:23:24. > :23:31.the Grange Festival is about to David Allard has had
:23:32. > :23:52.a sneak preview. Opera, passionate emotions. Not
:23:53. > :23:57.always confined to the stage. The story behind the scenes is just as
:23:58. > :24:02.dramatic. The biggest challenges starting with scratch -- from
:24:03. > :24:12.scratch and with nothing. When we got the theatre, it was
:24:13. > :24:18.stripped of seats and everything and we had to fill the void. They raised
:24:19. > :24:23.?3 million to refit the theatre. Generous donors and a lot of
:24:24. > :24:27.goodwill have brought them to the brink of opening night. The new
:24:28. > :24:33.seats were an incredible gift from Cameron Mackintosh. We have
:24:34. > :24:37.reupholstered them and modernised them but they are essentially old
:24:38. > :24:44.seats which worked well in this theatre. Top price visiting in them
:24:45. > :24:51.is ?185. With other tickets available for ?10, they're hoping to
:24:52. > :25:00.get a diverse audience. Certainly cheaper than going to a football
:25:01. > :25:07.match. This is the first performance. You feel there is a lot
:25:08. > :25:13.of history and stories of its own. Other shows include Carmen and James
:25:14. > :25:22.-- Jane Austin, Mansfield Park. There was a message for those
:25:23. > :25:27.bringing music back to the Grange. A very loud and repeated thank you.
:25:28. > :25:36.Opening night is this Wednesday. It is sold out but there are tickets
:25:37. > :25:40.for the later performances. That is all for now. Fingers crossed that
:25:41. > :25:41.Sir Ben can get back on track in Bermuda. Thanks for watching.
:25:42. > :26:29.Goodbye. This government has decided
:26:30. > :26:38.to impose austerity on health care, the NHS has been underfunded
:26:39. > :26:42.by over 3% per year.
