:03:44. > :03:46.All of those things we have seen people sorting out over the last few
:03:47. > :03:49.weeks because they have had a decent night's suite.

:03:56. > :03:57.The project is running for six months and involves seven
:03:58. > :04:06.Each church takes one night a week offering beds to rough sleepers.
:04:07. > :04:09.This man has been on and off the streets for 15 years and says

:04:12. > :04:23.You have to watch your back and you always get robbed and have
:04:24. > :04:26.It is never showing anyone your money and you have to safeguard
:04:27. > :04:30.yourself because no one else will look after you.
:04:31. > :04:33.I have seen friends beaten up and stabbed, I have been stabbed.
:04:34. > :04:36.They have helped me make a plan of action to move on and be
:04:37. > :04:39.independent and it is working pretty well and I have two
:04:40. > :04:44.The charity says that rough sleepers are a growing concern in Bournemouth
:04:45. > :04:54.and the churches felt it was their turn to step in.
:04:55. > :04:56.While many people are relaxing over the holidays, volunteers
:04:57. > :04:59.with a Buckinghamshire charity spend their time on standby,
:05:00. > :05:01.with the possibility of being flown to a disaster zone anywhere
:05:02. > :05:05.For victims of natural disasters or for those in war zones,
:05:06. > :05:07.the work of volunteers with charities like MapAction
:05:08. > :05:09.can make the difference between life or death.
:05:10. > :05:18.It was the Indian Ocean tsunami on Boxing Day that saw
:05:19. > :05:22.MapAction's first rapid response emergency mission.
:05:23. > :05:26.It deploys volunteers to natural disaster or conflict zones
:05:27. > :05:31.to map changes in terrain, access transport routes
:05:32. > :05:34.as well as highlighting which areas are worst affected than precisely
:05:35. > :05:46.where different aid organisations and rescue teams are operating.
:05:47. > :05:49.The charity has grown to 12 staff and 76 volunteers, among them
:05:50. > :05:52.Naomi Morris who returned from Iraq a couple of weeks ago
:05:53. > :05:54.and juggles her voluntary role overseas with working as a teacher
:05:55. > :05:57.and paramedic and mother of a young son.
