:02:44. > :02:56.The bus was swaying left to right and I woke up and seen a car coming

:02:57. > :03:03.among the left side of the bus. They started shooting into the air. They

:03:08. > :03:09.going to kill us and leave us naked in the field if we didn't cooperate

:03:10. > :03:11.with them. The UK government describes crime

:03:12. > :03:13.in Brazil as highAnd warns against wearing expensive

:03:14. > :03:19.jewellery and clothes. There have been incidents

:03:20. > :03:31.of hijacking and robbery of tour It seemed to be phones and money.

:03:32. > :03:35.Some jewellery, some watches. I don't know... There was some

:03:36. > :03:39.confusion, and that's when he brought the gun to my head at the

:03:40. > :03:41.top of my head. I just had my head down.

:03:42. > :03:44.Sofia says she was glad she had cash on her to give to the attackers

:04:29. > :04:31.to Medical Detection Dogs where she's learning how

:04:32. > :04:46.Training in the Buckinghamshire countryside, a far cry from where

:04:47. > :04:51.Faith the collie cross dog lived for most of her life. A dog meat farm in

:04:52. > :04:55.South Korea. Animal charities say around two

:04:56. > :05:00.million dogs are slaughtered for food in their country each year.

:05:01. > :05:06.When one farm closed recently, some dogs were rescued and brought back

:05:07. > :05:14.to the UK. Saved herself, Faith is now training

:05:15. > :05:19.at medical detection dogs to save others. She was incredibly

:05:20. > :05:24.disruptive to start with. She had no idea what a home was, what a table

:05:25. > :05:28.was, she thought work tops were for walking on, so frenetic about

:05:29. > :05:32.wanting food and water, these dogs were deprived of water. To start

:05:33. > :05:37.with, she was a complete whirlwind, but with time, careful training and

:05:38. > :05:41.teaching her the boundaries, she's become a beautiful dog. They can

:05:42. > :05:47.identify cancers by smell. The charity has just begun trials to

:05:48. > :05:50.detect bowel cancer. They also look for potentially life-threatening

:05:51. > :05:55.changes in blood sugar levels that could save diabetics. After what

:05:56. > :06:01.she's been through, she still has the most amazing faith in humans, so

:06:02. > :06:05.Faith seemed like the obvious name for her and I think it suits her.

:06:06. > :06:07.The charity hope to take on another dog from South Korea in the coming

:06:08. > :06:09.months. A man who calls himself a butterfly

:06:10. > :06:13.conservationist has been found guilty of capturing and killing some

:06:14. > :06:15.of Europe's rarest Phillip Cullen was seen with a net

:06:16. > :06:21.at sites known to be habitats He told the court he was

:06:22. > :06:41.searching for wasps. Everyone here at Magistrates Court

:06:42. > :06:50.thinks it's been an extraordinary day, that's because it's usually

:06:51. > :06:58.petty criminals or speeding fines taking place here. This is an

:06:59. > :07:03.unusual case revolved around this dangerous iconic breed of butterfly

:07:04. > :07:07.extinct in the 1970s but re-introduced to Gloucestershire in

:07:08. > :07:11.the 80s. Phillip Cullen is accused of six offences related to the

:07:12. > :07:17.globally protected butterflies. The prosecution told the court the

:07:18. > :07:24.57-year-old captured and killed one large blue near Cirencester on June

:07:25. > :07:29.28th, 2015 and another from Somerset that same week. Witnesses told the

:07:30. > :07:35.court they had seen Phillip Cullen chasing after the rare large blue

:07:36. > :07:40.butterfly with a net taking swipes at it. He says he was chasing wasps

:07:41. > :07:46.but the court found differently and Phillip Cullen ended up getting

:07:47. > :07:51.stung. As a conservationist, how does it feel to have been found

:07:52. > :07:55.guilty of this? Very embarrassing to be accused of these things and not

:07:56. > :08:01.be believed, found guilty. It's a stitch-up. The Magistrates Court

:08:02. > :08:03.found Philip Cullen guilty of six charges. He'll be sentenced in

:08:04. > :08:06.April. Children across our region have been

:08:07. > :08:09.making their own news today as part We've spent the day with pupils

:08:10. > :08:13.at Oxford Spires Academy who've been learning about a new healthcare plan

:08:14. > :08:24.for people with asthma. It affects nearly 5.5 million people

:08:25. > :08:30.in the UK every year. It causes people to have a shortness of breath

:08:31. > :08:34.and normally they'll use inhalers to prevent asthma attacks. This leaflet

:08:35. > :08:38.is available to help people understand the risks. I haven't

:08:39. > :08:42.spent much time in central Oxford but when I came here, I found that

:08:43. > :08:48.many of the people that I were looking after didn't have English as

:08:49. > :08:53.their first language and I knew that these personalised asthma action

:08:54. > :08:56.plans save lives and can make better better. They've been translated into

:08:57. > :09:07.ten different languages. Latest figures show on average three

:09:08. > :09:14.children in every classroom have asthma. So, do they think an action

:09:15. > :09:21.plan like this will work? I think it will help other people around the

:09:22. > :09:25.world because before they could have gotten the leaflet, they wouldn't

:09:26. > :09:31.have been able to read it in their own language. I was really

:09:32. > :09:36.interested in having leaflets for people in their own language. Expect

:09:37. > :09:43.to see more of these leaflets in a doctor's surgery near you in

:09:44. > :09:49.Oxfordshire. Great work from the news team there at Oxford Spires.

:09:50. > :09:54.Coming up is Alexis with the weather forecast.

:09:55. > :09:57.A good deal of cloud today. Overnight, the cloud will start to

:09:58. > :10:02.thin and break in places to allow for some clear spells. Under the

:10:03. > :10:07.clearing skies, temperatures could in the countryside fall to three

:10:08. > :10:11.Celsius. Blue skies to start the day tomorrow but through the course of

:10:12. > :10:14.the morning, the cloud will increase further from the west with the

:10:15. > :10:18.increasing westerly breeze. The breeze will be very strong during

:10:19. > :10:21.the course of the day. Gusty conditions but mainly dry during

:10:22. > :10:25.daylight hours. Temperatures will reach a high of nine to ten. Through

:10:26. > :10:29.the course of tomorrow evening and overnight tomorrow, a band of rain

:10:30. > :10:32.will move in, that will slowly clear through Saturday morning so Saturday

:10:33. > :10:36.should be mainly dry. There is a chance we could have some rain from

:10:37. > :10:40.this weather front which will affect the south-west and also Wales but it

:10:41. > :10:44.could drift further eastwards during the course of the day. On Saturday,

:10:45. > :10:48.a good deal of cloud. One or two brighter spells here and there and a

:10:49. > :10:51.brisk westerly breeze. You can see a real squeeze on the isobars. The

:10:52. > :10:56.rest of the week and into the weekend is fairly cloudy. There'll

:10:57. > :10:59.be limited brightness. The chance of rain tomorrow evening after a lovely

:11:00. > :11:01.sunny start. A lot of cloud over the weekend. It will be changeable with

:11:02. > :11:03.a chance of rain at there will be rain around, most

:11:04. > :11:12.occurring overnight. Good evening, quite a range of

:11:13. > :11:15.whether an offer earlier today in the north and north-west of the UK

:11:16. > :11:16.quite a lot
