:00:13. > :00:15.after pleading guilty to child sex offences.

:00:16. > :00:18.Gary Lane, who's 52, admitted two counts of raping

:00:19. > :00:23.It happened in Kidlington two years ago.

:00:24. > :00:29.Gary Lane came to know these boys in 2013.

:00:30. > :00:32.The court was told he groomed them with toys and expensive

:00:33. > :00:41.He occasionally took them away on fishing trips.

:00:42. > :00:43.And, sometimes, they even stayed at his house overnight.

:00:44. > :00:46.But, it was between January, and also November 2015,

:00:47. > :00:48.that he raped both boys and committed other multiple sexual

:00:49. > :00:54.They were aged just eight and ten at the time.

:00:55. > :00:57.He was also a scoutmaster but it's important to emphasise that neither

:00:58. > :01:02.After he was arrested and bailed, he fled to Scotland before

:01:03. > :01:07.He'd missed two court dates during that time before he pleaded

:01:08. > :01:10.guilty to all the charges, here at Oxfordshire

:01:11. > :01:16.Now, the officer in charge of this case, who can't be identified

:01:17. > :01:18.for operational reasons, gave me his reaction

:01:19. > :01:23.These victims were cruelly robbed of a normal childhood

:01:24. > :01:26.and even though the sentence could never repair the damage caused

:01:27. > :01:29.by his heinous actions, I hope that the victims

:01:30. > :01:31.and their families can now try to move forward with their lives,

:01:32. > :01:34.knowing that this man is finally behind bars.

:01:35. > :01:37.In victim impact videos played in court, both

:01:38. > :01:40.of the boys said they were sad, upset, and angry about

:01:41. > :01:45.The mother of one of the boys said that their lives had

:01:46. > :01:49.In sentencing him to 16 years in prison, Judge Patrick Eccles QC

:01:50. > :02:00.said there was something with Gary Lane's sexual

:02:01. > :02:03.thinking and that he'd shown no remorse for his crimes.

:02:04. > :02:06.A teenager from Aylesbury's appeared in court, charged

:02:07. > :02:09.Brandon Lavender, who's 18, is accused of fatally stabbing

:02:10. > :02:15.Brandon Lavender didn't enter a plea.

:02:16. > :02:22.Police have named a man who died, when his car was hit by a train,

:02:23. > :02:28.on a level crossing in the Cotswolds.

:02:29. > :02:30.Colin Cameron, who was 60, was in his Landrover with two dogs

:02:31. > :02:33.when the vehicle was struck by a train in Frampton

:02:34. > :02:38.It's prompted calls about the safety of the unmanned crossing.

:02:41. > :02:46.Next tonight - the Oxfordshire parents who were told their twin

:02:47. > :02:49.boys only had a 50% chance of survival.

:02:50. > :02:51.Charlie and Hayley Lampshire from Kidlington say they're

:02:52. > :02:56.relieved their boys overcame risky health complications -

:02:57. > :03:01.Serena Martin has been to meet the family.

:03:02. > :03:04.In the Lampshire household, there's two of everything -

:03:05. > :03:07.two toy monkeys, two sets of shoes and two identical baby boys.

:03:08. > :03:15.But due to a risky pregnancy, there was a chance both wouldn't make it.

:03:16. > :03:18.We went from shock to utter joy, finding out we were going to have

:03:19. > :03:26.two and then finding out we were going to the twins

:03:27. > :03:36."Mo Mo" or monoamniotic twins are incredibly rare.

:03:37. > :03:39.They share the same amniotic sack, so there's a high risk of them

:03:40. > :03:41.strangling each other with their umbilical cord.

:03:42. > :03:46.There's only a 50% chance of both twins surviving.

:03:47. > :03:59.There was nothing we could do and if anything had gone wrong,

:04:00. > :04:01.we wouldn't have necessarily know until we went for a scan.

:04:02. > :04:05.They are quite tightly packed in the same sac.

:04:06. > :04:08.They looked like they were cuddled up together.

:04:09. > :04:10.We've always felt that they have always been very close,

:05:32. > :05:35.Something that I wouldn't consider back in my secondary school

:05:36. > :05:37.but now I'm doing it, it's something I know

:05:38. > :05:41.Until you actually start doing it, you learn so much and it's amazing

:05:42. > :05:49.Today the local MP officially launched the suite.

:05:50. > :05:54.Like everyone else, Victoria Prentis enjoyed visiting the virtual world,

:05:55. > :05:57.but there's more to the experience than just having fun.

:06:01. > :06:03.they can use it for history, how they can use it for drama,

:06:04. > :06:06.how they can use it for all sorts of scientific exploration and it's

:06:07. > :06:08.also great that the children in the space studio

:06:09. > :06:12.who are into this sort of development and programming can

:06:13. > :06:18.use their skills to help other students learn.

:06:19. > :06:20.Critics of virtual reality say it's a gimmick,

:06:21. > :06:27.Staff at the academy say their new suite is here to stay.

:06:28. > :06:33.A company in Oxfordshire has successfully re-produced bones

:06:34. > :06:37.from one of the biggest marine reptiles of the Jurassic era -

:06:38. > :06:43.Half of the skull of a pliosaur was printed

:06:44. > :06:53.Overnight it will stay cold and cloudy, with

:06:54. > :06:58.We could even see a dusting of snow over higher levels through the early

:07:59. > :08:03.south-west in Cornwall, a beautiful day. The south-west saw glimpses of

:08:04. > :08:07.sunshine. Further east, cloudy, cold and grey with winds off the North

:08:08. > :08:12.seep and a scattering of wintry showers. Yes, rain sleet and snow, a

:08:13. > :08:15.dusting at lower levels through the day. It brought this beautiful
