:00:12. > :00:14.Good evening. I'm David Allard with the news in the south. A community

:00:15. > :00:17.came together today to pay their last respects to a newsagent who

:00:18. > :00:19.died after being attacked outside his shop in Eastleigh. Choudhry

:00:20. > :00:23.Zishan suffered fatal head injuries two weeks ago. Two men have been

:00:24. > :00:30.charged with his murder. James Ingham reports.

:00:31. > :00:33.Friends and family gathered at the Medina mosque this morning to pay

:00:34. > :00:36.their last respects to Choudry Zishan. The 35`year`old was killed

:00:37. > :00:40.as he prepared for work on the last Sunday of March. In the early hours

:00:41. > :00:46.he was attacked outside his shop. He suffered head injuries and died in

:00:47. > :00:49.hospital shortly afterwards. He was well known in parts of Eastleigh

:00:50. > :00:52.where he'd run a newsagents for many years. His customers showed their

:00:53. > :00:57.shock and sorrow, leaving flowers where they normally shopped. You

:00:58. > :01:05.couldn't ask for a nicer chap. That's all I can say, really. He'd

:01:06. > :01:11.help anybody. He was very friendly, very nice, business minded person.

:01:12. > :01:16.And he was a very, very intelligent and clever guy. Very kind. Two

:01:17. > :01:21.brothers have been charged with murder. Jonathon and Samuel McKinley

:01:22. > :01:25.are in custody awaiting trial. Mr Zishan was buried today at a

:01:26. > :01:28.cemetery in Southampton. This has been a traditional Islamic funeral

:01:29. > :01:30.but attended by people of all faiths and none, a reflection of Mr

:01:31. > :01:34.Zishan's popularity in the community in which he lived and worked.

:01:35. > :01:37.A human bone has been discovered in a field where the body of a murdered

:01:38. > :01:39.girl from Swindon was found three years ago. Becky Godden`Edwards

:01:40. > :01:42.disappeared in 2003. Wiltshire Police said the new discovery was

:01:43. > :01:57.made as part of a reinvestigation into the 21`year`old's murder.

:01:58. > :02:02.Detectives said tests still need to be carried out in order to identify

:02:03. > :02:05.the bone. The BBC has discovered that one in

:02:06. > :02:08.four people in the South who lost power in the winter storms and

:02:09. > :02:11.floods are still waiting for compensation. 13,000 homes were left

:02:12. > :02:17.without electricity in Berkshire and Basingstoke. The power company SSE

:02:18. > :02:22.says it's had 30,000 claims to deal with and has verified over 90% of

:02:23. > :02:28.them. Some customers like Alan Land from Finchampstead were cut off for

:02:29. > :02:36.five days. I went onto customer services, who didn't really have an

:02:37. > :02:39.idea of where to go to. It took me three phone calls to get the web

:02:40. > :02:42.address to send it off to. And thereafter, I've responded again on

:02:43. > :02:46.that same website, but now that website has closed down. So if we

:02:47. > :02:48.try again, we're not even getting a response from them, we just get a no

:02:49. > :02:50.signal. The bus operator Southern Vectis has

:02:51. > :02:57.apologised after a controller tweeted a remark about women on the

:02:58. > :02:59.Isle of Wight. The tweet which has since been deleted informed

:03:00. > :03:04.passengers of a good service, but went on to add "some stunning

:03:05. > :03:08.females walking through tonight". The firm apologised and said it's

:03:09. > :03:11.dealing with the matter internally. A quick mention that tomorrow's

:03:12. > :03:14.Sunday Politics will be looking at whether the use of social media by

:03:15. > :03:18.local councils is really getting people connected. It also asks what

:03:19. > :03:21.next for Basingstoke MP Maria Miller following her resignation as Culture

:03:22. > :03:29.Secretary in a row over her expenses. That's at the later time

:03:30. > :03:32.of 2.30pm here on BBC One. Onto football and defeat for

:03:33. > :03:37.Southampton this afternoon at home to Premier League strugglers Cardiff

:03:38. > :03:39.City. Saints enjoyed the majority of possession throughout the game but

:03:40. > :03:43.couldn't find an equaliser after going behind in the second half. In

:03:44. > :03:45.the Championship a 3`0 win for Brighton at home to Charlton sees

:03:46. > :03:48.them move into the play`offs. Meanwhile Bournemouth keep up the

:03:49. > :04:01.fight, but could only manage a 1`1 draw away at Yeovil. Reading play on

:04:02. > :04:04.Monday. In League One MK Dons lost 2`0 at home to Crawley. But a 1`0

:04:05. > :04:07.win for Swindon against title`contenders Brentford puts them

:04:08. > :04:09.seventh. And in League Two a fantastic away win for Portsmouth.

:04:10. > :04:12.They thrashed Dagenham and Redbridge 4`1. While Oxford United move into

:04:13. > :04:13.the play`off positions with a 2`0 win away at Plymouth.

:04:14. > :04:25.N. `` let's get the weather now. We have more than 20 morrow, denied

:04:26. > :04:29.it is looking cloudy at first, light rain from the cloud as well. It

:04:30. > :04:35.becomes dry later in the night, the cloud breaking up in the early

:04:36. > :04:42.hours. Possibly one or two missed practice for tomorrow morning, some

:04:43. > :04:45.sunny spells on Sunday morning. Variable cloud tomorrow, it should

:04:46. > :04:50.be dry, still some sunshine but warmer as well. The fine weather

:04:51. > :04:51.looks set to continue next week with some warm sunshine particularly on

:04:52. > :04:57.Tuesday and Wednesday. We are back tomorrow at 6:50pm. Good

:04:58. > :05:17.night. We start with a look at the latest

:05:18. > :05:22.satellite sequence, because it shows what has been going on over the last

:05:23. > :05:25.few hours. This band of cloud has been slipping south across England

:05:26. > :05:29.and Wales. A bit of patchy rain to come from that, but nothing of

:05:30. > :05:33.significance. Quite the story across the north of Scotland . And some

:05:34. > :05:39.fairly frequent showers to the north and west of Scotland. That is it by

:05:40. > :05:44.dawn. Most places will see clear spells and it wouldn't turn -- it

:05:45. > :05:50.will turn cold, particularly in raw areas. In the morning, one or two

:05:51. > :05:55.showers along the northern coast of Ireland. But the south and east are

:05:56. > :05:56.doing well in the morning. Bright and breezy across the north of

:05:57. > :05:57.England.
