:00:00. > :00:00.suitable chairman of the Co-op. That is all from the BBC News at six. On

:00:00. > :00:09.Hello, I'm Sally Taylor. Welcome to South Today. In tonight's

:00:10. > :00:11.programme... A hospital apologises after an

:00:12. > :00:20.84`year`old woman is found dead, alone, with her bedside alarm still

:00:21. > :00:24.sounding. I just cried my eyes out and I could not believe that the

:00:25. > :00:27.hospital was like that. The widow of this airport catering

:00:28. > :00:31.worker, who died after falling just a few feet, calls for compulsory

:00:32. > :00:35.head protection. Off limits at the off`licence ` why

:00:36. > :00:43.thousands of cans of super`strength alcohol are being taken off the

:00:44. > :00:47.shelves in Portsmouth. Lots of troublemakers are on the street and

:00:48. > :00:49.we want to stop that, for the safety of the staff and my neighbours and

:00:50. > :00:53.customers. And he's a knock`out ` the Hampshire

:00:54. > :01:05.boxer who's a European Champion at the tender age of 15.

:01:06. > :01:10.The Royal Bournemouth Hospital has apologised to the family of a woman

:01:11. > :01:15.who died after phoning her son from her hospital bed to say she couldn't

:01:16. > :01:18.breathe. When Steve Simpson arrived at his 84`year`old mother Dorothy's

:01:19. > :01:24.bedside, she was dead and her bedside alarm was still sounding.

:01:25. > :01:27.The hospital has since admitted to the family that Mrs Simpson should

:01:28. > :01:37.not have been left alone at any stage. Ena Miller reports.

:01:38. > :01:44.Her family believe Dorothy Simpson died before her time. I only wish I

:01:45. > :01:50.had hugged her before her death. I told her she would be fine. I

:01:51. > :01:55.suppose I regret that. Steve made his usual visit to his mother at the

:01:56. > :02:01.Royal Bournemouth Hospital but when he got home, she called to say she

:02:02. > :02:08.could not breathe. I phoned Jim, who was nearest and he got up there and

:02:09. > :02:13.when he got there, the alarm was bleeping and they were no nurses or

:02:14. > :02:21.anything. I came up behind him and he said that mum had just died. I

:02:22. > :02:25.asked where the nurse was and he said there was nobody at all. I went

:02:26. > :02:35.to get a nurse and she said my mum had died. She said you would not

:02:36. > :02:45.keep a mask on, so what could she do? The judge said... `` the

:02:46. > :02:55.hospital said... In a letter, they also apologised

:02:56. > :02:58.and said they were sorry. We have spoken to the Royal Bournemouth

:02:59. > :03:06.Hospital and said what they cannot do is talk to us about individual

:03:07. > :03:09.cases but what they want to do is talk to the family face`to`face to

:03:10. > :03:20.answer any questions they may have. They also went on to say...

:03:21. > :03:26.I just cried my eyes out and I could not believe that the Royal

:03:27. > :03:32.Bournemouth Hospital was like that. They change it all around, the

:03:33. > :03:38.hospitals. If they traded around like that, perhaps it will be

:03:39. > :03:41.another one`day. At the moment, it is pretty raw.

:03:42. > :03:44.The widow of a man who died after falling from a lorry at Gatwick

:03:45. > :03:48.Airport is calling for compulsory head protection for all workers

:03:49. > :03:52.involved in loading operations. Mike Miles from Lancing in West Sussex

:03:53. > :03:56.worked for Gate Gourmet, the world's largest supplier of airline catering

:03:57. > :04:00.services. He died of head injuries after a fall of just a few feet.

:04:01. > :04:04.Today, a jury inquest into Mr Miles' death returned a verdict of

:04:05. > :04:11.accidental death. Laura Trant has been at the inquest. She's in

:04:12. > :04:18.Horsham tonight. Give us the details.

:04:19. > :04:24.The jury heard that Mike Miles was on a normal day at work, working on

:04:25. > :04:28.a loader, which she had been doing for Gate Gourmet for 17 years. He

:04:29. > :04:34.suffered a fatal accident whilst he was loading a lorry. He felt four

:04:35. > :04:38.feet, which does not sound like much but he hit the left`hand side of his

:04:39. > :04:41.head on the tarmac. Six days later, he died in hospital. We heard from a

:04:42. > :04:56.colleague of Mr Miles... He explained at the time of the

:04:57. > :05:00.accident that Mr Miles did have type one diabetes but that was not

:05:01. > :05:04.affecting him on that day. He said he did not actually see anything

:05:05. > :05:09.that happened before the fall but he did see him fall to the ground. He

:05:10. > :05:16.said, " I ran to him, cradled his head. I see was the thought it was a

:05:17. > :05:30.minor accident, I thought he would be off for a feud a." `` for a feud

:05:31. > :05:38.a. Few days. His wife feels that if he had been wearing protective

:05:39. > :05:42.headgear, he would be alive today. I feel that if he was wearing safety

:05:43. > :05:47.protection in the form of head protection, with a rubberised neck

:05:48. > :05:57.flap, that would have protected him. When he was lifted to the hospital

:05:58. > :06:03.from Gatwick Airport, the only major injury was an impact on the side of

:06:04. > :06:12.his head, which caused brain damage and then his death. The Health and

:06:13. > :06:15.Safety Executive say that Gate Gourmet followed all health and

:06:16. > :06:19.safety guidelines. The jury concluded Mr Miles died from an

:06:20. > :06:21.accident. Thank you. Off`licences in Portsmouth are

:06:22. > :06:24.taking thousands of cans of super`strength lagers and strong

:06:25. > :06:27.ciders off their shelves as part of a scheme to target heavy drinkers.

:06:28. > :06:32.It's estimated that alcohol abuse costs the city more than ?70 million

:06:33. > :06:36.a year. Experts say buying cheap strong larger and cider means you

:06:37. > :06:43.can get 200 units of alcohol for just ?30. That is equivalent to 20

:06:44. > :06:47.bottles of wine. Some businesses say the move will cost them ?300 a day.

:06:48. > :06:54.Our Health Correspondent, David Fenton, has this exclusive report.

:06:55. > :06:58.In Portsmouth, they are clearing cheap, high alcohol drinks off the

:06:59. > :07:06.shelves. We are getting lots of problems with drunken people because

:07:07. > :07:12.of the heavy alcohol staff, so that is why we want to stop this. This

:07:13. > :07:21.shop will lose ?300 a day by not selling the strength, `` by not

:07:22. > :07:29.selling the drink, it is one of 25 businesses. It is about dealing with

:07:30. > :07:38.the issue as a whole am not just targeting stores and asking them to

:07:39. > :07:43.rip the product from the shelves. Police are visiting every

:07:44. > :07:46.off`licence in the area. We have to high rates of alcohol`related liver

:07:47. > :07:52.disease was up people die earlier in the city because of alcohol than

:07:53. > :07:59.they would in other parts of the country. Unfortunately, we have

:08:00. > :08:05.problems to do with anti`social behaviour which is related to

:08:06. > :08:14.alcohol. Not everyone is in favour of this. It will send the cry `` the

:08:15. > :08:20.crime rate through the roof, it will be mad. People have restarted

:08:21. > :08:27.robbing crates of beer. It will be mental. Alcoholism costs Portsmouth

:08:28. > :08:31.?74 million a year. Many hope that this will help what has become a

:08:32. > :08:38.major social problem. David joins me now. Surely drink as

:08:39. > :08:43.will go elsewhere? That will be the issue. Other shops will be selling

:08:44. > :08:46.this stuff and when you look at the shops at had signed up for it, they

:08:47. > :08:51.are all small, independently run corner shops. The big supermarkets

:08:52. > :08:56.have yet to get on board with this. Why do they think this will work? It

:08:57. > :09:05.is all to do with super`strength lager and cider. It costs 16p per

:09:06. > :09:10.unit, which is incredibly cheap. If they can get the alcoholics of that,

:09:11. > :09:16.they feel that it will help improve their condition and keep them out of

:09:17. > :09:19.the door. We see the effects of these products in hospital all too

:09:20. > :09:23.often. Individuals who are at the greatest risk of alcohol`related

:09:24. > :09:32.harm, the ones who are consuming the most, and are starting to suffer the

:09:33. > :09:37.consequences, they are drinking the drinks that give them the biggest

:09:38. > :09:41.bang for their buck. They have the highest level of alcohol. There is

:09:42. > :09:47.one street in Portsmouth, where there are ten drinkers who have

:09:48. > :09:51.committed 115 different offences. If they can make this work, even for a

:09:52. > :10:04.few people, it will have a big impact on the community as a whole.

:10:05. > :10:08.Thank you. Three men have been jailed for a

:10:09. > :10:11.total of 45 years for a "ruthless and callous" string of robberies

:10:12. > :10:14.across the South. Stewart Last, from Windsor, and Richard Loveridge and

:10:15. > :10:17.Andrew Smith, both from Slough, stole ?240,000 from three banks and

:10:18. > :10:20.robbed a series of shops. A fourth man, Lee Fitzgerald, was cleared of

:10:21. > :10:21.all charges. Our Home Affairs Correspondent, Alex Forsyth,

:10:22. > :10:24.reports. A moment of terror caught on

:10:25. > :10:26.camera. In December two years ago, masked men broke into this carphone

:10:27. > :10:31.warehouse near Reading, wielding crowbars. It was one of eight string

:10:32. > :10:34.of robberies across the south, in which thousands of pounds in goods

:10:35. > :10:38.and cash were stolen. Police first launched and it investigations when

:10:39. > :10:44.the nationwide building society was robbed here in Hampshire. On a

:10:45. > :10:47.Friday night two years ago, security guards were refilling a cash machine

:10:48. > :10:52.when the men smashed their way in with a sledgehammer and stole

:10:53. > :10:59.?50,000. The local community was shocked by it. It takes years and

:11:00. > :11:02.months to get back together. There are a lot of tenants here who were

:11:03. > :11:08.dismayed it had happened in their precinct. Soon after two banks work

:11:09. > :11:12.robbed. Police again to link the crime is. After a long and complex

:11:13. > :11:17.investigation, Andrew Smith was jailed for 11 years for conspiracy

:11:18. > :11:23.to rob. Richard Loveridge and Stewart Last were jailed for 17

:11:24. > :11:30.years each, for conspiracy to rob and burgle. The police say these men

:11:31. > :11:32.were response or for dozens of crimes across the region and made

:11:33. > :11:41.hundreds of thousands of pounds, which funded a lifestyle including

:11:42. > :11:44.Rolex watches and Gucci shoes. They were prolific in their nature,

:11:45. > :11:48.ruthless in the way they carried it out. They often use violence and

:11:49. > :11:53.weapons. By convicting these resourceful criminals, the impact on

:11:54. > :11:57.the crimes they would have committed is immeasurable. The judge said

:11:58. > :12:01.their meticulously planned crimes were motivated by greed and would

:12:02. > :12:11.have been terrifying experiences for all those who witnessed them. Still

:12:12. > :12:14.to come in this evening's South Today... It was a long night for our

:12:15. > :12:21.trasnport correspondent, Paul Clifton. You can see the railway

:12:22. > :12:34.being dug up here. It is 1am and the tracks between Salisbury and Andover

:12:35. > :12:37.are being relayed. A 34`year`old man has been arrested

:12:38. > :12:40.on suspicion of murdering a woman in Worthing. Police were called after

:12:41. > :12:44.the 50`year`old was found dead in her ground floor flat in Heron

:12:45. > :12:48.Court. Detectives want to hear from anyone who may have seen a man and

:12:49. > :12:50.woman arguing in Bedford Row on Monday afternoon. The postmortem

:12:51. > :12:51.examination took place earlier today.

:12:52. > :12:54.Formal redundancy notices have been issued today by the Hampshire rubber

:12:55. > :12:57.manufacturer Polimeri Europa, which announced the closure of its factory

:12:58. > :12:59.at Hythe near Southampton earlier this month. Trade Union

:13:00. > :13:03.representatives met with management from the company this morning to try

:13:04. > :13:07.to save the jobs of the 300 people at the site, including more than 160

:13:08. > :13:13.contractors. The GMB union says that talks will continue next week.

:13:14. > :13:15.As the UK aid for the relief effort in the Phillipines continues to

:13:16. > :13:20.build, two Portsmouth`based warships are playing a full part in tackling

:13:21. > :13:23.the humanitarian crisis there. The helicopter carrier HMS Illustrious

:13:24. > :13:28.is taking on supplies before heading to islands devastated by Typhoon

:13:29. > :13:31.Haiyan. When she arrives, she'll take over from HMS Daring, whose

:13:32. > :13:33.crew is already hard at work distributing supplies and helping to

:13:34. > :13:45.rebuild shattered Filipino communities. Steve Humphrey reports.

:13:46. > :13:49.The crew of the Portsmouth `based destroyer HMS Daring helping people

:13:50. > :13:58.in some of the most remote parts of the Philippines which were struck by

:13:59. > :14:02.Typhoon Haiyan. The sailors have been lending a hand wherever they

:14:03. > :14:08.can and working closely with local people and with charities. These

:14:09. > :14:16.guys are going on top of the roof to fix the roof. It is just so they can

:14:17. > :14:24.have a good, steady roof on the school. Our first task is to clear

:14:25. > :14:28.this area so kids can start using it again as a school. We are blessed

:14:29. > :14:35.and happy to have the Navy here to help us rebuild our classrooms. The

:14:36. > :14:42.ship's helicopter has been indispensable, bringing people and

:14:43. > :14:46.supplies was up one of the biggest priorities here is restoring

:14:47. > :14:49.supplies of safe drinking water. There are six wells on the island,

:14:50. > :14:55.so we need to establish the condition of each of those. We have

:14:56. > :15:10.brought water testing kits, and we can provide a stable water supply.

:15:11. > :15:16.It will replace HMS Illustrious. The RAF has also been delivering

:15:17. > :15:22.supplies. Among the planes was a C 17 cargo plane from Brize Norton,

:15:23. > :15:34.which delivered heavy equipment. So far, the British public have donated

:15:35. > :15:36.?35 million to the relief effort. Anti`cuts campaigners have held a

:15:37. > :15:41.small protest outside Southampton City Council's headquarters. The

:15:42. > :15:44.demonstration came as Keith Morrell, the leader of the Councillors

:15:45. > :15:47.Against Cuts Group proposed a motion calling on central government to

:15:48. > :15:51.stop reducing funding for local councils. The city council has to

:15:52. > :15:57.save ?20 million in next year's budget.

:15:58. > :16:01.Now, have a look at this... It covers up to half a mile each night,

:16:02. > :16:06.digging up old sleepers and replacing the rail track. This giant

:16:07. > :16:11.train is replacing the line between Salisbury and Andover for the first

:16:12. > :16:16.time in 50 years. It operates five times faster than conventional gangs

:16:17. > :16:18.of workers. While it means disruption for late`night

:16:19. > :16:21.passengers, the alternative would be almost a year of weekend closures.

:16:22. > :16:27.Our transport correspondent, Paul Clifton, spent the night watching it

:16:28. > :16:34.in action. It is midnight. It is well below

:16:35. > :16:41.freezing. The men here are used to that. They work four nights a week.

:16:42. > :16:49.The British rail network is busier than usual. It is carrying bigger

:16:50. > :16:52.and heavier trains than before. We need to keep up with that. This is

:16:53. > :16:58.the most efficient way of doing that. At one third of a mile, this

:16:59. > :17:02.train is so long that it needs its own railway running along the top,

:17:03. > :17:07.feeding the machine with new concrete sleepers. The old wooden

:17:08. > :17:14.ones are dug up and stored. The track bed is scraped, with the new

:17:15. > :17:19.line being laid and fixed in place. All directly underneath the slowly

:17:20. > :17:26.moving train. In effect, we have a moving factory building a railway

:17:27. > :17:30.whilst it runs on it. The Swiss built train, with 80 support crew,

:17:31. > :17:35.can relay up to half a mile of track each night. That is five times more

:17:36. > :17:39.than a gang of track workers could achieve in a shift. Doing this the

:17:40. > :17:44.old way would have meant a whole year of closing the row way every

:17:45. > :17:50.weekend. This is a track we were worried about. It had a lot of speed

:17:51. > :17:54.astringents last year, cause a lot of delayed to our customers was not

:17:55. > :17:58.just here but because trains late going into Waterloo, it causes a lot

:17:59. > :18:03.of delay around Waterloo. We are really pleased to renew this track.

:18:04. > :18:08.The last time the whole track was renewed here, the trains look like

:18:09. > :18:15.this. Since then, bright lines have closed, sidings have been removed,

:18:16. > :18:20.the work should mean more reliable journeys on this increasingly busy

:18:21. > :18:24.route. Nearby, Grateley station is deserted. The work means that

:18:25. > :18:32.late`night services are placed by buses. Working four nights a week,

:18:33. > :18:36.the train will reach Andover before Christmas and then work in the

:18:37. > :18:51.opposite direction, getting to Salisbury by the end of January.

:18:52. > :19:00.He is tired today, I can tell you! You will be tired, listening to the

:19:01. > :19:04.cricket. The Ashes starts tonight.

:19:05. > :19:07.We're just over five hours from the start of the Ashes at the Gabba in

:19:08. > :19:11.Brisbane. The South's three first`class counties are all set to

:19:12. > :19:14.be represented in the England team. Surrey's Kevin Pietersen will play

:19:15. > :19:17.his 100th Test, while his county colleague Chris Tremlett has been

:19:18. > :19:20.tipped for selection as the third seam bowler. Hampshire batsman

:19:21. > :19:22.Michael Carberry is set to make his second Test appearance. While the

:19:23. > :19:25.biggest doubt concerns Sussex wicketkeeper Matt Prior, who has

:19:26. > :19:30.been battling a calf injury. Play gets underway at midnight UK time.

:19:31. > :19:36.Good luck if you are staying up, tried to watch it all .

:19:37. > :19:39.It wasn't a good night for England at Wembley, as they went down 1`0 to

:19:40. > :19:42.Germany. But the Southampton captain Adam Lallana turned in another

:19:43. > :19:45.performance that caught the eye of England manager Roy Hodgson. Hodgson

:19:46. > :19:49.called Lallana a "major find", and said that the 25`year`old had played

:19:50. > :19:52.himself right into contention for a spot on the plane to next year's

:19:53. > :19:56.World Cup in Brazil. It was only Lallana's second cap last night but

:19:57. > :20:00.now his sights are firmly fixed on reaching Rio next summer.

:20:01. > :20:04.It is where I want to be playing week in, week out. It has given me

:20:05. > :20:09.even more drive to go back to my club and the performing well each

:20:10. > :20:12.week. I am desperate to be involved in the next squad and get to Brazil.

:20:13. > :20:14.A teenager from Southampton Boxing Club is celebrating winning a

:20:15. > :20:18.prestigious gold medal. 15`year`old Ryan Garner took the European Junior

:20:19. > :20:20.Amateur Title in Russia and now has long`term ambitions of the 2020

:20:21. > :20:30.Olympics and ultimately turning professional.

:20:31. > :20:35.Behind the gloves, Ryan Garner is a determined young man with big plans

:20:36. > :20:40.for his career. Having lost in the first round last year, winning his

:20:41. > :20:50.54 kilograms weight division this time demonstrated a huge leap

:20:51. > :20:54.forward. I won the National 's twice and another jab Egypt once was

:20:55. > :20:59.nothing is as big as this. I have been to Chev Richards as big as this

:21:00. > :21:07.and did not get as far. `` championships as big as this. It was

:21:08. > :21:13.physically demanding, with four bouts in six days. We were all tired

:21:14. > :21:19.but I knew that if I dug deep, I could be European champion and make

:21:20. > :21:24.everyone proud. Victory over Ireland's Martin Stokes sealed the

:21:25. > :21:32.gold medal, a fitting reward for the man who made captain for the England

:21:33. > :21:37.squad. It brought a smile to my face. We tell him what he needs to

:21:38. > :21:41.hear rather than what he wants to hear. That is important for a young

:21:42. > :21:50.lad like that. If he steers clear of injuries, and stays in love with the

:21:51. > :21:56.game, he knows that he could have a great future in the sport. He is

:21:57. > :22:02.eligible to join the GB squad, which would make a sweet start to 2014.

:22:03. > :22:06.Another one whose progress we will keep an eye on.

:22:07. > :22:10.This week, we're meeting the three finalists hoping to be named the BBC

:22:11. > :22:13.South Sports Unsung Hero for 2013. Tonight, we feature Penny Jann, team

:22:14. > :22:19.manager and secretary for a riding club in Surrey.

:22:20. > :22:22.Just walking for the moment. For three decades, Penny has been the

:22:23. > :22:28.driving force behind this riding club. I don't know how anyone could

:22:29. > :22:32.put in that much. She is the glue that holds every thing together. On

:22:33. > :22:35.top of a full`time job, she devotes endless hours each week, often

:22:36. > :22:41.staying into the early hours to organise events. She would not have

:22:42. > :22:46.it any other way. I enjoy seeing them enjoy themselves, it is great

:22:47. > :22:51.for me when that happens. That team spirit and atmosphere that you get

:22:52. > :22:55.from that. She is the mother of the club, she gets to know everyone and

:22:56. > :23:02.she makes it a very happy and enjoyable place to be. Well done,

:23:03. > :23:06.all of you. She has helped thousands of people, inspiring them to have a

:23:07. > :23:11.go, no matter their ability. She kept on and on at me about

:23:12. > :23:16.competing. I kept saying no, I am not a competitor. She persuaded me

:23:17. > :23:24.to do the pairs competition and, to our surprise, we qualified and won

:23:25. > :23:28.it! Which, at my age, was wonderful. I have had to retire

:23:29. > :23:31.because I cannot do any better. Penny's dedication is clear and

:23:32. > :23:36.arises from a true passion for the sport. I do believe in riding clubs.

:23:37. > :23:45.It is a wonderful movement was a bit rings people in and gives them a

:23:46. > :23:50.chance to do things. It may not inspire them to be analytical rider

:23:51. > :23:52.but they will get on a horse and it gives them an opportunity to do

:23:53. > :23:54.that. We'll be meeting our third finalist

:23:55. > :23:57.tomorrow night. And, finally, there was a blow today

:23:58. > :24:00.for Poole Speedway. Their captain and former world champion Chris

:24:01. > :24:03.Holder has confirmed he won't be returning to the Pirates for the

:24:04. > :24:07.2014 season. The Australian suffered a broken femur during a bad crash

:24:08. > :24:10.last year. He's decided to reduce his commitments around the world as

:24:11. > :24:13.he returns to action. Holder has tweeted, though, that it's not the

:24:14. > :24:17.end of his Poole career and promoter Matt Ford says they could call on

:24:18. > :24:22.him on a short`term basis during 2014.

:24:23. > :24:28.One bit of news just in. If you are an Oxford United fan, a match has

:24:29. > :24:37.been called off due to a waterlogged pitch. That is off, I am afraid.

:24:38. > :24:41.Spare a thought for our colleagues, who will have gone to Gateshead to

:24:42. > :24:57.bring you commentary and have but a long trip home. Some of the fans

:24:58. > :25:03.will have gone as well! We had thunder storms right across

:25:04. > :25:05.the region. We had reports on our Twitter account. All over the

:25:06. > :25:10.region, we had thunder and hail around midday. Some lovely weather

:25:11. > :25:13.pictures. Chris Grimmett captured this

:25:14. > :25:14.tranquil scene on Hightown Common in Ringwood.

:25:15. > :25:27.Autumn windfall photographed by Ginny Boxall in Chawton in

:25:28. > :25:31.Hampshire. And who knows what is going on here.

:25:32. > :25:36.This photo was taken near Setley Pond in the New Forest by Martin

:25:37. > :25:39.Perry, just as the rain stopped. It will stay cold each day this week

:25:40. > :25:44.and frost is on the card each night as well. A truly feel to things each

:25:45. > :25:48.day and night. Through the course of the night, we will see wintry

:25:49. > :25:54.showers. That may bring the risk of ice, with Tebbit is falling away

:25:55. > :25:58.towards freezing. The wintry showers will continue over the hills with a

:25:59. > :26:02.dusting of snow at lower levels, packs a mix of hail and sleet. The

:26:03. > :26:07.rain showers will continue to the night with lows of 2`3 Celsius and a

:26:08. > :26:10.north`westerly wind that wind will take the edge off temperatures

:26:11. > :26:15.tomorrow. The showers will continue, a wintry mix. Some

:26:16. > :26:20.sunshine on offer and the north easterly wind will take the edge off

:26:21. > :26:25.that averages. There is a 3`4 degrees drop from what it should be

:26:26. > :26:28.at this time of year. The showers tomorrow evening will fade away,

:26:29. > :26:33.with clearing skies. Under those clear skies, Inc sheltered spots,

:26:34. > :26:41.there may be a touch of frost in the countryside. Temperatures dropped to

:26:42. > :26:45.2`3d, but freezing into rural spots. The good news is this area of high

:26:46. > :26:48.pressure continues to build, we will see the wind coming in from the

:26:49. > :26:52.north`west. There is still a cold field of things but the wind will

:26:53. > :26:56.gradually ease. You can see the widening of the isobars as we head

:26:57. > :26:59.through the day. Still the risk of the odd shower, particularly for the

:27:00. > :27:03.southeastern corner of the country. For the rest of the week, we can

:27:04. > :27:06.expected a view wintry showers tomorrow, with a keen north`easterly

:27:07. > :27:11.wind staying with us right through this week. Sunny spells and acquired

:27:12. > :27:14.a day on Friday, although the wind is strong until the end of the day.

:27:15. > :27:21.The winds start to ease as we head to the weekend. There is the risk of

:27:22. > :27:28.a shower Saturday. By Sunday, more cloud and the North wind will make

:27:29. > :27:33.it feel quite raw in the open. It is very, very cold. We will have

:27:34. > :27:39.more for you at 8pm and 10:25pm. Thank you for joining us and make

:27:40. > :27:43.sure you wrap up warm. Thank you for joining us. Good night.
