:01:05. > :01:08.Keeping around 400 inmates in order is inevitably a challenge,
:01:09. > :01:11.and the Independent Monitoring Board says there simply are not
:01:12. > :01:18.The report says cuts to the number of staff have made this place
:01:19. > :01:22.more dangerous for prisoners and workers.
:01:23. > :01:25.Also, there is a gang culture which is making it difficult to run
:01:26. > :01:30.some training programmes and get prisoners around the prison.
:01:31. > :01:34.The Ministry of Justice says 2500 extra prison officers
:01:35. > :01:40.But the Prison Reform Trust says wages are too low
:01:41. > :01:44.to attract skilled workers to Aylesbury.
:01:45. > :01:47.The young men in Aylesbury are not being kept occupied,
:01:48. > :01:49.their energy is not being used and they're not spending
:01:50. > :01:55.And some of that is simply because the money hasn't been found
:01:56. > :01:58.to recruit the people to keep workshops open,
:01:59. > :02:01.so good facilities are standing idle.
:02:02. > :02:04.The report highlighted the hard work staff put in to identify potential
:02:05. > :02:24.In a statement, the Ministry of Justice said:
:02:25. > :02:28.The prison is also working more closely with police
:02:29. > :02:32.so inmates who break the rules are properly punished.
:02:33. > :02:38.Police are hunting for a prisoner who has absconded
:02:39. > :02:40.from Springhill Prison in Buckinghamshire.

:09:24. > :09:27.a big focus on practical training. Cyclists come in your blind spot, it
:09:28. > :09:33.makes you more aware, doing this course. It is very good. I had a
:09:34. > :09:37.scary experience with an articulated lorry overtaking me so I am highly
:09:38. > :09:44.aware of cyclists. It is quite scary being out there on the road and

:09:48. > :09:50.Aylesbury Vale District Council has brought in this type of course,
:09:51. > :09:55.which works out to be about ?90 per person. Staff say it is worth every
