:00:00. > :00:10.Thank you very much. That is it from us.

:00:11. > :00:17.Good afternoon, I'm Jo Kent with the news in the South. Multiple flood

:00:18. > :00:21.warnings have been issued for the South as more heavy rain passes

:00:22. > :00:24.across the region. A landslip has blocked the rail line between

:00:25. > :00:28.Eastleigh and Fareham, with knock`on effects to other rail services. With

:00:29. > :00:31.localised flooding on many roads, the Environment Agency has renewed

:00:32. > :00:37.its warning not to risk driving through floodwater. Last night's

:00:38. > :00:41.downpours saw more flooding in the village of Hambledon in Hampshire.

:00:42. > :00:50.There was raw sewage in the street after pumping equipment broke down.

:00:51. > :00:53.Many people check their pumps through the night, setting their

:00:54. > :00:59.alarm clocks every couple of hours, so they are exhausted. The stress of

:01:00. > :01:03.running a business, going to school, living your life, has become

:01:04. > :01:12.protracted and very different red difficult. `` very difficult.

:01:13. > :01:15.A man`made island for 200 cars could be built in Poole Bay, under plans

:01:16. > :01:18.being considered by the Crown Estate. The Estate, which looks

:01:19. > :01:21.after the property portfolio of the Queen, wants to lease part of the

:01:22. > :01:24.shoreline in the harbour. Its preferred bidder has drawn up plans

:01:25. > :01:27.including a parking island and connecting bridge. But there is

:01:28. > :01:29.strong opposition from residents, councillors and environmental

:01:30. > :01:33.groups. We were absolutely staggered. Fancy

:01:34. > :01:42.the concept of building in Poole Bay and island to park 200 cars. We want

:01:43. > :01:45.to prevent this desecration of Poole Harbour and ensure that the

:01:46. > :01:49.environment is protected. The Crown Estate declined to be

:01:50. > :01:52.interviewed. And there is more on that story on our current affairs

:01:53. > :01:56.programme the Sunday Politics tomorrow at 11 o'clock on BBC One.

:01:57. > :02:00.The Highways Agency is to look at extra safety measures for a major

:02:01. > :02:03.road in West Sussex. There has been a spate of recent accidents on the

:02:04. > :02:07.A27 around the Southwick Tunnel. The road currently has a speed limit of

:02:08. > :02:15.70 miles an hour. The local MP, Tim Loughton, says drivers should be

:02:16. > :02:19.more aware of the risks. What I have particularly suggested

:02:20. > :02:25.is that at the very least we need some obvious signage saying X number

:02:26. > :02:31.of accidents over the last however many months. If people were a bit

:02:32. > :02:36.more cautious, hopefully we would have fewer accidents.

:02:37. > :02:39.On to football, and Southampton are aiming to stretch their unbeaten run

:02:40. > :03:05.to six games at Fulham this afternoon in the Premier League.

:03:06. > :03:14.The match between haven't and Waterloo and Aldershot has been

:03:15. > :03:22.postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

:03:23. > :03:30.The sunny skies of this morning are given way `` giving way to heavy,

:03:31. > :03:36.thundery showers. We have a yellow warning for wind, with possible

:03:37. > :03:41.coastal flooding. The showers could bring some hail and thunder through

:03:42. > :03:44.the afternoon with some bright spells as well. The strong winds

:03:45. > :03:49.continue into this evening but gradually eased down through the

:03:50. > :03:55.night. The lines of showers become more scattered, lows of four to

:03:56. > :03:56.seven degrees. Tomorrow, more bright spells and fewer showers but still

:03:57. > :04:03.quite blustery. Do have a very good afternoon.

:04:04. > :04:13.Goodbye. Some of us will have to brace

:04:14. > :04:18.ourselves today. Leaning forward into the wind. If you live over the

:04:19. > :04:23.west of the UK, there are gale-force winds on the way, but the main

:04:24. > :04:27.hazards are the gales and the potential for flooding. Tomorrow, a

:04:28. > :04:31.blustery day but on balance, it will be a better day. This is the current

:04:32. > :04:36.storm that is just about approaching the UK now. It looks like from space

:04:37. > :04:40.you can see a swirl of cloud. The worst of the weather is close to the

:04:41. > :04:46.centre of the storm. You can see how clear the east of the country is.

:04:47. > :04:50.Lovely sunshine this morning and at lunch time. Here the strength of the

:04:51. > :04:56.wind will be felt over the western and southern areas, especially

:04:57. > :04:58.across the south-west and the Welsh coasts.

:04:59. > :04:59.Gusts up to 07
