:00:21. > :00:22.There's a warning to those enjoying the countryside this

:00:23. > :00:25.weekend that huge areas are at risk from heathland and grass fires.

:00:26. > :00:37.Hampshire firefighters have dealt with more than 50 incidents over

:00:38. > :00:42.The ground still smouldering in parts of the six hectares

:00:43. > :00:52.The recent warm weather has created a perfect storm -

:00:53. > :00:53.vegetation is dry and people are around.

:00:54. > :00:55.Bottles, broken glass on the ground there,

:00:56. > :00:58.another example of whereby the sun can react to it like

:00:59. > :01:01.Another potential cause for the start of the fire.

:01:02. > :01:04.I'm not saying that this was the one on this occasion,

:01:05. > :01:06.but take your rubbish with you take a glass home you,

:01:07. > :01:10.This was the Yateley fire at its height, one of 52

:01:11. > :01:13.Hampshire Fire Rescue dealt with within the week,

:01:14. > :01:16.The devastation caused by this fire is all too evident.

:01:17. > :01:18.Wildlife animals will have perished in this fire, but thankfully,

:01:19. > :01:21.no people were injured, although it came close to houses

:01:22. > :01:28.It can't be ruled out that this fire was started deliberately.

:01:29. > :01:31.It's the loss of the land, it's the damage the environment -

:01:32. > :01:33.it will take years to recover from this.

:01:34. > :01:35.Let alone, further still, the risk to the public,

:01:36. > :01:44.These fires can take flight very, very rapidly, hence,

:01:45. > :01:46.we quite often term them as a wildfire.

:01:47. > :01:51.Whilst the preservation of these vulnerable open spaces is key,

:01:52. > :01:54.the message is if you do encounter a fire, report it and don't try

:01:55. > :02:03.Poultry farmers are allowing their birds outdoors again

:02:04. > :02:06.for the first time in months, after restrictions to prevent

:02:07. > :02:08.the spread of bird-flu from wildfowl were lifted.

:02:09. > :02:12.Normally, free-range hens have had to be kept indoors.

:02:13. > :02:15.That's meant that, since February, boxes of free-range eggs have

:02:16. > :02:17.had to carry a label, pointing out that the birds

:02:18. > :02:19.have been been kept inside for their welfare.

:02:20. > :02:25.When these hens were first shut inside the barn,

:02:26. > :02:28.dozens died of suffocation as they crushed up inside against

:02:29. > :02:40.They did get used to it, but now the restrictions have eased,

:02:41. > :02:45.When these hens were first shut inside the barn,

:02:46. > :02:48.Production, I think, probably was affected a little bit.

:02:49. > :02:53.They certainly ate more food, because obviously when they're

:02:54. > :02:57.outside, they're grazing, weeds, grass, slugs,

:02:58. > :03:06.They were marked as barn eggs rather than free range.

:03:07. > :03:12.As from yesterday, they are now free range again, which is great.

:03:13. > :03:16.This easing of restrictions by Defra comes with a warning attached.

:03:17. > :03:20.All keepers must still comply with strict bio-security measures,

:03:21. > :03:24.because the risk of a flock like like this one contracting bird

:03:25. > :03:30.And the worry here on New Farm is the hens may have

:03:31. > :03:37.to spend every winter inside until a vaccine is developed.

:03:38. > :03:40.The distinctive drone of its engines has been heard in the skies over

:03:41. > :03:46.but the aircraft that's shuttled tens of thousands of passengers

:03:47. > :03:49.between the city and the Channel Islands has touched

:03:50. > :03:53.As Edward Sault reports, the Trislander plane,

:03:54. > :03:56.built on the Isle of Wight, has made more flights than any other

:03:57. > :04:02.Almost 33,000 flying hours and over 105,000 landings,

:04:03. > :04:06.but this Aurigny Trislander has landed for the last time,

:04:07. > :04:13.To think that this aeroplane has retired after so many flights

:04:14. > :04:17.and moving so many thousands of people around, it does

:04:18. > :04:23.This Trislander, known to many over Southampton, isn't going far.

:04:24. > :04:25.It is destined for here at the Solent Sky Museum

:04:26. > :04:28.and whilst it linked Alderney with the mainland, its connections

:04:29. > :04:32.It's very important, actually, as a local

:04:33. > :04:35.aviation story because, of course, Britten-Norman

:04:36. > :04:38.started their activities on the Isle of Wight

:04:39. > :04:40.and we have their very first aeroplane.

:04:41. > :04:43.It has almost become a part of Southampton life, if you like,

:04:44. > :04:45.and that was because of the distinctive engine noise.

:04:46. > :04:48.As soon as you heard that, you knew there was a Trislander

:04:49. > :04:52.Oscar November, as this aeroplane is known, will be on show

:04:53. > :04:57.in its new home in six to nine months.

:04:58. > :05:00.It's Good Friday of course, and worshippers at Christ Church

:05:01. > :05:03.Cathedral in Oxford have been re-enacting the Easter story.

:05:04. > :05:07.They held a procession around the cathedral,

:05:08. > :05:09.stopping to perform scenes for the public.

:05:10. > :05:12.The aim of the event was to help children to better understand

:05:13. > :05:17.the events leading up to the crucifixion.

:05:18. > :05:22.Sometimes people just go straight into Easter and they don't actually

:05:23. > :05:25.know the story of what happened at the end

:05:26. > :05:30.a way of trying to tell what is a difficult and complicated

:05:31. > :05:33.it is story in a way that is accessible and for

:05:34. > :05:42.younger people, as well as, I hope, quite moving for all ages.

:05:43. > :05:44.Onto football, and Brighton are still on track to secure

:05:45. > :05:46.automatic promotion to the Premier League

:05:47. > :05:56.and remain top of the table, after winning away to Wolves.

:05:57. > :05:59.But a win from third-place Huddersfield means guaranteed

:06:00. > :06:05.promotion spots are still too close to call.

:06:06. > :06:06.There were three games in League One.

:06:07. > :06:08.Oxford United lost 1-0 away at Bradford.

:06:09. > :06:14.Swindon managed to salvage a point at least

:06:15. > :06:16.after a goalless draw at home against AFC Wimbledon,

:06:17. > :06:28.but the Robins remain in the relegation zone.

:06:29. > :06:36.In the two of the Fort Hood. They went a goal down at Fratton Park.

:06:37. > :06:39.They had hoped to win today would secure their will then move up to

:06:40. > :06:45.lead one but Pompey are hot on their lead one but Pompey are hot on their

:06:46. > :06:46.heels in third point -- third place. Results elsewhere guarantees them a

:06:47. > :06:49.play-off place. OK, onto the weather then,

:06:50. > :06:52.and Sarah Farmer is here. Bit gloomy today, can

:06:53. > :07:07.we expect better for the rest too but certainly fresher then it

:07:08. > :07:12.was a week ago. Some outbreaks of rain, nudging themselves across our

:07:13. > :07:16.part of the world. Patchy in nature, it will tend to come and go.

:07:17. > :07:19.Clearing towards the south coast through the early hours.

:07:20. > :07:29.Temperatures down to eight or 9 degrees. We start tomorrow on a

:07:30. > :07:35.cloudy note, any remnants of that cloudy weather clearing.

:07:40. > :07:44.of the weekend, Sunday start on a cloudy note with some rain arriving
