:00:07. > :00:11.Hello, I'm Sally Taylor with the news in the south. An elderly woman

:00:11. > :00:15.died from dehydration after spending four days at a hospital in

:00:15. > :00:19.Hampshire. Joan Wilson - who was 83 - had been taken to Havant War

:00:19. > :00:22.Memorial Hospital in March. She was later transferred to another

:00:22. > :00:30.hospital where she died. Our Health Correspondent David Fenton was at

:00:30. > :00:36.the inquest in Portsmouth. Joan Wilson had been treated for

:00:36. > :00:39.sickness and diarrhoea, and after four days at Havant War Memorial

:00:39. > :00:44.Hospital she was taken to the Queen Alexandra, confused and severely

:00:44. > :00:48.dehydrated. The inquest heard that she was so sick, doctors thought

:00:48. > :00:56.she was in septic shock. She later died from a heart attack. Her

:00:56. > :01:00.family said they were surprised that she was so severely dehydrated.

:01:00. > :01:06.You wonder how she was sued dehydrated, guess. There was

:01:06. > :01:12.evidence that she had been told that she must drink plenty, but

:01:12. > :01:16.that was all. That was not until I got the phone call from Havant War

:01:16. > :01:22.Memorial Hospital to say that she was being transferred, because she

:01:22. > :01:27.had taken a turn for the worse. And that was the first I knew that she

:01:27. > :01:32.was seriously ill. The coroner recorded a verdict of death by

:01:32. > :01:35.natural causes. In a statement Southern Health NHS Foundation

:01:35. > :01:39.Trust said it could not comment on individual patients or treatment.

:01:39. > :01:43."A full investigation of this case has been completed and has not

:01:43. > :01:46.raised any specific care concerns." Brighton and Hove Council renewed

:01:46. > :01:49.safety warnings tonight after youngsters were seen diving into

:01:49. > :01:53.the sea from great height in so called "tombstoning". The activity

:01:53. > :02:01.took place from sea defence walls close to the Palace Pier. Police

:02:01. > :02:05.were called and one teenager was arrested and led away in handcuffs.

:02:05. > :02:07.A new 34 tonne, 5 million scanner has been delivered to the John

:02:07. > :02:11.Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Almost five times more powerful

:02:11. > :02:18.than normal hospital scanners, it will be used by researchers to help

:02:18. > :02:22.study brain diseases. Brennan Nicholls reports. It weighs almost

:02:22. > :02:26.the same as five double-decker buses. Getting the state-of-the-art

:02:26. > :02:32.scanner through a hole just six inches bigger than it was was never

:02:32. > :02:35.going to be easy. The 34 ton magnet had to be taken eight miles by road

:02:35. > :02:42.to join the club hospital. It was not going to be the only problem to

:02:42. > :02:50.contend with. The exclusion zone of this magnet is 12 metres. People

:02:50. > :02:54.entering do it, metallic objects, will be attracted towards it.

:02:54. > :02:59.steel in 4-room had to be built to keep it in. It has a magnetic field

:02:59. > :03:03.which could have stress water two miles. It is the only second such a

:03:03. > :03:08.scanner to be installed in the UK, and the only one to be used on

:03:08. > :03:13.humans. With the public getting older, the things people are

:03:13. > :03:16.suffering from our brain disorders and the central nervous system.

:03:16. > :03:21.scanner was funded by the Medical Research Council. The winching

:03:21. > :03:29.operation may have been a success, but it will take until October to

:03:29. > :03:32.get the new scanner operational. One of Portsmouth's most popular

:03:32. > :03:35.residents turned 150 today, and she's never looked better. HMS

:03:35. > :03:38.Warrior was the pride of Queen Victoria's fleet when she was

:03:38. > :03:41.commissioned in 1861- and Britain's first iron-hulled warship is now a

:03:41. > :03:43.top attraction at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Commander Ken

:03:43. > :03:47.Jones was joined by the ship's longest-serving volunteer. I feel

:03:47. > :03:52.that it is worth doing, because it is visited from so many people from

:03:52. > :03:57.so many countries who come to see this wonderful ship. I meet so many

:03:57. > :04:02.interesting people, who always have some interesting tales to tell me,

:04:02. > :04:09.and I can tell them some tails, too! Time now for the weather

:04:09. > :04:14.forecast. The beach was not the one as place to be. In Oxfordshire, it

:04:14. > :04:20.reached 28 Celsius. Overnight, some outbreaks of rain possible in

:04:20. > :04:26.places, but most places should stay dry and muggy, with lows of 16

:04:26. > :04:32.Celsius. Tomorrow, sunshine, the risk of a shower very much hit and

:04:32. > :04:40.miss with most places staying dry. Inland, reaching up to 29 Nov 30

:04:40. > :04:44.Celsius. Winds, remaining light. Warmer still, on Wednesday, highs

:04:44. > :04:48.into the 30s. On Thursday, temperatures start to slide as we
