:03:35. > :03:37.been spruced up under the last three Prime Ministers.

:03:38. > :03:41.Really we ought to be investing in new lifts so we didn't

:03:42. > :03:47.have to keep repairing, but each lift is probably up to ?250,000 and

:03:48. > :03:53.at the moment we can't prioritise that above other things.

:03:54. > :03:55.One priority will be keeping overseas staff,

:06:28. > :06:40.People can still donate online through her Justgiving page.

:06:41. > :06:43.Now let's take a look at the weather, with Dan Downs.

:06:44. > :06:47.We're seeing a few subtle changes in our weather as we

:06:48. > :06:52.The high pressure which has brought us a couple of settled days is

:06:53. > :06:55.slipping away to the south, the isobars squeezing up behind it,

:06:56. > :06:57.And then this weather front's moving down,

:06:58. > :07:00.bringing us rather cloudy conditions to start the New Year,

:07:01. > :07:05.Behind that, though, it does turn a lot clearer and colder.

:07:06. > :07:07.Tonight we're seeing the return of a lot of fog patches

:07:08. > :07:10.around, maybe not quite as dense as the past couple of nights,

:07:11. > :07:13.with a bit more breeze around, but it will be a cold night,

:07:14. > :07:15.quite a widespread frost, as temperatures dip towards

:07:16. > :07:19.Tomorrow, a much cloudy day than today.

:07:20. > :07:22.We start off rather cold and foggy again, and then one

:07:23. > :07:25.or two breaks are possible but generally a lot more cloud around

:07:26. > :07:28.and not feeling particularly warm - a bit more of a breeze around, and

:07:29. > :07:30.temperatures of around 7 or 8 degrees.

:07:31. > :07:35.As we end the year it stays rather cloudy through Saturday.

:07:36. > :07:37.Milder than recent days, though - temperatures just scraping into

:07:38. > :07:42.But it turns rather damp to start New Year's Day, before

:07:43. > :07:44.brightening up later, and then colder but clearer

:07:45. > :07:50.There's more on the BBC News website.

:07:51. > :07:53.Our next programme is tonight at 11:10pm.

:07:54. > :08:24.Temperatures have dropped away shortly and we have seen some fog,

:08:25. > :08:28.particularly through the Midlands. We do have some clout drifting in

:08:29. > :08:34.from the west. By the end of the night, towards the East Midlands as

:08:35. > :08:38.well. Further north, more of a breeze from the south-west, bringing

:08:39. > :08:43.in a weather front. Keeping the temperatures at seven or 8 degrees.

:08:44. > :08:46.Freezing or just below to the south-east corner. Fog will live to

:08:47. > :08:51.low cloud and generally speaking a lot more cloud than we saw today.

:08:52. > :08:55.Northern Scotland is the focal point for wet and windy weather. Confined

:08:56. > :09:00.to the north and west of Scotland where temperatures will be quite

:09:01. > :09:01.mild, ten or 11 degrees for Glasgow,
