay dry but bits and pieces of cloud slowly sinking

:05:05. > :05:09.their way in and across us as we go through the early hours of tomorrow.

:05:10. > :05:12.A southerly wind for much of the night before that comes in and

:05:13. > :05:16.As we start, not long after breakfast tomorrow,

:05:17. > :05:18.we get more of that north-westerly setting in.

:05:19. > :05:20.Some sunshine to start but it will feel much

:05:21. > :05:24.Althoguh we've lost the onshore breeze.

:05:25. > :05:27.We get some cloud bubbling up in the afternoon

:05:28. > :05:30.If you're in the sunshine, not feeling unpleasant, if

:05:31. > :05:32.you're in the cloud, 12 or 13 degrees with that

:05:33. > :05:35.It will feel quite a shock to the system.

:05:36. > :05:38.In the coming days, as I say, it will be dry.

:05:39. > :05:40.When you are in the sunshine not too unpleasant but the

:05:41. > :05:44.temperatures staying in the low teens.
