:01:11. > :01:16.She could not understand whx staff thought she had already had one and

:01:17. > :01:26.When one of them checked, it emerged they were using details rel`ting to

:01:27. > :01:29.her husband Bill who had didd of cancer only 18 months earlier.

:01:30. > :01:36.Cathy's husband Bill died jtst days before her birthday last ye`r.

:01:37. > :01:39.At the end, she slept on the floor beside

:01:40. > :01:44.his bed, nursing the RAF veteran through cancer and Alzheimer's.

:01:45. > :01:53.A visit to here, though, open the old wounds.

:01:54. > :01:57.Staff insisted she'd had tests she couldn't remember, before

:01:58. > :02:03.She said there must be two Cathy Patients.

:02:04. > :02:06.I said, no, I'm the only ond and I'm the good one.

:02:07. > :02:11.I thought, at the end of thd day, they're probably tired or something

:02:12. > :02:15.She went away again and left me on this table and she came back

:02:16. > :02:18.and said, we've got your husband's notes mixed up with yours.

:02:19. > :02:25.She said, don't worry, you're just as one now.

:02:26. > :02:29.With this, tears came to my eyes and I started crying.

:02:30. > :02:32.She later lodged a complaint with Frimley Park.

:02:33. > :02:35.Yesterday after the BBC contacted the hospital, she finally rdceived

:02:36. > :02:47.I know I've got to cope with it and go over it but it is hard.

:02:48. > :02:50.But I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me.

:02:51. > :02:53.I want them to sort it out so no`one else goes through what

:02:54. > :02:58.The hospital is now investigating what it describes as an error

:02:59. > :03:02.which led to the records of Mrs Patient being combined with

:03:03. > :03:06.those of her late husband on their electronic system.

:03:07. > :03:09.They say this has never happened before and there was no chance

:03:10. > :03:14.that it could have led to hdr receiving inappropriate tre`tment.

:03:15. > :03:18.They are now looking to makd sure it never happens again.

:03:19. > :03:23.Joe Campbell, BBC South Tod`y, Frimley Park Hospital.

:03:24. > :03:27.The Government says measures to curb alcohol misuse in the Navy

:03:28. > :03:30.introduced after a drunken sailor shot dead an officer

:03:31. > :03:33.on board a submarine in Southampton are having a beneficial imp`ct.

:03:34. > :03:37.But it hasn't implemented all the recommendations made by the coroner

:03:38. > :03:47.Steve, what is the Navy sayhng about its new alcohol rules?

:03:48. > :03:50.Well, the general message from Fleet Headquarters here in

:03:51. > :03:56.Portsmouth is that measures to curb excessive drinking are paying off.

:03:57. > :03:59.They say changes to the rulds were already underway before

:04:00. > :04:05.It happened when the nuclear submarine was in Southampton docks

:04:06. > :04:12.Sailor Ryan Donovan carried out the shooting after being given ` rifle

:04:13. > :04:15.to go on guard duty ` even though he had been drinking heavily.

:04:16. > :04:18.Lt Commander Ian Molyneux, who was married with four children,

:04:19. > :04:23.Another officer was severely wounded.

:04:24. > :04:25.So, Steve, after the inquest, the coroner made a whole raft

:04:26. > :04:31.Yes, and differences remain between what the coroner suggested

:04:32. > :04:40.The coroner wanted breath tdsts for all sailors doing armed guard

:04:41. > :04:47.The MoD says breath tests whll be carried out

:04:48. > :04:49.when there is "reasonable c`use to believe a sailor is under

:04:50. > :04:52.The coroner wanted random breath testing.

:04:53. > :04:56.The Mod says the Armed Forcds Act doesn't allow random testing `

:04:57. > :05:00.it says there must be "reasonable cause".

:05:01. > :05:03.The coroner wanted sailors to have no alcohol in the 24 hours

:05:04. > :05:10.The MoD says there should bd no alcohol in the ten hours

:05:11. > :05:15.before duty and no more than five units in the previous 24 hotrs.

:05:16. > :05:20.One former senior officer s`ys the situation is improving

:05:21. > :05:27.There is no doubt there has been a significant decline in the lacho

:05:28. > :05:30.drinking culture that I was used to when I joined the Navy in the 1 70s.

:05:31. > :05:34.Nowadays, people are conscious of their responsibilities, they are

:05:35. > :05:37.operating high`powered equipment and weapons systems and they ard proud

:05:38. > :05:40.They don't want to tarnish that reputation.

:05:41. > :05:44.Nor do they they want to get into trouble, of course.

:05:45. > :05:46.And you wouldn't say no to random testing?

:05:47. > :05:48.I am a great supporter of r`ndom testing of almost everything.

:05:49. > :05:52.Not just alcohol but of discipline, procedures and all sorts

:05:53. > :05:56.It's a great way of making sure people on a

:05:57. > :06:05.day`by`day basis stick to the rules and act responsibly as well.

:06:06. > :06:07.Now, no`one from the Ministry of Defence

:06:08. > :06:11.In a letter to the coroner the Defence Minister Anna Soubry

:06:12. > :06:13.says there is evidence the changes are having a beneficial

:06:14. > :06:22.effect ` but she says she whll keep the situation under review.

:06:23. > :06:29.Meanwhile, it's been revealdd that the family of the man who w`s shot

:06:30. > :06:30.dead on the submarine are taking legal

:06:31. > :06:39.Residents on an Isle of Wight road that collapsed under

:06:40. > :06:41.heavy rain six months ago h`ve written to the Government for help.

:06:42. > :06:44.Some families on Undercliff Drive haven't been able to get to their

:06:45. > :06:47.homes since February and ard having to stay in rental accommodation

:06:48. > :06:50.Now, Ventnor Town Council h`s asked Coastal Communities Minister Penny

:06:51. > :06:56.Mordaunt for ?2 million to repair thd road.

:06:57. > :06:59.Starting a business from a bedroom or a kitchen could

:07:00. > :07:02.soon become easier with most firms becoming exempt from business rates

:07:03. > :07:07.It's part of a package of measures designed to encourage

:07:08. > :07:13.One in ten residential propertids now

:07:14. > :07:16.houses a business according to the Government ` a figure that's gone up

:07:17. > :07:27.Our business correspondent Alastair Fee has more.

:07:28. > :07:38.In the workplace go unnoticdd but is growing in popularity. Two xears

:07:39. > :07:44.ago, when the began a wallp`per and accessories company from her garage.

:07:45. > :07:47.When I started, I was concerned that the notifying the local authority

:07:48. > :07:52.might mean that I would be subject to various charges are planning

:07:53. > :07:59.permissions. Sometimes thosd initial difficulties, you feel you could

:08:00. > :08:06.deal with it further down the line. The Prime Minister was keen to show

:08:07. > :08:10.his support today. 70% of ndw businesses are home businesses. This

:08:11. > :08:18.is where a lot of jobs and growth will come from. The scale of this is

:08:19. > :08:22.immense. The government says a new range of measures will make things

:08:23. > :08:27.easier. In most cases, planning permission would be necessary and

:08:28. > :08:34.your home`based business won't have to pay the same rates. I thought it

:08:35. > :08:40.was great today to get some clarity. I would like to see some more proper

:08:41. > :08:47.business education programmds. Also some more mentoring programles. In

:08:48. > :08:49.the early days, mentoring and wasn't something which worked for ts and

:08:50. > :08:58.the business. And networking opportunities. Her company now has a

:08:59. > :09:00.turnover of more than ?350,000. It is planning to take on Amerhca, all

:09:01. > :09:05.from this home in the new Forest. There are concerns that certain

:09:06. > :09:08.types of shellfish being catght off the Dorset coast may contain

:09:09. > :09:11.a toxin called ASP. People who might be tempted to

:09:12. > :09:13.gather clams, oysters, mussdls and scallops are being warndd they

:09:14. > :09:16.could contain levels of ASP above Adrian Campbell reports

:09:17. > :09:22.from Weymouth. This is

:09:23. > :09:24.the place where people are lost at risk of coming into contact with an

:09:25. > :09:28.algal toxin called ASP, which has been found in shellfish arotnd the

:09:29. > :09:32.coast of the Southwest this summer. Under the microscope,

:09:33. > :09:36.it has a distinctive appear`nce Of all the shellfish, it is scallops

:09:37. > :09:38.which concentrate this toxin It shouldn't be a problem

:09:39. > :09:43.for people getting their fish The main problem could come

:09:44. > :09:47.from people gathering shellfish Divers we spoke to were surprised to

:09:48. > :09:52.hear about the toxin, which has been found around our shores this summer,

:09:53. > :09:57.since an algal bloom in May. Now you know,

:09:58. > :10:09.are you less likely to eat some Here at this laboratory in Weymouth,

:10:10. > :10:17.Government researchers have been analysing shellfish from

:10:18. > :10:20.around the Southwest. What we do is firstly shuck these,

:10:21. > :10:23.we open the shells, then we remove the meat

:10:24. > :10:27.and place it into a tray like this. Once we have enough animals,

:10:28. > :10:31.we put them into a blender The authorities say so far nobody

:10:32. > :10:39.has been affected by the toxin. The shellfish industry has strict

:10:40. > :10:42.guidelines to protect the ptblic but there are risks for those

:10:43. > :10:46.casually gathering shellfish. People who have consumed shdllfish

:10:47. > :10:52.contaminated with ASP toxins may experience diarrhoea, vomithng,

:10:53. > :10:55.confusion. It can also affect short`term memory

:10:56. > :11:00.as well, which can be permanent And, in a few cases,

:11:01. > :11:04.it very rarely has been fat`l. It is important the shellfish

:11:05. > :11:08.are processed very carefullx. It is the gill and the gut

:11:09. > :11:12.which needs to be removed around this particular area,

:11:13. > :11:19.to make safe eating. Shellfish gathering is

:11:20. > :11:22.a popular pastime but for now it seems best to buy shellfish

:11:23. > :11:25.from a reputable source instead Adrian Campbell, BBC South Today,

:11:26. > :11:30.Weymouth. Health officials are investhgating

:11:31. > :11:33.a national salmonella outbrdak, with the largest number

:11:34. > :11:36.of reported cases in Hampshhre. Around 30 of the confirmed cases

:11:37. > :11:40.have been linked to a Chinese restaurant in Eastleigh,

:11:41. > :11:44.which closed for a week in July Experts at Public Health England

:11:45. > :11:48.think they may be linked to other Council officials

:11:49. > :11:53.in Eastleigh say they are still investigating what happened at The

:11:54. > :12:02.Real China, and could take `ction. Still to come

:12:03. > :12:04.in this evening's South Tod`y: Tony with

:12:05. > :12:20.our final football preview. We will hear from Ronald Kerman on

:12:21. > :12:29.Southampton's prospects. Plts the 22`year`old making history tomorrow

:12:30. > :12:33.in the FA Cup. Dairy farmers in the south`west could lose tens of

:12:34. > :12:39.thousands per year if milk prices fall. A world surplus means prices

:12:40. > :12:44.could drop. China has cut its orders and it could lead to calls for the

:12:45. > :12:50.UK Government to set the minimum price for a litre of milk. The

:12:51. > :12:58.reasons are overproduction hn the world and the UK as well. Political

:12:59. > :13:03.reasons, from Russia and Ukraine and the embargo on Russia.

:13:04. > :13:06.25 years ago a group of voltnteers thought they'd stage a small flying

:13:07. > :13:08.display to raise some money for the Royal Air Force Association

:13:09. > :13:11.The Shoreham Air Show has bdcome an annual event that attracts rare

:13:12. > :13:15.The event, a fortnight tomorrow is scheduled to feature aerobatic

:13:16. > :13:19.displays and historic aircr`ft like the Avro Vulcan and two

:13:20. > :13:33.Ena Miller went along to get a taste of what's in store.

:13:34. > :13:42.1000 feet high at 100 mph. For most of us, the GeForce would be

:13:43. > :13:46.unbearable. For an ex`red arrows pilot, a few flips and terms are

:13:47. > :13:54.easy. The flight team is getting ready for the aerobatics display at

:13:55. > :13:58.the Shoreham Air Show. 15 mhnutes of bedlam. We'll whip and roll and

:13:59. > :14:07.tumble. We tried to keep it very tight. It is run to raise money for

:14:08. > :14:12.the Royal Air Force Association Hopefully we will make ?2 mhllion

:14:13. > :14:16.this year. At the end of thd month, it celebrates its 25th anniversary.

:14:17. > :14:22.Organisers believe this year is extra special. We have the Great War

:14:23. > :14:30.display team replicating First World War aircraft and doing a fascinating

:14:31. > :14:39.display of nine aircraft. For many, it will be the last chance to see

:14:40. > :14:45.the last two Lancaster bombdrs. As well as the Lancaster bombers, the

:14:46. > :14:54.Vulcan will also graced the skies on Saturday. For this veteran, a

:14:55. > :15:02.childhood dream came true today In 1947, I was at school and wd all

:15:03. > :15:09.wanted to fly Spitfires. By the time I got to be an aviator, I ttrned out

:15:10. > :15:16.to be a navigator and not a pilot and the were not any Spitfires

:15:17. > :15:24.anymore. The area shall runners as death`defying sites and nostalgic

:15:25. > :15:43.sounds. `` area `` Shoreham Air Show. Things have settled down a

:15:44. > :15:44.bit. Southampton boss Ronald Koelan says

:15:45. > :15:47.Morgan Schneiderlin is readx to play at Liverpool in the season opener

:15:48. > :15:49.on Sunday. Schneiderlin wants to be thd latest

:15:50. > :15:52.big name to leave St Mary's after a summer which saw five salds, but

:15:53. > :15:55.now seven new additions, including the double signings of Shand Long

:15:56. > :15:57.and Florin Gardos yesterday. The club did everything to bring

:15:58. > :16:02.in good new players but we are still looking forward to

:16:03. > :16:06.bringing the one or two in. The wing position,

:16:07. > :16:11.we need one in that position. Ronald Koeman speaking

:16:12. > :16:20.this afternoon. So what's in store for Saints

:16:21. > :16:41.after an incredible few weeks One word might best describd the

:16:42. > :16:56.changes at Southampton the summer. Seismic. Three players now `t

:16:57. > :17:01.Liverpool, and two more plaxers gone along with the manager. But there is

:17:02. > :17:09.plenty of new talent. Including James Ward`Prowse. We lost ` lot of

:17:10. > :17:13.players but it is time to step up and maintain the level that the club

:17:14. > :17:19.is at at the moment and push it onto achieving European football. It is

:17:20. > :17:24.disappointing because they `re key players and they played massive

:17:25. > :17:34.parts in the club's success. He was a good friend of mine. Whether Adam

:17:35. > :17:40.Lala gone is James Ward`Prowse going to step up? He was a fan favourite

:17:41. > :17:53.and hopefully I will take on that role. This is the manager 's first

:17:54. > :17:59.Premier League job. You can see the ideas he is trying to implelent and

:18:00. > :18:03.the lads are thriving under that. We are all looking forward to seeing it

:18:04. > :18:10.through the season. There are a host of new players for fans to hdolise.

:18:11. > :18:21.They have settled on really well. They have scored plenty of goals and

:18:22. > :18:29.other leagues and have been at the top of the table. The locals are

:18:30. > :18:32.indulging in pre`kick`off ftnd. We are focusing on ourselves and making

:18:33. > :18:35.sure we do every thing right as a team. If we do that we can get three

:18:36. > :18:45.points and be happy. Now the FA Cup extra`prelimhnary

:18:46. > :18:48.round kicks off this weekend and The club's manager is

:18:49. > :18:51.James Phillips. He lives at home,

:18:52. > :18:53.hasn't long left full time dducation He'll become what's thought to be

:18:54. > :18:58.the youngest manager ever to lead a team

:18:59. > :19:08.into an FA Cup tie this weekend By day, he sets out motor vdhicles.

:19:09. > :19:17.By night, he is getting Romsey Town into shape. In April, they lade

:19:18. > :19:24.James Phillips their manager. He was 21 at the time. I was not expecting

:19:25. > :19:34.it but as soon as they asked it was one of those, I just wanted to get

:19:35. > :19:42.started. He has FA coaching badges and will start his UEFA course next

:19:43. > :19:48.month. After school, I would sit there with tactics all night. I used

:19:49. > :19:52.to take the small clubs to the Premier League. Easterly all the way

:19:53. > :20:03.through to the premiership, definitely. It is fascinating to

:20:04. > :20:09.watch on the training ground. Over 30 players training for Sattrday's

:20:10. > :20:15.game. And a 22`year`old man`ger completely in charge and in control.

:20:16. > :20:20.It is very much his club. Initially, the general consensus was, xou know,

:20:21. > :20:26.22, it could be caught. How will it work out? Home is he going to come

:20:27. > :20:37.across? When he puts his knowledge across, you forget about thd age.

:20:38. > :20:44.Tomorrow it is fair for a place in the FA Cup. Everything is about my

:20:45. > :20:54.age, I need to make sure I can deliver. Good luck tomorrow.

:20:55. > :20:56.Eastleigh have made it two wins from two in Conference Premher.

:20:57. > :20:59.Their League game with Hampshire rivals Aldershot Town was goalless

:21:00. > :21:02.in the final minute of stoppage time when Ben Wright ghosted in from a

:21:03. > :21:06.Gosport ladies like a drink and dancing the Can Can.

:21:07. > :21:10.No, not my words but the lyrics to a song about them that's bedn

:21:11. > :21:15.Gosport Nancy is part sea shanty, part folk song `

:21:16. > :21:19.although no`one really knows where it came from or how old it hs.

:21:20. > :21:25.We sent Alex Dyke to find ott whether it's a fair portray`l.

:21:26. > :21:27.Musician Mike Oldfield put Portsmouth in the charts

:21:28. > :21:31.in the 1970s and now, at last, on the other side of the water, a

:21:32. > :21:48.Have you heard of a song by Bellowhead called Gosport Nancy?

:21:49. > :21:52.My dad sings it to my littld girl cos she's called Nancy.

:21:53. > :21:55.Apparently, Gosport girls, it says in the song, are very good

:21:56. > :22:01.Well, if she's like her mother, of course.

:22:02. > :22:05.# The Gosport ladies, they do the best they can

:22:06. > :22:07.# But for making a bed for ` sailor's head

:22:08. > :22:15.It's the number one single hn Gosport right now.

:22:16. > :22:18.Outselling everything else right now.

:22:19. > :22:24.Is this the biggest selling single in Gosport in the last five years?

:22:25. > :22:28.# Gosport girls can drink for England

:22:29. > :22:34.# Gosport girls will drink the lot... #

:22:35. > :22:44.Yeah, but your hair's not long enough for prog rock now, is it

:22:45. > :22:56.To find out more about Gosport Nancy, I've decided to come

:22:57. > :22:58.to the beautiful town of Whitchurch, in Hampshire.

:22:59. > :23:02.Because this is the home of Bellowhead's Paul Sartin.

:23:03. > :23:07.We don't know much about the history of it.

:23:08. > :23:10.One theory is it comes from the 1930s, another is ht came

:23:11. > :23:15.We know it was written down by a folk song collector called

:23:16. > :23:18.Cyril Tawney who published ht in the '70s and that's where we fotnd it.

:23:19. > :23:22.If any of your viewers can let us know any more information

:23:23. > :23:28.# All the Gosport ladies, they do the French Can Can. #

:23:29. > :23:31.Is it true that Gosport girls can do the French Can Can?

:23:32. > :23:54.Mike Oldfield's Portsmouth, Bellowhead's Gosport Nancy?

:23:55. > :23:57.I'm an Isle of Wight boy ` I've got a ticket to ride.

:23:58. > :24:02.# Oh, Nancy, can't you see xou're the only girl for me?

:24:03. > :24:05.And you can see the whole song on our Facebook page and

:24:06. > :24:07.if you know anything about where the song origin`lly came

:24:08. > :24:18.from you can get in touch on there, or via Twitter or email.
