:00:10. > :00:12.An investigation's under wax into a fire that destroyed several

:00:13. > :00:17.70 firefighters from across the county were calldd to

:00:18. > :00:35.This industrial estate was home to seven businesses, mostly involved in

:00:36. > :00:39.car repairs. Overnight it w`s largely destroyed. Firefighters

:00:40. > :00:46.managed to stop it spreading to an adjoining property occupied by a man

:00:47. > :00:52.who was quadriplegic. My carer came into the room and said the

:00:53. > :00:56.industrial estate's on fire. Dogs were panicking, getting really

:00:57. > :01:01.scared. It was quite worrying. Large quantities of tools and

:01:02. > :01:08.equipment were also destroydd. These guys work work `` week to wdek, they

:01:24. > :01:27.Radical plans have been drawn up to build houses that can float,

:01:28. > :01:31.30 floating homes are being proposed near Theale,

:01:32. > :01:35.But some local residents ard worried it'll increase the risk

:01:36. > :01:44.After this year's winter floods some developers believe flo`ting

:01:45. > :01:47.homes are long overdue in the UK. But Theale Lake is one

:01:48. > :01:50.of the most important sites for nightingales in the country, and

:01:51. > :01:53.home to thousands of other species. This area has taken so many years to

:01:54. > :01:56.develop into what is now a very important site in Berkshire,

:01:57. > :01:59.for wildlife in general, and to have a development like that would ruin

:02:00. > :02:06.a goodly proportion of this area. This area was flooded

:02:07. > :02:11.in three feet of water this winter. If the thing gets built and it's

:02:12. > :02:14.found not to work, it's too late. Some local sailing groups are keen

:02:15. > :02:16.to capitalise, though, on the benefits

:02:17. > :02:19.the development could offer. If we come together as a single

:02:20. > :02:23.organisation that just allows us to offer better things to the local

:02:24. > :02:25.community, improve the leistre At a public consultation today,

:02:26. > :02:46.the developers tried to reassure It is our ability to control the

:02:47. > :02:51.level of the water that will enable us `` houses to rise and fall the

:02:52. > :02:53.water. Local planners and the Environment

:02:54. > :02:58.Agency will also need convincing that this could work.

:02:59. > :03:00.Steam enthusiasts have been celebrating 35 years' annivdrsary of

:03:01. > :03:03.the resumption of passenger trains on the Swanage Railway this weekend.

:03:04. > :03:06.The branch line was closed by British Rail in 1972,

:03:07. > :03:14.but volunteers have gradually re`built the iconic branch line

:03:15. > :03:21.and it's been re`connected to the national rail network.

:03:22. > :03:29.The powerful locomotive, only built a few years ago, has been this

:03:30. > :03:33.weekend's centrepiece. She hs running on a branch line th`t has

:03:34. > :03:40.been rebuilt by volunteers. Their efforts have been getting plenty of

:03:41. > :03:46.praise from visitors. They `re incredibly dedicated guys. Ht is a

:03:47. > :03:51.legacy that we leave to futtre generations, something they will all

:03:52. > :03:58.appreciate. It is absolutely Trojan, puts

:03:59. > :04:03.British Rail to shame. British Rail shut the line hn 1 72,

:04:04. > :04:07.but within a short time voltnteers were rebuilding it. This wedkend

:04:08. > :04:13.some of those original pionders were given special awards. Peopld think

:04:14. > :04:18.this has always been here. Some of these things look as though they

:04:19. > :04:22.have been here all the time, but some of us know what we havd had to

:04:23. > :04:31.do to get here! Last year 210,000 people tr`velled

:04:32. > :04:35.on the railway. It makes a lajor contribution to Dorset's totrist

:04:36. > :04:39.industry, worth around ?40 lillion per year.

:04:40. > :04:43.The railway's next target is to get regular passenger services running

:04:44. > :04:47.up to Wareham, so people can connect with trains on the national rail

:04:48. > :05:01.network. Hopefully by autumn of next year.

:05:28. > :05:31.nights. Temperatures down to around 11 or 12 degrees typically. Tomorrow

:05:32. > :05:36.we should see a lot of brightness, sunshine around, but increasingly we

:06:13. > :06:17.fine end to the weekend with some sunshine. You might be firing up the
