:00:54. > :00:56.across New Palace Yard, where the attack took place,

:00:57. > :00:58.and just as I was entering, although I couldn't see anything,

:00:59. > :01:02.It is amazing how your mind words in those circumstances

:01:03. > :01:04.because I heard the gunshots, I thought to myself,

:01:05. > :01:08.Then I thought, "They can't be gunshots, this is Westminster,

:01:09. > :01:10.Parliament," and then suddenly in a second the atmosphere changed,

:01:11. > :01:11.people started screaming, shouting, "Get back."

:01:12. > :01:14.There was a terrible moment, about 30 seconds I would estimate,

:01:15. > :01:19.where we were trapped in a corner because we had a go up some

:01:20. > :01:21.escalators, or go into the Tube, both of which were crowded,

:01:22. > :01:24.where you didn't know where those shots were from a terrorist carrying

:01:25. > :01:27.a gun who was about to come round the corner.

:01:28. > :01:30.When we look at these terror attacks in Paris and so on,

:01:31. > :01:36.and I think about the Bataclan attack, clearly dozens

:01:37. > :01:43.But for those few seconds you have a sense of what it was like.

:01:44. > :01:48.Gunshots very close to you, the possibility someone with really

:01:49. > :01:50.malevolent intent is about to come at you, a sheer feeling

:01:51. > :01:56.It does bring home stuff that you see on the telly,

:01:57. > :02:04.when it happens 100 yards from where you are.

:03:40. > :03:41.Of course that is good for our patients and their experience

:03:42. > :03:46.This afternoon, the chairman of the local NHS Trust officially

:03:47. > :03:54.It is always important to us to be offering high-quality service,

:03:55. > :03:59.in comfortable surroundings so that patients experience,

:04:00. > :04:02.and perhaps particularly with these investigations,

:04:03. > :04:05.which can be worrying for them, as comfortable as possible,

:04:06. > :04:08.and for the staff to work with them and feel they are supported

:04:09. > :04:13.However much money is spent, endoscopy will probably remain

:04:14. > :04:17.an unpleasant prospect of patients, but they can be the difference

:04:18. > :04:20.between early detection of cancer and invasive surgery.

:04:21. > :04:25.About 20 patients a day come here, but the unit is now set

:04:26. > :04:35.A seven-year-old from Steventon in Oxfordshire, who became

:04:36. > :04:38.critically ill last year, will this weekend fulfil his dream

:04:39. > :04:42.of taking part in his first competitive horse race.

:04:43. > :04:44.Freddie Fletcher and pony Tommy will compete at the Isle

:05:27. > :05:29.which led to swelling in his brain and a collapsed lung.

:05:30. > :05:32.But coming out of hospital led him to become even more determined

:05:33. > :05:38.Born just days apart from each other, Freddie and Tommy have

:05:39. > :05:45.It gives something to Freddie to get up and get out,

:05:46. > :05:53.All around his bedside in hospital, he had photos of his pony.

:05:54. > :05:56.We got him a pillow with his pony's face on it.

:05:57. > :06:00.It is giving him something to keep aiming for.

:06:01. > :06:01.Raising money for Oxford Children's Hospital,

:06:02. > :06:04.Freddie is making sure Tommy is fully prepped for

:06:05. > :06:17.He's sometimes naughty, most of the time fast, and really cheeky.

:06:18. > :06:20.Freddie says he nervous ahead of Sunday.

:06:21. > :06:22.But with a lot of help from friends and family,

:06:23. > :06:24.he's ready to take the trip across the Solent
