:04:28. > :04:32.woman. The couple, who ended up upside down, were lucky that Derek
:04:32. > :04:39.Bateman heard the crash and came to help. They were upside down in the
:04:39. > :04:45.water. The lady was up to her neck in water and she was cradling her
:04:45. > :04:49.husband's head. It must have been horrible. Imagine being in the dark
:04:49. > :04:54.amber freezing cold. You are shocked and I think they thought
:04:54. > :04:57.they were going to drown. I told them the water would not get the
:04:57. > :05:01.best of them and they relaxed. crews and paramedics got a couple
:05:02. > :05:06.out of the car, who were suffering from the extreme effects of the
:05:06. > :05:10.cold and taken to hospital. They are both still in hospital.
:05:10. > :05:14.Miraculously, they have survived this horrific crash. Meanwhile,
:05:14. > :05:20.Derek Bateman says he is just pleased he was at home at the time
:05:20. > :05:24.and was able to offer immediate assistance.
:05:24. > :05:28.A man who tried to use a petrol tanker as an enormous bomb to blow
:05:28. > :05:33.up the home of his estranged wife has been jailed for seven years.
:05:33. > :05:37.After running the tanker, laden with fuel, into the bungalow at
:05:37. > :05:41.Wool in Dorset, Hugh Billington started fires in the property. A
:05:41. > :05:45.passing motorist who reversed the tanker to safety has been praised
:05:45. > :05:49.for his actions. According to Hugh Billington, early
:05:49. > :05:53.this year something snapped. His marriage had broken down, he had
:05:53. > :05:58.left home and was under a court order not to return. But he did -
:05:58. > :06:03.in a dramatic act of revenge. Early on 20th January, he drove a tanker
:06:03. > :06:07.laden with kerosene into the front of the family home. His estranged
:06:07. > :06:12.wife ran out the back unhurt. He then went through the house setting
:06:12. > :06:16.fires, before running away. There was an extraordinary act of bravery
:06:16. > :06:20.here that morning. A passing motorist saw the tanker buried in
:06:20. > :06:24.the house, saw that it was leaking fuel and saw that there was a fire
:06:24. > :06:29.underneath it. He leapt into the cab and reversed the tanker out
:06:29. > :06:33.into the road, away from the flames. Bad motorist was Darren Fletcher,
:06:33. > :06:40.who had to stop his daughter of that school. The judge praised his
:06:40. > :06:44.bravery. -- of that motorists. is close to the school. My children
:06:44. > :06:48.were there and many more. Not only them but the residents of the
:06:48. > :06:52.street. I know it is dangerous and looking back on it I think I
:06:52. > :06:56.probably should not have done it but I did. Today, the court heard
:06:57. > :07:01.that Hugh Billington intended to kill himself in a crash. He pleaded
:07:01. > :07:05.guilty to four charges, including reckless arson. It is an extreme
:07:05. > :07:09.example of domestic violence and one that we do not often see.
:07:09. > :07:14.Clearly, Hugh Billington on this particular day committed a very
:07:14. > :07:18.serious offence against his wife. The effect upon her have been
:07:18. > :07:23.catastrophic. She has lost everything, including her marriage,
:07:23. > :07:27.her house and her belongings. court was told that Hugh Billington
:07:27. > :07:31.served 25 years in the Army as a musician and left with an exemplary
:07:31. > :07:35.record. But the judge said his actions on this occasion were
:07:35. > :07:40.wickedly irresponsible, that people were out and about - including
:07:40. > :07:45.children - and the tanker could have become an enormous bomb. He
:07:45. > :07:50.sentenced Hugh Billington to seven years in prison.
:07:50. > :07:52.A number of current and former Brighton and Hove Albion
:07:52. > :07:59.footballers are to appear in court in the City next week, after being
:07:59. > :08:02.charged with sexual offences. Mark Sanders is in hour of Brighton
:08:02. > :08:06.studio. Four players have been charged in
:08:06. > :08:12.relation to an alleged sex attack. Three of them are current serving
:08:12. > :08:18.players with Brighton and Hove Albion. They are George Barker, 20,
:08:18. > :08:23.Lewis Dunk, 20, and Anton Rodgers, who is 19. The 4th man to face
:08:23. > :08:27.charges is Steve Cook, who used to play for Albion but is now with
:08:27. > :08:33.Bournemouth. All of the men are charged with sexually assaulting a

:08:47. > :08:52.May. When police started making arrests in relation to this inquiry
