:04:01. > :04:09.He then went on to describe how the bear turned
:04:10. > :04:12.on him, how he ended up wrestling with the animal and trying to gouge
:04:13. > :04:18.Eventually, the bear moved off, he said he did not know why.
:04:19. > :04:21.He picked up the rifle and managed to shoot it dead.
:04:22. > :04:25.This afternoon we heard frol the second leader, the mountain leader
:04:26. > :04:31.He explained how he too had been attacked by the bear,
:04:32. > :04:34.he said he had been woken bx the commotion in the early lorning.
:04:35. > :04:37.He had gone outside and heard Michael Reid say
:04:38. > :04:41.At that point he threw some rocks at the bear to scare it off.
:04:42. > :04:45.The bear turned on him and knocked him to the ground, and he s`id that
:04:46. > :04:49.is when he came face`to`facd with the polar bear because its paws were
:04:50. > :04:53.resting on his shoulder and its claws were swiping his face
:04:54. > :04:57.Both of them have talked about the safety precautions used in the camp.

:05:02. > :05:05.a system used around the calp that sets off flares and alarms to try
:05:06. > :05:10.and alert anyone to intruders, of course in this case polar bears.

:05:13. > :05:17.happy with the modifications the group had made with papdrclips.
