:00:00. > :00:00.spells and it will get warmer -- sunny spells. A story with a happy

:00:00. > :00:00.ending. The search widens for

:00:00. > :00:11.a five`year`old boy with a brain tumour who was taken by his parents

:00:12. > :00:24.from Southampton General Hospital. If he does not receive urgent

:00:25. > :00:27.medical care or the wrong treatment is given, his condition will become

:00:28. > :00:29.life`threatening. Concerns over a lack of some

:00:30. > :00:40.prescription drugs for patients. At the moment there do not seem to

:00:41. > :00:42.be enough drugs to go around but the exciting of telling people that you

:00:43. > :00:44.cannot get the right medication that they need has an impact on their

:00:45. > :00:45.health as well. Tax breaks to boost

:00:46. > :00:48.the gaming industry with a focus on British heritage and we'll meet

:00:49. > :00:53.again but sadly not this weekend. The Lancaster reunion that's been

:00:54. > :01:05.postponed. Recovering from a major operation,

:01:06. > :01:08.seriously ill from a brain tumour, and with medical equipment feeding

:01:09. > :01:12.him running out of power. A desperately sick little Hampshire

:01:13. > :01:15.boy is being searched for on the continent tonight after being taken

:01:16. > :01:19.out of hospital by his parents. As the search continues, questions

:01:20. > :01:23.are being asked as to the handling of the case by the hospital,

:01:24. > :01:26.and the motivation of his parents. Our health correspondent

:01:27. > :01:28.David Fenton is at David, just tell us what has

:01:29. > :01:44.happened and what the latest is? What happened was the parents of

:01:45. > :01:50.this quite seriously ill young boy took him out of hospital yesterday

:01:51. > :01:54.afternoon, just seven days after surgery for a brain tumour, and they

:01:55. > :01:59.did not bring him back. This was the moment at 2pm yesterday when he was

:02:00. > :02:03.brought out in his buggy. You can perhaps see the feeding tube

:02:04. > :02:12.attached to him there. He was taken on a ferry to France and presumably

:02:13. > :02:14.he is still somewhere on the continent while a major police

:02:15. > :02:19.search is underway looking for him and the entire family. We learned

:02:20. > :02:23.today that the hospital took six and a half hours to alert police to the

:02:24. > :02:27.fact that he was missing and in the last half`hour we have heard that

:02:28. > :02:32.the batteries that power his feeding equipment have probably run out so

:02:33. > :02:40.his condition will deteriorate quite rapidly from now on.

:02:41. > :02:45.A little boy fighting for life. At his bedside, a loving family. There

:02:46. > :02:51.is no doubt that Ashya's parents and rest of the family had felt the

:02:52. > :02:58.strain of the discovery that he had a brain tumour. His big brother

:02:59. > :03:01.expressed his feelings in a video on YouTube. I have been awake all night

:03:02. > :03:06.worrying. Everyone is praying for you. We want to see your smile

:03:07. > :03:09.again. No kid at the age of five years old is praying for you. We

:03:10. > :03:16.want to see your smile again. No kid at the age of five years old

:03:17. > :03:21.deserves to have think they should be concerned about his treatment.

:03:22. > :03:25.Police today said that Ashya been removed without consent and they

:03:26. > :03:31.have now backtracked and accepted the parents acted within their

:03:32. > :03:35.rights. To be honest that is not our concern at the moment, our focus is

:03:36. > :03:40.on recovering Ashya. We can talk about terminology but it does not

:03:41. > :03:43.matter. All we want to do is appeal to his parents or anyone else in the

:03:44. > :03:57.public who might know where he ears that there is a desperate need to

:03:58. > :03:59.ensure that he gets the medical care that he needs. Tonight, as French

:04:00. > :04:01.police use social media to seek the public's help to find the family,

:04:02. > :04:04.one legal expert said the hospital would now be viewing them very

:04:05. > :04:06.differently. I would guess they would have asked the court to make

:04:07. > :04:10.orders for the return of the child from France to this jurisdiction.

:04:11. > :04:15.Also, potentially to allow the hospital that is treating the child

:04:16. > :04:21.to administer any emergency medical care that may be required. But first

:04:22. > :04:31.Ashya is to be found. Tonight the search continues. Returning to

:04:32. > :04:35.David, we know that Ashya seriously ill and this feeding equipment has a

:04:36. > :04:41.battery that is running out. How seriously ill is he?

:04:42. > :04:47.Well I do not think anyone really knows exactly what his condition is

:04:48. > :04:51.at the moment, other than that he is in a very dangerous situation.

:04:52. > :04:55.Generally speaking patients who have had a brain tumour operation are

:04:56. > :05:00.liable to seizures sometimes, epileptic fits and often they cannot

:05:01. > :05:03.swallow properly, hence the need for special feeding tubes. They require

:05:04. > :05:08.a whole range of medication which unless he is in a hospital at the

:05:09. > :05:12.moment he is probably not getting. Any indication as to why the family

:05:13. > :05:17.have behaved like this? You know there was a lot of talk

:05:18. > :05:20.today about Jehovah's Witnesses and religion and whether that was a part

:05:21. > :05:24.of their decision. The police say they are keeping an open mind on the

:05:25. > :05:29.matter and Jehovah's Witness groups say there is no indication that it

:05:30. > :05:33.had anything to do with this case. My observation is that offer me

:05:34. > :05:36.issue here is around blood transfusion which usually comes

:05:37. > :05:44.before surgery. Of course Ashya had his surgery seven days ago.

:05:45. > :05:48.Do we have any explanation as to why there was a six`hour gap before the

:05:49. > :05:52.police were alerted. That does seem puzzling, doesn't it?

:05:53. > :05:56.But hospitals are not prisons and patients can leave, even if they are

:05:57. > :06:00.with their parent `` even if they are children and with their parents.

:06:01. > :06:04.They can wander around the gardens for several hours so it could be

:06:05. > :06:08.sometime before the staff realised he was not coming back. They would

:06:09. > :06:18.then have to search the site and then try to contact the parents and

:06:19. > :06:21.finally alert the police the hospital have issued a full medical

:06:22. > :06:24.report to any hospital on the continent that he may go to to help

:06:25. > :06:25.them but has yet Ashya is still missing and still in danger and the

:06:26. > :06:26.police are still searching for him. Brittany Ferries has confirmed that

:06:27. > :06:28.the family were on board the Normandy Express fast

:06:29. > :06:31.catamaran sailing from Portsmouth to Cherbourg yesterday,

:06:32. > :06:33.in their grey Hyundai car. The company also says that

:06:34. > :06:35.the family had declared they were travelling with

:06:36. > :06:37.a child with special medical needs These pictures posted on YouTube

:06:38. > :06:41.by Ashya's brother show the family Let's cross to our correspondent

:06:42. > :06:49.Lucy Williamson in Paris. What can you tell us

:06:50. > :07:03.about the investigation in France? French police have disseminated

:07:04. > :07:07.details of the family's vehicle to the media organisations. They have

:07:08. > :07:10.given a description of the car and the family and given the car

:07:11. > :07:15.registration number. They have made a point that it is right hand drive

:07:16. > :07:17.car from the UK so it is different to French cars so they hope people

:07:18. > :07:20.will come forward. to French cars so they hope people

:07:21. > :07:24.will come They say they have not had much response. Just that handful of

:07:25. > :07:47.people have so far called in so they are trying to widen the appeal. They

:07:48. > :07:49.are not disseminating photos of the boy his family.

:07:50. > :07:52.They say that doing that often leads to a lot of information coming in

:07:53. > :07:54.from the public that is not very useful to the police and ties up the

:07:55. > :07:57.police officers. They are focusing on the car because they think it is

:07:58. > :08:00.a precise piece of information and if the public can help them find

:08:01. > :08:02.that vehicle they will find the family. There is an Interpol alert

:08:03. > :08:04.for the missing boy. How significant is that?

:08:05. > :08:06.It shows how much information we have at the moment about whether

:08:07. > :08:09.family is. There is now taught that the family will have had enough time

:08:10. > :08:12.to drive out of France so they may not be in the country at all the

:08:13. > :08:15.vice prosecutor is scaling up the search but he is also saying that we

:08:16. > :08:19.do not actually nowhere in France they are or even if they are in

:08:20. > :08:22.France. Thank you for joining us this

:08:23. > :08:43.evening. If you have any information

:08:44. > :08:48.and his family, you're asked to call Hampshire Police on the 101 number

:08:49. > :08:51.It's been revealed that patients are waiting weeks for vital prescription

:08:52. > :08:54.medicines because of a shortage of stock in chemists across the south.

:08:55. > :08:57.In some cases vital drugs for blood pressure, allergies, and breast

:08:58. > :09:00.Chemists say the issue is particularly bad here

:09:01. > :09:03.because of an older population and fluctuations in demand due to

:09:04. > :09:06.They also warn that lives could be put at risk.

:09:07. > :09:09.Coming to collect a prescription is routine for many of us.

:09:10. > :09:11.But what if the drug's not available?

:09:12. > :09:15.This order will take a few days but some patients have to wait

:09:16. > :09:29.information this is our latest list of out of stock that we have just

:09:30. > :09:34.sent. I have several items here that are subject to quotas by

:09:35. > :09:37.manufacturers. Problems that are rumbling on at the moment are with

:09:38. > :09:40.adrenaline pens that we do not want to run out of because of serious

:09:41. > :09:42.consequences resulting, even death. For older drugs the reason

:09:43. > :09:45.for shortage is simple ` Manufacturers

:09:46. > :09:47.of new drugs only release a limited amount, a quota, into the UK, to

:09:48. > :09:51.stop them being sold on at profit. So if individual pharmacies with

:09:52. > :10:02.specific local needs run out ` At the moment there are not enough

:10:03. > :10:05.drugs to go round. I spent my whole time on the phone trying to source

:10:06. > :10:10.medicines from various different suppliers. I have a particular

:10:11. > :10:13.patient who has gone without his blood`pressure medicine which leads

:10:14. > :10:15.to a rise in his BP and that potentially puts him at risk of a

:10:16. > :10:17.heart attack or stroke. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society

:10:18. > :10:20.says the problem is huge and wants the government to encourage

:10:21. > :10:29.suppliers to be more flexible. The government will not do anything

:10:30. > :10:32.because we have a free trade situation in Europe. We say that

:10:33. > :10:37.actually you should be looking at this because patients are suffering.

:10:38. > :10:38.They are putting trade before patients which is wrong.

:10:39. > :10:40.The Department of Health sent us a statement

:10:41. > :10:42.admitting there are occasionally problems in the supply chain,

:10:43. > :10:52.but saying it continues to mitigate these problems wherever it can.

:10:53. > :10:56.Have things improved? I still cannot get medicine for my patients so to

:10:57. > :10:58.me things have not improved. The Portsmouth Liberal Democrats

:10:59. > :11:00.have formally chosen Gerald Vernon`Jackson to be

:11:01. > :11:04.their parliamentary candidate for Portsmouth South

:11:05. > :11:07.at the next election. The party released this photograph

:11:08. > :11:11.after the selection was made at Gerald Vernon`Jackson was leader

:11:12. > :11:17.of Portsmouth City Council for ten years until this summer

:11:18. > :11:19.when he resigned after The Portsmouth South seat has been

:11:20. > :11:25.held for a total of 20 years by Mike Hancock, who is currently

:11:26. > :11:38.suspended from the Lib Dem party. Still to come

:11:39. > :11:40.in this evening's South Today: The latest from the

:11:41. > :11:42.Bournemouth Airshow and why a reunion of the last two

:11:43. > :11:49.flying Lancasters won't now happen. A row has broken out over the

:11:50. > :11:53.handling of education on the Isle of Hampshire took over services last

:11:54. > :11:57.year after concerns over pass rates. Now a councillor who speaks

:11:58. > :12:03.on education for the Conservative group on the island, has criticised

:12:04. > :12:22.Hampshire over its handling of the It was a day of celebration for many

:12:23. > :12:33.but overall the schools on the Isle of Wight are down on the number of

:12:34. > :12:43.pupils achieving good grades, including Carisbrooke College. Last

:12:44. > :12:46.year we went up 29%. We looked at or out indications and we thought we

:12:47. > :12:50.would have a slight improvement but we did not. There is a national

:12:51. > :12:57.picture of volatility, particularly in English, and we went down 14% in

:12:58. > :13:05.English which had" on our overall headline figures. One councillor

:13:06. > :13:08.said it should have been picked up. They should have spotted this result

:13:09. > :13:11.coming down the tracks towards them. It has come as a complete shock and

:13:12. > :13:16.it should not have happened if proper tacky `` tracking was being

:13:17. > :13:21.done and data was being challenged as they say it is. The council took

:13:22. > :13:25.over the running of education on the island last year. It is not their

:13:26. > :13:30.job to predict our school results, that is our job and based on our

:13:31. > :13:33.improvements which have been noted especially by the students and the

:13:34. > :13:36.students say this school is a far better place but it looks as though

:13:37. > :13:41.the improvements have not had a chance yet to impact on our exam

:13:42. > :13:49.results but they will in time. This year Isle of Wight schools got the

:13:50. > :13:54.lowest GCSE results since 2011. It is almost 2% lower than last year.

:13:55. > :13:58.Hampshire have gone beyond what they first signed up for. They have

:13:59. > :14:02.worked in partnership and gone the extra mile. The Key stage two

:14:03. > :14:06.attendants results and A`level results are indicative of that.

:14:07. > :14:08.There are some good GCSE results and some positive process growing

:14:09. > :14:14.teaching staff and the communities of this island as a result of the

:14:15. > :14:19.partnership. The target is to match the national average by 2016.

:14:20. > :14:20.Beach`goers in Littlehampton have been warned to

:14:21. > :14:23.avoid going for a swim for 24 hours because Southern Water has been

:14:24. > :14:28.Waste is being diverted from the Sea Road pumping station as engineers

:14:29. > :14:33.It will be released 100 metres off the coast in an effort to protect

:14:34. > :14:38.We've heard of plans for teaching Britishness in schools.

:14:39. > :14:40.But how about making video games that better

:14:41. > :14:45.This month the government introduced new tax breaks

:14:46. > :14:51.But it will only be paid to companies who meet a cultural test

:14:52. > :14:56.Our Political Editor Peter Henley asks if that makes sense

:14:57. > :15:14.Jousting, Mortal Kombat between knights of old. It is the ultimate

:15:15. > :15:20.sport from Britain's heritage. These pictures from a festival of jousting

:15:21. > :15:27.at Arran dulling Sussex last year. It is the inspiration for this video

:15:28. > :15:32.game. It is created by a company in Oxford who is Chief Executive takes

:15:33. > :15:36.part himself. Sometimes in the summer it can get absolutely

:15:37. > :15:39.steaming. He was one of those leading the charge for tax

:15:40. > :15:45.reductions to help British Games companies, Pete. People are setting

:15:46. > :15:49.up new studios but not in the UK. The idea of tax breaks is to tweak

:15:50. > :15:54.the percentages in favour of people making the decision to work in the

:15:55. > :16:01.UK. I am hoping that what happens is that slows the brain drain down or

:16:02. > :16:05.even reverses it. He was taking part in a medieval fair at Leeds Castle

:16:06. > :16:10.this week. It is more tricky than it looks but easier than what is going

:16:11. > :16:14.on out there. The battle for tax breaks for British Games companies

:16:15. > :16:18.is all about a joust with the European Union. They felt that

:16:19. > :16:22.giving British companies 20% of their production costs back was just

:16:23. > :16:28.a little unfair so they introduced what they called British cultural

:16:29. > :16:43.tests. Is this just a dodge to justify an EU subsidy? The minister

:16:44. > :16:46.who signed the deal says it is not. In my view Britishness sells around

:16:47. > :16:48.the world and you only have to see the success of the Harry Potter

:16:49. > :16:51.franchise made by an American film studio but with British actors made

:16:52. > :16:53.in Britain with a British grit and the British writer. Foreign visitors

:16:54. > :16:54.are the medieval fair could see the appeal of a British game.

:16:55. > :16:57.the British writer. Foreign visitors are the Would you buy a British

:16:58. > :17:02.game? Yes, to be honest for the language. Maybe some of the history

:17:03. > :17:09.as well? Yes. Expect more Games with the British flavour such as Lara

:17:10. > :17:15.Croft and her butler for the global market.

:17:16. > :17:19.I quite like all of that jousting! It is quite good fun. Tony is here

:17:20. > :17:22.with the sport. We start with transfers.

:17:23. > :17:25.When does the window close? It is all very exciting at this time of

:17:26. > :17:35.year because the August transfer window shuts at Monday at 11pm.

:17:36. > :17:37.Expect some activity from our clubs. It is all a bit last`minute,

:17:38. > :17:46.especially from Reading. Reading will sell goalkeeper

:17:47. > :17:48.Alex MCCarthy before the transfer It had been expected that

:17:49. > :17:52.the 24`year`old would sign for Queens Park Rangers this afternoon

:17:53. > :17:55.in a three million pound deal. That hasn't yet been confirmed

:17:56. > :17:57.though, despite the player having been speculation of late interest

:17:58. > :18:00.from Liverpool for the Royals In the Premier League Ronald Koeman

:18:01. > :18:04.looks for his first win as Saints boss as his side travel to West Ham

:18:05. > :18:07.In the Championship Bournemouth are on the road, Brighton back at the

:18:08. > :18:10.Amex Both Swindon and MK Dons have home fixtures in league one

:18:11. > :18:12.while Portsmouth, unbeaten in League Two, host Newport

:18:13. > :18:17.and winless Oxford really need to get something from their game

:18:18. > :18:20.against Dagenham and Redbridge. Commentary on local radio

:18:21. > :18:23.and highlights on both Match of the Day and the football league show

:18:24. > :18:29.tomorrow night here on BBC One. The FA Cup is back

:18:30. > :18:32.on the BBC this season and here at South Today we are shining

:18:33. > :18:35.a light on the competition right We started at Romsey two weeks ago

:18:36. > :18:40.in the extra preliminary round. So, continuing the thread I've been

:18:41. > :19:08.to the home of the Creeksiders to A good ball. Perfect. That is better

:19:09. > :19:14.place. This is the home of Fareham town. They have beaten Romsey 3`1 in

:19:15. > :19:18.the extra preliminary round, setting up again this weekend. They hope to

:19:19. > :19:22.take another step towards the first round of this competition which is a

:19:23. > :19:29.place they have been to four times. The last time was 1988. They pulled

:19:30. > :19:33.off a shock by drawing two ` two at Torquay United and the League Cup

:19:34. > :19:38.came back for a replay. It was a memorable night but the Hampshire

:19:39. > :19:42.club finally bowed out, losing 3`2. The manager now and for the last six

:19:43. > :19:48.years has been Fareham boy Matt Parr. I was here that they `` day.

:19:49. > :19:52.It was such a massive game for the club and to get that far was

:19:53. > :19:55.excellent. Watching as a youngster was brilliant and the days of being

:19:56. > :19:59.in the Southern Premier League, we are a long way from that at the

:20:00. > :20:05.moment and it would be good to get to that stage again. Saturday is

:20:06. > :20:09.important for us. This weekend they placed `` face a team from Bristol.

:20:10. > :20:21.Victory and there is still another four rounds to go before the first

:20:22. > :20:24.round proper. It is nice to give summing back to the supporters who

:20:25. > :20:27.are committed. We have a number of fans who come to away Games and

:20:28. > :20:31.travel around so it is nice to have run so they can enjoy it basically.

:20:32. > :20:35.At the end of the day you're playing in the same competition as people

:20:36. > :20:42.like Manchester United so it is a dream for us all. Good luck to

:20:43. > :20:43.Fareham and we will tell you the result on Monday.

:20:44. > :20:46.Britian's rowers, who are based at Caversham, are set to compete

:20:47. > :20:49.in a series of finals this weekend in the world rowing championships.

:20:50. > :20:51.Southampton's James Foad along with partner Matt Langridge will

:20:52. > :20:54.They qualified second in their semi final.

:20:55. > :20:56.Also going for gold are the so`far unbeatable

:20:57. > :21:00.pair of Helen Glover and Heather Stanning in the women's pair.

:21:01. > :21:02.What's billed as the world's toughest offshore powerboat race

:21:03. > :21:05.takes place this weekend The Cowes Torquay Cowes race starts early on

:21:06. > :21:08.Sunday morning with around 20 boats due to be on the start line for the

:21:09. > :21:11.200 mile round trip down to the Devon coast and back again.

:21:12. > :21:18.Leading boats can hit on the water speeds of 85 miles per hour.

:21:19. > :21:20.It's a spectacular sight along the coastline

:21:21. > :21:26.and there's a lot of places to get a vantage point, starting with

:21:27. > :21:29.Egypt Point the times listed are for the first and second legs.

:21:30. > :21:31.Other viewing points include Hurst Castle, Fort Victoria, Anvil Point,

:21:32. > :21:47.Do check the times as they can be affected by the weather.

:21:48. > :21:52.Good luck to everyone taking part in that.

:21:53. > :21:57.We will have the weather before we find out about Bournemouth Air

:21:58. > :22:00.Festival. Is it my imagination or is it getting colder?

:22:01. > :22:03.Yes, it is slightly cooler. Temperatures are below the seasonal

:22:04. > :22:09.average and for 20 years it has been the coldest August. And the 18th

:22:10. > :22:12.wettest in the UK. We have some lovely weather pictures.

:22:13. > :22:13.Stormy skies over Lymington this morning.

:22:14. > :22:16.Ashley Cooper took this picture from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

:22:17. > :22:19.Phil Little took this picture of the grey skies over Blackbushe Airport

:22:20. > :22:22.near Yateley in Hampshire And Neil Lawrence took this photo of a

:22:23. > :22:34.We did have a few showers today and they were on the heavy side in place

:22:35. > :22:37.is particularly in Hampshire. Tonight the showers will continue

:22:38. > :22:41.with outbreaks of rain at times and it is a fairly mild night. The rain

:22:42. > :22:44.moves from west to east and a lot of cloud around a night and maybe

:22:45. > :22:54.they'll top fog. The breeze should keep it at bay. These temperatures

:22:55. > :22:57.are for towns and cities and in the countryside it will be slightly

:22:58. > :23:01.lower than that. Ben first thing for the Isle of Wight, West Sussex and

:23:02. > :23:06.Hampshire. And improving picture tomorrow with a lot of dry weather

:23:07. > :23:08.and the odd stray shower in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

:23:09. > :23:14.Slightly more clout with temperatures tomorrow up to 18 or 19

:23:15. > :23:17.degrees. That is a notch below the seasonal average at this time of

:23:18. > :23:22.year. The wind will not be as strong as it was today. Clear skies

:23:23. > :23:27.tonight, a quiet night. A few showers initially but most places

:23:28. > :23:33.have dry weather to start the day on Sunday. There will be a change

:23:34. > :23:37.because high pressure is building in from the Atlantic and turning things

:23:38. > :23:40.fairly settled for the second part of the weekend. A lot of sunshine

:23:41. > :23:45.initially on Sunday and then the cloud builds up. The sunshine could

:23:46. > :23:49.turn hazy in places. A weather front moves in on Monday despite the high

:23:50. > :23:54.pressure and that means we could have rain at times on Monday and

:23:55. > :23:55.also Tuesday morning. A lot of events taking place this weekend and

:23:56. > :24:17.the weather looks fairly good. Fairly good for events taking place

:24:18. > :24:22.this weekend, especially Sunday. On Monday the weather front bushes in

:24:23. > :24:25.from the Atlantic so rain at times and temperatures will be suppressed

:24:26. > :24:29.where we have the rain and then Tuesday starts on a damp the good

:24:30. > :24:33.news is that high pressure builds in from the Atlantic so Wednesday,

:24:34. > :24:38.Thursday and Friday next week will be warm. Temperatures could be above

:24:39. > :24:43.the seasonal average. Today we had a high of 19 degrees and next

:24:44. > :24:46.Wednesday we could have a high of 25 degrees.

:24:47. > :24:48.That is so much better! Thank you very much.

:24:49. > :24:51.It's one of the aviation events of the south's year,

:24:52. > :24:54.And this year we were looking forward to particularly

:24:55. > :24:57.Because the last two airworthy Lancaster bombers were set to appear

:24:58. > :25:00.The British one being joined by a Canadian plane.

:25:01. > :25:05.The Canadian aircraft today developed an engine problem

:25:06. > :25:08.The aircraft is now undergoing maintenance and will not make

:25:09. > :25:21.That is a great pity but there is plenty of other stuff going on.

:25:22. > :25:27.Sarah Farmer has been following the drama of the day.

:25:28. > :25:32.Wings clipped and engine silenced. This is one of just two Lancaster 's

:25:33. > :25:35.that are still flying in the world. Both were meant to grace the skies

:25:36. > :25:39.today but neither did. Both were meant to grace the skies

:25:40. > :25:42.today but neither did. It suffered engine failure up in Teeside and

:25:43. > :25:45.they had to shut the engine down which means they have got to do some

:25:46. > :25:49.maintenance to get her flying again. The good news is she was put

:25:50. > :25:53.down on the ground safely and the guys are looking after her and

:25:54. > :25:57.hopefully it will not be long before we fly together again. The pair flew

:25:58. > :26:02.together last weekend but until she has been given the all clear they

:26:03. > :26:14.will not be performing together. The Canadian Lancaster was faced with

:26:15. > :26:17.engine difficulties but for the rest of the Battle of Britain Memorial

:26:18. > :26:19.flight team it was the weather that hampered them. They have got

:26:20. > :26:21.crosswind limits of 15 knots and today's conditions meant that they

:26:22. > :26:24.remained grounded. We are as disappointed, if not more so, than

:26:25. > :26:28.everyone else and that is why we have come down here. We like to show

:26:29. > :26:31.the public these aeroplanes and we are incredibly disappointed not to

:26:32. > :26:35.be able to do that. Of course with the Canadian Lancaster not being

:26:36. > :26:39.able to come down either it just means a double disappointment for

:26:40. > :26:47.us. Despite a gap in the schedule the air Festival programme moved on.

:26:48. > :26:53.The crowds could yet get a glimpse of the British Lancaster. The

:26:54. > :26:56.weather is looking a lot better for tomorrow so hopefully the wind will

:26:57. > :27:00.drop off. Sadly the two Lancaster 's are unlikely to fly together this

:27:01. > :27:04.weekend but certainly the Battle of Britain Memorial flight, we are

:27:05. > :27:09.planning to get airborne and instead the crowds at Bournemouth tomorrow

:27:10. > :27:12.and on Sunday. The Battle of Britain Memorial flight crews hope to climb

:27:13. > :27:17.into the crowds this weekend `` clouds this weekend as a tribute,

:27:18. > :27:22.following in the flight path of the World War II heroes that went before

:27:23. > :27:26.them. Lots going on at the Bournemouth Air

:27:27. > :27:29.Festival all weekend. It is also the sure as show as well so just looked

:27:30. > :27:34.at the skies this weekend something good will be happening somewhere.

:27:35. > :27:39.The weather will be good for them. Yes, much better than today with

:27:40. > :27:42.lighter wind and some sunshine. Whatever you are doing have a

:27:43. > :27:44.fantastic time. We will all be back on Monday as usual. Thank you for.

:27:45. > :27:50.Good night.
